There are so many good steakhouses in Las Vegas, unfortunately this isn't one of them. The service and live music were great! That was the highlight. But the food was not worth the money. We ordered the ribeye, scallops, lobster Mac, and bananas foster cheesecake. The ribeye was disappointing. It was tough, somewhat dry, and I needed to add salt on it. For $80, definitely not worth it. The scallops were not fresh. There was a fishy taste to them! I've honestly never had worse scallops. The lobster Mac was ok, but did not stand out. But even then, the lobster itself was not good quality and was also dry. The bananas foster cheesecake was ok, but they put popcorn on top, which was weird and stale, so we just took them off. Wouldn't recommend. There are tons of other steakhouses worth trying and checking out. read more

That, on top of appetizers & sides that didn't make the grade (think: greasy potato gratin, chain-restaurant quality shrimp scampi, & thick-cut bacon that doesn't hold a candle to others we've tried), reduce the likelihood of a return visit. However, One Steakhouse's saving grace are their steaks; heated to 1200°, they develop the most incredible crust. My 6oz Filet Mignon ($58) had the best textural contrast of tender & juicy on the inside with that crisped-up, flavorsome exterior. My bf also enjoyed his order -- Wagyu Tri-Tip, moderately priced at $45 & possessed a distinctive rich wagyu taste, as well as a properly-cooked Lobster Tail for $35. (Sidenote: the tough lobster tail from Golden Steer lives rent-free in his head.) Pros & cons are neck & neck, but ultimately, One Steakhouse came through with steaks & a lobster tail that can compete with our favorite Vegas spots, & for that, they deserve the upgraded rating. We came here for a family dinner out and sat at the bar with our favorite bartender, Johnny! Service is always quick and friendly and not too loud, so you can have a conversation with your table. I ordered the baked short rib rigatoni and loved it! It has a nice spicy mild tomato sauce and I like that they added a protein to the dish, short rib was a good choice. It was super flavorful! My boyfriend got the ribeye. It was good but needed more salt and was a bit leaner than what we are used to for a ribeye. Thankfully, the servers brought out some salt and pepper without us asking. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals and I heard the crab legs are really good here. We got to try and share the triple chocolate truffle cake and the banana foster. Just recently started playing Virgin casinos due to the reward card changing for the better...they gave me a 25 dollar food credit with our stay and since we have tried almost all the restaurants, we decided to give this a whirl. Not really feeling steak, we browsed the menu and found some items to our liking. The restaurant itself is very pretty inside, but still a little close to the casino. We were the only ones in there at 5pm so it seemed like a private dining experience...more patrons came in around 6pm. We looked at the wine menu and picked out a bottle of Sauvignon blanc. It was good and matched our choices well. I got the scallops and hub got the Short rib pasta. He had looked at pictures online, and thought this was smaller, but they turned it into an entree now and it was quite big. We also got a side of gnocchi with peppercorn sauce. The scallops were amazing..I wish they had not put the bacon there...it did not need it, and the cauliflower purée they mentioned and hoped for was barely there. Some restaurants have an artificial, pretentious vibe. They did a good job of providing a nice atmosphere. Food was pretty good, the staff who brought out the food were nice. Server was poor. I'm not sure why. I don't do or say anything to cause problems. The server wasn't so nice, unfriendly. Gave much better, personable care to the other guests. Ended my meal with the check dropped off at my table half way through my dessert (a first in over 100 meals in Las Vegas), processed the payment and brought back the card/receipt without saying anything at all. Our waitress, the receipt says "Mo", but I don't really know because she never introduced herself and we only saw her twice. While waiting on our food, we enjoyed listening to the live music and singer. For our entrées, we ordered the Fennel Salmon Crusted Salmon, Brussels Sprouts, and the One Steak Burger. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The lobster butter on the salmon was chef's kiss! I mean.. I'm still thinking about that entrée very delicious. To start several of us enjoyed a bowl of their Maine Lobster Bisque. The presentation & serving is really cool and tasted absolutely amazing. My husband took me here for our 5 year wedding anniversary and it was a lovely experience. We were sat in a corner booth in the back room which definitely made it feel more romantic. I really loved the ambiance with dark walls, low lighting, and quirky art. We each had 2 alcoholic beverages. 