Good bright lighting with modern decor. Large waiting area but the venue is so big I've rarely had to wait for a table. Huge plus in terms of time savings. Tablet ordering for all your food so don't expect any carts for dim sum here. Food comes out promptly and the staff is very attentive. Overall, my new fav place north of downtown Seattle when I don't feel like driving all the way down to ID. The xiao long bao (XLB) comes with these droppers filled with vinegar. I've been wanting to try Triumph Valley Dim Sum after seeing it pop up on my feed, and I finally had a chance to stop in for lunch on my birthday. We arrived around noon on a Tuesday and were seated right away. Ordering is done through a tablet, which made the experience really easy and convenient, especially with photos and descriptions of each dish. Even on a weekday afternoon, the restaurant was pretty busy, which is always a good sign. And an even better sign when you see a bunch of elderly Asian people dining. Service was quick, and the staff was friendly and accommodating with my baby, which we really appreciated. Everything came out promptly, and we enjoyed our meal overall. Triumph Valley is located in a standalone building with lots of parking. They offer dim sum even at night (select items only). Staff are super friendly making sure things were good and they had a great attitude which made it feel welcoming. Inside, there's a mix of large tables and small tables. The cleanliness is not the best - my cup was sticky on one side and a seat had a wet stain on it. The menu is pretty extensive and I will note that their chicken dishes had a disclaimer that there might be bones in them. I also want to note that the online menu is not the same menu as the one I saw in store. I only got two items during my visit however they were both pretty good. The salt and pepper chicken wings tasted good, salty, and garlicky with a great fry texture. The stir fried rice rolls with xo sauce were seasoned well and some had a crispy exterior. Overall, a solid 3.5 spot for Chinese food in the area but a little bit on the pricey end. Came to this location for the first time (we frequent the Renton location) and this location is huge! But we were seated in a separate section that felt like they were just trying to maximize the space to fit more tables in. This is the largest selection of dim sum I've ever seen, so I'll give them that. There's interesting items I haven't encountered before like the (Football)Crispy Fried Pork Dumpling, House Special Chiu Chow Dumpling, and deep fried taro dumplings. The chiu chow dumpling was hard to eat because the wrapper was so thick and gummy. The "beef" in the beef rice rolls looked and tasted strange - not like beef. It was like some sort of mush that tasted slightly sweet. The stuffed eggplant was way too overdone and super greasy. Actually everything was super greasy, but I guess that's all Chinese food. Even my favorite dim sum dish of radish cakes didn't taste that great. It seemed to be missing something. I piled a bunch of chili on top to make up for it. The restaurant is huge with tons of different areas for seating. Some are better than others, but it depends on how busy they are. All the dishes that we ordered were so good, this includes the pecking duck, crispy pan fried noodle, and Mongolian beef. The duck was so crispy that paired so well with the bun, hoisin sauce, and sliced green onion. The Mongolian beef was so tender with perfect sweet and savory taste, and I loved the onions that were sautéed with the beef. It's hard for me to give five stars for a dim sum spot but I do enjoy Triumph a lot. Great to see that they opened a location in Shoreline so I can avoid driving all the way to Kent. Overall, service and atmosphere were good. Food wise, the dumplings are fairly large compared to what I grew up eating and the dumpling skin is thicccc. The dim sum quality is just okay. Everything felt a bit overcooked because the thick dumplings would break apart as soon as we grabbed them with our chopsticks. We got shu mai, chicken feet, egg tart hk style, bbq pork pastry and bun, seaweed roll, jade crispy shrimp cheung fun, century egg congee, radish cake, scallop and shrimp dumpling, eggplant shrimp, and the glutinous rice with chicken. So the not so good or meh- the eggplant with shrimp was bland. The bbq pork bun and pastry were both not outstanding. I like the bbq pork to be a bit sweeter. The scallop and shrimp dumpling had almost no scallop so tasted like a har gau, which is fine but not what I was expecting. The decent- the eggplant tart was flaky but the pastry layers are a bit thick, so the