I had my 2011 prius which was a knocking noise .They diagnosed it for 300 bucks then told me my 3rd cylinder is out and it would cost 3600 bucks to repair .on their paper work they put 18 hours of labor needed ,are you kidding me 18 hours to pull the head gasket off and replace the cylinder I told the service guy Billy no we do not want to get the work done .i pulled out if their lot and noticed a bunch of parts were lying in my back hatchback area. They said they thought we were going to get the work done with them and left the parts off.They took it back in the shop,put everything back ,I paid my 300 dollar diagnostic ripoff charge and left. This place has horrible service department ,tracy Honda across the street is 10x better . We go to Stockton Toyota for maintenance on our new rav 4 .We actually tried to buy from tracy toyota last October since we live in tracy ,another horrible experience ,they wouldn't come to close to the price we were looking for,Stockton Toyota did right away on our limited 2015 rav 4 xxx Ronnie Lott needs to spend a little more time observing his employees and less time hanging more 49ers pictures and memorabilia . read more

I live in San Jose and communicated with Tina over the phone before purchasing the vehicle. It was a Costco transaction. She worked with me for a few days texting back and forth, answering my questions. When I got there, she was very kind with explaining the details of the process and pricing. Robbie in financing did a great job with helping me understand the paperwork and negotiating the terms. Overall, the experience of buying my first new car was much less intimidating than I thought it would be. The only complaint I have was that I was there for four hours, however it was a holiday which is why they were so busy. Would go back again for sure. read more

I went in for a recall on my vehicle, i had made an appointment. They set me up to fix the car, all i had to do was wait for them to take in my car. I was told my car was first in line, although they kept moving cars around me who came after me. I patiently waited up to 1 hr and 30 min. Went inside to ask why i was being skipped in line and the receptionist was being rude and asked to keep waiting. It was not until a young man ,whose job was just to move the cars, came up to me, apologized, and began the paper work. He made sure i was going to be helped next by a receptionist. If you have to deal with these people, dont make the mistake i did and just wait idly by. Go inside and make sure they attend you, even though you shouldn't have to. read more

Horrible customer service. I asked Sammy beig online what's the best price he can do on a car. He responded by saying "make an offer" this is 2016 not the old days just be up front. So naturally I'm gonna make a offer on the low side since he couldn't be upfront and just say what he can do. I made an appointment for today. Round trip 1hour. Arrived on time for my appointment. No greeting. Went into service write up area. One adviser on phone 15 minutes. Don't know about the other advisor, he appeared busy. All the other employees were walking around or on break in the next room. I looked around and immediately felt that I'm not and do not want to do any business with this dealership. Bought my New Toyota at Dublin Toyota and one for my wiife as well. They greet their customers and provide the level of service I want. A little bit of advice, drive the extra fifteen miles and head to Livermoore Toyota. First off my service representative was unable to look up the extra tire warranty I paid for. I was forced to drive home and get my paperwork. When I returned I got a different service rep and he was able to look up the warranty. Then my car was there all day, no phone calls, no updates, no nothing.... definitely going to Livermoore Toyota from now on. read more

STAY AWAY!!!. Long story short, they had the only model car and color that I wanted. We agreed on a price and they promised to deliver the car to my house since I live far away. When the salesperson (Luda) could not have the car delivered as she promised, she told me to come pick up the car. This was not part of the deal and I had no time. I asked her to put a "sold" sign on the car and an exact mile count so others would not continue to test drive my car. A few hours later, I get a call from the GM (Donald Jones) who said that they can not deliver the car since it was being shown in Palo Alto for a golf tournament. This was actually great news as I live 1 mile from the golf club. However, imagine if I drove 2 hours like Luda recommended and the car ws not there. Still, they could not arrange a way for me to get the car even though it was only 1 mile away. In addition, they could not verify the mileage on the car and admitted that there could be up to 600 miles on the car despite their ad which stated 4 miles. BIG difference. To compensate for these miles, Donald Jones offered $250. I also mentioned that the car should be detailed and he said that he would do it for free if I brought the car in. REALLY?? Drive 3 hours for a free detail. I will be sending a complaint to corporate as they already took my deposit and I was to pay all cash. Worst part was trying to reason with Donald Jones who simply "does not get it". read more

