After 10 years I decided to try this place again to see if it has gotten better. And I am happy to report that it has. Today I had a combo A with beef. This included their salad roll, spring roll, salad and vermicelli. It is the same owners as 10 years ago but this time I came at noon to try them at lunch and the food was good. Decently priced as well. The ambiance is the same as always. Old school wood panelling on the sides, a bunch of tables and chairs on top of carpeting. It's very basic. I can see now that the menu doesn't line up the English names of the food with the price but with the Vietnamese names. Perhaps 10 years ago that is what happened. Regardless I think Triple Coconut has earned at least a 3 star rating all these years later for their food and decent pricing.

House special in spicy sate soup. It's not spicy and there's no peanut in it. Fair.

Maybe it was the dish I ordered. I did not think it was that great. I had the house special in spicy sate broth. I thought it was a bit diluted and the taste was a bit bland. It was not spicy at all, and it lacked oomph to it. The meat was ok, not that much of it in ratio to the rice noodle. Service was so-so, hard to get their attention once the food was served. You pay at the back of the restaurant, where the cash register was. Cash only I think.

Delicious, affordable and great portion! We came here for dinner at about 7:30 pm. There were a few people here, no need to wait for seats. We ordered the Vietnam Spring Roll, a Rare Beef and Tripe Rice Noodle Soup, and two other noodle soup. The spring roll is very delicious, with crispy surface and perfect match inside! The noodle soup is in a large portion. The meat is pretty fresh and the soup is yummy! Highly recommend to have a try here!

Well done beef and brisket pho

This is definitely one of my to go pho places! The price is reasonably affordable given its large size portions! And the food and service is fast! I have only ever had to wait around 10min to get my order! The staff is friendly and nice. The pho taste quite good! Definitely recommended if you're looking for a quick affordable pho and a quite place.

Yes their opened for takeout! Anyone in the Heights area craving their Vietnamese favorites! Also supporting our local businesses in the area! Nice change to lining up at the grocer store and standing within the lines! They just reopened on Thursday! It seems forever since they've been closed!!! we got our Beef Pho, salad rolls and lemon grass chicken with noodles! Yes that's one large portion of lemon grass chicken!!

    Combo B

I went here with a friend for dinner after we had both run some errands and they suggested this place. They ordered pho while I ordered Combo B (around $11.95), and it was delectable. I ordered grilled pork, which was cooked very well and wasn't tough for me to eat. The Vietnamese spring rolls were very tasty with the sauce (some sort of sesame or peanut sauce), and the prawn and salad with rice noodles were also delicious, especially when you add the clear sauce to it. Vietnamese spring rolls are my favourite and I enjoyed these ones with the nutty sauce as well. The whole combo was very filling, so Combo B isn't for those with a small stomach. The only thing that irked me is that I had to pay cash, but I feel like I got a good price for the amount of food and the quality (the quality was decent I would say). It would be my go-to for Vietnamese food whenever I'm on Hastings.

Large house special with no spicy.

The price is a bit cheaper than most pho places, but the quality is still there. I got the large house special without the spicy this time, but the spicy version is great too. The broth itself is nice and full of flavor, the tripe is nice and bouncy, but not too chewy. The beef balls are tender and easy to bite with great texture, the brisket is very lean, and the rare beef pretty decent. The noodles are nice and thin and easy to slurp, and if you add in the bean sprouts, jalapeno, sauces, and lime, it's just that much better. Highly recommend this place if you want comfy pho, and just a heads up they only take debit and cash.

Indulged with my favorite Bin Bo Wae in the larger bowl (#13 on their menu). A perfect pick me up on this cold rainy Monday early afternoon!

I came here to try their lasagna but wrong day for that, they are serving something else on this day, unfortunately that special of the day is only up to 2;30 and I came almost 3 pm. I ordered ham, cheese, tomato and lettuce sandwich plus the soup of the day bacon chowder, I wanted to try the tuna salad but again its done so the server ended up giving a quinoa salad for free. Busy place considering its covid-19 era so only 4 person inside the store at a time. Few seating inside, the café is very relaxing and for some reason I felt peace and very calm. The only noise you can hear inside were the sounds of returned bottle glasses for milk while people putting them on cases.... Interesting displays and interior designs, since its family owned I can tell that most of the displays in here were things they had when they were kids, nice stuffs very interesting .Those memorabilias made me smile, that feeling a heart truly appreciated. The sandwhich I had was okay, the soup was very good as well, hot and creamy, the quinoa salad is just okay for me its just ordinadry but not bad. Heres come something funny, I placed an order and clearly I wanted a strawberry milkshake, but what was serve was plain milkshake, I believed this was an honest mistake so I did not say anything, it was good though but maybe I ill be best if its strawberry. Wifi is free as well as parking and lots of them no worries. Service is warm and very friendly...kudos guys.... Not bad for group, family and kids. B careful if you are using a GPS coming here, wrong street and turn ....I don't know why?....... I will still come back here and bring some friends.. hope this time I will get the right milkshake.

Menu is not extensive and as it was both our visits, we decided to order the Kkanpunggi Combo for $56 that includes Black Bean Noodle, Chili Seafood Noodle, and Spicy Sweet and Sour Deep Fried Chicken. The chicken arrived first and it was an enormous portion! Chicken was fresh, lightly battered, had good flavour that wasn't overly coated in sauce, and was served with nice tasty taro chips. Black bean noodles was also a good sized and delicious. The chili seafood noodles was also a very generous portion - we ordered it medium spicy but I personally thought it was mild though flavourful. Service was a bit slow, even though we pressed the button a few times. However, tasty food with big portions and reasonable prices is hard to beat these days! $56 for 3 dishes and more than enough leftovers, would definitely return and recommend.
