My ticket number was 493364, I ordered a chicken casa Dela with sour cream and guacamole. The sour cream tasted like paste, the guacamole was a green liquid which was bitter. The children was horrible. This my second experience at this joint. The first time I ordered taco, also horrible! read more

That one star is only for the food. The food is awesome, super tasty. However. The customer service is horrible. I was there with my two friends and they didn't ask us "for here or To go?" When we were ordering. It was freezing so we decided to wait in the indoor seating area. She asked my friend if it was for here and she said "no, we're Just waiting in here" so hers comes to go. Then mine and my other friends comes out on a tray. And we say "it's to go, I'm sorry" and she starts talking shit about how "she asked us and we said for here". And we ignored it but then she kept on talking negatively about the customers. our food finally comes to go, and the workers are both glaring at us and I stop and ask if there's an issue and they say no. I told them they were being rude and that we felt the customers should never be talked about when we can clearly hear it. And she called me "honey" and told me she wasn't being rude. Which if you have to tell a customer that, you're being rude. It ruined our morning because we were so stoked to finally try it. Definitely will not be coming back because of how rude the employees are and how disrespectful they treated the customers. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND read more

Consistently good. Nothing fancy. Burritos will keep you full for a day. Chicken salads are healthy and excellent. Burgers are great and classic. Gyros are solid. It's not a pretty place and it doesn't have a drive through, but that's no problem. Feel free to order something and pick it up. read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!Don't know what happened here but it has done a about face. We have eaten here for 20+ years and this is strike 3!!? They're OUT!!! Last 3 times food was overcooked and items in order were wrong or missing. Never offered any compensation or money back. Owner has attitude last time and wouldn't refund money for items returned. I have lived here since 1968 and WILL NEVER GO BACK. It's a shame that I will advise all my friends that live in area and frequent Troys to not waste there time any longer. read more

Well I cannot remember a meal like that but I will now all because I had Troy's burgers. It is a hole in the wall that is typically overlooked, because of its physical appearance and location. Many people take looks at this restaurant and pass it up because it is not suited for their liking, I know I overlooked this place many times and I was dead wrong about everything about this place and I am glad I finally stopped by and tried it for the first time. I have never been more satisfied in a visit to a burger joint than I have with Troy's. All I can say is never judge a book by its cover. Do not let this restaurants appearance make the decision for you I made that mistake many times. I would drive by this hole In the wall everyday on my way home and wonder if it was worth my time and heard earned money to try it. Trust me, it was worth every penny and I am going to be a regular customer there even if it kills me (which it will slowly). All I can say is if you are in the city or orange at any time you need to dine at Troy's burgers because you will be as pleased as I was. Do your taste buds a favor and take the chance I did. The service was phenomenal there and the food was outstanding. The portions were more than enough to feed me and believe me I can eat a lot of food and I was full by the end of my meal. Everyone there was In high spirits and I do not know if it was policy for the employee's or it was just was just a great staff of excited workers but I was glad either way because it made my dining experience that much better. The great server was just an added bonus to the delicious food that I consumed at this restaurant. In all just that one experience will bring me back to eat there many more times you can count on that. I am very impatient when it comes to food and I did not have to wait or complain to anyone that the service was subpar or the quality of the food was not appetizing enough. Really it made me wanting more and I will definitely come back for another visit. Do not base something off of a look because you can be missing out on something that you can really count on to bring a smile or good time. This restaurant made my day and I was glad to be a customer there. Troy's burgers made my dining experience that much better and I thank them for it, because it is really hard to find a combination of quality and care out of anyone these days especially out of the restaurant business whose main focus is to make money the easiest way possible, but Troy's did It and I will recommend them to any one of my friends with confidence and the surety of a quality meal that does not let down. read more

Good solid pastrami burger-the pastrami was tender and juicy and they added a fair amount, not too little like most places. I also had chili-cheese fries. The chili they used tasted like it was seasoned meat used for tacos, but it actually worked well on the fries. A good little burger joint. read more

