Convenient for breakfast and lunch before skiing. Can get crowded in the morning so try to get there early.

This place is one of our favorites in girdwood…read more Everything was exceptional. Steak cooked perfectly how I wanted. Cod with the skin still was over the top. Sweet cheeks was our favorite, halibut lettuce wrap. Super busy on NYE and the service was amazing for how busy it was. The exterior and interior are beautiful and definitely feels "homey" .

We had a mixed experience at Jack Sprat…read more Service timing was rough. It took over an hour from ordering to get our main dishes. About 1.5 hours from when we were seated. We did get the dip bread appetizer about 15 minutes after ordering which helped. Then we waited another full hour after finishing it before our food arrived. The food was inconsistent. The chow fun noodles were undercooked. More like al dente pasta which does not work for a Chinese dish. The burgers came with fries that were cold and hard. They did fix that quickly and brought fresh fries which were much better. The wagyu burger was the biggest disappointment. The meat tasted very gamey. That is not what you expect from wagyu which should be rich and buttery. I ended up trying to cover the taste with toppings just to eat it. Not enjoyable. Our child did enjoy her grass fed beef burger and had no complaints. The atmosphere is great. Live music adds a nice touch. We also liked the shop next door and the outdoor wood fire. We like this place and wanted it to be a great experience. The food and timing just missed the mark this time. Hoping they improve because the setting is really nice.

f you're anywhere near Double Musky Inn, skipping it would be a mistake. This place is legendary…read morefor a reason. Tucked away in Alyeska, it feels like a cozy, slightly wild cabin--but the food is next level. The menu leans Cajun, and everything comes out bold, rich, and unapologetically indulgent. The pepper steak is a standout--perfectly cooked, drenched in flavor, and honestly one of the best I've had. The salmon is a must--fresh, perfectly prepared, and easily one of the yummiest dishes on the menu. Portions are generous, so come hungry. The atmosphere is half the experience: eclectic, intimate, a little chaotic in the best way. It's not polished or trendy--and that's exactly why it works. It feels authentic, like a place that hasn't tried to change for anyone. They don't take reservations, so expect a wait--but it's absolutely worth it. Grab a drink, settle in, and lean into the experience. Alyeska has its share of great spots, but this is the one you remember.

Expect to line up before 5pm to get a seat here, as this is the most popular restaurant in Girdwood…read moreand reservations aren't accepted. Although many others comment on the "vibe" and "energy" of the place, I found it to mainly be loud and hectic. The menu is diverse and the execution is very good. Not quite "world class" as claimed on the website but world class in the sub category of remote ski resort cuisine. Large portions, bold flavors, and tons of protein options. I enjoyed the lobster kabob, the fried chicken, the jambalaya, and the crawfish dip. The only item that was not worth it was the meatballs which were lean and overcooked. A must-visit in Girdwood.
