Ick! My horchata cold brew and my husband's hot coffee were immediately trashed after our 2 sip-attempts. What a waste of $$. Cold brew should not be bitter, nor watered-down which it was both. The "horchata" flavoring was completely lacking - I saw cinnamon powder but zero flavor. Not sure how locals enjoy or rate it "best of 2022" - but I beg to differ. With all the wonderful coffee shops we have in Las Vegas and Henderson, NV I'm sure we're spoiled by the quality. True disappointment. read more

Wow! Ok, so when it comes to coffee shops there are no shortage of places to go especially in this town (I mean San Diego). And to be fair, there are a lot of really great places to go! But if you want really great coffee, great atmosphere and some really cool t-shirts, you must give this place a try! They literally have the best nitro cold brew I've ever had! And the selection of nitro cold brews they had on tap was amazing! I got their house special which was delicious! Don't have plans on making a trip to San Diego? Don't worry! You can order directly from them! But if you ever find yourself in San Diego, and you really like coffee, this place is worth the drive into Coronado Island! I even bought a t-shirt! This is The best coffee I've ever had. I've been drinking coffee for years and can be a little bit of coffee snob sometimes. The moment I tasted their "Daily Rations" on my tongue, I could easily say that is The Finest cold brew I've had. It's very aromatic and exudes a strong bourbon smell, also very smooth and gentle on your tongue with a little creamy texture. You cannot get any better than amazing coffee that is a healthy alternative to the sugar laden stuff pumped out by the national giant! Keto friendly (for those into that), cold brew, or hot, black, or with alternative add ins (MCT oils etc). You can get a healthy kick without the sugar crash to keep you going all day. I'm omnivorous, I'll eat anything not nailed down; and have eaten from the street vendors in every country I've visited (gotta keep the immune system STRONG by attacking it...) The keto friendly and mostly vegan bakery items were enticing and looked amazing I didn't try any but watched a few folks buy to try and commented to the staff they were amazing... You cannot go wrong supporting Trident Coffee, amazing coffee, Local, Veteran owned, community involved. Visited for the first time this morning after reading reviews about Trident's cold brews. While the cold brew was fantastic, I was more impressed by the employee that assisted me and my partner. Yesenia was attentive, friendly, and offered impeccable service. She knew the products, recommended what to get, and even followed up after to make sure we're satisfied. Meet the Business Owner: Eric J.

Serving as a Naval Officer, Eric Johnson started brewing his own cold brew coffee during his final tour of duty in Iraq. He noticed how coffee and tea act as a bridge between cultural differences. All of the chaos of conflict would pause between him and village elders for a brief moment while enjoying a nice cup of coffee or tea together. Two cultures born a world apart were communicating on so many levels without saying a word- that was it! Eric had found his calling and thus set out to create Trident Coffee Roasters.

Unfortunately, our most recent visit was one of the strangest and most disappointing restaurant experiences we have had in a long time. We brought a guest visiting from out of town and were honestly embarrassed by how poor the experience was from start to finish. The restaurant was only about one quarter full on a weekday evening, yet service was shockingly slow and disorganized. It started with our server fumbling through reservation lists trying to find our name, then acting annoyed when we ordered specific cocktails. At one point, he even asked if we were "old enough to drink," which came off as rude and bizarre. The first round of drinks took around 20 minutes and arrived poorly made. We then waited another 40 minutes just to place entree orders, despite barely seeing our server after appetizers arrived. Ordering a second round somehow went even worse. The server rolled his eyes, made annoyed noises, and acted inconvenienced that we were ordering more drinks at a restaurant charging premium prices. One drink, a dirty martini, took about 30 minutes and arrived with a greasy film on top from bleu cheese olives sitting in it far too long. We asked for a manager, who apologized but then asked whether we wanted sweet or dry vermouth in a dirty martini, which did not inspire much confidence. The remake came back not dirty at all and had to be remade again. After nearly two hours, our entrees finally arrived. The plates were dropped on the table without a word. The chicken and fish were passable, but the sides were awful. Cold, lifeless, and completely forgettable. The broccolini was especially bad. We complained again, and the manager offered to comp the bill. Even then, it took another long wait just to close out. I eventually handed the server $100 cash because we simply wanted to leave and still tip something despite the experience. He then shoved the check open in my face and said, "There's your bill." What made this so disappointing is that we used to love this place. It was somewhere we proudly brought visitors. Instead, we left apologizing to our guest for how uncomfortable and confusing the entire night was. We do not care about free food or comps. We care about receiving a decent dining experience at a restaurant charging $30 cocktails and premium entree prices. Serea has declined dramatically, and management needs to take a hard look at both service standards and overall execution. Do better.
