Eat here regularly for dinner. Beautiful, elegant dining room and outside spaces. Most men wear blazers, everyone is nicely dressed. I enjoy seafood and there are several regular fish entrees on the menu and there are usually one or two fish specials. I also enjoy the veal preparations. On Memorial Day I was invited to join 2 great friends for a late lunch at Trevini. We ordered from the dinner menu - I'm guessing there is no lunch menu. The dining room is typically Palm Beach understated elegance - very attractive - but we opted for the porch from where we admired the Mediterranean architecture across the street and also speculated which table of diners owned the $2 million + Bugatti parked in front of the restaurant. (They start at $2 million and some models are over $12 million.) We didn't care for the arrogant waiter (the captain, maybe) who took our orders. He didn't like us either (HEY ! - we're nice people !!), but he disappeared & the next 5 or 6 servers with whom we had contact were very gracious & helpful. Two of us started with glasses of wine, and the always charming & well-traveled lady in our group ordered, as always at Trevini, the Caesar salad. (Fun fact ; Caesar salad was first served in Tijuana, Mexico. You might suppose early-day Rome !) She also enjoyed her Short Rib entree, served atop Risotto. Her very erudite, handsome husband has multiple food allergies, and therefore had a plate of plain pasta, with which he was contented. I started with the unusually tiny mussels served with sliced garlic in a light tomato sauce - delicious - and then enjoyed my Yellowtail Snapper served in a white wine lemon sauce (often called Francaise here in S. Fla). Also on the plate were a few thinly sliced potatoes topped with sauteed spinach, which this spinach hater totally loved. (Hey Trevini, how did you do that ? !) Two of us ordered dessert - Ricotta cheesecake, and I had the Cannoli - we devoured both. (Again I digress ... I always prefer the less creamy New York style cheesecake, made with cream cheese, not ricotta cheese. Each bite tastes a bit dry and powdery & then melts into creamy deliciousness.) Although prices were not cheap, they weren't nearly as outrageous as at many Palm Beach restaurants. Will be returning to Trevini soon. read more

The chicken paillard was inedible. Tough and tasteless. The salmon and macaroni was over salted and presented like goop. It was a carry out order. I. called to let the manager know how disappointed we were and was told that he was not in. I asked the lady on the phone to please have him return my call. He has not called me. We had guests from out of town and wanted a night to remember. Food was "meh". We ordered the specials per the waiter and with the exception of the white truffle pasta it was all mediocre. The beet and goat cheese salad was less than impressive. It had a slice of packaged goat cheese on top with some wafer thin slices of beets. It was sad at best. Our guest had the beef special and was just not impressed. Meat was over cooked with a yellow "rice". With the reputation and the price point I had high hopes of an exquisite dining experience. Social distancing policies were appalling, and I was uncomfortable the whole meal. They crammed people into close quarters. I didn't see any layout changes or capacity adjustments. They were still using paper menus. It seemed like they had taken no precautions other than making waiters wear masks. The only reason - I gave a one star rating related to the belligerence and patronization of the manager - George when he was questioned on adding an extra charge to replace a vegetable. He is too young and green to know how to manage a restaurant when faced with a situation. Requested to replace a vegetable with another due to allergies and was charged $12 - the amount isn't the principle. How he handled it was enough to make me never want to come back unless he is gone. So I call up and make a reservation 2 days before. "It's my wife's birthday and I'd like a nice table"......"of course" ...they say. I arrive on the day and a young, little brat at the door says we have nothing inside....would you like to be seated outside. I go....fine. We get to the terrace and now she wants to put me around the corner in Siberia. Now here is where I lose it. I go..."wait a minute". And she goes....I DONT WANT TO DISCUSS IT"...and walks away. I come here whenever I'm in PB and always enjoy it. This is an upscale restaurant in every regard. You come here for great atmosphere and quality service. The food is not unforgettable but it's certainly above average. Prices are high, but this is Palm Beach! Not a complaint, just a heads up. We had a confirmed reservation for an inside table at Trevini for 4 on 8/6/22 at 6:45. Arrived at 6:35 and were told by owner Gianni Minervini that they could only seat us outside - temps were over 90. When we explained due to our health we had asked for and were confirmed for inside seating. Mr Minervini turned away and said as he was walking away "If you want inside table seating you have to come at 5 or 5:30." But Trevini confirmed our inside reservation .. ....he was no longer within earshot. Diners be careful! If a restaurant like Trevini does not honor confirmed reservations can you trust them to be more dedicated to the quality of their food? read more

We had a reservation last Saturday at Trevini. we have been there several times with friends who are regulars there. if they know you they treat you well if they don't know you they treat you like crap, ignore you. they don't tell you the specials and they give you the worst table in the place. We sat outside. It was cold out, they had plenty of outdoor heaters but didnt set them up. The management here needs to get their act together and treat everyone well! Not just the guys in the green blazers and pink pants! The food is a 7-8. The service is a 2. They are moving. My advice leave the bad attitude behind!! read more

