    Wagyu tri tip

3.75 stars rounded up. Deciding between three & four stars was difficult. One Steakhouse was short staffed when we visited & delays in ordering & receiving dishes drastically prolonged dinner. That, on top of appetizers & sides that didn't make the grade (think: greasy potato gratin, chain-restaurant quality shrimp scampi, & thick-cut bacon that doesn't hold a candle to others we've tried), reduce the likelihood of a return visit. However, One Steakhouse's saving grace are their steaks; heated to 1200°, they develop the most incredible crust. My 6oz Filet Mignon ($58) had the best textural contrast of tender & juicy on the inside with that crisped-up, flavorsome exterior. My bf also enjoyed his order -- Wagyu Tri-Tip, moderately priced at $45 & possessed a distinctive rich wagyu taste, as well as a properly-cooked Lobster Tail for $35. (Sidenote: the tough lobster tail from Golden Steer lives rent-free in his head.) Pros & cons are neck & neck, but ultimately, One Steakhouse came through with steaks & a lobster tail that can compete with our favorite Vegas spots, & for that, they deserve the upgraded rating. Not white-table-cloth fancy, but a nice, dimly-lit place for dinner. And unlike some exorbitant Vegas steakhouses, One leaves you with some gambling money for later.

We came here for a family dinner out and sat at the bar with our favorite bartender, Johnny! Service is always quick and friendly and not too loud, so you can have a conversation with your table. I ordered the baked short rib rigatoni and loved it! It has a nice spicy mild tomato sauce and I like that they added a protein to the dish, short rib was a good choice. It was super flavorful! My boyfriend got the ribeye. It was good but needed more salt and was a bit leaner than what we are used to for a ribeye. Thankfully, the servers brought out some salt and pepper without us asking. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals and I heard the crab legs are really good here. We got to try and share the triple chocolate truffle cake and the banana foster. I unfortunately couldn't get a picture of the banana foster dessert because we took a bite before we took photos, but it was delicious and the group favorite, highly recommend it!

One Steakhouse offers a polished, intimate setting and solid service, but overall it didn't quite live up to the hype--especially compared to other steakhouses around the Strip. My steak (pictured) was nicely presented and cooked well, but the flavors didn't really stand out. While everything was executed properly, nothing felt especially memorable or unique, and the dish didn't quite justify the price point when you compare it to top-tier Vegas steakhouses nearby. Service was professional and attentive, and the atmosphere was pleasant for a quieter night out. Cocktails were decent, though again, nothing that really wowed. Overall, it is perfectly fine if you're staying nearby or want a low-key steakhouse experience, but with so many exceptional options in Las Vegas, this wouldn't be my first choice. Solid, just not standout.

Food was great! came to spend money(: :) our waiter "Bo" was horrible and condescending and for that reason I'll never step foot in here again ....

Just recently started playing Virgin casinos due to the reward card changing for the better...they gave me a 25 dollar food credit with our stay and since we have tried almost all the restaurants, we decided to give this a whirl. Not really feeling steak, we browsed the menu and found some items to our liking. The restaurant itself is very pretty inside, but still a little close to the casino. We were the only ones in there at 5pm so it seemed like a private dining experience...more patrons came in around 6pm. We looked at the wine menu and picked out a bottle of Sauvignon blanc. It was good and matched our choices well. I got the scallops and hub got the Short rib pasta. He had looked at pictures online, and thought this was smaller, but they turned it into an entree now and it was quite big. We also got a side of gnocchi with peppercorn sauce. The scallops were amazing..I wish they had not put the bacon there...it did not need it, and the cauliflower purée they mentioned and hoped for was barely there. Hub liked his pasta a lot...just very big. The gnocchi was good too. I might be back to try a steak when in the mood...like I said...very pretty restaurant. Service was amazing as well.

I would bet I eat here at least 3 times during SEMA. This place is always great. The food is fantastic. What we always do is order our mains and the a bunch of different sides. Never had anything bad at all. The cheesecake for desert is a win. The servers are amazing. Very attentive and always have great suggestions. The seating and all that is great there. Very welcoming feeling as you come in and sit down.

Usually not a fan of anything at the virgin hotels so we were EXTREMELY shocked after eating dinner there 1. Service was AMAZING 2. Ambiance was very nice, well kept, & not overly crowded 3. Food was SURPRISINGLY FANTASTIC Best poke or tuna I've had on the strip!! Hands down!! That one bite prepared me for what was in store the rest of the night. Pork belly with the apples paired well, wasn't overly oily and was a great app. We weren't a huge fan or the fried rock shrimp, but the calamari was good. Loved the presentation on both! Mushrooms & fish were ok. The gnocchi + salad was great Will definitely be back

Some restaurants have an artificial, pretentious vibe. They did a good job of providing a nice atmosphere. Food was pretty good, the staff who brought out the food were nice. Server was poor. I'm not sure why. I don't do or say anything to cause problems. The server wasn't so nice, unfriendly. Gave much better, personable care to the other guests. Ended my meal with the check dropped off at my table half way through my dessert (a first in over 100 meals in Las Vegas), processed the payment and brought back the card/receipt without saying anything at all. I didn't enjoy my experience. I don't understand.

