Okay I loved Trilogy. It has a homemade feel to its food, which is so needed. I didn't feel like I ate super unhealthy "outside" food. Especially given I was on a trip and was eating out for every meal, I usually end up not feeling great from excessive restaurant good, but Trilogy is somewhere I could eat for every meal and not feel bad about it. I enjoyed my food on the rooftop patio. The weather was lovely. On the edges, there is a nice view. Service was great. Literally nothing negative to say. This is a must visit for me as a vegan, highly recommend! The menu is huge so I can't wait to go back and try more.

My friends and I used ClassPass to try aerial yoga for the first time at Trilogy Sanctuary and honestly it exceeded all expectations. The rooftop location is super cool, open air with beautiful California sunshine and gorgeous views stretching all the way out to La Jolla beach. The colorful hanging fabrics give the whole space such a fun and vibrant energy. Our instructor was amazing, super patient and attentive with each of us to make sure we were doing the poses safely and correctly. I honestly surprised myself with how flexible I still am! The class gave us a really deep stretch and left me feeling relaxed and refreshed in a way I wasn't expecting. The space also has a big yoga dome right next door and a restaurant serving up a great selection of healthy food, which is a nice bonus before or after class. Just a couple things to keep in mind: parking can get tricky so give yourself extra time, and spots in the class fill up fast so make sure to book ahead. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a workout that's fun, unique and actually feels good for your body!

I've visited this place a few times while on vacation, and overall it has left a really positive impression on me each time. Ive been going here for years since I vacation to San Diego often. The food is absolutely excellent. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients--everything feels thoughtfully prepared with organic ingredients, refined sugar-free options, minimal oil, and clean cooking methods. It's the kind of place where you finish a meal feeling satisfied and energized rather than overly stuffed, which I really appreciate. Some of my favorite items have been the pancakes, the falafels, and the tacos. Every dish I've tried has been delicious, fresh, and clearly made with care. I will say that I'm pretty sure I've had a similar customer service experience with the same employee on more than one visit. The service felt a bit off or unfriendly, and the wait can sometimes be longer than expected. That said, it hasn't ruined the experience for me. The beautiful setup, relaxing atmosphere, and great views still make it a place I enjoy visiting. To me, the quality of the food makes the wait worthwhile. When a restaurant prioritizes high-quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation, it shows--and this place definitely delivers on that. I also believe experiences go both ways. Sometimes staff may be having a difficult day just like customers can. I hope the business continues to grow, takes feedback into account, and supports their team so the service can match the incredible food. Overall, this is still a great spot that I'd recommend. I truly hope places like this continue to stay in business because the focus on clean, high-quality food is something we need more of. Especially being began and having food allergies it is hard to find establishments that offer food. One place in OC was very similar and starting serving eggs and meat-now Im no longer able to enjoy that place but would still highly recommend it. And I wouldn't want a vegan restaurant to not be supported enough so more of them can stay vegan and thrive

As a vegetarian, I'm surprised it took me this long to discover this place. Beyond the food, they also offer a wide variety of classes, though I haven't tried any yet. There are a few indoor tables, but the rooftop outdoor seating is the real highlight, it offers stunning views and is absolutely beautiful. It took me a while to choose what to order because everything looked so tempting. I ended up getting the Sunset Tacos, which were fantastic, though a bit pricey for the portion size. I really love the concept of this place and hope they consider increasing the portions to better match the pricing.

This review is for their aerial yoga only as I did not try their food. I've been meaning to try Aerial yoga for a while, so I was excited to see that Trilogy was on ClassPass. Their classes fill up quick, especially during more desirable times, but I was able to snag a spot recently. Parking is street parking, which can be difficult when La Jolla Cove gets busy. I found a spot and went up to their rooftop, where the yoga would take place. Their roof is gorgeous, so much greenery and an expansive ocean view. I think the one thing that threw me a bit was the fact that the aerial yoga space was open air. While there were canopies. We were directly next to/amidst the outdoor cafe seating. Comfort levels vary, but it's not something I personally liked. The class itself was awesome. Me and another woman were new to aerial yoga and the instructor did a good job guiding us through the more intimidating moves. I found myself flipping, inverting, and holding positions in a hammock I did not think were possible. It was a challenge, but a good one. At the end of class, I really hoped to try something from their cafe, as it all smelled amazing. Unfortunately, I learned that being upside down extensively makes me a bit nauseous, so I had to pass on food for a while. I would love to come back to try their cafe offerings!

