This feels like a smaller size Trader Joe's location in terms of physical space size and selection, but it does the job and has enough of a diverse range of everything to serve as a good place to shop. Parking next to the store can be challenging, but parking in the area isn't difficult since it is in a large outdoor shopping complex, but shares the space with the UFC Gym, Sears Outlet, Ross, Marshall's, Orchard Supply Hardware, Wal-Mart's grocery store, Togo's, Penguin's Yogurt, In N Out Burger, Baby's R Us, and other businesses. So, if you're willing to walk, you'll always be able to find parking. This is an A-OK location and Trader Joes is a solid grocery store, leaning more towards the healthier side of selections too, all while being cost effective (so, not like Bristol Farms or Whole Foods where the prices are a tad higher) read more

This is my go to Trader Joe's! I'm lucky my job is flexible and I try to go on weekday mornings when it's not too crowded. I've found that even weekday lunch is still pretty busy and definitely weekend afternoons. This can affect the parking which is why I usually plan around it. I try not to buy too much frozen food BUT they have a great selection to keep just for emergencies! - cauliflower crust pizza - samosa chaat - vegetable panang curry - SUPER BURRITOS (not frozen) I love the Gluten Free bread here and Sriracha chips. Mini avocados are not too expensive and they have a quite a few options for gluten free or vegan snacks. Employees are always so nice and I enjoy chatting with them during check out. I totally get that we're all here to do our grocery shopping and it's probably not our favorite thing (ok I actually like it haha) but sometimes the other shoppers are not super friendly or considerate which can be disappointing. Trader Joe's is a staple in Los Angeles. They have products you simply can't find in a Ralph's or Vons. Some of the products like the frozen Pizza are Imported from Italy. I'm a Pizza Snob and some of their frozen pizzas are very good. Their produce is decent. I do prefer Sprouts produce but it's acceptable. I do like their frozen foods and alcohol. Some really good imported beers on hand. Trader Joe's covers most of my needs except paper goods, which I think are weak. The staff is always super friendly and accommodating. I can't imagine not having a Trader Joe's in my neighborhood. It's just that good! read more

Trader Joe's, the place where the pretty people of the area shop. :-) Trader Joe's is a place you can get all of your grocery shopping, wine drinking, and fresh flower needs. It is one of those one stop shops where you can take care of everything at one location. Every Trader Joe's pretty much offers the same items. The difference between the various stores is really defined by their location and their interior atmosphere. Thus Trader Joe's has been around for a long time. This being said, it is one of the nicest locations in the South Bay. They have always kept the store modern, up-to-date, nicely organized, and very clean. As is the case with all Trader Joe's, the staff at this location is very nice, friendly, smiley, and helpful. So, you should never have a problem when you were shopping here. If there is one negative to the store, that is it's parking lot. This Trader Joe's is located in a massive outdoor shopping complex. There are numerous stores that inhabit this location. What this causes is a traffic gridlock more frequently than not. So, the one suggestion I would say is have a little patience if you plan to drive into this parking lot. Overall, great store where you can get all of the items that Trader Joe's is known for. read more

COUNT YOUR CHANGE BEFORE YOU LEAVE! Some of these brain-dead cashiers are in such a rush to ring up your items then tend to ring up multiples of the same item in ONE push. THAT'S WHERE THEY GET YOU. Two bags of the same items rung up at the same time become three on the receipt. One nonexistent item that YOU pay for, and three become four, etc. Thankfully the manager fixed that bozo's error. This has happened more than once. How many slipped through without my noticing? I don't know. My new rule is for these idiots to ring up my items one at a time and stop showing off and cutting corners when it amounts to nothing more than theft! read more

