I have been here so many times, and never realized it was called Trinity Place. Everyone always called it the Vault Bar. And I like the Vault Bar. The food is better than decent, the happy hour isn't bad at all for such a swanky place, and the bartenders are sweethearts. I was looking for a place to meet my nephew who has an office at City Hall. This place, in my opinion, is perfection. It's got the ambiance, history, cool decor and fabulous food that I rarely find. The service was attentive and low-key. I had the hamburger with no trimmings at all because I am a purest, and wanted to experience the actual meat. The fried potatoes that came with it were unusual and amazing. I did start out with the tuna tartare which was absolutely amazing. The manager treated us with a luscious chocolate cake made from dates instead of sugar. It was wonderful! The ambience and vibe was really neat considering the antiqueness of the the location and the old bank vaults located in the entrance of the restaurant. My family and I were really excited to order because of its 5 star ratings on google. It took almost 45 minutes to receive our entrees, + the waiter/waitress barely come to check in on us. I ate there with a party of four on October 19, 2019. To start off, the location was very difficult to find as it is listed as 115 Broadway. It was dinner time and dark outside. There is no appearance of the restaurant on Broadway. To find it, we had to search and wound up finding it on a dark side street across from a small park around the block. There was no obvious signage to be seen except in the dark, non-lit doorway. The place had a good vibe to it and the steel vault doors were cool. The bathrooms were in bad condition with loose door handles and not that clean. We had three Wagyu burgers which were said to be good. I, unfortunately, ordered the duck confit on risotto. It was really delicious but the experience was ruined by a tiny, midget-looking piece of duck. I asked when I ordered if the portion included the leg and thigh and was told yes. What I received was not only small but half the thigh was missing. In the picture, you can see the thigh bone was cut in half with all it's meat missing. I called the manger over who was kind and agreed it was not a normal portion. She offered me the dish for free which I declined. I countered with a $5 discount which we agreed on. I have included pictures of the restaurant dish as well as duck confit I prepared at home after wanting more. The store-bought version had about twice the meat on it. As many people have said, super cool that it's in an old bank -- trendy underground vibes. We went for lunch when it was a bit tamer and were able to walk in without a wait as long as we didn't care to be seated in the second vault. Food: Lobster Bisque - yummy but a bit too broth-y for me. Still delicious, just not the best I've had. Sage and Butter Ravioli - the flavor is so so good, like lick off the plate good. There are only 3 ravioli on a plate (for $20). I personally would like 4-5 but the flavors are spot on with the lemon and sage and butter. Oh my gosh delicious. Chocolate cake with ice cream - love that it comes out warm and I like the chocolate taste. Texture was a bit under floured. It's like when you try a vegan cake. Can be really good, but something is just a bit off about the texture. Random plus, I really loved the faucets in the bathrooms. They pour the water onto your hands and it just feels luxurious. This is not your regular bar and restaurant! The bar area is live and popping on the weekdays due the Wall Street crowd. Their restaurant is full of delightfully pleasing dishes. Let me start by harping on the appetizers. I tried their smokies - smoked haddock in dubliner cheddar cheese, scallions, cherry tomatoes and a couple of other ingredients makes this dish a winner for the appetizers. The roasted onion tart is in the top ranks also - a mixture of caramelized onions in some especially delicious sauce baked in a pie crust. The onions are not overpowering as the sauce compliments it perfectly. We moved on to the main course. The organic salmon decorated with broccoli rabe and lentils and the house cured duck confit decorated with Parmesan risotto and caramelized butternut squash. Both dishes were heavenly. Dessert: Sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream, warm apple tart with vanilla ice cream and cream brûlée...I would return again and again for the sticky toffee pudding, it's the best dessert on the menu! read more

It was really dark in the semi under street level restaurant. Filled mostly with local business types which is probably good for this neighborhood. The pigs in a blanket were like any other place, but the cheese dipping sauce made it extra special. The chicken skewers...definitely not worth mentioning aside from the fact that they were dry and the bbq sauce wasn't even like sauce. I wish they actually served french fries though. We went here on a Sunday afternoon at 1230 pm. The place is really cool - I love the building and the bank vault doors are really unusual! For a nice place like this, though, they should improve their restrooms. The restroom by the front door was quite shabby. The place has a few interesting beers on its menu, along with several specialty cocktails. We were given a bar menu when we sat down and had picked out a few appetizers to order, only to be told they were only serving brunch so we had to select from a very limited menu. We should have been told that when we sat down! Then the food - it was good, but not great. We had the burrata appetizer which was very good. After that, I found the food needed a bit more seasoning. I had a Kobe burger that was bland, as were the potatoes it was served with. The person I was with enjoyed the French toast, but it wasn't anything too special. Not sure I'll be back. The champagne sangria is extremely sweet, too sweet for my taste, and is by no means your typical sangria. The all day everyday $7 glass of bubbly I enjoyed; that's the best drink deal they have going. The food was rather disappointing all around. Empanadas were on the soggy side although the green sauce that comes with them was pretty tasty. Tandoori chicken skewers were perfectly cooked although the sauce on them was rather bland. The meat in the kobe pigs in a blanket was very tough and I couldn't taste any difference in the meat from a regular hot dog. I did think the pork tacos were delicious. Service was very good.
