Trapper was an amazing experience mainly because of Andrea our server. She came over multiple times to check in on us, cracked a few jokes, and gave us suggestions to try on the menu. I went here the other day for all you can eat with my sister and my toddler during happy hour. I really love coming here, but my last visit was really tough and not very enjoyable. The food was delicious, but we there a full 2 hours and my son was extremely upset being stuck in a high chair for that long. The place was probably half capacity so there were decently busy working on all the rolls, but it was just disappointing with how long it took to receive 3 rolls and a few sashimi. As a mother, we really try our best to keep our kids content but with how long it took we had to take turns with him outside and we couldn't just eat in a timely manner and leave. I really want to go back because the food is great and servers are so nice and friendly but this makes it really hard to want to return. read more

The sushi rice was just dry short grain rice without the flavor and texture of good sushi rice. We did have a nice mushroom appetizer which was very nice. The sashimi was firm and fresh but as the most important part the sushi rice was terrible. We also had spicy tuna maki with the substandard rice and for some reason the tuna seemed to be ground up. I spent 6 years in Japan and do not believe this sushiya would remain open very long. Also the miso soup had a very strong shiro miso flavor. I have been a Trapper's Sushi fan since living in WA years ago. I squealed when I saw a piece of WA would be down the road from us! They surely didn't disappoint! YES- they are NEW and they are LEARNING! We had a few little kinks when dining in for the first time a few weeks ago but that comes with the territory of opening a new location and training new staff. We ended up having the bartender finish up as our server as well, but everyone who came to our table ensured our order was correct and we got each part of our meal. One of my new favorites I've found at Trapper's are their cocktails... my goodness... don't hesitate!!!! Not only are they well priced (I sure enjoy their happy hour!!) but their Blueberry Drop Lemonade cocktail was to die for. I could've used a bucket of it!! We love trappers however each time we go there is always something wrong. We were a party of 2 adults and 2 toddlers and everything seemed to take forever. Our waitress was nice and very personable however we only saw her a few times. Very light staff. We did notice the manager or what seemed like the manager bringing food out and helping the staff. Our sushi tasted amazing however all of our rolls were rolled very sloppy and my daughter had a very difficult time eating it because it kept falling apart. I did take a photo the second we received it and my husband and I were speechless. We did ask for no avocado and what it looked like was they made it with avocado and then last second removed it. I had to squish it back together with my hands so it wouldn't fall apart on my daughter. With a bill well over $100 we might wait a little until we return. read more

Food was definitely above average quality but not great great. zero hate just not above average sushi though it is a solid deal for the unlimited dinner price of $30, so since I can't give it a 3.5 and don't want to give the restaurant 3 stars stick at 4 stars for this restaurant. All employees were nice, they could be way quicker about everything going on from seating to eating, it's slowish but it's a freshly opened place so gotta give the staff some time to improve so service can't be a 5 and definitely isn't a 3 so the staff friendliness being on point service gets a 4. All in all there, trapper is nothing to write home about but nothing to complain about either. I'll prob go back. read more

Entertaining 2 toddlers while we wait over an hour for food is not an easy task whatsoever. Many people that arrived after us got food before us. They seem to prioritize large parties. Good, but not great. Bring a dose of patience,the food comes out slow. They have a lot of people working hard and the service was good. The place is a bit over crowded of tables close together. We sat left of the sushi bar next to the opening near the dish washing station and it was a little loud. The sushi was just okay, bland. The appetizer trapper bites with the sauce was delicious.