Two times now I've had clerks who are rude. Quality of food is always stellar, this is to the two clerks who made me hate my experience there. First time I checked out and inserted my credit card chip at the time to pay. The reader didn't work and so I pulled out the credit card when the keypad said to do so, and when I asked the clerk if I needed to do that again, he very pretentiously says "what does it say on there. Read it." I was taken aback by how rude that was. Totally unnecessary but I thought maybe he's having a bad morning... and let it slide. Then just today I went in again and the clerk was awful! First off he did not smile once, in fact it just seemed pissed off being there, mumbling words. Then as he was checking out the avocados I didn't even realize I put an organic one into the bag with two regular ones - my fault for just blindly feeling the produce and picking the ones I wanted, but maybe Trader Joe's should separate those out more, to avoid just that. When I told him I didn't even realize, and just charge me whatever the right price is for each, he gave me a look like I was putting him out and/or he thought I was trying to sneak an organic avocado in - yes that's exactly right, after my $50 bill, I was REALLY looking to save thirty cents on one organic avocado. He then got to the one pummelo I was buying. I had never heard of it, so I wanted to try it and even took a picture of the sign so I would remember what it was. He didn't know the price on it so I said, "oh sir, I actually took a picture of the sign." He completely ignored me and yelled to the manager for a price check. When he turned around again, I showed him my phone and said "sir, I took a picture of the sign with the price." And he goes "great, thanks," but then still leaves the pummelo out to wait for his manager to run over to the stand to confirm the price for him. I usually enjoy this Trader Joe's, but twice in two weeks... I'll find another TJ nearby. read more

As busy as they could be stocking their shelves with chocolate baton waffles, they will stop what they are doing to walk you to the product you are looking for! One trip I wanted a particular box size and strength to pack my omiyage in. The manager emptied two unopened boxes of water into an empty cart to give me the boxes. Nothing but the best customer service! That is the main reason I keep coming back to Trader Joe's! I love this place. Trader Joe's has all the great healthy foods they just came out with the new impossible chicken nuggets which I really love for me and my family thank you guys so much for that. Trader Joe's has a very hard time honoring prices when they make mistakes. I love coming to TJ's but this experience was a very upsetting one. This review is for "Lauren." I shopped the store as normal and picked up grapes that were in front of a sign that said $2.49 (mind you, there was an entire row of the same grapes in front of that sign). At check out, I bag my own groceries as always, simply because I like to be helpful. Lauren thanks me and continues to process my order. I then noticed that the grapes rang at $4.49. I tell Lauren that I saw the grapes in front of a sign that said $2.49. She then proceeds to investigate. I watch her and see that she moves a sign over to the right. She then brings different types of grapes to the register and explains to me that the champagne grapes are $2.49 and not the table grapes. I respectfully ask if they honor when they make a mistake. Clearly, the team member in charge of produce did not catch that the sign was misplaced. She then aggressively tells me that they did not make a mistake whatsoever and they were placed in the correct spot. I tell her that they were not and that she moved the sign over of which she says she didn't move any sign. I don't have time to argue so I try to tell her I don't want them. However, I cannot get a word in because she gives me so much sarcasm and fake happiness. I have worked in retail for many years and know fake happiness when I see it simply because I have given it many times to ugly customers. However, I was a calm and respectful customer who was never rude to Lauren. I'm not sure if she was having a bad evening or a bad shift, but her attitude towards me was completely uncalled for. She ended up honoring the price I saw. And then continued to give me the silly fake happiness. I had enough at that point and gave it right back at her. Lauren... learn to be more patient and don't jump so quickly into being a b*tch to customers who don't deserve to be treated that way. Save that attitude for the customers that actually deserve it. read more