I didn't become a customer for a bunch of reasons none having to do with the dealership. I just decided to wait for a while. Nevertheless, I would go back to this dealership above all the other ones in Tracy. The salesperson (Warren I think) was very pleasant and had superior product knowledge of his vehicles as compared to his competitors. Every other dealer just asked me what do you like, ie, style, etc. I wanted to know why one care was better than another and he was able to answer those types of questions. We had been shopping for a low miles, pre-owned Toyota Highlander Hybrid for a couple of months. We drove three before purchasing from Tracy Toyota. All three had about the same mileage, were certified Highlander Hybrid Ltd, had the same options, and were listed within $1000 of each other. They all had similar writeups on Cars.com - excellent condition, one owner, etc. The first one looked good, but stunk to high heaven of cigarette smoke. The second one wouldn't start when we got to the dealer because it was out of gas and the battery was dead. It also had many dings, and was really dirty with spilled sticky goo in the center console, there were no mats, and it had an add-on pinstripe job that was peeling. Before driving to Tracy from Santa Cruz, I sent an email asking about the third (and thankfully final) Highlander we wanted to drive. I asked briefly about the condition, stated what I had to pay for the car, and asked if it was worth the drive. I had a response back within just a few minutes! I spoke on the phone with a rep, Luda, and we very quickly reached a mutually agreeable price which I was very happy with. Before you go thinking that I paid too much, I should say that we did offer on one of the others that we drove and couldn't reach an agreement close to the price I paid here. I couldn't go to Tracy for a couple of days, and I'm really glad the car didn't sell before we got there. It was just as described in the ad, exactly the condition as I was told on the phone, and I was stoked to see that it also had a hitch that I hadn't noticed so I can use my bike rack. The Carfax report was excellent, serviced every 5K miles and other than one tiny scratch next to the license plate my new/used car is in perfect shape. We were in and out of Tracy Toyota in about an hour, and that was on an exceptionally busy day when they were doing a community event to raise money for ALS. The service from the time I emailed asking about the car until I drove away was friendly, efficient, professional and courteous - by far the most pleasant car buying experience we have ever had. I love my Toyota Highlander and I'm happy that buying it was such a good experience. read more

This place has been amazing. I called them on Thursday and told them I was having issues with my current BMW X3. I had had the car for 16 months and had put more money and time into that car, just had bizarre problems. So I spoke with Steve on his cell off and on all day long. He answered any questions I had, with a smile. He was extremely fair and upfront with me on everything we discussed. He helped me get approved for my lease over the phone, and even had the car delivered to my work. It was amazing. I got more on my trade in than I would have selling it. Worst service ever!!!! I come in to get a simple oil change and the guy tells me it'll take all day since they are backed up. I told him it was fine. I go inside and another guy tells me that they aren't taking anymore people. So I ask if I can schedule an appt. I come back on the day of my appt. and the guy who took my information was really rude! He said it would take about an hour to an hour and a half. Ok thinking to myself. Not bad since it's free. A hour and a half passes and it's still not done. So I go up and ask him how much longer will it be. He says they just pulled it in so about another 15-20 min. Another half hour passes. And nothing! I'd rather go to another place and pay to get a oil change and have it done in half an hour than get free one from Tracy Toyota and have to deal with the crappy service!!!!!! And my Dad told me he took the car there last time to get an oil change and he said that the engine light turned on right after he left the parking lot. Never again will I return there. read more

I would like to start off on an extremely positive note!! George in the service department was amazing to me during all the CONFUSION that happened since I purchased my 2014 scion TC at the beginning of July!! To start off I traded in my old car to Tracy Toyota and they assured me not to worry and that they would pay of my car/old loan in full, well in the mean time they didn't and I received harassing calls from my loan company saying that I owe my payment and that they were going to ruin my credit and repossess my old car from the dealer if I don't make the now LATE payment. I then proceeded to contact Tracy Toyota to figure out what happened and couldn't ever get anyone to answer the phone or return my calls so I kept calling for a few days until someone finally sent me to a department who knew nothing about my loan and he proceeded to tell me that they ALWAYS try and sell the car before paying off the old loan. Having said that, don't you think it would've been nice to inform me of that? After playing phone tag for over a week I finally got them to mail out a check 19 days after my payment was due. Then.... I had ordered fog lights on my scion when I purchased the car and was told to bring the car back when the parts came In so I waited and they emailed my dad saying that the parts are in so I called to make an appt and for a few more days I then had to keep calling to try and reach someone and kept getting sent to different people because apparently no one had my info. So finally I got an appt last Monday to bring my car from Turlock to Tracy to have them installed when I get there they still have no record of me and proceed to give me a rental Prius from 1-4 pm until my car was done and when I came back at 4pm I was told my parts don't exist yet!! Then they let me pick out a different part for my car to be installed and left my car there. I was only supposed to drive the Prius until wed or thurs but ended up having to keep it until this Monday. I just have to say that I almost wrecked that rental 4 times because I didn't know how to drive it very well. So hopefully next time they can provide me with a rental a little closer to the car I purchased. Once again the ONLY good part of this whole situation was George!! He ALWAYS answered the phone and returned my calls I made to him promptly. he kept me informed on the exact process of my car and what was happening and when it would be finished. He then drove my car from Tracy after work to Turlock to bring it to me and had it detailed and beautiful for me he is amazing in costumer service!! 5 stars to him!! read more

