My son, typical of most toddlers, has gone through many ups and downs, during his first 9 months at this school. He went through the "I miss Mommy" phase, which lasted two weeks because his teachers were attentive and understand. He went through the "I'm angry and I'll hit" phase, which took a bit longer to correct by his teachers AND Ms. Parisa. He is currently going through the "I want to learn and teach everything to everyone" phase, which I hope will last a lifetime. He is enthusiastic about learning and experiencing new things. He misses his teachers and Ms. Parisa during the weekend, mentioning them by name. He points out letters he knows, identifies shapes when we are out, cannot wait to go to the window and report on "the weather today," counts for fun, etc. This lets me know the school is doing something very unique for these children. In addition to executing an exceptional curriculum and hiring gifted teachers, Parisa has a "hands on" approach with her students. She is present, she is encouraging, she guides them when they need extra attention. She is loving - my son tells me he loves her. This is what I want from a Head of School. As you can imagine it is not the most ideal (is it ever?) to send a newborn to daycare. They have exceeded my expectations in every way. Every single employee is so pleasant to talk to. Their communication has been seamless. I am not able to physically meet her teachers, but we have had zoom calls and they have an amazing app that they send constant pictures and videos throughout the day. They do such a fantastic job at trying to figure out this whole new norm we are living in. Most importantly you can tell they loveeeeeee the kiddos. Genuinely love and are happy. I toured quite a few daycares and you can tell when employees are not happy. I could ramble on about all the great things, but you get the point. After the initial conversation with the owner of the school, we were taken on a tour where we knew immediately that this is a place where when we are at work we can be at ease knowing she is well taken care of and having a good time. It's a very loving and caring environment. Our daughter is being cared for by people that truly care about her and want to see her succeed in life. We also appreciate that the teachers are actually teaching and not just "watching" her. Although this is only her second week there, the teachers and the management staff have been fantastic about keeping us up-to-date on the highlights of our daughter's days, sharing her funny moments and her latest schedule. And the best part is that we don't always have to wait till the end of the day. They send us photos when they know it's a moment we wouldn't want to miss.
