I brought my car in for a oil change and after sitting there for over two hours my car was finally done. I drive away get 5 minutes down the road and my car breaks down. I check under the hood and see the ground wires to my battery are cut off. I call Toyota and they say its not their fault and someone else did it when they were the ones that worked on my car 5 minutes ago. they didn't want to pay for my tow back to get it fixed and told me I would have to pay for the new harness I needed to get it fixed. shadiest dealership ever. read more

Yesterday January 27th, 2016 I took my 2014 Avalon in for service and I have extended warrenty for 100,000 miles. Normally a courtesy car is provided if they keep my car in the service department. They were not able to resolve the issue with my car so they asked me to leave the car and come back tomorrow. The young lady named Zen told me she could not provide me with a courtesy car and that I would have to talk to the manager. So I asked her to get the manager and she told me he was on the phone. Well he was on the damn phone for over 30 mins and when he finally came out I went to greet him with a hand shake and he REFUSED TO SHAKE MY HAND AND TELLS ME "I dont shake hands with people" I was absolutely shocked and insulted. And he refused to help me out he still tells me that he will not provide me with a courtesy car even though they wanted me to leave my car over night. I was furious and digusted by the way this new prick manager Chris treated me. I have never dealt with any person like this at the Tracy Toyota dealership in my 15 years of coming here. I was always treated well by the previous service manager George. I will never return to the Tracy dealership. I will not be buying anymore cars from here. I hope no one has to deal with this kind of crap when taking their car in for the service they paid for! I ended up taking my car to the Fremont dealership where they gladly and politely took care of my situation and provided the service I paid for. read more

Very very disappointed with Tracy Toyota. We just left there looking to purchase a new Tundra, this is AFTER we checked inventory and prices online. We make the drive out to be greeted by a younger hispanic man who did not know shit!! I asked him 3 times what price they went by, the dealer price or msrp and was repeatedly told msrp. He claimed he "wasn't even sure what the dealer price was for, and thought it was just to show added items" We looked at a truck that was online but the price did not match. I again, questioned him. He told me they would honor the online price. After getting serious about possibly purchasing one we asked about warranties, it was then and ONLY then when he went to get someone who knew about Tundras a little more. Then an older short white lady comes out and basically told us that "we weren't even close" to having enough to purchase and that I was misquoted. Worst customer service ever!!! I brought my Toyota here last Thursday because I was having trouble with my seatbelt. The customer service guy tells me they will take care of it and my car should be ready around 2:00. I get no call so I called him around 4:00 and he said to me "oh, I have to get the work authorized... blah blah blah". Apparently my seatbelt has to be replaced and he has to make a call or send out an e-mail to someone. He said he would call me back when he is done. So now it's 6:00 and I am again waiting for his call back. So, I called him again but now he is gone for the day... wtf? The operator takes my number and calls the customer service guy and he calls me back a few minutes later. He tells me he is sorry he forgot to call and he is still waiting for the authorization. I told him I would be out of town for the weekend but to call me and let me know what's going on with my car. On Friday no call. Saturday no call. Sunday no call. Monday no call. So I CALLED HIM AGAIN around 4:00 and he tells me they ordered the parts and it will be here Wednesday. So after more of his blah blah blah I asked him "does it always take this long to get things authorized?" and his reply was "Well actually yes it does". Sh*t if you knew it was going to take that long shouldn't you let the customer know??? I'm thinking my car is going to be done in 2 days max not a whole week! Anyway, now it's Wednesday and they call me and tell me the part didn't come in!!! It should be here tomorrow they said... freaking bullsh*t!!! read more