I've come to Tracy Toyota off and on over the last 12 years. This is the worst Toyota dealership by far in Northern California. Every time I end up waiting forever and it's always so disorganized at the vehicle drop off. An oil light reset not even an oil change has taken 2 hours, and have waited 3 hours for an oil change. I've been skipped over and waited 4.5 hours for a tire change in the past. Today I waited 6.5 hours for a tire change and brake inspection/front brake replacement. The service reps are usually nice enough, but seem overworked and underpaid. The managers/owner(s) should go to Maita Toyota in Sacramento to learn how superior service really works and just completely revamp their whole system for servicing vehicles. I don't live close to there anymore, but I guess it's worth the trip. My family has always had Toyota/Scion/Lexus vehicles, but this particular location is just terrible. Update: tried them again today and still terrible. Waited 5 hours and counting for vehicle service. Going to Modesto Toyota from now on even though it's further away. read more

Ok I bought a Toyota corolla ( used car) from toyota tracy. 2 days after the maintenance light comes on. I called them, they said ohh sorry our error we just didn't reset it properly, please bring the car in we will reset it. After that incident I have had 3 servicing done here for both my corolla and tundra. Each time after servicing the light comes on again for service and each time I am getting the same response. Hmm, this is it, a week ago I got my tundra serviced for which I paid $2600+ and now the service light is on. And same excuse, now I am even having my doubts if my vehicles are even being serviced properly. I have never had this problem when I was getting my vehicles serviced at melody toyota of san bruno. Beware of when you are taking your vehicle for repairs. This place is a rip off. I would never recommend anyone to use them at all. I took my car in for service and a repair bid was given to me for recommended repairs(which was expensive) so I got a second opinion at another reputable repair shop and was was told that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my car. Having purchased FOUR new vehicles from Tracy Toyota over the past 12 years, all with the Platinum membership (which I paid extra for) why can't I get my oil changed without a hassle and/or a long wait? Answer: because management does not want to live up to their commitments! They are looking for ways to cut costs and one way is to not honor my Platinum membership (if they can get away with it). If I ever lose that piece of plastic, my Platinum membership card, they won't honor their agreement. They say they can't keep their records straight about who has the membership. They say there are different kinds of Platinum membership. They appear unable to update their records to indicate that I have one or which one I have (since, according to them, Platinum has multiple different membership privileges). About two years ago I went through this same hassle on every one of my vehicles (there are four drivers in my family). They would not honor my Platinum memberships unless I had the plastic card. I found all my cards and they said that they updated their records, telling me not to worry, that they had it straight now. Liars! Here I am two years later getting hassled again for the plastic! They refer me to the sign in the service department saying that I must show my card. That sign was not there when I bought my vehicle(s)! My card says on the back that as a Platinum member I get: 1) Express lube every 3,750 miles 2) Tire rotation every 7,500 miles 3) 50% discount on routine service at 7,500, 15,000, 30,000 intervals 4) 20% discount on over the counter parts 5) Complimentary rental car with any 30,000 mile interval service 6) One complimentary dent repair 7) Courtesy carwash with any service I've never been offered a car wash. I've never been offered the dent removal. I was never offered the rental car when I had my transmission serviced at 75,000 miles. All I want is my oil changes and I can't get that without a hassle and having to wait for hours! They are oversubscribed in the lube department and would love for me to die and go away. It appears as if they want me to become frustrated enough as to not come back any more. If they refund even half of my membership cost I'll be happy to go somewhere else. Took my 2012 Toyota Tacoma for problem with the brakes. dropped off my truck on a Tuesday and got a rental car. Did not get any updates from Rick Moody at Tracy Toyota and then i finally call on Friday to check on it. He tells me oh i was just about to call you.. Total B.S. I picked up my truck and drove home. I was told that they replaced the brake master cylinder & sleeve booster. I drove the truck next day but there seems to be no difference in the brakes, still goes all the way to the floor and you have to pump it several times before it really works. really dangerous as you can rear end someone if you press it only once. I have no idea what they fixed on it. I don't even think that they tested if after fixing it. I am taking it to another dealer to find out exactly if they changed those two parts like they said they did. I tried to call Rick Moody back and asked him to provide me a work order detailing what was done to it. He never sent me one. I kept calling him back for almost 10 straight day leaving several voice messages but still no response or call back. I also gave him my email since he said he will email it to me. Real bad customer service by this dealership and Rick Moody. I finally had to call the GM of the dealership. Left him a voicemail and he called me back asking what the problem was. He told me he would mail me the work order . Got it a couple of days later. He wanted me to bring my truck back to him to see what the problem was. I told him absolutely not since they didn't bother to check if the problem was fixed or not. Not sense of safety at call. I am thinking of calling Toyota directly and filing a complain with them and also the better business bureau. I would never ever take my truck or car back to this shady palce nor would recommend any of my friends or family. This place sucks. I would rate them with zero stars but unfortunately it does not allow me to. What a shame.. read more