We've been coming to Trilogy for over ten years and have so much affection for this place. The rustic décor, rooftop setting, and relaxed La Jolla vibe make it feel like a little sanctuary. The yoga and aerial silks add a uniquely magical touch, and the adjacent gift shop is always fun to browse--full of beautiful, interesting finds. On our most recent visit, my son and I ordered four items and found a lovely outdoor table with just the right mix of sun and shade. We appreciated the self-serve water in reusable cups (a win for sustainability), and service time was reasonable. My son ordered the macaroni and cheese, which was reliably creamy and comforting, and the Brussels sprouts. While the sprouts were a bit underwhelming visually, he said they were flavorful and enjoyable. My experience, unfortunately, was more mixed. I ordered the Harvest Bowl and the Acai Bowl, and both missed the mark for me. The Harvest Bowl felt one-note in presentation and flavor--the vegetables appeared overcooked, resulting in a mushy texture with little distinction between components. Given how vibrant and exciting seasonal produce can be, especially at this price point, this was disappointing. The Acai Bowl also fell short for its cost. It arrived very soft and quickly became soupy, which made it feel rushed to eat rather than enjoyable. With a nearly $100 total for four items at lunch, we do expect top-quality ingredients and careful execution. That said, we're leaving this review with genuine affection and hope. Trilogy has been a beloved gem for us for years, and we want to see it thrive and return to the quality it was once known for. We're not price-sensitive diners--we're value- and quality-sensitive--and we know what Trilogy is capable of. With a renewed focus on ingredient quality and execution, this place could easily earn five stars again. We'll continue to root for it and look forward to brighter visits ahead.

    Enticing Eggplant entree
    L L.

Sunday night dinner after yoga on the rooftop with an ocean view. Ordered the first top menu item under main entrees: Exceptional Eggplant dish which came with two pieces of eggplant rolled and filled with sautéed mushrooms, well seasoned and flavorful topped with a tiny taste of melted cashew cheese served with a side of mashed squash or sweet potatoes and a huge pile of broccoli. Portion was very filling and delicious. I recommend and I order again. I also ordered a hot Matcha latte with almond milk, which definitely came hot. It was a bit grassy and unsweetened for flavored Matcha. I added a couple of shakes of cinnamon and a tiny bit of agave for sweetness at the self serve station to bring up to my taste standard. Good but a bit pricey at over $30 but it is in line with other local restaurants in LJ. Service coverage in a bit better I was seated near a UCSD graduation party where in a woman was celebrating achieving her PhD they kept coming out and telling her they were out of her first choice to pick alternates this happened several times and then they offered her final choice which she accepted, but they told her there was an up charge. I think given that they were out of her first two choices on her special occasion they should've comped her a free dinner, especially since she was with party of over seven and they would already made money off the other diners. I felt bad for her. It must've been frustrating with a special occasion not getting exactly what you want and then settling for something secondary, and they had the nerve to upcharge her. Customer service could've been better. If I were managing the café, I would have done things to make her special event look at feel special by 1)put a blanket down as a tablecloth or a cloth tablecloth reserved for occasions like this and then 2) add a candle in the middle of the table or battery operated electric candles for a nice candlelight, 3) turn on the overhead string of lights since it was after 6 o'clock and close to sunset. When I was in line to order food,, I saw two small vases of purple flowers on an inside table near the window with no one around seemingly going to waste, so I pulled them off the table, walked them out to the patio put them down in the middle of the Graduate's table and told her " I saw these inside and thought you should have them on your able to make your experience more special. Congratulations and enjoy". This is the kind of quality customer service the Cafe staff should be providing, especially for a special event. If I were the manager, I would've also offered to take a group picture of them dining at the table with all their dishes in front of them, and then standing up with the ocean as the backdrop.

    Pb cup!

We were delighted to find a vegan place and they had some raw options too! They make organic raw juices and smoothies, coffee and really creative food too- like using cauliflower in place of eggs with cashew cheese! We enjoyed the breakfast burrito, the pesto was so flavorful! The quinoa wrap was divine! We also had the detox green juice plus a shot with lemon/ginger/cayenne. The pb cup is the Size of a muffin and we also had a chocolate chip muffin. It was way too much food, but leftovers were great later in the day. Prices are to be expected with this quality of food. We also ordered the huevos rancheros which were delicious and topped with dry apples. The food came in a reasonable amount of time and the cashier was knowledgeable and friendly. The rooftop dining was beautiful with the Ariel yoga swings, plants and murals all over- you felt the rising above the busy city vibe and enjoyed the comfy couches to relax and eat! When we come to town again we will come for sure! There's also yoga and a boutique up there.

I love this center! What a beautiful studio. I went here with my girlfriends, and we had an amazing first experience taking the Aerial Yoga 1 class in the Sky Deck section. Jessica, our instructor, was patient and informative, making sure we all did each pose safely. I'll definitely be back to eat at their cafe and experience more classes.

The food is SO tasty and fresh! The staff are really nice and attentive. It's all plant food so it supports gut health. I love this place. Come here to relax and enjoy great food. I drove 40 minutes to come here.

Got the superfood açaí and it was sooooooo yummy!!! The next day, we got the chocolate acai and it was even better! Next time, I'd try their tacos! They're huge and look GREAT!! Great views from the patio too!

