My daughter order a smoothie ahead of time and went to pick it up at 6:10am (the store states that they open at 6am) on Wednesday. * No sign or any indication that the store will be NOT opened that day. She waited until 6:30am and the store was STILL NOT OPEN and sadly, she had to leave to go to school. She came back few days later and asked for a refund and the store employees said that they would get the manager but after 10 mins of waiting, came and told her that she didn't know where the manager was and that the manager was gone for the day. My dad and I order smoothies nearly once a week on family nights, and of the hundred we've had, they've only disappointed us once (watery, flavorless. Blimey Limeys). As for food, they're not bad at all. The grilled cheeses are a little heavy on the sauce and their wraps are kind of sloppy, but they're still great taste-wise. I'm not sure why sooo many people came AFTER we ordered, they smoothies, ordered food from the back too, and left loooooooong before we even got our stuff. If it hadn't been because it was so late, I was so hungry and couldn't find "healthy" alternatives without going much further at this time, I would've gotten my money back. I ordered at 10:17pm, and didn't get my food until 10:57pm, 40 MINS later! However, my friends ordered about 5 mins before I ordered and they got their food after I did. They ordered veggie hummus wraps. Unfortunately, upon complaining about how long our food took, we have not encountered rudest workers. The lady who seemed to be the night shift lady asked us to give her back the food, in order to reimburse us. She said she apologized, but she didn't. On one occasion, I've been told that they don't do food past a certain hour which isn't true because I've ordered food through delivery services multiple times. However, every time I place an order through one of these delivery services, there are missing items. Today, 3/31 at around 2:00pm, I visited again and the girl on the register could not take our order properly. I'm pretty sure she was high. I had to repeat myself about 4 times for her to understand, yet she ended up giving me real chicken when I asked for the plant-based substitute. As someone who has not eaten meat in 7 years, this is completely unacceptable and I feel sick because of it. The customer service was awful. The cashier was rude and didn't greet us, speak to us, or answer our questions about the menu. Just said, "name"? Needs a really good lesson in customer service! The smoothie barista took about 25 mins to make our smoothies with hardly any customers in the place. To top it off, and the worst part, was that I found small particles of what appears to be plastic inside my smoothie. This review is for customer service and also for poor management of a potentially great smoothie and sandwich shop. I try not to post poor reviews of any establishment on my first visit but the smoothie maker/cashier was both overworked and also very hostile to me and to all the other 7 customers that were waiting for their orders. She mumbled when asking me if I wanted fresh fruit or chips with my meal and smoothie. I had no idea the sandwich I ordered came with a choice of sides and couldn't understand what she was saying so just charged me for the meal but didn't offer me the fruit or the chips. I only realized the sandwich came with a side because I waited 25 minutes for my two smoothies and sandwich so had a lot of time to slowly read the entire menu. When she handed me my order, I told her I'd take the chips and she snatched up a bag and handed them to me in a huff. I'm not even going to mention what she did and said to other customers while I was waiting and observing because they can post their own reviews! This location is busy enough to need two and maybe three employees. One to take orders and cashier, one to make smoothies and a third to make food orders and help expedite. I hope the manager or owner starts scheduling more help for this location because the smoothies and sandwiches are great but you will have to put up with a long wait and a very angry, frustrated employee in order to get your food and drinks. read more