3 cocktails & a glass of wine; all of which was delicious and priced a little more reasonably than steakhouses on the strip. For food, we started out with the heirloom tomato & burrata salad. Not only was this enjoyable to eat, but we appreciated that they split the salad onto 2 separate plates for easier eating; the portion size was also fairly large. For our entrée we shared the Double Porterhouse with Yukon mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts as our sides. The porterhouse was so flavorful and tender and the Yukon mashed potatoes are some of the best we've had. We then ended with the vanilla créme brûlée which was subtle in sweetness which we appreciated. Everything truly tasted so wonderful. I'd give this experience 5 stars, but the service was just okay. Our waiter started off fantastically, but towards the end he wasn't as friendly or attentive (not sure if something happened in the kitchen or with another table, but it was odd his demeanor kind of changed). Also, although it is never ever expected, this is the first steakhouse & nice restaurant we've been to in Las Vegas that did not acknowledge our anniversary. We go to a different steakhouse every year for our anniversary and celebrate birthdays & other occasions at higher end restaurants throughout the valley each year and each place always helps us celebrate with a complimentary champagne toast or dessert. Didn't have to wait very long to be seated. The restaurant looks amazing. I would rate it on the high end scale. Great for a fancy dinner while on vacation. You can still hear and see the casino floor from most of the restaurant. Got my meal I had the bone in rib-eye. It was cooked to order. I always like my steak medium and it was made with the seared outside and pink center. For my side I had the Brussel sprout. They had a sweat soy glaze on them for a savory flavor. Usually I don't like TVs in fine dining restaurants. I made an exception last night for One because I wanted to watch what turned out to be the final game in the Stanley Cup series. A server brought me the iced tea i asked for and then took my order. I went with the classic onion soup, steak frites, and triple choclate truffle cake. I was first brought a container of rolls and some soft butter. Shortly, the onion soup came. It was excellent. The broth was strong and it had the classic French bread covered with gruyere cheese. It was difficult to eat as you almost need scissors to cut the strings of cheese. Then came the steak frites. It's a 10 ounce hanger steak with shoestring fries, and a wonderful peppercorn brandy reduction. I generally like my steak plaimn, but this sauce was really a good topping for the steak. There was no choice for dessert and my server asked if I wanted it. I asked for a few minutes wait as I was into the hockey game and I wanted more space between courses. When it was brought, it was chocolate heaven. It's a soft truffle top with a chocolate cake below. On top there are some thin pieces of chocolate and fresh strawberries. It was an excellent way to end dinner. Close to the Harmon parking garage entrance at the Ruby Tower, it;'s very convenient. I'm glad I made this choice. read more

We go to Vegas at least once a year and every time we try a new steakhouse. I have been to a lot in Vegas and pretty much all the top rated ones. Not to mention the numerous steakhouses outside of Vegas. Me and wife shred the porterhouse for two and got a side of mushrooms. We all kind of get a side and do family style so I also tried the au gratin potatoes and the asparagus. The steak was cooked perfectly. We killed it. 9 out of 10. Asparagus and potatoes were also great. The mushrooms were good but different and not what I expected. The whole group agreed the food was great and all would go back. The price was about middle of the road and I felt reasonable for what you got. We also got the banana fosters cheesecake which everyone loved even me and I don't usually like cheesecake. On to the main course, the Filet Mignon (which was good not great), with mashed potatoes and charred broccolini on the side, which were out of this world. Then, we decided what the heck, blew the diet, let's just go ahead and get dessert.... which was the Triple Chocolate Truffle Cake, dear Lord, I think we would go back just for that. Our server was very nice and accommodating, although he tried to take my drink before I was done (sad face); however, I can't complain because that is better than waiting a lifetime for help. We tried their porterhouse for 2 with brandy peppercorn crust and peppercorn sauce on the side!
