I own a Ford Explorer and I had to come in a couple times over the last few weeks for different reasons, once for an oil change and an issue with my driver side door electronics and the most recent one was to have my break pads replaced. Both times they got me in and out in the estimated time and the price was lower than I thought it would be. They also told me about some fluid leaks that I had due to the age of the vehicle, but that they were not major and I should keep an eye out for them. They made me feel like they were trying to help me not ding me for as much money as they can like some places I have been to. I am definitely going to keep coming back and recommend them to others. read more

Wow read your reviews for Toyota, they are so bad they make the owner look bad. I think things should be monitored there. There should not be any bad reviews,seems like its only paycheck and benefits and that is all that matters to the employees there. I sure hope Mr Lott reads this. I would love to go in there and clean crap up. I think people need to know there are not a lot of jobs out there and they need to make customer service number one. I think they need to really be honest in everything they do, they need to communicate with customers.I to have went to the dealership, looking at cars and am surprised that no one seems to care,we also gave up on service there, because us to went there for a quick oil change, that was not going to happen. One time they weren't even open when we were there until 45 min later. . I can't leave my car all day who can? Not going to believe this happened today, Even called Craig a manager and told him. I called parts today to ask if I had wireless remotes in my car, we brought a used remote. I was told to call dealer, so I asked for parts and got Stacy, well she said yes I do and the remote cost 185,00 and $135,00 to program. I told her that was stupid. Then I hung up and decided to call service, spoke with Chris was told it cost 65.00 to program, that is a big difference,told him he lost a customer due to Stacy quoting. The decided to call Stacy back and ask again what the cost was, she told me the same, then hung up and called back and ask for manager spoke with Craig , he was surprised and told him I had just read reviews about their place and I to left negative and will go back in and leave more. I told him they have alot of problems there and should take care of customer service, they need work. So there you have it. So check around. read more

I've heard before that you have to be careful when you take your vehicle into a dealership to have oil changes or things like that because they will try and push things on you that you don't necessarily need to have done right away. Well I got to experience this first-hand or I should say second hand as I waited in the truck for my wife as she went inside to drop off our vehicle Saturday morning. I've also heard that they take advantage of women at Auto repair shops also, but I thought I was safe at a big business like Tracy Toyota. They got the oil change done in about an hour, and I thought wow this is great we can turn around and go pick it up, but we were told or I should say my wife was told and I overheard him telling her that there was a nail in the tire and it was in the side wall and it was not repairable. They said this being the case you have to replace two tires otherwise they won't wear evenly so they asked her if she wanted to have them throw two new tires on it. I intervened and said no we'll take it to Costco and get the tires done there. I am so glad I did. I couldn't believe it. The gentleman at Costco looked at the tire and said this is totally repairable, it's three inches in. It cost us $10.99 to have it repaired. I mean how could that possibly be that Tracy Toyota would try and rip us off for what would have turned out to be around $500 for two tires. A place as big as Tracy Toyota with what you would think would be a stellar reputation pulling some kind of garbage like that on a woman-where is the honor and integrity? I can just imagine what they do to little old ladies that don't have anybody to back them up and look after them. I wish I didn't have to give one star but I guess you'll figures if they open up their doors they deserve one star read more

Not sure what all the negative reviews are about but I had a great experience at Tracy Toyota. We've had Toyotas in our fam. forever and have always had great interaction. I took my car in on a Monday for an oil change and filter replacement. The Wal Mart guys told us there was some major issue with the oil leaking, blah blah blah and we'd have to order some special part. We decided to hit the Toyota dealership instead, which had also just sent us a coupon for an oil change and filter replacement, tire pressure check, etc. We pulled right in, got service, and even got a complimentary car wash. Who knew? They didn't even mention the "special part" we'd have to order, according to the Wal-Mart guys. They also replaced a piece on the car that had been recalled, free of charge (obviously). The staff was friendly and professional. Next time, I'll skip the time I wasted at Wal-Mart and go straight to Tracy Toyota. read more

I had recently purchased a 2016 Chevy Cruze from Tracy Toyota and was happy with the experience overall. Earlier that day I had made in inquiry on the vehicle when I saw it online and a gentlemen that goes by the name of Sammey had called me and gave me all the info. He waited for me to get to the dealership after I got off work even though that meant he had to stay past his time that he was supposed to be off. He made the process very quick and easy. His partner Aaron Rivera, who is the finance manager there, got me a great rate without any money down and no co-signer. He even found things on my credit report that shouldn't have been there and were lowering my score and showed me how to fix it. Definitely went above and beyond service. The only thing that I would say was an issue was the car was nearly on empty and they didn't fill it before I left. Otherwise nothing but good things about this experience! read more

