I visited Sazio on Atlantic Avenue last night with my cousin and had a wonderful dining experience overall. We sat outside on the patio and the food was absolutely top-notch. We started with Crispy Brussel Sprouts as an appetizer, followed by a small Margherita pizza. For our entrees, we ordered the wild mushroom ravioli and the shrimp truffle risotto. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. The Brussel sprouts were especially outstanding, and both pasta dishes were excellent. The only reasons I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 are related to the outdoor dining experience. When our waters were refilled, there wasn't any fresh ice added, so it was essentially just melted ice water. I personally enjoy a nice cold glass of ice water, so that was a little disappointing. Also, there were quite a few flies and bugs around the patio area. It would be great if the restaurant added citronella candles or small table-top fly repellents to make outdoor dining more enjoyable and comfortable for guests. That said, the food was fantastic, the atmosphere was lovely, and I'd definitely return to Sazio again. read more

On the Avenue in Delray, it's a hole-in-the-wall that you might think won't hit the bar. You'd be wrong! Everything is made to order, but the pizza is my review today. What I ordered isn't on the menu. It's a four cheese pizza, too which I added mushrooms and basil. Four of us couldn't finish it. Just the perfect thickness, not overcooked, and outstanding. Sazio is a good choice for Happy Hour or for a casual lunch or dinner but lately I have been disappointed and while I'm not expecting gourmet meals here I often question the quality of what is served. Pastas are the best choice and usually it's fine but I've made the mistake of ordering a Shrimp special and that didn't work as the shrimp were not fresh. I've also been disappointed with Burrata as it lacked the requisite creaminess and the texture was off and it seemed like it could have been a little old or not refrigerated properly. Beside Happy Hour Sazio is also fine for pizza. read more

A small restaurant with some indoor and outdoor seating. The server was friendly but definitely not a hoverer. Even though there was only one other person eating inside, it took some effort to get the server's attention for soda refills. Some traditional appetizers were not present on the menu and that was a let down. The pizza was fresh, hot and tasty, with just enough cheese and pepperoni. For a smaller size italian/pizza restaurant on the busy main street of Atlantic Ave in Delray Beach , it is actually a very good reminder of Pizza & Italian food back home in NY. I eat here everytime I'm in Florida, which will actually be permanent soon. Their pizza is the closest I've had to NY pizza ( Brooklyn, Queens & Bronx to be more specific) . Their garlic stix are definitely worth a try , some of the best I've tried. And if you're an eggplant eater, Their eggplant rollatini is superb. I can say that for the smal place it is, it's a good Itaian food restaurant , which I've been to plenty of times and will go to plenty more. I've never had a bad waiter/waitress and sitting outside in December to eat is great. The owner himself is very personable and he takes care of his clientele as well as his employees. I am so happy to find another good Italian restaurant downtown Delray. Although I didn't order strictly Italian, I thoroughly enjoyed the pecan crusted chicken salad and the breadsticks were the bomb. The menu had so many great salads and as many great Italian pizzas, sandwiches and entree options I can't wait to try. We parked easily on a side street early in the evening and walked to the Ave. We were greeted and seated immediately, our choice of indoors or outdoors. It was warm outside but the fans and time of night allowed us to sit outdoors. The interior is quite small and the tables are tight, but if you need AC it is very cool indoors. My friend loved her sandwich which came with a side salad. The portions were huge and prices were very fair. Our server was excellent. Came here for lunch and had THE BEST seasonal salad. My friend's chicken parm sandwich looked phenomenal. Strolling down Atlantic in DELRAY beach.... We were checking out a lot of menus. Sazio's caught our eye. Waitress was very nice. I had the Chicken Bruschetta... Grilled Chicken, Fresh Mozzarella, Arugula, Balsamic Glaze and I think tomato on Homemade Toasted Ciabatta. It also came with salad on the plate :) It was enough for 2 people! I took half back to our condo and thoroughly enjoyed it the next day for lunch. My hubby had the Turkey Brie and apple wrap.... And he ate the whole thing lol oh and the bread they brought beforehand (which was like a twisted breadstick sort of) was very good as well. We enjoyed eating outside on their patio. Try it! We've been to Sazios a few times now, trying different things on the menu. The fresh pasta is fantastic and the pizza is good. They also have late night hours so you can grab a slice after the bars. I wouldn't recommend the Sausage peppers and onions or the eggplant parm appetizer. Everything else we've tried has been a hit! I was so full from brunch at LuLu's that I took it easy at Sazio. Even the little I got was very good. I had fried calamari some were alittle chewy but others had the salt crunchy taste. My Cesar salad was my dream salad. I love a lot of cheese and croutons and it had just that. The pizza was good too! That caught me by surprise. Friends and I went to sazio's last night for dinner. I was very excited to go here because I've always heard good things. The restaurant itself is very cute, and offered both indoor and outdoor seating. Our waitress seemed new, and couldn't really explain the dishes or work her tablet in order to take our order. I ordered the sazio sandwich, my friend got the baked ziti, and my other friend got pomodoro with burrata. The plates were very beautiful when they were brought out, and we were excited to dig in. My sandwich was very large and hearty, but kind of flavorless. It needed some acid somewhere to bring out flavor. My friend who got the ziti was so excited when the plate came, but it said the actual dish was very soupy. My other friend enjoyed her pasta but also said she found it lacking. The waitress never came back to fill our drinks and we were constantly having to flag her down. Given the prices for these meals, I do anticipate better service and flavor. read more

