I love this Trader Joes location! It is one of the few grocery stores that I will visit on a Saturday and have a pleasant experience. The parking lot isn't a hellish experience and the checkout lines go fast because they have almost all cashier stations open. They have a great selection of everything here, breads, fruits, vegetables, cheese, dairy, frozen foods, chips, nuts, canned goods, vitamins, pet food, wine and beer! I love the "new items" section at the back of the store because if I miss a new item while walking the floor, I can stop by here and quickly see it. I also love that they sell beers in singles now so that if I see something that my Husband might like, I can just buy one for him to try instead of a whole six pack. They have great prices on cat food and dog treats here too. I buy all my cats food here and my dogs treats because she loves their jerky treats! The only complaints I have is that I have found a few items in the store that are not all natural. That have artificial flavors or preservatives so sometimes I have to read the ingredients to make sure. Also a lot of the times in the middle of the day on a busy Saturday or Sunday they will have employees with big carts out stocking the shelves and so it's hard sometimes to work around them and all the people shopping. Maybe this should be saved for the weekdays or early morning/late night? I do make this store a regular stop when I am doing my grocery shopping because I love all their food and they are always getting new stuff in that keeps me interested! read more

Lots of good stuff! I like this store. Trader Joe's always has some good items. They have healthy to really not healthy items so there are plenty of options. They have items you just don't see often are don't think of until you see them here. Great wine and beer selection. The Employees are helpful and seem to enjoy their jobs. A bit on the small side which makes getting down aisles a bit tricky on occasion depending on the crowd and the checkout is a choke point but it works. They do a good job with the space they have. Parking is a bit crazy here. The lot is just not user friendly. Worth a visit when you want something a little different. read more

Went to Trader Joe's today and was stopped by an employee who told me that they were closed. I said oh dang it I came all the way down here from Auburn. He looked at me and with a stern voice said, " I don't care." I didn't ask him to stay open I was just expressing myself how much effort I came in just to shop at Trader Joe's. Always a 5 star experience. Love this place. You always can get help and it seems that they care another actually giving you info. Ask to try something and you will be warmly helped to taste it! I was just reviewing Whole Foods and was thinking, "why would I give a grocery store 5 stars?" Oh yeah, Trader Joe's! Duh. TJ's is objectively the best grocery store in the universe. Ok maybe not, but it's hard to beat. The selection here is great, and the prices are so reasonable. Good selection of beverages, including alcohol. You can be classy and pay through the roof, or go with 2 buck chuck. They have a great selection of both fresh and frozen foods. I just wish it was a little closer to me! read more

The other time I had been to this TJ's was a great experience. This time was different... They were letting way too many people in so the aisles were blocked because some people decided standing in the middle of the aisle was a great idea. I couldn't pass them with out pretty much touching them so I had a less than enjoyable shopping experience. When it came time to checkout, the lines were not long at all. Though, my cashier started coughing all over my groceries and not a light cough a heavy mucous filled type of cough...I am super cautious about getting COVID so this made me really nervous even though she was wearing a mask. I hope she didn't have COVID but TJ's should be more concerned about their employees and customer's health. read more

I wouldn't at home much if it wasn't for TJ's! They have all the quick grabs you need for a fast meal or fancy meal. It's easy to find sides or main dishes in the refrigerated section and for its smaller size compared to a large groceries store it carries everything. They also carry specialty items and the best thing about traders are their seasonal products! This TJ's in Roseville in particular got 4 stars only because they are not very Wells stocked in the grab and go food area which is my automatic go to :( read more

I really wish there was a Trader Joe's closer to where I live. This is a great little store with an assortment of unique items that can only be found here. They have a really yummy columbian roast that my parents absolutely love...and speciality gourmet cheeses like blueberry goat cheese which sounds insane, but so freaking delicious. The clerk went out of her way to locate the item, but found that they were completely out! I just wanted to say thank you for the continued hospitality from this location. I've been shopping here for years. I picked up ingredients today to make my mom lunch and dinner. While there Jane asked me how my day was and what were my plans for the rest of the day, I told her this morning my great grandma became an angel so I was heading home to spend time with my family and make food for my mother. Jane and Mark immediately picked out a bouquet for my mother and sent me off with best wishes and Jane hugged me. It really was an amazing act of kindness. I'm tearing up even writing this. I have not been to Traders since Covid. My husband went there the other day and brought home some lavender roses for me , nice thiught. The roses did not look very fresh. Traders used to be a good place to buy pretty flowers at a decent price. The roses were limping over the next day . A complete waste of money. Not a good place for flowers , not sure who their supplier is but they are not good. I know how to cut and display, use to work at a florist. Too bad. read more

I love shopping here each week. I look forward to my meals when I do. It takes far less effort to cook and prepare meals when I shop here, and there are far less fights with my partner too! Great selection of snacks and booze too; this is the place I go when I need to entertain! Also, everyone is so nice. I'm 7 months pregnant and have been clearly showing for months-- this is the first place anyone has asked me about it. It felt good to be acknowledged-- no other places I go in this area does that. The customers are kinder in the parking lot too!! Every other shopping complex, no one waits for me to cross, holds the door for me, or offers any assistance at all! But here people are patient that it takes a little more time for me to do things with this extra weight and I really appreciate it. read more

