    California and crab nigiri
    Kemlyn B.

Tasty Nigiri sushi! Lots of roll options. Dinner All You Can Eat is when you can get the Nigiri! $30 is pricier that other places, but the fish is fresh and they don't skimp on the fish. I like their freshly prepared vegetable tempura and their seaweed salad.

This is our 4th visit to Trappers and it continues to be delicious. We had the whole family time so we ordered Yacht #1 which includes the California Crunch, Bonney Lake, Puyallup, Trapper rolls and two orders of Goyza! At the top of the picture is the California Crunch (Spicy crab, teriyaki & avocado rolled in tempura crumbs.) Very light and a nice balance of flavors. The next one down in the picture is the Bonney Lake (Crystal shrimp with cream cheese, fried in tempura, covered with spicy crab, teriyaki & hot sauce.) The group was divided on this one. The spicy crab seeming like BBQ pork and then a simple hot sauce. I actually enjoyed the texture differences and the familiarity of the hot sauce. The next one down in the picture is the Puyallup (Salmon, avocado & cream cheese fried in tempura topped with a special sauce, teriyaki & green onion.) This was my least favorite of the food tonight with the special sauce being very mayonnaise heavy, in my opinion. It just overtook the other flavors. To the far left and far right was the Mt. Si, (ordered separately and not a part of what is included with the Yacht; Smoked salmon, apple and cream cheese, topped with avocado and sweet chili sauce.) We order the Mt. Si because it was and is our favorite. The balance between the sweetness and tart of the apple, followed by the sweet chili sauce is just excellent. Lastly is the Trapper. (Crystal shrimp covered with spicy cooked scallops, teriyaki, green onion & masago.) People were divided on this as well saying the scallops over powered the other flavors. I enjoyed the texture differences again but would ask for less scallops as the other flavors are lost, in my opinion. The shishito peppers were and are still a big hit. The kids also loved them with the sauce. A perfect amount of breading providing a great little crunch. The Gyoza, were fried perfectly with a perfect crunch. The edamame were simple but good and well salted. The kids teriyaki chicken meal with rice and apples was perfect for our toddler. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. Whether it be for a date night or dinner with the family, you will be good to go! The service and staff were all kind and professional. 3*** = Good but no separation from similar restaurants 4**** = Set themselves a part and their food is different and I want to go back. 5*****= You have to go out of your way and make a special trip to try the deliciousness that is there!

Always a fun time sitting at the bar and getting all you can eat! The chefs tonight were very nice and fast! Mr Charlie - we liked it but want more fish in it. More of a fried taste and less fish STP -yummy and creamy Sounder without cream cheese -I liked it but my sister wasn't a fan Thrill -my sister loved this one but it was a bit too spicy for me We finished off with some nigiri Albacore -best fish of the night! Salmon -it was average. It was kinda tough Jaysin -it was good Tuna -good Water had a weird taste so we got the green tea which was really good!

Walked in at about 12 noon. The person at the hostess stand was super friendly and was helpful getting up to the sushi bar for the all you can eat sushi. We got sat and a waitress came right over so we could order drinks and explained the process for lunch and the all you can eat or the option to use the dinner menus for the all you can eat. The vibe in the place was super cool. I usually get lots of pictures but the staff was very interactive o helping us since my friend had not had anything other than California roll. I did get a picture of Tyler with some sushi and I will for sure be back.

This was reallly WET. I'll give it a 4/10

First tried Trappers when stationed in Washington and was happy to see an Arizona location. Great selection. Great quality. Well worth it.

I used to come here specifically for the Ramen, but the Ramen has never been the same after a bit before Covid had hit and they decided to change the recipe and everything about it and it's just like mid now, but I've recently discovered how good their noodles are. This is probably some of the best chow mein I've had and that's mostly what's carrying this review. I literally am only putting it at three stars because I am still upset about the Ramen situation and how it used to be really good and I can't factor that out of my review lol but what I usually get here is the hot chicken bao bun and it's pretty freaking good pretty spicy too. I'm like white girl level zero when it comes to spices and I think it's pretty spicy but it's super flavorful. The pickles they put into it are really good. I think they like saturate them in something and like I said before the chow mein noodles are just super good. They're not dry and they're pretty flavorful it's great. I'm just hoping one day the Ramen will be better so I can change the review higher lol

When we walked in it had a very fishy smell, so it kind of made us second guess our choice. But we went for it anyhow. The greeter/server was very pleasant and sat us. It was very clean inside with ample space between seat. We browsed through the menu and started with our usual edamame and pot stickers. The edamame was salted well throughout where a lot of places just put the salt on top only. We ordered a couple varieties of sake which were both good. Out of all of the things we ordered the karange skewer was just a little more oily than were use to, but still good. The spicy salmon roll had really great flavor and the lollipop roll was probably one of the better versions that we have had. The musubi was giant to say the least, it was good, but offered a bit too much rice. Overall the food and service was great and we were very happy that we ended up here!

We were nearby for a show, and decided to stop in on a Wednesday evening for a late dinner with some friends. They have a good happy hour menu, and my friends ordered off there, but I was craving sushi so I got the nigiri omakase. It came with miso soup, which I enjoyed, definitely hard to go wrong there. The sushi itself was decent, nothing crazy, but definitely better than grocery store quality. The tuna and salmon pieces were a little fishy, maybe not the freshest, but it was also quite late (~10pm) so I wasn't expecting too much. Beautifully presented, and the cuts were quite large which was nice! The food came out pretty fast, and the service was pleasant. The restaurant vibes are pretty dark, and moody. The bathroom was kind of scary personally, super dark and a little messy, so I decided to wait till I got home. Overall, a solid experience, and definitely a good choice if I am in the area.

I couldn't tell you the timeframe of when the current ownership took it over from the previous owner when I first started frequenting Eest. The change was immediately felt. The level of customer care and taste of food changed. Not for the worst, but different. My last visit this month for an order of shrimp fried rice was my final straw and I will find somewhere else to find some food. It has been a very slow spiral downward with the quality of food. I am talking years where the consistency was slipping. Then last month it was as if they forgot what they were doing. What was served to me was edible, but nowhere near what I have been given in the past. I hope it was a bad day for the kitchen for the establishment's sake! Call in takeout orders have been a speed bump. You call in and you're quoted a time of when your order will be ready. You pay for your order when you get there. Then the clock starts. It totally defeats the purpose of the original quoted timeframe.