pastry was a bit oily. But the custard was good. The congee was kind of nice, not fishy or salty but hope it had more century egg in it. The shu mai was good, like average good shumai. The radish cake was also good, good flavor and not too oily. Finally got to try this place because there was such a long wait before. Tip: they said they're low time is around 11 AM or 1 PM. And they say you can call in for a reservation for groups larger than six. Food: everything was pretty good. We got the basics just to try out all the different options. They ha gow (shrimp dumplings) were really big and plump and juicy so that was really good. Their shumai was really yummy as well and really large. We splurged on the truffle shumai and they were worth it. We especially like the pineapple pork pie. And their Portuguese egg tarts were really yummy as well. We did encounter an issue where one of the buns were not steamed properly so they were cold inside and once we told them, they resteamed it and gave us a complementary dish as well. Another thing was the chicken feet was not seasoned as well as I would like and I think they could've that longer as well to make it more tender. This review is for those who are curious about dim sum but not sure what to order, and who come with an open mind. And also for the ones who tell me, "dim sum is overrated because it's not vegetarian/vegan-friendly and they don't do alternatives blah blah blah." Finally, a decent and authentic dim sum place in Shoreline! The restaurant is bright and clean, and the interior feels a bit different from other more traditional dim sum restaurants in Seattle. I've been craving beef stomach and chicken feet for a long time (yes people, some people in this planet still eat animal organs and feet). I'd say their dim sum is Cantonese-approved since I'm Cantonese myself. Not only that, their beef stomach in satay sauce is even better than some I had back in Shenzhen (a city full of tech bros and lacking in authentic traditional food like today's Seattle). It's juicy and tender, and the savory satay sauce with a little sweet touch, flavor bomb! If you can swallow a box of donuts, or six buttermilk pancakes with thick slices of bacon, I highly recommend you give the beef stomach a try. Like, bros, you've already got the guts and the courage to ignore diabetes and cholesterol, so beef stomach is really not that scary. Chicken feet in sauce, no need to say, perfecto, if you know you know. I did find the spareribs slightly different from what I had back home. The seasoning and flavor here are on point, but the meat texture isn't as silky and tender. It's also a bit porky. I feel like most pork dishes in the US have this issue, and I don't know why. If you're less adventurous, or more of a Mongolian beef, sweet n sour pork type, go with the beef chow fun or other noodle dishes. Simple and flavorful. I always prefer rice noodles over wheat noodles because they're softer, and the beef comes in a good cut and portion. The purple yam mochi with salted egg yolk is good too, if you love something gooey and yolk-y. To me they're the perfect dessert to end a dim sum meal. A bite of mochi, then a sip of pu'er tea, that's how you should end a dim sum brunch. Green beans can't go wrong if you're a desperate vegetarian just trying to find something to eat. Rice noodle over youtiao (aka Chinese donut) is a traditional dim sum item, but personally not my thing, I find it kinda boring. But again, good for the desperate vegetarian. Overall, I love the food I ordered here and will definitely come back to try more. Vegetarian life hack: If you're not that strict, like, you don't mind meat showing up in the dish as long as you don't eat it, then beef chow fun and other noodle dishes like Singapore style vermicelli or stir-fried udon can be tasty and filling. You can just push the meat aside. But if you try to customize a dish at a dim sum place the way you customize your avocado toast and kale salad in a trendy brunch spot, it might not end up well. Triumph Valley is a welcome addition to Shoreline! I've been here twice for dim sum and I am a fan. Everything came out fresh and piping hot! The Portuguese Egg Tarts and Lemon Leaves in BBQ Pork Pie are standouts. The crust on the egg tart is a shortbread consistency and the pork pie had generous amounts of pork filling and a very flakey crust, and distinct flavor with the lemon leaves. The shrimp balls, siu mai and bean curd rolls were really good too! The salt & pepper chicken wings were excellent and flavorful both times. I've been here for dim on the weekend where the line starts forming at 9:45 am, they open at 10 