    Breakfast burrito with bacon

Walked 5 mins from my airport hotel to grab a breakfast burrito before work! Lovely staff and the burrito was amazing. Will be back every time I have an LAX layover!

Got a healthy, fresh breakfast burrito for $7.45. Hotel would've charge me $15. Barely had to wait. Really friendly and fast service.

If you want a deli that has a plentiful assortment of good food, is clean, and reasonably priced,... look no further. We were traveling through the area and gave them a try. We're glad we did.

    Roast beef sandwich and coleslaw

Friendly service. Ordered deli sandwich: roast beef on sourdough bread, and coleslaw ... or green salad or pasta salads were other choices. I ate my lunch at the place.... And then remembered to take a photo.... Anyway, most people seem regulars with take out lunch for them.

Simple place with very delicious food with plenty of healthy options to choose from. Staff is really kind, service is good. Many people come for takeout orders. Definitely our favorite place to easy. Great atmosphere outside. Highly recommending this place.

    Omelet on a pita
    Robert R.

Very friendly people and quite a large selection. The breakfast menu has several sandwiches and egg plates. Everything sounded good, so I went with one of the pictures that looked most enticing. While I waited, I was told to grab my coffee from the self-serve beverage area. The omelete on pita was light and filling. The avocado was fresh and creamy and the eggs were light and fluffy. There is also a large selection for lunch as well as grab and go items and drinks.

Everything bagel w/ egg, cheese and tomato. Dark roast coffee.

Nice quick breakfast and sandwich spot if you want to avoid exorbitant hotel prices. Easily walkable from many of the hotels near LAX. The shop is clean the staff are very friendly. The food was tasty and prepared quickly. Would recommend for grab and go.

Beef Teriyaki Bowl & Strawberry Kiwi Water

This place is great for a quick bite! They have everything from breakfast burritos to chicken noodle soup for a good price. Staff is always very welcoming and friendly which adds the cherry on top of the great vibe. Service is quick and served with a smile. On my last visit I ordered the Beef Teriyaki and it was brought over to my table within minutes. I also had the Strawberry Kiwi water, both of which were a 10/10.

Teriyaki Beef Nice and Hot! This place has nicer workers than other cafes/restaurants around this small hotel strip near LAX

Nice workers. Food was hot and fresh. Price wasn't outrageously high like Original Rinaldi's down the street. Enough seating for many people.

This plus two coffees and a Snapple was $22!

Fantastic place to get a decent and very reasonably priced breakfast! If you are staying in a nearby hotel, walk over and grab some coffee and a breakfast sandwich, skip that overpriced hotel restaurant fare! If you are a coffee snob there is a Starbucks next door!

The flavor of each component perfectly balances each other out like the slight sweetness from the coleslaw contrasting against the salty and savory tender pastrami that melts in your mouth. They even have a parking lot down the street designated for Langer's customers where you get a ticket and then get it validated inside for free parking. Brent's Deli is an institution in the San Fernando Valley, and it may just be its best. One thing…read morefor sure, the portions are generally humongous so you will never leave hungry. Nothing succeeds like excess. In fact, most people will need a take out box for one less meal to cook. Delicatessen means delicate eating in German, but at a Jewish American Delicatessen, the emphasis is on the Eating, which I am not complaining. 1) I requested an off menu item of having a Reuben sandwich where half is Corned Beef and the other Pastrami. Brent's Reuben has warm Sauerkraut, grilled Rye bread, melted Swiss Cheese, 1,000 Island dressing. Thinly sliced, multi-layered Mound of Pastrami is a bit on the dry side. Curing doesn't create a deep meaty Umami and spicing is present but attenuated. The Corned Beef is moister with bit more Umami & plush, thin multi-layered red colored meat. I have to say the Pastrami at Langer's is cured more intensely to bring out a deep Umami as well as more complex and complementary spicing of especially warm spiced cloves that adds aromatic richness. Brent's Pastrami doesn't seem to reach that kind of apotheosis. 1b) I asked for the steak fries to be fried two minutes longer for a crisper finish which was honored. Not much in way of that distinctive potato earthiness, but acceptable. 1c) Coleslaw is mayonnaise based, watery, bland, but a good cruciferous, fibrous veggie to add more fibre, healthful phytochemicals to counter the meat overload even though it isn't flavourful 2) Carrot Cake is closer to a delicate, dense, moist spice cake. A slice is enormous since it is cut from an extra tall cake studded with crushed walnuts and a cream cheese like not too sweet frosting. At $14 it could feed 4 people. Service is fine. They take your order and run with it. Bit of tunnel vision where it may be a bit hard to flag them down. But the job does get done. Overall 3+ stars

I ordered the pastrami sandwich, and wow... it was honestly one of the best pastrami sandwiches I've ever had. The meat was tender, flavorful, and perfectly piled onto fresh bread. Every bite was worth it! The pastrami was incredible, and now I definitely have to come back and try the famous French dip. Even with how busy it was, the line moved quickly and the staff kept everything running efficiently. Ordering was fast and easy. This place is full of history and charm. I stopped in just before the lunch rush--a good strategy, especially on a Dodgers game day--and everything clicked from the moment I walked in. The first thing that caught my eye was Elizabeth carving lamb right off the bone and building my French Dip sandwich in front of me. That's not theater; that's the way they've done it for years, and I loved every minute of it. The lamb dip was outstanding, just as I remembered. Add a crisp pickle, a side of coleslaw, and a Miller Genuine Draft, and you've got a lunch that doesn't need any fancy introductions. The sawdust on the floor may be gone, but the personality certainly isn't. Philippe's still feels like old Los Angeles. People share tables, strike up conversations, and enjoy a meal without anyone rushing them out the door. Then there's something you almost never find downtown anymore--free parking. That's worth mentioning all by itself. Could I explain why I'm giving Philippe's five stars? I suppose I could. But when you have friendly people like Elizabeth, a fresh lamb dip made right in front of you, reasonable prices, free parking, and more than a century of Los Angeles history, what more could you ask for? You may have seen this review, or a version of it, in one of the local publications I write for. I always pay for my own meals, and my opinions are my own.

Keep in mind they are closed on Monday and Tuesday. While you can order online, I'll always choose to go inside so I can browse everything they have to offer. Their selection of fresh pasta salads is fantastic, and the desserts are always tempting. Whether you're craving lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, a chicken Parmesan sandwich, or one of their many other Italian specialties, you really can't go wrong. My personal favorite is the Godmother sandwich--hands down one of the best you'll ever have.