With my prior car, a RAV4 that I bought elsewhere, I had great experiences with the service department, so much so that I traded it in and bought a Prius. There were some minor hiccups in the purchase, but I let it go. Very disappointed in the service that I've been provided on the Prius this past year. I commute to the bay area so I drive a lot and put on the miles fast. Happy with the car, but I dread going in for servicing. Twice in the past year, the service department has totally forgotten to let me know that my car was ready after being serviced, and I was there in their lounge area. The first time, it took a couple of hours for an hour change, saw other people picking up their cars, but didn't get told mine was ready. I go up to the service desk and my bill and car keys are just laying out in the open on the counter. The service kid (who had large earrings at the time) went to lunch and didn't tell anyone to notify me. The second time was a couple of weeks ago; again it was taking 2 hours and I had an appointment; I go up to the desk, and the girl responds "it will be ready in a little bit" (I did have an appointment for this), I could tell by her face that she had forgotten about me. I stay near the counter and watch as a service kid gets my car out of the parking lot, where its been sitting, done!! I asked him, "did you just get my car from the parking lot?" and he hemmed and hawed, never answering me. My time is valuable and I really don't feel like sitting in their lounge areas all afternoon for oil changes! Makes me want to go somewhere else and probably buy my next car at another dealer if this is the way they treat their customers. I do have choices on this. In addition, someone "squashed" the review on this last service experience as they knew I was pissed and I never received it and I would have loved to fill out their automatic questionnaire. I think I am rightly upset on how they treat their customers!! read more

Landon helped me buy my new Prius C, he was awesome! I've never bought a car (driving the same car since I was 16) and he totally made me feel at ease. I was nervous about my credit, my trade in, my financing, pretty much every aspect. But Landon was the guy and made me feel comfortable with the process and then he told me my car was mine! He set up all the fancy phone and app stuff (again I'm a little behind on car amenities) and showed me how many great features are in the car! I recently moved to Tracy this month, I needed service on my 2010 Camry Hybrid. Since I still had a free service option from my original purchase, I set up service with the dealer. It did take a few tries to get through and actually schedule the appointment, but the rep on the phone was very nice and arranged my service for the following Sat morning at 7:30. I almost can celled my appointment after reading so many negative reviews, but i decided to go ahead with the appointment. I showed up at 7:30 and was promptly attended by Service rep Rick Moody. Rick was very friendly and very willing to help me out. He looked up my vehicle and quickly processed the service request. He even pointed me in the direction of the local IHOP and with his business card I got a discount on breakfast. He said the service would take around 1 1/2 - 2 hours and he would call me on my cell. One hour and 50 min later he let me know they had finished. They even took care of a nail in my tire. Great experience overall, hopefully that trend continues in the future... read more

Went there today for an oil change in their Express Lube. I drove in the Express Lube lane and asked the outside attendant about how to get an oil change. He said, I had to move my car to the other lanes (which are for appointments) to get it changed. Keep in mind that the other lane is just 3 feet away from the express oil change lane and NO other customers were around too. So, I moved my car around and went to the appointment lane. He then put a number on my car and said that a service agent will be out to help. No one coming out to help me after waiting for at least 5min...I then got out of my car and went inside where there were 4 service agents behind their desks. No one acknowledged me nor did they bother to say they will be right with me. 10min goes by and no helps. So, we asked the outside attendant when will someone help us and he just said to stay in the car and wait. Well, they have terrible customer service and there was no attempt to get a service rep outside for us. So, seeing how they didn't care to have my business, we got in the car and told the attendant that we were leaving and all he said was "OK". He didn't even try to get someone for us again. Fortunately, they changed my mind about ever going back to Tracy Toyota for any service. I will now go to either Modesto or Stockton. read more

My elderly dad had a coupon to do change oil & to check battery & he asked them to check a rear light by mistake, (thinking it was the other car which has the actual problem) . They changed the rear light that has nothing wrong with it & charged us parts & labor. Unbelievable!!!! Trying to get us one way or the other. I have been to almost all the car dealer in the bay area but this one in Tracy is by far the best Toyota or any car dealer for that matter. I highly recommend TINA CEA. On her business card it say's -We don't just promise. We deliver! - And she did just that. True to her words! And she made it very easy for me to purchase the car I want (2012 Toyota highlander) and she gave me the best deal ever that none of the other dealer would be willing to give! Now for the 2012 V6 AWD Toyota highlander. I have only been driven it for like 20 miles and I can say that it has a very quiet interior, very flexible and has a roomy second row seat. Great, if you want to be turned away because they don't have enought staff to complete an oil change. Going to Tracy Toyota is a total waist of your time. Have made 3 different attempts to have the oil changed on my vechicle and its always a 4 to 5 hour wait or they definetly turn you away because they have nine cars to service and the two mechanics are at lunch and they close at ??. My 2013 Toyota Prius developed a very scary noise while driving down the freeway near Tracy, CA in a heavy lightning/rain storm. Drove into the service department to see if I could have someone take a quick look to make sure it wasn't a dangerous situation. Wish I would have gotten the name of the person who my husband spoke to because they said they were too busy to take a look and dissuaded us from waiting. I'll take my car elsewhere. I understand busy but not sure why any business would turn away money and a potential future consumer. read more