I stopped by Trader Joes this morning when I noticed there was not a line as I had seen in the past months. While I was walking in on Saturday around 8 am I mentioned to the employee outside the door that this is the first time I had been here in a year! He said welcome back and gave me a bouquet of flowers!!! I was so surprised! This made me feel so happy plus shopping at Trader Joes again! Is this Trader Joe's real!? Seriously, I came in on one of my hardest days, and a gent asked, how my day was?....and "said some days are hard lately." I didn't say much but agreed, and respected his honesty and depth to connect on a genuine real, and as he and I spoke shortly about hard times as I zipped my sorrows back, I finally said, "yes, it is," I feel for him and others experiences. "I just lost my dad yesterday," I told him. The last two years striving more as a young one losing my best friend; he acknowledged and changed the story, and as I cashed out, and left on my way, he said, "here you go..." (handing me a bouquet of flowers)... "those aren't mine..." as I bought some flowers for family as we're all going through this. He said, no they are for you. I broke down through and tears of appreciation and gratitude spilled out. This isn't normal, the genuine sensitivity in a grocery store, or is it I'm thinking?! I'm just leaving today a few weeks later - present in the surrounding area I heard two cashiers talking, "best friends" it appears; inviting one another to kids camps and social events... I walked out the door, and another pair of associates, says to one another, "when will I see you next?... oh, I'll be at work next week....oh I'll miss you in their response..." Seriously, the intention at this Trader Joe's is real as ever! It's not just about the great prices, unique items, but the community, love, and connection to bring more than fresh groceries rather a fresh perspective and heart. The only complaint I have here, other than the typical sometimes out of favorite items, which is normal in this day and age - is there's not a closer store to Auburn or Colfax area! I recently was at the Roseville Trader Joe's and while shopping noticed A product that I hadn't bought in a while. It was the Belgian chocolate pudding which is kept in the dairy section over by the sour cream. Now I am a freak for a good chocolate pudding. The last time I had Trader Joe's chocolate putting it was good, smooth and rich, but something was missing. My last visit a couple of days ago I was picking up some half-and-half and My Eyeballs fell upon the chocolate putting which from this point forward we will refer to as CP. I thought for a few minutes and said to my self " why not pick some up. I got home later with my score and at dessert time proceeded to scoop some out into a bowl. As I took my first taste a stupid grin suffused my face. It was a miracle! Instead of a smooth characterless dark brown blob, This was now the food of the gods. The CP was now a thing to sing about. The smoothness had been replaced by a bit of grittiness which was the real Belgian chocolate which had been added thus changing the entire nature of the dish. Now to the smooth chocolate taste had been added a dark devilish note with the fine grit of high quality Belgian chocolate. If you are a CP fiend as am I then trader Joe's has done it again taking a good product and blasting it off into the stratosphere. We lovers of all things chocolate salute you. This is by far the unfriendliest TJ I have ever been to . I moved to the area from bay area. I still live 30 minute to this store one direction I loved all trader joes in bay area. The staff at this store are always rude and unfriendly. I wish there was another trader joes I could go to . So far I bought 3 different breads and when I get home there is mold on them but who can drive 1 hour round trip to return them. I wish management make some changes at this store. read more

This is ridiculous. Came to Trader Joe's at 8:40a with my two year old and they wouldn't let me in because senior hour. I didn't know and still wouldn't let me in. Can't really say I seen a market advertising asparagus advertised by 12oz. 3/4 pound......instead of by a 16oz (pound) at $3.50 something a 3/4 pound is not cheap...... We shop at this tj's a lot. It's almost always quite busy. They are always fully staffed with plenty of cashiers. They are constantly stocking so it's rare to not find what you are looking for on the shelf. The new items and holiday items get destroyed here almost instantaneously. If you see something new or seasonal you better get it because the likelihood of seeing it again is not high. People tend to think tj's is super expensive, it's really not. The quality for the price is very worth it. Yes you can easily blow $100 on a cart full of delicious stuff (we've done it many times) but you can't find this stuff elsewhere. Their candy and snack selection is far beyond evil. But at least it's not filled with garbage ingredients. Some of the things we're hooked on: The gobbler wrap. Basically thanksgiving in a tortilla. Their oatmeal. All the flavors are great. I really wish they would bring back the delicious ginger oatmeal though! All the Indian food. For frozen stuff it's great. The salads. We could live off these (we actually did for a while) They have too many good ones to list. Yeah they aren't cheap but the quality is high and the flavors are varied and plentiful. The yogurt. So many yummy choices. The drinks. From sparkling blood orange soda to the lime bubble water to the plethora of other tasty beverages that you can't find anywhere else. Good beer and liquor selection too. Their sauces. So many great ones. Sriracha BBQ, hot & sweet mustard, their delicious ketchup (I don't even like regular ketchup) etc. I'll stop :) (Bonus: The Grocery Outlet across the parking lot has a lot of great values on good stuff. This Trader Joe's has literally lost all respect from me. I spend over a thousand a month here and I will never step foot here again. They have a caper team and I have watched some of them just absolutely Berate customers including my 2 year or toddler for asking for a cookie after a staff member offered him one. The response was that she doesn't do that at this store because she's too busy for customers like us. Last week I watched them completely bully, follow, and shame a woman with a medical condition for not wearing a mask. I followed behind them watching this man just follow her through the entire store like she was a disease. She was in tears while leaving and so was I. I talked to management and they assured me this isn't how it should have been handled. It was inappropriate and wouldn't continue. So This week I went in to shop giving them the benefit of the doubt. I have panic attacks so I respectfully wore a mask but it it a lighter fabric so I can still breathe. I was verbally attacked by the staff, I was shamed, I was followed and had the staff harassing me the entire time I was there. I asked numerous times to be left at peace and was told no. The things that were said to me were completely unacceptable and again I left in tears. These are just a couple things. This store is horrific. I shop at tjs for their morals and acceptance of all. This store does not stand up to the Trader Joe's ethics. I highly suggest the fair oaks store. They are a far better team and have never let me down. Shame on management here. read more