Trevini rivals Renato's for some of the best Italian food on Palm Beach Island. Set next to a charming outdoor courtyard, this cozy Italian restaurant is one of our go-to's. Just last night, the courtyard was packed with post-holiday diners enjoying the live entertainment and even breaking into applause on occasion. For food, my parents both started with a crab salad appetizer which was VERY fresh and generous with the crab. I had the chopped salad with goat cheese and fig vinaigrette which was tasty. For dinner, I had the Tortellini Con Panna, Pancetta e Piselli which was divine. Best pasta dish I've ever had at Trevini. For dessert, we tried the Ricotta cheesecake which was decent-- I think I prefer NY Style cheesecake personally. Staff is warm and welcoming, good mixed drinks and Italian wine selection. Trevini reservation for five of us at 4:30 pm for happy hour at bar and then full dinner menu at a table was the plan . Guess what eight chairs at bar and if you don't have a chair you can't order happy hour ! Ok had drinks bar staff was pleasant after a cocktail we're seated for dinner and our waiter was pleasant we order appetizers and dinner so far all good. The appetizers were enjoyable and then dinner comes and everyone was enjoying their meal my wife and I ordered Chilean Sea Bass My Wife's was Chilean Sea Bass flakey pieces just like Chilean Sea Bass should be. My Chilean Sea Bass (I've eaten this fish many times) was not flakey oily pieces like my wife's mine was grouper texture and not oily flakey at all. I've fished my whole life and eat at restaurants frequently and know Chilean Sea Bass look and texture. I tell waiter this is not what I ordered "clearly"was a different fish dish from my wife's The floor manager comes over and says it's Chilean Sea Bass you want to see the invoice! Wow very aggressive tone I ask his name "I'm not telling you" I ask again "I'm not telling you" Ok my name is John L his reply "I don't care what your name is". I asked the waiter what the rude mans name is and says his name is George. George was obnoxious as anyone I've every come across in the restaurant business. I can tell you this George our reservation with guest for this Saturday will be canceled and I promise I will tell my experience to everyone I know on Palm Beach which is my home. This restaurant has a pencil and paper system for reservations and highly incapable women frantically trying to manage that system. In addition, the new location has more tables than the kitchen can properly handle. If you elect to try to eat here, prepare for a 3 hour meal with bad service. Trevini probably won't make it to 2021. There are many better restaurants in Palm Beach - La Viola, Buccan, PB Grill, Limoncello, Jean Pierre, basically anywhere else. read more

We had a reservation and we arrived 10 minutes prior to the reservation. We were told that our table would be ready in a few minutes. We saw two tables that were being set up. There was no one else waiting behind us. Just as we prepared to be seated the Maitre D saw two groups that he obviously knew and he seated them at both tables. He did this again 10 minutes later. Then we were actually seated at a 4th table and he told us to get up he had already committed someone else to that table. He was the most rude individual I had ever come into contact with at a restaurant in Palm Beach and I have been to virtually every restaurant in Palm Beach in the last 15 years. We finally got seated 35 minutes after we arrived. Then the waiter came to our table and gave us three menu's and left and he never told us about any specials. Finally a server came and took our order. After dinner I had to almost yell to the server for a dessert menu and he never came back to see if we wanted dessert, by then I had had enough. If you are not a regular to this place good luck. This place is also way over priced and the food was fair at best. read more

The 2. stars are for the lovely courtyard only. Strachtella soup was so salty I returned it. Like it had been cooled and reheated over and over. Veal valdestana was like a bad catering hall meal.. I ordered the pasta special with shellfish in champagne sauce. The linguine was absolute mush. There was no flavor at all. The lobster claws were like rubber.....what a shame. We had to ask numerous times to replace silverware that had been cleared between courses. Never a follow up to see if we were happy with our meal. I would not come here again if it were free. If the bar staff tonight was the best this restaurant / management can offer, they deserve only 1 star and we'll dine elsewhere. Being at the front bar of a restaurant on Palm Beach is a privilege to those who actually deserve and have a personality. Patrons recognize great service and should tip generously. The two who worked Mother's Day evening need to work their way up from the bar of a bustling local pub and graduate to a spot like this. Handing it to them with their poor quality of service is a detriment to Trevini's. If it's a choice of having to tolerate their attitude or dining at the bar again, we'll take our business elsewhere. Bartenders are a dime a dozen. GREAT bartenders are worth the investment and deserve to be generously compensated. A pity that management doesn't recognize that a great bar team will increase receipts. If he had only asked my husband if he wanted another cocktail, our tab would've been higher. Imagine how many times that happens. to make things worse, I ordered Osso Bucco and requested to take the bone home for my dogs.
