Haven't had any of their food, but their smoothies are damn delicious! Came here twice while I was visiting from out of town because their smoothies were so good. I've heard of this smoothie chain before but had never been prior to having them here. Unfortunately, we don't have any Tropical Smoothie Cafes in my hood (Bay Area California). After hiking the Figure 8 combo in Bryce Canyon, I was craving for something nice and cold to cool me off. Saw that this place was super close to my Airbnb and decided to try one of their smoothies. They have a drive thru here, but I figured that I'd go inside to check it out first since it was my first time there. The first thing I noticed was how clean the interior space was. It was sparkling clean! Always a good sign. The staff was super friendly and cheery. After perusing the menu, I decided on the Avocolada smoothie. I'm a sucker for anything with avocado in it, so I knew that this would be a hit. It most certainly was! So refreshing and of course... "tropical"! Well hey, what did you expect?! But honestly; this was one of those smoothies that was so good that I finished it within literal minutes. And then, couldn't stop sucking on the damn straw afterward. I had to get every little sip out of that cup! It was so good that I came back the next day after hiking in Zion. This time around, I got the Bahama Mama smoothie. It too was so tasty! It was so thick and creamy. The value is spot on here too. The closest thing to this in my hood would be Jamba Juice. And while I do enjoy them, I would probably trade them in for a Tropical Smoothie Cafe. Will definitely be coming back here again when I come back to Cedar City. read more

Over the last few years we stop by to have lunch when passing through. Today we were in Cedar to watch High School football semi finals. Came to drive through and ordered 3 Thai Chicken Wraps. They weren't busy, but it they were slow to get us are order. Since game time was close we just drove to stadium. Pulled out our order and was disappointed in the lack of chicken & Thai sauce that makes this wrap so good. Also no napkins at all. Of the 3 wraps we got there was barely enough chicken to make one wrap that we normally get. So for $25 we basically had lettuce/carrot wraps that were dry and not worth the price. Be hard to go back as it seems this location has fallen to the Covid excuse of poor service & food. read more

This was my best bet for a healthy snack in the area, and I was surprised to later find out that it was a chain because my smoothie had no flavor and mainly tasted like ice. I had it delivered and selected no added sugar as an option, so perhaps that's why? But I make smoothies at home all the time without added sugar, and the one I chose had dates in it which should make it sweet anyway. I felt that it was an expensive cup of blended ice. One other person in the group I was with mentioned that they had gone here too and also felt that it had no flavor. Came in for a quick lunch. ordered a Baja chicken wrap & blueberry bliss smoothie (spent a total of $13.27). the Baja chicken wrap is refreshing and I love the spicy kick to it. lots of flavor. baja chicken wrap came out hot within 5 minutes. I would rate 5 stars if I didn't have to wait 10+ extra minutes for my smoothie to come out. after I've been waiting for a while, I poked my head by the register to try to get someone's attention to ask what the hold up was. there were two ladies talking/standing in my view but didn't look over their shoulder or asked if I need any help. so I had to wait until someone walked back to the front register area. the cashier seemed surprised that the gal who handed me the Baja wrap didn't hand me the smoothie at the same time. just to be clear, the smoothie was already made. just no one handed it to us and we sat there waiting. she didn't even say sorry lol. but my wrap & smoothie taste good so I should shut up. read more

This is probably the healthiest option for quick serve food in Cedar City. Their food is tasty and mostly healthier; however, Tropical Smoothie really needs to give their customers an option with the types of tortillas they use in their wraps. Right now they just have the white flour one. A whole wheat or spinach option would be much more preferred for those of us eating healthy. This place makes a good pit stop if you're traveling between Salt Lake and Las Vegas. read more

What the point of Tropical Smoothie having a retired menu that you can still order from if you don't train all your employees how to use it!? I ordered a Totally Turkey 3 days ago at this location and the woman made it for me with no issue. Today I come and no one in the store knows what that is and says they don't have the instructions on how to make it. Do you have a retired menu or not?? Must you order only what is on the menu or can you order off the retired menu?? Make up you minds and then get your employees trained on that! Also u have no other turkey wraps!!! Why?? Not a lot of smoothie choices in Cedar so I go here frequently. Sometimes I get my order hastily and sometimes I'm the only guy in the place and it takes twenty minutes. The inconsistency drives me a little crazy, so hopefully someone sees this and they work that out. The food's good, smoothies are even better and regardless of speed the staff is always cheerful. Tip of the day: if you tell them not to put the extra sugar in your smoothie it'll still taste just as good and be better for you! Actually really surprised by tropical smoothie! The one I'm used to going to (not in cedar city) is a hot mess. I guess since they are all franchised you never know what you are going to get. The man at the register was pleasant and offered to make suggestions. I ordered a Thai chicken wrap and then boyfriend and I split a mango magic smoothie. They offered to split the smoothie into two cups which was kinda refreshing to hear bc most places get annoyed with sharing. The wrap came out decently fast. It was good. 4/5. I could have used a little more sauce of the peanut sauce ( super yummy!) and with some bites of chicken you could tell it wasn't the highest quality. All and all i would still order again though! It came with choice of fruit, chips, or a cookie. I splurged with the cookie. I got a snicker doodle and it was waaaaayy better than I was expecting. I wish you could buy them separately. Overall: healthy, tasty, but WAY FREAKING OVERPRICED!!! All the smoothies, sandwiches, and wraps I've had there were amazing. The Jamaican wrap is REALLY SUPER spicy, so be careful. The dining area is colorful and clean. The service is friendly and helpful. They were able to tell me what they thought was good and I had a good time with my date. The thing that prevents me from coming back is the price. $7 for a small wrap that barely feeds and $7 for a smoothie. Seriously? I went in with coupons and was able to eat a wrap and smoothie for about $10. So my advice is to ONLY GO THERE if you have coupons. Lastly, everything is good on the menu. I have always enjoyed their food and still do, but they changed the ability to pay with the app, which they pushed hard to get us to do. But after waiting in a long line, which I did not mind doing, I was told I could not pay with the app anymore. No warning or notice. I did not have my wallet with me which is why I chose to use them, especially because I had been able to pay with the app for a couple of years now.
