BF sandwiches just ok, coffee just ok, but liked the ambiance and the vibe, and it opens at 7am. The BF sandwiches were dry and meh, they toasted the muffin then put the ingredients inside. Ugh this place was so cute and cozy! We were greeted right away by two young gentlemen who were sooo nice and full of smiles. We ordered coffee and breakfast and it was amazing. We ordered a tri tip breakfast burrito which was delicious 4.5/5, a breakfast plate which was a 4/5 and a waffle which was 4.5/5. Everything was great and our coffees were really good. You can really taste the quality and the notes of the coffee beans. We'll definitely be back next time we're here. read more

One of the worst breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. I would not come here for food. It lacked any flavor and was basic as most. The breakfast sandwiches looked like it was thrown together the scrambled egg was burnt, just plan bread not even toasted the bacon was cold and lacking the shredded cheese not even melted . My daughter's waffle looked like it was headed up in a toaster and my husband's burrito was cold and nothing was melted just sort of tossed together. Would not recommend the lady we tried to talked to was full of attitude and didn't seem to care so we left paying $60 for food and drinks that we tossed out. read more

Coming in we were excited to try out some food but didn't realize their kitchen closes at 12 :( I assumed the kitchen would close a little later because they offered lunch items. They only had cold meat sandwiches. However, they do still serve drinks. 5/10 iced chai tea latte. I asked for oat milk as a substitution. The spice was not as strong as other chai lattes I've had before. I thought since I substituted for oat milk it'd be less dense (and a bit more water-y) but it was still pretty dense and thick. The ambiance is really nice. Perfect if you need to get some work done on your computer as there are a good amount of tables inside and outside. If you're someone who doesn't like having background music this is where to go (at least from the time I went ~1PM). They did have to close early since they ran out of ingredients, but they offered the seating out at the front as a place to continue working as they closed! read more

It was a bit of a wait, so I thought it was a good sign! Unfortunately, they were out of the strawberry cream cheese croissant. Admittedly, we did go mid-morning so that probably lended itself to items being out. Service was good; the cashier was helpful and patient... I wanted a vanilla latte and asked if it came sugar-free, it didn't, and she offered a sugar-free hazelnut. In the end, I ordered a sugar-free hazelnut Americano decaf drip. Iiiit was underwhelming. The food did look good though. Maybe next time I'll order the waffles. It was a cute space - seating in the front as well as the back of the cafe. There was a separate area to get condiments, napkins, various sugar options, etc. An employee was cleaning out the trash from that area, with no gloves, mind you. She picked up a piece of trash from the floor. Then she began to touch other items on the countertop, such as the creamer refill containers!!! Mmmm, that's unsanitary!!! This place is so great! During our weekend stay in Kings beach we visited this place twice cause we enjoyed it so much. There's a large variety of hot and cold drinks to choose from as well as great options for breakfast foods. They also bbq their own brisket so that's a nice touch as well. This place is a busy spot on weekends so be aware that there may be a line when you get there but it moves fast! A very cute, cabin-like coffee house! read more

Excellent coffee and extremely friendly service! Their pastries were amazing - we got the lemon roll, cinnamon roll, almond croissant (my favorite), spinach ricotta roll, and strawberry croissant. Each one was amazing, but the spinach ricotta roll and almond croissant were NY favorites. We were there on the weekend so we also had a chance to get the tri tip breakfast burrito and it was phenomenal! Other reviews have said their burritos are small, but we didn't think so. Great little coffee shop. This used to be a pizza joint and switched over to a café in the last year or two. Tried it for my first time today, super friendly staff and great selection for breakfast food. The coffee is excellent and I got a treehouse breakfast burrito that was delicious. Probably not all that good for you because it was loaded up with tater tots, but Super tasty. The only criticism I would add would be the front door closing spring is very strong, may be very difficult for somebody that's handicap to get in and out of the restaurant. read more

We had a very unpleasant experience at Treehouse Café in Tahoe. As soon as we walked in, there was an overwhelming and terrible smell coming from the bathroom, which is poorly placed right next to the counter where you have to order your coffee since there is no table service. There was little to no ventilation, so the odor spread throughout the entire café and made it impossible to stay. What made the situation worse was that the staff completely ignored the issue, despite how obvious and uncomfortable it was for everyone inside. Because of this, we decided to leave immediately after we got our coffees It completely ruined what could have been a nice coffee stop. I really hope management takes this seriously and addresses the ventilation, and hygiene, as it significantly damaged our experience. read more

Such a cute place, poor young gal working the register was all over the place but doing a phenomenal staying on top of things. She was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere here was great it's so warm and cozy. Who ever was on AUX was killing it the music was awesome. Talking CCR, Hootie and the Blowfish, absolutely classics!