We came across this restaurant walking down the Ave. We were craving pizza. Restaurant was small and cute inside and food was really good. Server was nice. We started with a bruschetta and added burrata that was so flavorful I felt like I could literally taste all the flavors of balsamic, olive oil, tomatoes, burrata. My husband and I decide to share a large pizza. We love spicy food so we got the traditional pizza and added hot cherry peppers. This pizza tasted so good and spicy! I feel like I've gone to so many pizza places or Italian places that serve pizza where everything was just okay or subpar. No this pizza was actually delicious. Finally made it to Sadie for a lunch date! This place is in a prime Atlantic Ave location, so you really can't miss it. The staff was so friendly and checked up on us frequently, which I love. We sat outside, because it was such a nice day, and I love to people watch. I of course had to start off with soup, and one of the specials was Pasta Fagioli, my fave. My boyfriend got the other special, Lobster Bisque. We both absolutely loved the soups! We both couldn't decide what to order, as the menu is quite extensive, so we decided to split two things! We got the chicken philly sandwich and the caprese pizza to share. Both were delicious! Pizza was cooked perfectly, and the cheese on top of the sandwich was melted and warm. Tucked away on Atlantic Ave this pizza spot is located near quite a bit of competition. My colleague & I brought some students here for lunch while on a field trip to the Delray Beach Open. We stopped in a little after 12:30pm and the restaurant was just beginning to pick up for lunch with many people patronizing the pizza window and eating their slices as they walked the strip. The wait staff was great for accommodating 12 of us on the spot. We ordered a variety of pizza pies (cheese, sausage & pepperoni) and waters. Wait time was minimal. The first pie came out fairly quickly. I love the fact that this restaurant offers thin sliced pizza as it's staple. Slices are a reasonable size for the price. Flavor however, leaves very little to rave about. I've heard this place has very good salads. If I was ever in the area for an early lunch again I'd maybe stop by to give one of those a try. read more

Tried to go to the Mexican place around the corner and there was a 30-40min wait for the 2 of us. Such a FORTUNATE CIRCUMSTANCE! We had dinner at Sazio and ABSOLUTELY LOVED it! My husband had the Mushroom Ravioli and I had the Chicken Pollo Gorgonzola and substituted Fettuccine instead of penne. Absolutely perfect! We sat outside with our little Teddy Bear puppy and they brought us a huge bowl of water! The BEST part was Jessie!!! She made the best suggestions and we loved EVERY BITE! Pizza is a 4 but the unacceptable service from the owner is the reason for the 1 star. I came in for pizza dough as me and my husband do quite frequently since we like making out own pizza at home. I was turned away very rudely last Sunday night because he was too busy to get me dough. The real reason is that my $8 purchase was not worth his time when people are ordering $30 pizzas. Sazio is a cute little pizza joint located in the heart of downtown delray. It's a great location to grab a bite after doing some shopping or after a night out. After they close the restaurant they actually sell slices out the window which is very cool. It's nice to grab a slice and walk around ! I personally am not a huge fan of the pizza. It's very thin, the slices are on the small size, and it can be pricey. I do like that you can customize a pie in sections because everyone can get the toppings they like. However, it comes with a hefty price. Overall, not my favorite spot for pizza. read more

what are fine establishment! I ate there last night right before the Rolling Stones tribute at the Arts Garage. It had a nice ambience and The Wait for a table was reasonable.