I had the best car buying experience ever at Tracy Toyota this weekend! My salesman was David Mohsini and he was so helpful and kind. I went to buy a used car, but he ended up working a deal for me on a new car that was not much more than the used car wouldve been! He was so patient honest, and attentive, not at all pushy or aggressive like many car salesmen can be. He just truly wanted to do the best for me. Then in finance, Mr De Los Santos was also extremely nice and friendly and also not pushy at all. It was such a pleasant experience!! I've had many awful experiences at car dealerships in the past, so I was very apprehensive to go that day, but this was truly the best experience I've ever had. If I could give it a 0 I would off!! This place sucks seriously. I have bought 4 cars from Honda no problem!! But when we went to go look at trucks here it was too good to be true. The sales man was ok I should say but not really he started the process and ran my credit. We tried to negotiate the price on the truck and nope they don't do that we were there for ever!! We ended up leaving because it was taking a very long time and my baby was getting fussy they said they will give us a call in no more than 30 min to negotiate over he phone because they were waiting on the banks to respond. When we were passing by the sales man and the manager (I think) they were talking about money that they were only going to make a little on the sale!! WTF it's all about how much profit they were going to make they didn't even care to sell to us this is the second time it happens to us in this dealership they don't want to lower the price and even negotiate with us!! This review is more for Aaron Rivera, the finance manager who helped us sign our sales contract after the sales process, than anyone else. We drove all the way from San Jose to get what we thought was a great deal and we confirmed with the sales lady that we would get this deal. After refusing to purchase an extra $2000 warranty that Aaron was selling us, by the time we had signed all of our contracts the price of our car had gone up $150 and I found out they didn't give me $250 of my college rebate. It may not sound like much money, but when I asked Aaron for an explanation he made up some BS about "spreadsheets, calculations, blah blah blah." My advice: MAKE SURE to read your ANY PAPERWORK you're going to sign carefully. Ask for ALL paperwork upfront first because you cannot trust Aaron. The deal you settle on with your salesperson might not be the deal you get in the end, and Aaron will do anything to make sure he gets every penny out of you. EDIT: I contacted Cynthia regarding my purchase and essentially the dealership was able to do nothing to fix my issue. Apparently the GM claimed the whole rebate had been applied, even though the whole time during the negotiation process the salesperson told me she only took off $750 for the rebate, and not $1000. The GM also did nothing about the final price "miscommunication." So essentially, contacting the dealership after the buying process did nothing read more

Just bought a 4Runner from Tracy Toyota. Landon and Debra were very courteous and professional. Made the car buying experience an excellent one. This is the second vehicle I bought from this dealership and the first time was just as good as the second. After I got home and was looking closely at the contract, line by line, I noticed I was being charged $2300 for an extended warranty that I was told by finance manager would be only about $18.00 more a month. I also noticed I was being charged for the Executive Alarm of about $499 one time fee. I was told the Executive plan was already on the vehicle, so naturally, I thought it came automatically with the car, didn't notice I was being charged for it until I looked closely at the contract. I called the finance manager about the extended warranty being more than he quoted and he said he wrote down the interest rate because I agreed to the extended warranty. He had us sign paperwork to cancel the warranty plan. I'm still upset I'm paying for an alarm warranty that I really don't care to have because I thought it came with the car. I as was never told there was a cost associated with the Executive alarm policy. I'm also not happy with the amount I got for my trade in considering the dealership sold my trade in for $9,800 for which I traded it in for $4,000. That's a lot of profit folks! read more

I called the dealership to make sure that they would honor a Livermore coupon before I showed up there. I was told that they would do their best to honor the coupon. When we mentioned it to the service technician he walked away then returned saying that the best he would do is 49.95 without even knowing what the coupon said. So he's says he asked his manager and that's the best they would do. I asked to speak to the manager and he responded with why he ain't going to do nothing.... Really is that up to you when someone asks for the manager I will no longer give them my business! I will take my business to Livermore from now on. read more

I used to go to Livermore but the Livermore service department didn't give a damn about customer service and were just quietly rude, they acted like you were cattle. We just spent three hours attempting to get an oil change. Yes we had and appointment and yes we were on time. It fact early for our 0900am appointment. We were processed and told it would take an hour and a half. Yes one and a half hours for an oil change with an appointment. We came back at 1030am to pick up the car and were told it had not been done yet, in fact up to another hour. It appears Tracy Toyota has a problem with their racks and customers with large vehicles have to wait to use the only oil change rack that will hold large vehicles, again I have a Highlander. We were told it could take much more time. Now, Service Management not only knows about this issue, but does not care about the time Tracy Toyota steals from their customers by making them wait or informing them when making the appointment it cannot be honored. Do yourselves a big favor, do your business elsewhere, these folks do not care about you or your time. read more

Service department: Came in for my basic service on Friday morning. Came in early for my appointment. Was told that it would be about 2 hours due to a backup. Not that big of a deal. They have Wi-Fi so I can get done work done. 3 1/2 hours later I was still waiting for my car that was still being worked on. Told another 30 minutes. Over 4 1/2 hours later I get my car back. They didn't even finish the work because they couldn't find one of the parts they had ordered for me. AVOID IF AT ALL POSSIBLE! read more

This place is the reason people dislike car dealerships. While I was sitting in the car I was interested in test driving, waiting for the salesman to get the keys, a different interested party pulled up in their vehicle. They didn't get out of their car and seemed to just be browsing. The salesman literally dangled the keys in front of both of our faces and said, "who wants to test drive the most? The highest offer gets the keys." It was rude, condescending and completely unprofessional. I was shocked by his behavior and left immediately. The salesman also lied about the actual horsepower and factory warranty on the car. Not to mention the first thing he did was try to push me towards a more expensive vehicle. If you're interested in buying a Toyota, I truly recommend going ANYWHERE else but this place. If this is the way they treat customers before they even get to the paperwork, I can't imagine what they would try to pull before closing a sale. read more