Do not buy avocados at Trader Joes. Over the last few weeks bought several avocados at Trader Joes and for some reason, they ripen unevenly. Mushy on one side and raw on the other which makes them useless. Check out the article online, don't buy produce at Trader Joes. A lot of good things but not Avocados. Trader Joe's is more affordable than Wholefoods. They have a lot or organic items at great prices. Although Wholefoods have much more options and thingd you would not find at Trader's like grass fed organic beeg liver. If you are on a tight budget you can find dome great finds here, like borganic heavy cream for your keto coffee, grass fed plain whole yogurt, great for probiotics, and 100% grass fed ground beef and lamb. This store is iffy. I used to rave about the plants and flowers. I bought an orchid from the West LA store for $8.99 and I still have it. On it's 3rd year of blooms. I got a xmas wreath in December and I sprayed it every day. It was still great in February! But I got an Easter Lily and the bud didn't bloom, the full flower died the next day and the blossom half way never opened. Only the leaves are healthy . I don't buy produce here because they don't last at all and the ines that are packaged are really bad because you can't see the fruit (stay away from the fruit for sure) or vegetables and they are rotten. There was one associate there that noticed the mold when checking me out and got me a nee one. On the whole, nothing lasts. The meat is okay but every time I find something that's good (like the fresh wild Scottish salmon, it's discontinued. Same with the frozen Argentina Red Shrimp with flavor packets. I do get the rack of lamb and their fresh frozen mahi and cod is decent. Another seasonal thing is those flavored mini ice cream cones. They always have chocolate and vanilla and most of the time chocolate chip but coffee is there a week, same with other flavors. And, different locations don't have the same things. The pre-package meals are hit and miss. Some can be pretty good if you jazz them up a bit like adding more lemon to the Chicken Piccata. The salads would be okay if the dressing is better. Add lemon and a touch if soy sauce. TJs is a market I go to for certain things and would like it if I could get everything there. Also, the employees are usually super nice. After Covid, it's changed a bit but for the most part, most of them are great! read more

I've been coming to this location and I've always had a good experience however this time was different. I asked the lady by the produce section if they had more organic celery since there was only one left and the last one looked real skinny. She said no but she offered to take the last one for free. I said thank you and took it. When I told the cashier girl about it she looked all suspicious and said "who said that?we don't give out food for free we donate" I just didn't want to argue over a bag of celery so I said I didn't want it. But she said "it's ok I believe you" with an attitude. First of all I didn't even want it but the lady offered! Today's experience just a left really bad taste in my mouth. Why would I lie? Produce is fresh, bins are clean, and registers are staffed, making wait time short, or none. Staff is friendly regardless of which Trader Joe's I happen to be in. Their brand chips are cheaper and often time healthier than other brands, often 40% reduced fat. They carry a wide range of select wines and the foods that blend with your selection. I am new to California, but over the past 5 years I have become a regular shopper. I do recommend their reduced sugar strawberry preserves. read more

I've always loved TJ's for fresh produce, affordable price and diligent staff. This morning around 8:30a, all staff were busy stacking. I was looking for special salsa and shelf was empty. I asked one lady who was busy stacking and she said she will check back because truck arrived at 7:30. I look around the store and I couldn't find her and shelf was still empty. Taking a cue from Anna M, i finally ventured out to TJs to get ingredients for a fancy salad to make at home! Remembering the salad i loved at Luna Park, i tried to recreate one. I found all the ingredients i needed at TJs! I had to sub out some stuff, but it was generally a similar idea, minus the pears. Baby Spinach, Candied Pecans, Cranberries, Feta Cheese and Raspberry Vinaigrette! I wasn't too crazy about the dressing, and the feta was a bit too salty, but overall, it was a much improvement from the iceberg salads i can easily just throw in a bowl. Trader Joes is def a fun place to shop and get inspired put together something rather than microwave. They also have an awesome collection of sweet treats and frozen desserts! i can eat a whole bag of those candied pecans. yum! yes Travis, i actually made an effort to "make" something! read more

I don't really like writing reviews about grocery stores.....but this Trader Joe's is the BEST. Their shopping aisles are HUGE. There are ample space to walk, think and just stare at the shelves to look for items. You will not be stuck behind some woman with her cart blocking the entire aisle. I guess I will never understand why 99% of all Trader Joe's aisles are so tight considering the amount of traffic they get at each store. You can obviously tell what my pet peeve is. Another plus with this location is there is plenty of parking. Large aisles with plenty of parking makes this Trader Joe's the most stress free grocery shopping experience for the highly busy individual. **HIGHLY RECOMMENDED** read more

