I found this place mediocre for a few reasons. I'm in no way a rice fiend (I usually watch my carbs), but the amount of rice given with the curry and sweet/sour tofu was super tiny. The tiniest rice box I've ever seen. The sweet/sour was watery and acidic for my taste. Dumplings were underfilled and seemed to be missing the soy chicken promised. Favorite item was the massaman curry, which had appealing and crunchy whole peanuts inside. If I came here again, I'd go with the curry. I appreciate the vegan options. Green Chicken Curry (ordered level 3) was spicy and delicious. My friend raved about the Tom Yum soup. We also ordered mixed tempura- I was leery due to being the end of the day (old oil). Small Thai restaurant on the second floor of a plaza off Venice across from Smart and Final. Came here on a weekday evening and business seemed quite slow. Despite this, the food was of acceptable quality. We'd ordered the Tom Yum Goong soup which comes served with plenty of shrimp but portion size is quite small. A large order is enough to feed two. Pad thai was way too sour for my taste. The combination fried rice however had a nice "wok-fried" flavor and was perhaps the best dish of the three but came with the strong taste of MSG. The ambiance was quite nice but service slow even for a restaurant with only a few guests. I suppose their delivery service is more robust but it isn't terrible if you're craving thai food and happen to work/live around the area. read more

When we rolled in, the restaurant was pretty empty, but it seemed like a pretty neat place to eat. The restaurant has an open floor plan and features a mix of bar seats and normal tables--there's even a good amount of window tables that'll give you a good view of Venice while you dine. If you order off of the lunch special combo menu you get your choice of a main dish (over a dozen to choose from), rice (jasmine, brown, or fried), wonton soup, an egg roll, and a beverage (thai tea or soda) all for only $10.95...that's hard to beat. It only took about 10 minutes for them to prep all 3 meals. I ordered Thai BBQ Chicken and was greeted by two drumsticks, two breast halves, and a generous helping of sweet and sour sauce. We found this to be a good-to-excellent neighborhood Thai place. It's especially excellent during lunch hour and/or happy hour for their specials when the value skyrockets. The restaurant is very clean, nice but not fancy, and quiet enough to converse at normal volume. There's a low volume TV setup to watch whatever major sports are on. To the food... We started with potstickers, which are crispy and tasty. The sauce is syrupy, but with a wide selection of tableside sauces that's almost irrelevant. I had the yellow curry, spicy, and with beef. It was really flavorful, sweet with a kick. Beef is well done like any curry, but not tough or anything. She had the spicy mint noodles, which are essentially drunken noodles (pad kee mao) with mint leaves. They were good, a little more oily than some others, but overall delicious. The Thai tea is creamy and crazy sweet and syrupy but that is LITERALLY why you order it so 5* there from me. Again, it's all really affordable. We'll be back soon. read more

This was an incredible meal it reminds me of Natalee Thai across the street. I'm very impressed the food is better then Thailand. The servers were nice the Ambiance in the rooms breathtaking. THE WORST DELIVERY MAN EVER! Apparently the order would have been two hours late so I called to end the delivery. 25 minutes later the man is at my door step and thank God I was not home. I explained to him over the phone that I called earlier to cancel and he starts speaking in his native tongue then threatens me to never order from there again. Unfortunately, a similar situation happened with my fiancé and this guy months before. My finance decided to tip in the app and when he arrived he gave him a few dollars. I feel badly that they cannot land a cook who will put out authentic Thai food. I stay away for months, then try them again, as the staff is nice, but I have taken out orders that were so abysmal and tepid in temperature, that I was embarrassed for them. They put a few shreds of chicken in curries and it is obvious they weren't cooked in the curry.They seem to be pre-cooked nuggets of chicken they toss into the curry sauce. The counter of the bar seems never to be wiped down, which makes me reluctant to trust their hygiene in this unique time. If you go for a beer at Happy Hour, you'll notice oil patches and slime from previous bar diners. Come on, staff, clean after every diner. The tables are clean, but the bar is horrific. You notice it when you pick up to go. Inevitably, there are only a few tables filled, so I don't know how they stay open in such a huge space. You certainly don't see many Thai people at the tables, and it's no mystery why. They are pumping out pad thais and pad see yews almost exclusively. It's sad this is what Thai food has become on the west side. Very little authentic Thai food. The panang curry is watered down and tastes like it was made with flavor packets ( another dirty secret of many non Thai town spots). You'd never get away with it in Thai town, the curries define places like Ruen Pair. There still is almost no authentic Thai on the west side and it probably is because the clientele complains if a curry is too spicy, and all anyone wants is pad thai. I came during happy hour. I was not busy. The service was very good and the food came out quickly. The green curry had a very mild flavor, but our table loved it. We don't care for the strong fish sauce flavor some Thai dishes have. I would have added a little lime to cut the creaminess of the coconut milk, but I would totally order the green curry again.