Then, any issues they refuse to do anything about or follow up like they state they will. Countless emails go unanswered or get the typical "oh he was out today, I will have him call you tomorrow" BS. This has gone on for weeks. I even offered to pay 1/2 of the part if they replaced it which I should not even have to do as it started less than a week of driving after taking possession. BBB and attorneys are the only way to get these people to do what they should from the very beginning. Biggest crooks around. Once again, STAY AWAY!!! Dan in service acts like he cares and will do something about it and then does not return calls, does not email paperwork like he says he will, and the owners are cheap irresponsible money-hungry crooks. Tracy Toyota is notorious for charging HIGH prices for their services. I would NOT recommend anyone to go there for their routine maintenence. We took our Corolla for service, which was 100% covered through an extended warranty, but Tracy Toyota still charged us 100% of the cost without acknowledging the extended warranty. I'm glad I didn't look at the reviews before I purchased two cars here. I purchased a car in 2016, had minor service issue which was handled immediately without charge. I did feel more pressured and uncomfortable with the sales tactics of that salesperson, but my car was worth it. Car ended up totaled and I found myself back there this month. This time I came across SAM KHUL. He is a rockstar!! Bypass everyone else and go see Sam. His demeanor is very calm and I felt the entire time as though he had my interests at the highest priority. He worked hard to get my price to exactly what I wanted. I felt as though I was just sitting talking with a friend. He was very candid with me and easy to deal with. He's a great guy. HIGHLY recommend him. SAM I give 5 stars. Ramen was super helpful also as we were signing contracts. As he became aware of the situation that brought us back, he helped me look through my insurance policy paperwork to point out some things I wasn't aware of. Had an appointment at 9 am to get my oil changed and the engine looked at since the check engine light was on. At 11:30, two and a half hours later my oil is finally changed. By 1 pm my engine still has not been looked at, so I left. I would never recommend getting service done here. read more

The staff at Tracy Toyota recently saved me from my own stupidity. I had rented an Scion iQ from Pleasanton and driven to Tracy, not realizing it was too far for a return trip on a single charge. They don't sell the full electric model at this dealership, so most of the staff did not even know what a "charging station" is, but Victoria (at the main reception desk) and Curtis (from the service dept) made clear they would stick with me until they had a solution. They found a hidden charge port onsite and gave me a free top up. I've never purchased a car from this dealership or had a repair performed there, but on this occasion, they took care of me. read more

The Tracy Toyota dealership contains slimy, VERY unprofessional, loud, and obnoxious salesmen and management team. They will do and say anything they can to sell a car. The appeal to that dealership is that Ronnie Lot owns the place and to see the slimy used car salesman mentality in action was so disheartening. I left there feeling unsure, confused, and disappointed that the salesman were NOT knowledgeable, they will justify obvious flaws and they will down right lie just to get a sale. Im waiting for my car to be serviced. Before i begin I'm going to start out by saying my review is probably because of the service advisor i got. I had an appointment but came in early to see if just maybe i could be seen without an appt. and leave early. Any who, an hour later i finally got seen and by that time i decided just to tell them i had an appt. considering it was 30m till my appt. time. I was asking her questions but it seemed she may have not really been listening to the entire question because she wasn't answering it. Ok, i considered that maybe i wasn't articulating it correctly. Whatever then. When we were outside she had asked me what i wanted done and i said an oil change. We went inside as she was processing the paperwork i asked her how long should i expect to wait and she couldn't at least give me an estimate! She said ill let them know you have an appt. it really depends how many they have. I told her I'm asking cause if its going to be a while i would like to get a ride, and she continued to repeat herself. I gave up. She finished the paperwork and let me go. Overall she was really cold, not very friendly and definitely not informative. She didn't say anything about what services I'm getting didn't confirm my name or phone number! So i look at the receipt and saw I'm getting an oil change, tire rotation and my brakes checked. I would have only requested for an oil change and would have come back another day when i had more time for the rest. I also noticed the name and numbers are to my husband who is not here! I asked another service advisor passing by to update my information and asked him if they normally verify information and of course, he said HE dose. Everywhere I've went they do so. But at that time my advisor passed by and he gave it to her. He was really polite-his name is Marcus Abadi (i will request him). She returned and handed me the paper and walked away. Later i saw Marcus again and asked him the same questions i asked her regarding the waiting time, of course Marcus was able to look into it and give me an answer. My overall experience so far is ridiculous. If it wasn't for Marcus and his help i would have given this place one star. The Tracy sales team is friendly and professional. The service department is more profit motivated vs customer success. I find that the Dublin location is especially good at problem resolution and making the service experience convenient and problem free. I was planning to sell my Camry and buy an Avalon Hybrid. However the voice recognition on the Avalon didn't work for me or the sales person on two different cars. I sold the Camry, passed on the Avalon and bought a Mercedes lease return. read more

