Great service during this difficult time. We sat outside and the atmosphere was great. They have large table umbrellas that are perfect for outside dining this time of year. I had a couple of Modelo dark beers and a Texas burrito with a side of guacamole. I really loved the taste and portion. They have completely mastered chips and salsa. The salsa came in an individual salsa bowls. All of the staff wore masks and tables were spaced at least six feet apart. I really enjoyed eating dinner here. Eating at a restaurant has taken a new dimension since covid. Something I took for granted is now quite special. read more

Salsa was outstanding. The house tastes like they just squeezed tomatoes. I asked for something with a bit more hooch and they brought out a tomatillo salsa that was perfect. The waiter soda they have a habanero that's off the charts, but this was hot enough. They've got a rather large patio with no smoking, mostly covered. The dinning room has some of the traditional Mexican tchotchke, but doesn't overdo it. The service was fast and the food was good. I had the Tres Portillos Special Steak. A grilled ribeye with grilled peppers, onions, mushrooms and tomatoes. When I go to a Mexican restaurant and order a steak, it's not about the meat. More about the veggies, and they did not disappoint. In lieu of rice and beans, they brought me a second helping of veggies. I was trying to eat healthy, but I think they grilled them on a stick of butter. I don't care, they were outstanding. The wife had Enchiladas De Camaroned, with shrimp, and the daughter had Enchiladas Vegetarian. Everyone was happy and no one walked away hungry. read more

My son and decided to go out for nacho chips and we thought of Tres Potrillos. My husband had been here a handful of times, but not for many years. I ordered Tacos Vallarta, substituting chicken for the shrimp (shellfish allergy). I must say that those tacos were probably the best tacos I had ever had. The coconut really made the difference. My wife and I were coming back from an event one evening and stopped at this Mexican restaurant. It looked festive with its outdoor lighting, so we decided we give it a try. We were greeted and seated, but our waiter seem to be in too much of a rush. We gave him our order but when the food arrived there were some issues. Unbelievably horrible customer service. We ordered takeout through door dash. 1st they gave our food to another person, then they remade our food so we thought ( that's what our driver told us) but it wasn't what we ordered off the door dash menu, when I called the women who answered the phone never apologized once, she kept telling me we got our order and that the menu is online, meaning different the the menu we used, and , we got extra food in our order and when I tried to explain that she just kept cutting me off, just so rude! We understand Friday nights are busy but I called so that another order wouldn't be messed up w the extra food they gave us. I truly was shocked the way the women ignored me and kept talking over me and never once tried to make the situation better with a simple apology or recognizing the mistake. We walked in and were greeted right away. We sat at the bar which was nice, clean and inviting. The bartender was nice and quick. He checked on us several times which was nice. The salsa and chips were very good. The chips were perfect and the salsa had the right amount of heat. We ordered chicken flautas and my soon to be hubby ordered the street tacos. I really like the atmosphere inside, the chairs are really cool. I ordered a peach margarita, but our waitress brought me a strawberry one, which was fine. It was pretty good, strong, but good. One of my go to restaurants for many years. We always enjoy our food carry out and dine in.

I started my meal with chips and salsa with some queso. The salsa and queso were great but the chips themself were a let down. Some were either under cooked or stale and just not my fav flavor. For my entree i had the lunch fajitas express. As advertised the fajitas came out FAST. The portion was more than adequate for a lunch menu item and it had TONS of meat. I took half of it with me and ate it for dinner. All in all (other than the chips not being my favorite ever), I left full and happy. Oh service was good. Attentive but not over bearing. read more

Our server wasn't very attentive with refills on chips or drinks or getting our check when done, but was very friendly once we flagged her down. I had the shrimp chimichanga. This was the best place I ate while staying at my parent's for a week. First off, I didn't expect the place to be so nice, but it has an awesome patio with a great fountain that makes you feel like you're somewhere else. The inside has these cool chairs made from barrels (and they're comfortable). Staff was friendly and efficient as you would expect from most Mexican restaurants. The chips and salsa were good. Salsa was fresh. This place specializes in burritos and enchiladas, but has a full menu of the usual suspects too. The 3 guys got burritos, 2 of which I tried, and they were REALLY yummy. Expect to walk out of there stuffed if you get a burrito. I got the enchiladas verdes with chicken (the waitress recommended the chicken) and it was REALLY good too. The chicken was particularly excellent and flavorful and the verde sauce was good too! Sides were nothing out of the ordinary. Prices were excellent, not may items exceed $10. If you want a restaurant that cook your scallops perfectly this is it. Like perfectly. Even I can't cook them this perfect. But the flavor was just good, not great. And service was good... The server kind of forgot about us for a little bit but that's fine we figured it out. :) Other than that they got some good things going.. They have the authenticity perfectly, down to the tineist detail. The music great! Sounds super family friendly and fun, but honestly I wouldn't know either way, for all I know the singers could've been describing human genitalia and it's mechanism in vivid detail, but it sounded nice. In the last 3 months we have gotten take out 3 times. We ordered one of their family meals and it turned us on to their Amazing Queso! We have also eaten in 3 times now since open. I really liked this place in the past. Food is good but this time I ordered a different margarita called blackberry mint margarita. I have never had a drink that tasted so bad. Not sure what was in it but it did not taste good. I asked the waitress to just give me a regular top shelf margarita instead. She got the menu to confirm the one I wanted then proceeded to take the other drink away. A minute later a guy came over and told me that drink I previously ordered was a special order and even if I didn't like it I can't return it I still had to pay for it. I could only get it removed from the bill if it had a hair in it. Well I was never told this information by the waitress before she took my drink away. I have had plenty of margarita in the past never tasted so bad. So the waitress did in the end charged me for two drinks and I only had one. This in my opinion is very bad customer service I've been a waitress in the past. I actually ended up crying by how I was talked to by the guy who looked like the manager. In my opinion this company should be ashamed not alone of how I was treated but before you even get in the restaurant there is a sign stating how short handed they are. Just had dinner here. Normally I do NOT do negative reviews. However, this one deserves it. I will start with the service, it was excellent as it always is. I had the camarones a la diablo. It was way too spicy and I usually like a spicy dish. I could not consume the dish there so I brought most of it home. I decided to stop at the desk on my way out and mention this. A man there showed me on the menu where it indicated the dish was very spicy and next time to read the menu. Really? Maybe I would if I felt not under pressure to order quickly as the waiters always hover around and rush people. Most restaurants I frequent will kindly advise that the dish is quite spicy and give me some things to think about. I am not high maintenance believe me. Margheritas great, salsa great. Ordered "corner tacos" (potatos, chorizo, queso). It was essentially potatos in a tortilla. The "chorizo" had to be ground beef, no seasoning at all on potatoes or the "chorizo". After tasting all the components individually with my girlfriend to make sure we weren't crazy, we found out it had to be ground beef, no chorizo grease, no chorizo spice, just bland meat. One of my favorite spots for margaritas, the food is all top notch. My go to for Mexican food is carnitas, so that's what I had today. The staff was very friendly, and the service was excellent. Three tikes and you're out. We have enjoyed going here over the last several years but no more. They messed up three takeout orders in a row. Once my Wife's dish wasn't what was ordered at all. Yesterday both our orders were not correct. I always order an extra side of mole sauce. For the 2nd time in a row there was extra salsa in the bag but no mole.