Have to rant a little about the service after my purchase. I took the truck in for a service. The salesman told me the truck was still under the original warranty when I purchased truck.. When I went with the service writer, She informed me that the warranty expired two days before I purchased the truck. So the salesman lied. When she recommended to talk to the salesman, I found out the sales man quit. Per the purchase agreement, I could re finance with my credit union if it is in allotted time frame. I refinanced the vehicle with my credit union the next day after the purchase.. Toyota's credit union still sent me statements that They were in charge of the loan. I called their credit union and they said to talk to Tracy Toyota. Nobody would return my calls at the dealership. I went over there and explained the issue. Another finance person told me not to worry about it that it will be taken care of. After almost a month I was still getting statements from Toyota's credit union stating they are still the holders of the loan. I called their credit union again and they said again talk to Tracy Toyota. Went back again and finally they called the credit union to solve the issue after 1 month of having the truck. Great product but I don't think I will do business there anymore. The lack of customer service and the lie is what did it. I just bought a 2014 used Tacoma from Chris Gipson. I saw the truck online last week and called him. I was impressed with Chris alot because when I inquired about the truck, He did not go ask someone or look in a book. He went out in the lot to physically see and touch the truck to verify that one, it was still available for sale and two, sent me pictures to confirm we were talking about the same truck. Chris totally worked with me and my schedule even on his day off to see the truck. Chris answered and explained everything in a calm courteous matter.There was no need to haggle on the price because the price was fair and competitive with the other Toyota dealerships. Robbie in finance was a pleasure to do business with as well. Robbie took the time to explain everything and answer any questions.Both employees were very professional ,courteous, and there was no pressure whatsoever. read more

This Toyota dealership is sensational!!! I've spent the past 3 months checking reviews and various dealership in the Bay Area (I live in Pittsburg, CA), in the hopes of finding the 2016 Prius I wanted, at the price I wanted to pay. I wish that I hadn't wasted my time and energy with other dealers. Sam (the Internet Manager), Landon (Sales Consultant), and Aaron (Finance Manager) where cordial, professional, and extremely easy to communicate with. Their style of dialogue was sincere and clear. Never in my life have I felt so trusting of sales personnel when dealing with the purchase of a vehicle. I could have closed my eyes and given them a signed check; felt confident it would be written for the right amount. Their initial offer was lower by $1000.00 of any other dealership I had contact with. Additionally, the original amount was reduced by another $300.00 (unsolicited) because of my being a Costco Member. They didn't have to mention that particular item, BUT THEY DID! No other dealership even mention that fact. The minute I entered their dealership, I felt the warmth of family and friendless of close companions. Without hesitation I will return there should I want any vehicle; without a doubt I will refer them to anyone seeking a vehicle and especially if it's a Toyota. I can't speak highly enough of these folks, as well as my experience there. It happens that former 49'er great Ronnie Lott owns this dealership. He was part of a dynasty and world class football operation, he's duplicate that system with his dealership. Ronnie, if you read this don't let the folks I mentioned above leave your organization. Buyer Beware dealing with this car dealer. This place jerked us around and completely wasted our time. We had agreement on final price for used car. This was confirmed by the salesperson that it included sales tax (about $700). We confirmed this back with him several times. We had one final point to resolve related to tire pressure light that was active on dashboard. Salesperson re-assured us that they would be able to take care of this and was trying to confirm with service group. We left for lunch with plans to return and discuss. Returned to dealer and tried to offer $100 reduction on price with light indication as is. Salesperson goes to "Manager" to confirm - this "Manager" comes back and tried to increase price by $250. We refuse and go to leave. Guy comes out to parking lot and tells us they'll go with original price. We start back into the dealer office and then this guy comes back and says this price did not include sales tax. A complete reversal and flat out lie from what we had agreed to originally. I've been to a lot of car dealers with mixed results, but this was the worst runaround I have ever experienced. read more