The Roseville location of Trader Joe's is still convenient even for us urban dwellers. This market is located right next to Interstate 80 and Douglas with easy on-off access to the freeway. Parking is pretty cramped, but fortunately more plentiful than the Folsom Blvd location. This store is very large with an open feel, but it quickly becomes crowded with all of Placer County visiting their lone outpost. They have all the usual Trader Joe's items, plus the specialty selection of liquor. You can drive here from the Galleria without using the freeway to save time on your Roseville shopping trip too. read more

We've had mixed experiences at the Roseville Trader Joe's...but over all our experiences have been positive. One continuing complaint is that the Clerk and Baggers chit chat amongst themselves while serving the customer. Several times I've had to interrupt their conversation to ask a question about what the clerk was ringing up. Perhaps the clerk and bagger because of the repetition of their jobs try to break the boredom by entertaining each other with their latest escapades, personal opinions, etc..but it's rude to ignore us. Really the reason they even have a job is because of the customer on the OTHER side of the counter. When we go to Trader Joe's we really want to be in and out...not stuck in line watching the entertainment of "Clerk & Bagger'. read more

My review is based solely on my Customer service experience I had today, l12/27/22, at checkout. With the cashier named Jen. I love Trader Joe's so I hate to write a negative review but my whole shopping experience was ruined by Jen. First of all she didn't greet me at all, I was attempting to purchase a bottle of the cookie butter liquor, she says "I need to see your id, I state I forgot my wallet and asked my husband to show his id, she aggressively says "No, I was asking for your id!, actually I think I'm going to need to see both of your ids." Then proceeds to say it's the law. I have no problem that she denied the sale but my issue is that I shop at this store at least 3 times a month and have boughten alcohol on many occasions almost never being carded and on one occasion I was carded my husband showed his id and that was sufficient. So why was it not ok today? If people are going to be carded at least be consistent and not pick and choose just because you're having a bad day. She was completely rude and should not be working in customer service if that's how she's going to speak to customers. Two stars is being generous after the way she treated my husband and I. read more

Don't go on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Too many senior citizens that walk slow and too many families with more then 2.3 children. Other then that they just remodeled so it's a little bigger and the aisles are a little wider. Pros: Right off of the 80 Cons: Roseville's only Trader Joe's so it's crowded at prime shopping times. Expect cramped, congested aisles. This location is always busy. Unlike other Yelpers, I have never had a problem with the service. It is easy to gravitate towards the low prices for seemingly healthy, organic foods. But most of this savings is from the private label items on the shelves (80% of TJ items are their own private label). I understand this is why the products can be priced so low, but Trader Joes does not list the origin or their products. Conscientious consumers should avoid the TJ brand, since TJ is unwilling to disclose product origin. For example, Trader Joes refused to participate in the Cornicopia Institute's organic milk study. For me, the organic label is meaningless if I don't know where the product is from. I won't purchase organic items from China or the mass produced, domestic corporations like Horizon and other Dean subsidies. People that shop at Trader Joes because they think it is a more affordable version of Whole Foods are sorely mistaken. I will say that TJ has locked in the best price for Mendocino's Eye of the Hawk beer (my favorite!). I occasionally go to TJ's for this beer and the few other items that I commonly use that are not the TJ brand. read more

If you are concerned about protecting yourself & family from COVID-19, do NOT shop here! They now have a policy that, if you want to use your own shopping bags, YOU have to place them in your own bag. That means you have to handle your items right after the checker and bagger did. The science has been clear on this: the virus lives on surfaces for at least 2 hours. So, this policy now forces you to BUY their bags and puts your health at risk if you use your own! Shame on you, TJ's! You have been very slow to adopt healthy practices like Senior hours & limiting the numbers of patrons in your tight, small stores. You still do NOT offer Curbside Pick-up or any other options for people to shop at your stores without taking health risks. I will not be returning to a TJ's to shop! read more