    Plant Power Bowl

We came here for breakfast before our kayak tour of La Jolla. I loved the power bowl it was my first time trying black bean tempeh. The burger was delicious as well but definitely a little more oily so if that's not your thing I would recommend the power bowl. I also had a chocolate muffin which was delicious and the magic matcha smoothie was amazing.

    Miso Bowl
    Katherine K.

Beautiful space that looks like it has some fun and unique events that I hope to attend in the future. Staff was very friendly and patient as we figured out what we wanted to try. We started with the Avocado Bruschetta, which was delicious! Only complaint would be that there were too many tomatoes on it, but it was easy to take off. Foodwise, my guy got the Plant Power Bowl (was not actually a bowl. Tempeh was dry and did not taste great. Overall, nothing special) and I got the Miso Bowl (they forgot to put the dressing on the side, but the flavor overall was great! I would definitely get this again). Lastly, we tried their Decadence dessert (really good the first few bites, but got old very quickly. Also, very pricey for what you get). While I enjoyed most of the food, it is on the expensive side and these flavors are the kind that would get old very quickly. I could see myself getting very bored of their selection very quickly, which is not a good thing. Seems like their food is hit or miss on flavor as well.

Their Ocean Beach location is nice too, but really sets this one apart is its outdoor deck. I've always believed yoga is exponentially better when it's outdoors, and the vibes of this outdoor deck are immaculate. I love practicing in the shade under the coverings, among lots of plants and nice classmates (everyone I've encountered here is lovely). Every class I've been to here, from vinyasa to slow flow to hatha, has been basically perfect. Also, parking isn't too bad, and I love Bird Rock. My favorite thing is stopping by Calumet Park before or after class, since it's only a couple blocks away and offers a killer ocean view. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or you've never tried yoga before, I would definitely recommend checking out Riffs! It's both accessible for beginners and authentic for those who are more into yoga.

They always have it decorated with seasonal items and it's so pretty. I really enjoy the instructors. Today was Asia and she always teaches such an engaging flow. I also enjoy the classes with the live music. What I'm not a big fan of is the wellness area they have set up behind the studio in the grassy area adjacent to the yoga deck. They do cold plunge out there during the class and to be honest, I find it distracting. During today's class there was someone in the cold plunge in the beginning, fortunately that person was very quiet, but I was aware that they were back there. There have been other times when I was there when there were people in the cold plunge and they were laughing and talking while the class was going on. I get it that the studio is in the heart of Bird Rock that there is other noise from the street, from the taco shop next-door, etc. But to have the distraction in the space you are practicing in is not ideal. When I checked in at the front, the girl who had me sign the waiver asked me if I was aware that they had a wellness area behind the studio. I told her yes, and that I was not a big fan of it. She told me that they are brainstorming ways to separate that area from the front of the studio more efficiently. Hopefully they come up with some solutions!

If you've ever dragged yourself out of a warm bed at 5:45am, looked in the mirror, and thought "today's the day I stop being a before picture" -- these trainers will meet you there. And that's the honest truth. The training at Fitstop La Jolla is the real deal. Classes start on time. They're efficient. The energy's positive. Nobody makes you feel like a sack of laundry for not deadlifting a Buick. The trainers are the whole reason this place works -- encouraging, locked in, they meet you exactly where you are. A few of them are flat-out spectacular. They pay attention. They actually care. As a guy showing up to 6am classes trying to turn things around and start crushing life, I felt supported every single morning. No notes. That part earned five stars. Couple small things, and I'm barely complaining. The music gets... lyrically adventurous. If you've ever done burpees at 6:15am while a grown man on the speakers describes things you wouldn't want said about your daughter -- you might train at Fitstop. But hey, they want it edgy. Who cares. Not my hill to die on. Here's my hill. I tried to leave. And here's the kicker -- I did it right. I gave the exact 28-day written notice their own contract spells out, in writing, by the book. You'd think that'd be the easy part. You'd be wrong. Instead of "got it, here's your last day," I got the runaround. By my read they're billing me nearly a month past what their own contract says I owe -- a 28-day notice somehow turned into a final date that doesn't line up with 28 days from anything. And when I pointed out the math, the answer was basically "no discrepancy," with no real explanation of how the dates work. Upton Sinclair said it best: it's hard to get a man to understand something when his salary depends on not understanding it. And let me be real clear, because this is the part that matters. This is NOT a "read the fine print" review. I read the fine print. I followed the fine print. The problem isn't the fine print -- the problem is they don't honor what's in it. If you've ever followed a contract to the letter and watched a company wave off the math with "no discrepancy" -- you might be cancelling a Fitstop membership. And that's the shame of it. I liked these people. The fitness side deserved a way better review than this. But it doesn't matter how good you feel at 6am if you walk out the door at the end feeling like you got worked over. You can build all that goodwill at sunrise and torch it at the billing desk. Honor your own contract and this is easily four stars. Great trainers. Just know that when it's time to leave, that's where the workout really starts.
