We stood at the front desk, ringing the bell for a bit. We finally got seated and took about 20 minutes to get this desert dish. Karaoke was going down while we ate our dessert and a tacoman chopping it up with pastor and asada tacos. Ambiance was fair.

The salsa is fantastic, incredibly fresh best describes it

As a fan of the former Sushiway, I'm so happy this restaurant now occupies this space. Tres Amores also features sushi, made by the legendary Felipe, he is an artist and simply makes the best sushi that keeps me coming back. When I heard that the new Tres Amores would offer sushi, I can't express how excited I was, it was a great gift indeed! It's a unique experience to have chips and their delicious house made salsa followed by the delicious sushi rolls which are available Thursday-Sunday. The salsa has a vibrant bright orange color that is so appealing. It has the perfect balance of medium heat and freshness, and with the delicious homemade chips it's a special treat for sure. The staff is wonderful, they always make me feel at home and offer a great place to relax and leave any worries behind. They also have tvs which will have your favorite baseball, football games to complete the experience. I love their Happy Hour while watching a game. Lastly they have started having a taco station outside which features a trompo of juicy al pastor and homemade corn tortillas. Fantastic. I haven't been yet to their Sunday brunch but I've heard they have live music and an epic buffet. It's definitely on my list to try very soon. Thanks Tres Amores for the always top level, enjoyable experience!

Very nice place. The restaurant is very open and clean. The waitress was very fast and nice. She gave many suggestions and helped us through the menu. The food came out quick and was very good! The drink was very strong. Maybe a bit too strong but that's ok. The birria tacos were so amazing! Everything was very flavorful and affordable

Brought my mom here for her birthday on Sunday. The brunch was decent with a lot of options. ($30 per person +gratuity) I didn't like that you had to walk in and out to the patio for omelettes or tacos while the rest of the items were in the dining and bar area. This is a new place so maybe they can improve the set up. I really did like their creamy pasta and chicken. Our waitress was very attentive and that was a big plus. The mariachi is very accommodating in taking a song requests. Made my mom happy.

    A family celebration! Gracias

Beautiful new restaurant in Oxnard! The service was great. All the servers were very attentive if our group. Came in for lunch. I ordered camarones a la diabla. And some sushi rolls. Th shrimps where cooked just right and the salsa was spicy and flavorful. For dessert we had the churros which is served with scoops of French vanilla and fresh fruit and two Macarons whip cream not one detail left behind. If you're in the area, I would definitely recommend to a family or a couple.

Great service and ambiance, they offer daily specials and a variety of options. On Sundays they do MARIACHI brunch which is very fun and bottomless mimosas with a Margarita option .

This place is new and they had the best food I have had in a minute. I ordered two sushi, rolls,l. The rice to sushi ratio was perfect l. And they took really good care of us. Always making sure we had water. And checked in with us frequently. Not to mention the interior design was breathtaking.

They have delicious food, amazing service!! We were attended quickly. Greeted at the front door by very friendly hostesses. They have a large menu which is great ! They have Italian, American, Mexican food and sushi. All the servers are super friendly and the owners came out to greet us and even gave us free dessert. They have such a great environment and have live music. I'm not a drinker and they have amazing cocktails best I've ever had !! The king Chiweenie has to have like 30 + drinks worth!! Was so good!! Definitely coming back !!

We expect a certain standard, a level of care that borders on obsession. So when I catch Evan Williams--respectable, questionable, but barely twelve bucks a bottle--making an appearance behind the bar, it feels like a breach of trust. A quiet betrayal under low lighting. The illusion only works if the details hold up under scrutiny... and that pour? It broke the spell. And then comes the real offense: discovering that your Old Fashioned--the crown jewel of any respectable cocktail program--are built on bottom-shelf, dust-collecting bourbon. That's not just a letdown, it's a slap in the face. A cocktail like that deserves reverence, not shortcuts. And as if to twist the knife, there it was--a massive can of red maraschino cherries sitting shamelessly atop the bar, like some relic from a dive that's given up on finesse. It wasn't just a misstep. It was disrespect. In a place claiming the speakeasy mantle, details like these matter. They're the difference between theater and parody. The cocktails did not warrant the $15 price tag. Moreover, I would have paid more had I know the class of bourbon upfront. What ultimately redeems the space is its ambiance. The low flicker of the fireplace, the soft embrace of worn leather sofas, the curated hum of music floating just above conversation--it's seductive, even soulful. The room itself is small, intimate--the kind of place where you're bound to recognize a face, or at the very least, feel inclined to invite a stranger to share the sofa and maybe a story. And then there's the setting--tucked beneath a historic relic, a basement bar built into the bones of old Americana. The building dates back to the early 1900s, echoing with a past that deserves to be honored, not phoned in. That's exactly why I expected more from the cocktails. A place with this much atmosphere shouldn't fall flat when it comes to what's in the glass. It's a mismatch--a beautiful stage, but a script that doesn't quite rise to meet it.

I absolutely cannot get enough of this place…read more The basement here is really the place to be. I love the ambiance, and the history on the walls. The cocktails change so it's always fun to come back! I always try to be there when this section opens. I love the calmness of the space and it gets livelier as the night progresses and it does get packed Always one of my highly recommended spots for people who want great drinks, fantastic atmosphere and delicious food. I'm looking forward to my next stop in!

Or maybe too many tables for her. I'll give her grace. She just was bothered any time we asked for something, so it completely ruined the experience. It took forever for her to come and take our order. Probably 30 minutes and we chatting enjoying each other's company but still. She didn't check in on us and we needed to ask the busboy for water as well. He was wonderful and friendly. The restaurant itself is nice. Great view of the marina however service needs work. Additionally, some food is premade as some dishes were out in like 5 minutes and my friend's Alfredo with grilled chicken took way longer to come out. We all waited to eat until she got her food as we all wanted to have dinner together as a friend date. We all wanted to ate together! My dish was a shrimp pesto pasta which was $35. Def more expensive than other restaurants but a huge portion. I didn't order any cocktails. I would come back and see if improved at a later date. It's fam owned, so check it out and see what you think.
