Immediately upon arrival, we knew this was going to be an OUTSTANDING evening and we were correct! The restaurant in itself is small yet they make it work. Tables are a decent size and their booths along the wall are attractive and add more to your intimate dining. Service, ambiance, decor, quality of every dish and the presentation was beyond perfect. Drinks were brilliant and of course ordering a Grey Goose Cosmo and a Bullet Manhattan. We ordered their filet mignon carpaccio with roasted capers, arugula and perfectly shaven parmesan. The carpaccio was delicate with a delicious taste, a good choice. Then we ordered their Tripe Mariana made with potato, this dish my mom would make and always so good. Now, however, this Tripe was so much better!!!!! A customer, who lives locally, ordered this amazing dish with spaghetti, shrimps, pancetta, onions all cooked in aluminum foil and baked in cognac and cream. I do not like either cream nor cognac but this was IMPRESSIVE so we ordered 2. Make mo mistake that this was a dish that took us to Heaven and back!! OUTRAGEOUSLY dangerously delicious. I've been coming here for over 8 years with my family and I can't get enough of it every time! I absolutely LOVE every dish. I don't think I've ever had one bad thing. The ambiance is dark and dim with the right kind of music. It gets loud later in the evening on the weekends so if you are looking for a quiet dinner, I would suggest an earlier dinner. The staff is more than accommodating and attentive to everything. They even provide us with a purse hanger at the end of the table. It's the little details at this place that makes you feel 5 star. Service at this restaurant was super friendly and efficient, it was excellent. Food less than mediocre. For pasta dishes that start at $28 it was not that great. The sauces were dull but the pappardelle was cooked well and we also had calamari which was excellent and arancini which were ginormous and tasted good. This place was a so-so for me. I'm not saying it's terrible but I've had better. We came on a Saturday night and it was busy but we got seated within 10-15 mins which wasn't too bad. Tried this place twice, first time it took the host 20 minutes to acknowledge us standing there even though we had a reservation and place was half empty. Took waiter 10 mins to come and introduce himself and take our drink order, then another 20 minutes to check on if we were ready to order. On top of that food was cold and not very good. The food is pretty good if not inventive and a tad overpriced but the thing that bothers me is the waiters bring your main course before you've finished your salad. That's flunking waitstaff class 101 in my book. Be prepared to pay $25 for valet service across the street which serves all restaurants on that Atlantic Ave block. The restaurant is small, and they are moving... but I am not sure where. Ambiance, well, not really, but I am sure the new place will be fine. They are so busy that the tables are close. Went to Tramonti last week for a late lunch with friends. Even though they were about to close the kitchen, they could not have been nicer or more welcoming. My friends are regulars and they recommended the tuna salad. Hmm what's special about tuna salad? Well, you haven't had Tramonti's tuna salad which seems to be a combination of great Italian tuna in oil, capers, red onions, tomatoes, amazing bread and phenomenal olive oil. They even provide extra Italian olive oil and tell you how to eat it. We had a great lunch and were urged to linger for coffee, even though the kitchen was closed. We were seated outdoors. Step in Tramonti and it'll take you back to another decade in Italy. This restaurant is directly on Atlantic Ave and I usually pass it all the time. From the outside looking in, it looks like they have small real estate on the strip. However once you walk inside, you'll know this restaurant takes up a good amount of space. Found myself here on a Friday night and it was packed. I came with my family as one of our family friend's highly recommended it as his favorite restaurant. We sat in a round table, half booth and were greeted by the staff kindly. The staff didn't hesitate to make recommendations and list their specials. Their service is top notch as they never let our glasses hit empty. They have numerous people waiting on you to make sure you're happy during the entire experience. We started out with bread and butter for the table. The bread was fresh and came out hot. We ordered a few orders of stuffed clams as they were highly recommended. They were to die for. I loved them. They reminded me of charbroiled oysters which are hard to find in South Florida. These clams were a great substitute. We also had ordered a few dishes of seafood and pasta. These plates came out extra large. Enough for 2-3 meals if you ask me! I tried out the lobster ravioli and I'm amazed. The broccoli rabe with roasted garlic, olive oil, red pepper flakes was good but a little too oily for me! Spaghetti in Caroccio- spaghetti with shrimp, parma prosciutto, diced garlic in a cognac garlic cream sauce, baked in foil was good. We had double espresso to end it and it was a very nice evening!