If you are looking for, yet, another great Trader Joe's -- here ya go. Large, well-stocked inventory, and cashiers all open at each station for a pretty great shopping experience! It's a busy store, and along with that, an ultra busy parking lot. Beware of lots of cars backing out, coming in, carts flying, and people walking while talking. Once you finally park and come in, you'll have that "I've won" feeling. Service is particularly a stand-out. There's always several people restocking the shelves, and thus, always available to help find something or answer questions. I always have a good experience when I come to Trader Joe's. The employees are all very friendly and help me whenever I need to find something. The fruits and veggies are very fresh and the frozen section has hundreds of great lunch and dinner possibilities! My dad gets the orange chicken or the mini tacos and taquitos - they're his favorite. I always find myself browsing the sweet and salty snacks. Also, the selection of flowers and plants always surprises me. The orchids are beautiful and its one of the only places I get them from for my grandma - she loves them. I've been coming to this location for years. The store is always well stocked, clean, and the employees are very friendly. This location, like all other Trader Joe's locations, can get quite busy. But they keep the lines moving. I came in today to get their frozen Turkey Burgers (delicious) and to try their Pancake Bread, which is kind of like a streusel/coffee cake kind of thing. First off.. no matter what time I try to go to this place, it is always packed. I tried to visit on a weekday afternoon once and I wasn't even able to find parking! This time I finally made it in and it was 11am on a Tuesday and it was still pretty packed, in the store and in the parking lot! Why is it so busy? The shelves are all stocked, the store is clean. You can get some samples of things like TJ coffee in the back. I was happy with the mini orchid selections they had in the front, I almost bought one, as well as the flower arrangements. I feel like they have more of a selection of fresh flowers than other TJs I have visited. It was a bit difficult to maneuver through the crowds, but I managed to find the dark chocolate espresso beans and some bottled cherries to make my own Black Forest blended mocha drinks. I would have purchased more items and some fresh produce but there were too many people. TJs needs a bigger store and a bigger parking lot.. but how can I complain when it just means it is that popular? The girl working the checkout stand was quick, friendly and efficient. I'm disappointed in a worker named Scott who checked out my groceries. Didn't greet or acknowledge me just started ringing up my haul, not very personable. I bagged my own groceries and again not one peep, like if he was ignoring me, and trying to avoid me. When I payed finally when he handed me my receipt he said," have a good one". By that point I was upset grabbed my receipt and didn't even look at him. Then with the lady after me he was all super pleasant/talkative and greeted her with, "Hello how are you doing today"? I'm really hoping it wasn't because of my ethnicity that he was being cold. Smh read more

This is my go-to Trader Joe's! The one on Manhattan Beach Blvd is pretty much the same distance away from where I live, but I prefer this location since it's in the same plaza as Marshall's and Homegoods, and I like stopping by those places before doing my grocery shopping. Also, this location has tons of parking since there are many places in this plaza. The parking area immediately next to Trader Joe's takes a bit of getting used to, since there's a little way one area, but I've never had a problem finding a spot, and even if you can't find a spot right next to TJ's, there's definitely parking in the vicinity. I love LOVE love Trader Joe's. I usually come here every week or every couple weeks. I can go on and on about all my favorites here, but that'd just be way too much to write. I love that their produce is packaged and cleaned and pretty much ready to be eaten/cooked. I like their kale for smoothies as well as their prepackaged salads. I do feel that their meat selection is limited and on the pricy side, and prefer Sprouts for meats. I do love their frozen foods, which always taste of high quality and are delicious. They have an amazing wine collection here as well. And pretty flowers. So much to buy here! read more