The food is delicious here, but they do have a problem with cockroaches now. I used to come here all the time and have always loved their food. I recently came back to notice the little restaurant had been infested with creepy crawlers. now I'm not one to complain but this is just too horrible to overlook. my boyfriend and i just, and i literally mean just left troys and this is the first thing i knew i had to do. Ive been to troys before and their fries are amazing and burgers are to die for, at least they were until about 10 minutes ago. i ordered their 1/4 lb cheeseburger special and my boyfriend ordered a small order of onion rings. the wait was extremely long and there was all of 3 parties there including us, but any who, that's besides the point. as soon as he sat down with our tray he noticed a HAIR that appeared to have been fried right along with the onion rings because it was stuck like glue and sticking straight up, without taking a bite he returned the rings and requested a new order. while waiting on the rings he decided to help me with my burger that i was enjoying very much, but half way through the burger i look down to notice a thick, inch long, black Hair starring me in the face against my fresh white bun. i was completely disgusted. my boyfriend returned the burger and at this point we were so grossed out we didn't want any more of troys. we left without even seeing our onion rings, left ranch we paid 30 cents extra for untouched, and a half eaten burger with fries. the guys behind the scene really need to invest in hair nets because its a shame in this economy people can make such careless mistakes and have it ruin a business. read more

The customer service here is non-existent! Food is decent but definitely not good enough to justify the crappy ass service. We have lived down the street, within walking distance for years... We really really want to like this place and have tried them off and on over the years, giving them several chances. Every time we walk away feeling like we were provided crappy service (even by who I believe may have been the manager or owner) and the food has been so-so. We really try our best to support local small businesses in our community but we're finally ready to say that we are done with Troy's. Rather than wasting any more of our time with them, we'll be supporting another more well deserving business with our hard earned dollars. read more

One would think that if you proclaim to have the best of something - you would serve it all the time. Living in So-Cal for the last 20 years, I am always on the hunt for the tastiest of treasures. Spots that don't follow the norm, and folks that do things just a bit different to enhance what has already been perfected. Troy's is a joke. Went to try the "best breakfast burrito" at 11:50 and according to the manager it was after breakfast time and was against company policy to serve a burrito on that menu. Now, when is a burger shack supposed to follow the rules of "Over 1 Billion Served". Thanks but no thanks. Who would think that a hole in the wall would ever have to many customers. Lord knows this one doesn't. Advice, you can get onion rings and burgers anywhere in Orange. Places I bet will do a little extra to make a customer happy and keep them coming back. I moved into the area less than a year ago, and always drive by this place. The sign saying that they are the best burritos around and their raving reviews made me want to try one. I've always been a fan of Pepe's monster breakfast burritos in Fullerton, but wanted to give Troys a shot. I ordered a sausage breakfast burrito which was hot and ready fairly quickly. However, I was disappointed once I started eating. My burrito was primarily hash browns with little egg and sausage, and was full of grease that dripped everywhere. It didn't have any flavor in it either, but that was easily fixed with some avocado and homemade salsa from the fridge. The rest of the day I had the worst stomach ache, pretty sure it was all the grease. Needless to say I'll probably stick to Pepe's. read more

Went to Troy's for the first time yesterday and was VERY impressed with the food! The chorizo burrito contained perfect parts chorizo/hash browns and my kids enjoyed the burgers and fries. I need to go back and try the ham and/or bacon burritos as my friends say they are to die for. First thing my son said after finishing was "When can we go back back?" The breakfast burritos are fantastic! The service is horrendous. I have been to this place of business on a few occasions and is treated like an inconvenience by every woman who works the windows. When it happened the first time I thought it might be a one off and she may have been having a bad day. Nope! That is the treatment you receive every time you go. If the service was mediocre I would have given Troy's 5 stars, but due to the mean looks, rude comments and the huffing and puffing the woman do when they are doing THEIR JOB I am only giving them a 1. Best on the menu is the breakfast burritos. It's the only thing that gets my teenager out of bed on a Sunday morning. We've been to so many places for breakfast burritos and Troys is the best. Huge portion for $5.99. Great deal! Tried the sausage and the chorizo but our fav is the bacon. The cut up the bacon and evenly distributed throughout the burrito so you have bacon at every bite. Ask for saisa on the side if you want to control the amount of salsa. Otherwise it can overwhelm the burrito. Be sure to tip! The staff deserves it. The four stars is only due to the ambiance. They could upgrade the seating area a bit. Looks like some nice improvements to the parking lot area but space is limited. Come on Sunday mornings before 10 am, no line! I dont know about you but sometimes i just get so sick of the all the chain restaurants that dot every street corner. Good, wholesome American food and awesome shakes. Plus the location and parking lot set up is a trip that can be quite enjoyable stoned.