I took my car in to Tracy Toyota in June for an oil change. I spoke with my rep and asked were there any special. He said we can get you a 10,000 mile for 69.99. I was elated because that means that I would have to come back until 10,000 miles later. A few weeks past and was sitting in my car and happen to look at the oil change sticker. I was like no this can be. I am at 80,000 so that means I go back at 90,000 miles but the sticker indicated that I come back at 85,000. I pulled out the receipt to make sure I paid for a 10,000 mile oil change and the receipt clearly said 10,000 miles. I called Tracy Toyota to get some understanding of was seeing. The woman I spoke with was very professional and understanding to my frustration. She told she would have the manager of the service department give me a call which he did the next day. He asked what was the issue and how could he help. I yold him that I paid for a 10,000 mile oil change but the sticker say return in 5,000 miles. The manager told me that they always have cars return at 5,000. I asked why do you sell 10000 mile oil change if I have to bring my car back at 5000 miles. I told him per my manual it says 6000 miles and he continued to insist that 5000 was the standard. Please be careful when going for an oil and make sure they are following what your owners manual says not the policy they are using to rip people off. After researching a few dealers in Northern California, I found great reviews about Eli at Tracy Toyota. After we communicated with him via a few e-mails and phone calls, we had a feeling he'd be the one to sell us a new car. Our prediction was right. He was very polite, clear, honest, and straightforward. He cares so much about his customers. Everything went so smoothly, and we got a key within 2 hours after visiting the dealer. Best car buying experience in a long, long time. This was not an easy move for me from my previous car, (VW Beetle) but lifestyle changes and transporting 3 grandkids made it necessary. We had visited 3 dealerships the day before, not very impressed. Salesmen could not wait til we opened the car door to greet us...ugh. We decided to try Tracy Toyota to see if they had the car we were looking for. Sean greeted us so cordially, made us feel welcome...just asked what we were looking for. We were there for a Rav4. We had done our homework, knew what we wanted and he took us right over. Great inventory, but only 1 Ruby flame...not the model we wanted. We test drove a silver model to make sure we liked the feel and we did. As we walked into the showroom to talk numbers to see where we were financially, there was the Ruby Flame, just what we wanted. A deal was made, got a great trade in and lots of perks. We worked with Raman, he was fabulous!!!!! We were in and out of there is no time happy as can be. So I drove onto the Tracy Toyota lot looking at buying a Tacoma. A Sales person approached us as normal. I said I looking for a Blue Tacoma Sport 4X4 in Stick Shift (Manual). First words out of his mouth were" You need to buy it first then we can try to get it for you. I don't own the dealer ship so its not my rules" So I called around and Ken from Fremont Toyota found it for me, Transported it to his dealership, I even offered a deposit to him but he said don't worry about it. I know your serous. I went there, test drove it to make sure every thing was in order and now I'm a very happy owner of a very cool new 2017 Tacoma equipped with the exact package I wanted. A few salesman asked me if I needed help but I told them I was just looking around, generally I would get some stuck up attitude but they didn't act like the typical sales hacks. I lease a 2016 Toyota Prius 2,BUT, what I thought I was dealing for was a different model.I was told buy Johnnie that I would be very happy with my Siruis Radio and the sales lady told me that the car had a navigation system. When I, not being all that knowagble about these two systems, I took their word for this. The next morning I decided to check on my new auto and all it's accesories, come to find out, it wasn't equipped with the Sirius radio nor the navigation system.