One of the options when you order the tremendous and tantilizing $68 Rib Eye is they offer to bring it to you sliced

Classy restuarant in my FAVORITE HOTEL, The VIRGIN LAS VEGAS. Great atmosphere and STEAKS!! Top of the Line Service, especially at the bar from Professional Bartender John aka "JOD." It's nice to eat a great meal and feel VALUED AS A CUSTOMER. Tell John, "Bobby Sent You." HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

After searching all over Vegas for a steakhouse for my birthday dinner I came across One Steakhouse and I want to say they did not disappoint! The ambiance and vibes were BEAUTIFUL! The service was great! The food and drinks were delicious! The restaurant was very lowkey not too upscale and it wasn't packed at all for it to be 830pm on a Sunday but that was something that I loved the most!

One is conveniently located in the Virgin hotel which made our decision to try this restaurant out a no brainer. The decor, pianist and colorful glass structures, dangling from the ceiling, immediately caught my eye upon entering. The hostess was prompt in her greeting and seating us which was appreciated. After being seated, the waiter brought out the menu and provided us with recommendations. I started with a lychee martini for my drink of choice and we were given complimentary bread rolls. While waiting on our food, we enjoyed listening to the live music and singer. For our entrées, we ordered the Fennel Salmon Crusted Salmon, Brussels Sprouts, and the One Steak Burger. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The lobster butter on the salmon was chef's kiss! I mean.. I'm still thinking about that entrée very delicious. My significant other's burger was nice in size and full of meat! This is a place you should definitely check out. The bar was packed and everyone was enjoying themselves. Tables were filled with guests enjoying good food and great company. Experience it for yourself :)

7/12/24, dinner Friday night with 4 buddies. Amazing first visit here! Moe was a fantastic host for us and the steaks were incredible! To start several of us enjoyed a bowl of their Maine Lobster Bisque. The presentation & serving is really cool and tasted absolutely amazing. The oysters were some of the biggest and best I've had, so good. For dinner I split the 32oz double porterhouse - wow! Cooked perfectly and served sliced off the bone. Only drawback was we missed our buddy, John O'Donnell!

That combination just works. Dessert was rich and decadent, and a great way to end the meal. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with jazz playing in the background without being too loud. Me and my friend came here on a whim because she's from Brooklyn but never went to peter luger in her whole entire life. I've been once back in 2022, food was great and I enjoyed it. I saw an opening and they were offering essentially a 4 course meal for $50. The Power Lunch special or something like that, you pick 3 things and they throw in a nice dessert. It's actually a lot of food for $50 ngl So we got assigned this one server, his name was John, very cool guy, very chill, very attentive and knew his stuff (very knowledgeable guy). So we order, he comes and checks on us every once in awhile, we're eating, food is good, experience overall is 9/10, but once everything comes out, you can watch the video i attached, he was just a very outstanding person overall and is the whole reason I decided to leave this review. I don't wanna say everything because I don't want you to come here expecting the same experience and I don't want to spoil anything, but let's just say both me and my friend thought that he was absolutely the best server we've ever had in our entire life. Bro is actually the most genuine person we've ever met, and you're probably like, HES IN THE SERVICE INDUSTRY THATS HIS JOB TO BE NICE TO YOU, but no, I genuinely disagree. There's nice and chill servers and there's mean servers that'll be rude and just straight up give bad service, and there's this guy, bro is literally an angel from heaven sent down to just have good vibes man. When my friend and I paid for the bill and left, I was genuinely kinda sad because bro was like family to me at this point, but let's just say the story isn't over just yet. When you decide to come here, and you get blessed with John as your server, I'm like 100% sure he'll take care of you unlike any server has ever taken care of you. That basically sums up my experience. some other notes: the ambiance is nice, it has it's own restroom so you don't need to go wandering out of the restaurant looking for a restroom, the bar looks fancy, they probably make good drinks (i just couldn't drink, I had a 4 hour drive ahead of me). The Power Lunch for $50 is from 10:00am-3:30 I believe... and it was so much food, like enough for 2. It costs more if you get the steak, but that's what you're here for!!

The Las Vegas Smith & Wollensky is located in the Venetian Grand Canal Shoppes and is a great looking facility - definitely a classic steakhouse vibe but in a contemporary setting. We had two appetizers, the Angry Shrimp and Confit Bacon and they were excellent. The star of the evening, though, was the Swinging Tomahawk Rib Eye which qualifies as dinner and a show. The service was everything you could want from an elite steakhouse, especially the presentation on the Swinging Tomahawk. The Waygu Tomahawk is a magnificent steak which I think is a steak lover's must-have experience, with the caveat being that it's huge. It was soooo good. I recommend asking for a table along the open window (but not a window) so you can look out onto the canal shops. Our server, Ian, was very welcoming and fun. He gave good recommendations and was attentive. We each started with an appetizer. I had the French onion soup which was delicious. It wasn't too salty or cheesy. It also had yummy bits of braised beef in it. My friends had the split pea soup (no cream) and fritto misto which they seemed to like. We all shared the tomahawk steak and sides of sautéed mushrooms and truffle fries. That steak was incredible and so tender. It was cooked to medium perfection and had charred fat. (See video). It came with the crunchiest roasted potatoes. The best part was the crunch bits on the cutting board. The sides were tasty as well and I forgot to mention the bread served once you're seated. It's super soft and the butter is nicely whipped. For cocktails, I really enjoyed the Off the Rails Old Fashioned which you create via a dice game. That was real fun and the drink packs a nice punch. For dessert we shared a decadent and moist chocolate cake slice which was huge for a slice. Overall it was a great experience.