My wife was in earlier in the week to have oil changed as far as I know all went well. There was a recall on the seat belts so she made an appointment for a Saturday to get it taken care of. The appt was at 7:30am and was told to be early because they are very busy on Saturday. Not sure why we would need to be any earlier than the appointment but okay. Well now I know why we needed to be there earlier than appointment. The cars line up for service. Some one comes by in order the car is in line. He jots some info down then tells you to take inside to a representative. Then you go inside and again wait in the order that you came in. We had some where to be an hour away and this is the reason we made a 7:30am appointment. When I finally got to the representative, I asked what the purpose of scheduling an appointment if your going to have to wait in line on a first come first service basis. Just then someone came up to the counter and said he's been waiting a while. The representative then asked "do you have an appointment" As if that was suppose to impress me. He never did answer my question and I didn't pursue it because like I said earlier I had somewhere to be and we were already going to be late and I didn't want to get involved in a lengthy conversation. I can only guess the purpose of an appointment is so they know when to cut you off in line because they are now booked. read more

Just moved to the area, and had service done here twice. Never again! An oil change, tire rotation, and a car wash. Three and a half hour wait. Then I get a call about a belt being bad, something else, and my battery needs to be replaced. Ok, but my battery is just over three years old, I take my car to sears (where I bought the battery) they test it and my battery is perfectly strong. And sears tightened my loose cable (which should have been done at toyota). All in all I spent $480 in repairs/oil change (thankfully not a new battery) and still left with a loose cable. Be aware this place tries to steal your money. The manager didn't even have an excuse. They don't test your car accurately. Also, my center counsel was obviously combed through, when there was no reason to even go in it. read more

Horrible experience with the Service Department. My wife made an appointment for service, and Rick told her it would be about 90 minutes. Based on that conversation, she decided to wait for it. She sat there for 2 1/2 hours and the car was still not ready and then contacted me. When I called Rick, he was extremely rude and dismissive. When I asked to speak with his boss, he hung up on me. I spoke to his bosses in person, George and Cynthia, who were both pleasant. But, it was a horrible experience overall and the damage was done. Rick clearly misrepresented the time it would take and simply did not care that it was inconvenient to my wife. He was a complete jerk and should not have any contact with customers. They made my wife sit for over 3 hours. I truly believe they took advantage of her because she was a female. I highly recommend you find a different place to service your car. read more

Jennifer Rego from Tracy Toyota emailed me about a car I was selling on Craigslist. She offered to buy the car if I would drive it out there from Oakland where I was. I was skeptical, I didn't want to drive an hour to find out they weren't going to give me a fair price only to have to turn around and add a total of 100 miles to a car I was trying to sell. I communicated this issue and explained every issue with the car I could think of. Jennifer not only quoted a fair price, but she always responded quickly and clearly. I didn't even know that existed any more. I drove it out there and within minutes she had the car being evaluated and then confirmed the quote was still a go. I left there in less than 30 minutes with a signed contract and transfer, and a promise the check would go out Monday. I had the check on Wednesday. Everything they said they'd do, they did, they even drove me back to the closest BART station which is all I asked for which was 30 miles away. Worst experience trying to buy a car. Sales car lady was our best friend at the beginning and once we started talking money she was rude. Dealer manager came out and basically just added more fuel to the fire. We ended leaving and going to the dealer across the street and I was actually scared to get out of the car! (Because of the awful experience I had with Toyota) The sales car lady followed us out to the parking lot and asked if we had changed our mind. Then the dealer manager walks out to the curb to try to talk numbers with us and she called us more than 10 timed and sent us a text! It has been 5 days since we went there and she called me again! As with my previous review, Tracy Toyota STILL refuses to do the Toyota Pruis safety recall. Four emails for appointments, phone calls unanswered, no return calls for an appointment. All you get is "A service rep needs to check and see if they have the parts". Wish I could give a NO STAR rating. The safety recall has to do with the Pruis possibly just stop running and it involves the master computer. The lazy butts have no time for a mandatory safety recall apparently. read more

Wish I could give this dealer a rating of zero stars. STAY AWAY! I ordered a new car from this dealer in early May. I was told it would be 6-8 weeks. After 8 weeks of not hearing anything I contacted them and they stalled around a few days before telling me it was to be built on August 1. By mid-August I asked for an update via phone and email and never received a return call. Ended up complaining to the Bay Area sales manager who promised a find out what happened and never heard from him either. Tracy Toyota is not to be trusted and the Bay Area sales manager is harming Toyota's good reputation. Just read all the other reviews and GO ELSEWHERE! read more