am. I've also been here at 11 am on a Monday and was seated immediately. I've heard such good things about the Renton location; so we were so excited to hear it was opening up a little closer to where we live. We finally got to try it out! It was just okay....they're probably still working out the kinks. Service was very friendly! We saw that everyone was working very hard and as quickly as they could. But the food just came out really slowly. We had to cancel a couple items just because we didn't want to wait any longer and were basically full from what we got. Food was fine. Some dishes came out lukewarm. We like our dim sum; and any food for that matter, very hot. None of it seemed very hot. As much hype as we heard about this place, it didn't really meet our expectations. We got sui mai, shrimp balls, tripe, sticky rice, this truffle Xiao Long Bao, meat ball, eggplant/shrimp dish. And it is, the food is well prepared and really delicious and flavorful. We had some of the dishes we tried before, like steamed chicken----super good and the Sweet and Sour Pork Ribs, still consistent from before. The Roast Duck was juicy, moist and perfect. We tried the Crispy Vermicelli with Black Pepper Beef for the first time. That is highly instagrammable and the nutty toasty noodle adds a wonderful texture and taste to the dish. Prices are a little higher than some of the Chinatown dimsum places, but I will say that several of the dishes did feel "elevated". Tea is $4 for a pot (or 0.75 cents per person). We tried a variety of things including (but not limited to) two types of shumai (truffle and regular), chicken feet, tripe, purple yam mochi with salted duck egg, supreme crispy shrimp rolls, Portuguese egg tarts, bean curd rolls, pork spareribs, fried dumpling with pork. My favorites were the purple yam mochi with salted duck egg (warm and unique) as well as the crispy shrimp rolls which were nicely plated and tasty. My least favorite were the pork spareribs (pretty fatty without strong flavor) and the egg tarts which were a little too eggy for me. Service was decent and they asked if our table wanted to split the bill which was nice. We were not rushed even though they were busy which was also nice. We were looking for somewhere new to try and we were not disappointed. Check in was automated and easy. The restaurant was clean and inviting. The wait was short even though they were very busy. The staff made sure we knew how to order and how to get their attention if we needed anything. We ordered and the dishes started coming out shortly thereafter. Very fresh and hot, not like it was sitting around waiting to be served. The shumai was some of the best we have had and about double the normal size. The shrimp & pork dumplings with chives were so flavorful. The special crispy shrimp eggs rolls were very good but a tad greasy. The sticky rice was not our favorite. All said, we will be back because there are so many other things to try and it was a great experience with very good food. read more

Barely average dim sum (based on my experience as a Cantonese ABC who's had dim sum in many cities over the course of life). There are certainly a few other places we'd prefer to go to in the area before choosing Triumph Valley. On a Sunday in mid-June, we only waited 20-30min for a table of 4. Not bad. Here are some of what we ordered: - har gao: Large with lots of chopped shrimp, minimal filler, but semi-thick skin. Good flavor - chicken feet: way too sweet and slightly overcooked (too soft) - white tripe: undercooked and too crunchy. Reliant on MSG (no hate here, I also cook with it) and missing freshness from ginger - beef ball: my palate misses some fresh herbs and water chestnuts. Beef mix is.... probably bottom two of those I've had in the area - matcha salted egg yolk bun: dry bun, barely a hint of matcha. And filling is inconsistent flavoring from bun to bun - cheng fun: beef one is like the beef balls, skip it. Bbq pork one is passable albeit a bit dry. The crepe? Both on the thick side, and one was quite chalky (rice flour was under steamed) - beef chow ho fun: good flavor with light wok hei but extremely oily even for a chow ho fun read more

This place had really good dim sum! They had great variety and it wasn't too greasy or heavy. We arrived right when they opened on the weekend. There was a line but plenty of seating. We didnt have to for too long. You order on an ipad and the food came out really fast. We really liked the shrimp with fruit dish and fried shrimp pockets that had cheese in it. Bathrooms were clean and theres plenty of parking. Do keep in mind dim sum isnt served for dinner. read more
