It was late and we wandered into this tiny tiny restaurant. We sat outside near the water - it was late October and very pleasant. It was our first night in Venice and we were staying at the Hilton in Stucky. There aren't many choices for eating and we did not want to eat at our hotel. This place is a gem. The owner was our waiter who did not speak English, though he tried very hard. We were the dumb Americans speaking the few Spanish words we knew. We told him to bring us what he thought was good for us (thank you Google translate) and he did not let us down. Two simple dishes- penne arrabbiata and gnocchi al porcini. Simply put, amazing. He brought us dessert on the house even though we were stuffed. It's hard to get to if you're not on Stucky. But it will definitely be our stop on our next visit. Remember, we went in October. We heard the crowds between June and September make Times Square look tame. read more

If staying on Giudecca in Venice this restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating and you can sit right along the water. The spaghetti bolognese and sea bass were good. However, the bruschetta was a letdown; while it was a generous portion of five pieces, the pomodoro topping made the bread soggy and was by far my least favorite in comparison to other restaurants in Italy. For dessert we got the lemon cake since they were out of the panna cotta and it was ok. Gave it 3 stars as it was an average experience compared to other dining in Venice. read more

Do Mori Spaghetti is very tasty. Pizza is good too. I don't like Seafood platter appetizer much. Probably I have enough similar stuff for my breakfast in the hotel. The service is very attentive. It is a good choice if you stay in Hilton Molino Stucky. read more

Not everywhere in Italy is great for pizza and pasta. It wasn't terrible, in general. Pizza was simple. Very soggy crust away from edge, but ok flavor. Carbonara was worst I've had in the world. Seemed like mediocre pasta with canned white sauce poured over it and a few pieces of meat - that's it. Edible, not offensive, but not worth having. The branzino was pretty good. Not overcooked or undercooked. Watching the water taxis land and depart is fun from this location. read more

Eating dinner at Do Mori was amazing. After checking in at our hotel, my wife and I just had to walk around and take in the beautiful local scenery. We found this little restaurant, looked at the menu posted on the window and decided to give it a try. It was the first restaurant in Venice we dined at and we had a great experience. Tofi was our excellent waiter. He answered all our questions about the menu selections. My wife chose "Branzino alla Griglia" with grilled vegetables, and i decided on the "Tagliata di Manzo con Rucola e Grana" with French fries. It was delicious. My sliced steak was perfectly cooked; my wife's sea bass was grilled to perfection, ohh so good! We absolutely devoured all of our main courses! We decided to share a dessert at the end of our meal. Tofi highly recommended the house made Tiramisu. My wife loves Tiramisu, I not so much. After the first and second spoonful bites of it... i realized my mistake! I should've had my own tiramisu, just for myself. The texture and beautiful flavor... OMG! We washed all of that down with limoncello, compliments from the house. read more

2nd night in Venice, this place was close by to our hotel. Staff friendly, food was just "ok". We ordered the lasagne - ok to good but not extraordinary. Also ordered the spaghetti in squid sauce. The sauce was very good, but the noodles themselves were a bit over cooked (not al dente). I recommend the house wine, the white wine was very good. The ambiance was very nice. read more

We were staying at the Hilton Molino Stucky and had been in Venice all day. We came back to Hilton on the Hilton water taxi which is about a 15 minute boat ride. We asked the concierge for a restaurant recommendation that would be easy and where it would not require us to go get dressed up. Unfortunately all of his suggestions required us to get back in the water taxi and travel back to Venice or a shorter 5 minute ride that dropped you off in a closer neighborhood across the water. Well we did our own research and found this local Italian restaurant on the boardwalk only a 5 -10 minute walk. It was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. It's a small restaurant with a local feel to it. We were looking for some simple pasta dishes and hit the jackpot with spaghetti and lasagna. Again, we were looking for easy and simple and this hit the mark. read more

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience here. We walked by the restaurant and the owner was asking if we would like a spot. We said we'd walk around a bit before deciding the place and he politely thanked us and let us go, without hassles. After looking at the menus at the 2 restaurants down the street, we decided that Do Mori has the most appealing menu. We got the sadine as appetizer, sliced beef and mixed grilled fish dish as main courses. The food were flavorful and came in the timely manner. The price was affordable for the amount of food and quality. However, price affordable is relative compared to where you live and what you're used to. We are from San Diego so I thought that price was right The waiter can come off as a bit pushy but no where near rude or unattentive as the below comments stated. Bad service, worse food. This place seems to be in it for the tourist money. The food seems mass-produced with no care behind the preparation. The spaghetti bolognese was mediocre at best but the spaghetti alla carbonara was even worse. When the carbonara came out, I stared in disbelief. It came out as a heap of spaghetti with specks if deli ham in it, slathered in a gooey yellow sauce. The dish tasted about as bad as it looked; close to that of Kraft Mac n Cheese. Our server was also not friendly and took several times of us asking to bring us the bill. Would not recommend. read more

This place was super close to our Airbnb so we decided to eat here on our last night in Venice. The service was kind of slow (but that was the same all over europe). Everyone at our table enjoyed our food, and the food was affordable! Very pretty views of Venice and the water also which is a huge plus! read more

Great food and service! We are traveling in Italy starting from the south all the way to north (visiting from USA), this restaurant has the best fish (grilled and baked), and the best 'seafood' and also the 'shrimp and lobster' pasta in our whole travel. I don't remember the Italian names of the dishes, but both pasta dishes and the fishes were amazing! The seafood was very fresh. The mixed fried seafood was amazing. They also have the best cappuccino! We liked their food so much that we went back three times during our stay in Venice. read more

That's the first time I actually write a review. But that was our first restaurant in Guidecca. Starting from the beginning: Stuff don't know English! We ordered three items, pointing directly in the menu. As a result we got a totally different appetizer and were told that it was our fault thus we didn't get what we ordered initially. Pasta wasn't satisfying at all, and it was a total disappointment. What got me shocked is that we found some hair(!) in it. At the end, after we requested a bill we were waiting for almost an hour to get it! We found an extra position in our invoice, after a hot discussion they explained it was some sort of tips. It was a really shitty experience and I TOTALLY DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. read more

The prior review here said that the service was "Italian". It's not "Italian", it's just "Unacceptably Awful". Made an incredibly unfortunate visit to this restaurant for dinner and encountered the worst, most combative waiter possibly imaginable. The dude was only paying attention to his Samsung phone so he could punch in the order (can someone take these things away from these people and give them a notepad if they're too slow to remember?) but naturally got most of it wrong. He proceeded to bring out the wrong stuff and later didn't want to remove it from the bill. It was basically a case of I made an error now you pay for it. The food was ripoff priced (a 5 Euro plate of grilled vegetables was actually a quarter of an eggplant thinly sliced) and was far from anything you would expect from an Italian restaurant anywhere, forget Italy. If there was not a consistent stream of tourists to take cash from this place would be out of business overnight. read more

Look. It's Italy. The cheese is delicious and the vegetables are bursting with flavour. It follows, my pizza and plate of grilled vegetables were perfetto. The service however? Nope. Giudecca has lovely views of Venezia so there's that. And they had a high chair for the little one. This place is a tourist trap. Skip it. You know it going in- the waitstsff are out on the sidewalk jumping on everyone that comes down the sidewalk like used car salesmen. We decided to eat there because it was the only place that still had an outdoor table open. The food was mediocre, but we did enjoy the view. They do charge a "cover charge". read more

We had the mussels and clams among other other items. More than half of the mussels were unopened and unable to be eaten. Our waiter never came back after delivering the food. My daughter didn't like her food so we wanted to order her some plain butter noodles. Finally the man who tries to convince people to come in asked us what we needed. We told him we would like to order noodles. After 20 minutes, I had to go inside and ask for noodles. He never ordered them. The staff made us feel like we were doing something wrong.
