This is my second visit to a True Food Kitchen after hearing so many recommendations. And once again I was disappointed. I had the Thai Panang Curry, and it was very blah. I've been to Thailand and eaten at countless Thai restaurants and this was below par. (Lesson learned - don't expect great Thai food and a non-Thai restaurant). Also the drink I had was watery (Sparkling Prickly Pear Tisane). On the other hand my friend's vegan Terriyaki bowl was quite tasty. Maybe I am just choosing wrong, but I'm 0/2 so far. I am constantly looking for new places to try that offer a variety of gluten-free options. My friend suggested coming here. The Roasted Brussels Sprouts were very good. I had the Korean Noodle bowl and added chicken. It was so flavorful and colorful. I ate extremely slow so that I could enjoy each and every bite. To drink, I chose the Pomegranate Chia Limeade, and I couldn't have made a better choice. I will definitely be making this spot a regular on my dining out list. read more

I love True Foods, I've been waiting for one to open near my house since I stumbled upon it in Houston. The location downtown is great too but this one is just more convenient to me. I love the decor here, it's so open and welcoming! I love that the menu changes seasonally, it makes it very exciting to come often to see what is new. I've never had something I didn't like here. I really like the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl, it's always a safe and delicious choice. The edamame dumplings are amazing! They are soooo good, I just wish more came to an order. I could make it my entree! So LRoth and I decided to check out the Domain one day. We heard it has just about anything you want or need. For lunch, I got a grass fed burger. It was okay. Seasoned okay. Not bad but also nothing to write home about. Most of the entrees just seemed okay. I think if you're around The Domain and need a quick bite, then sure go for it. True Food Kitchen is a great restaurant. Healthy high quality food in a beautiful setting. Excellent service provided by Taylor to our table. Reading the reviews I was expecting small portions. I ordered two appetizers hummus and guacamole. Guacamole does not appear on the sunday brunch menu but it is available. Ask and ye shall receive. Both appetizers were delicious. I had a grass fed burger with a kale salad. A great burger with a nice salad. The other diners were all happy with their food. Pizza,noodles with steak and a chicken wrap . We found the portions to be decent and we left full and happy. A nice place with good healthy food. They offer valet parking and it is very close to the playground. Honestly love both locations. The space is nice and plenty big there was a smallish wait at the front and they seemed a little disorganized seating but there was plenty of room for everyone to sit once who was in line was sorted out. It might be a little darker than the downtown location, but we loved the atmosphere of the domain and being able to walk the sho after dinner. The cocktails were spot on! My dad wanted pomegranate in his cocktail and they even added seeds for him! The service was very attentive and friendly considering the restaurant is very new. The entrees were very fresh and lots of healthy options to chose from and a wide variety for even the pickiest of eaters! A good spot for date night, to go out with friends, or family! My friend and I both ordered one of the bowls and the food was not necessarily bad, but it was nothing to rave home amount. Way over priced for what it was. Came here for lunch with my family. We were one of the first to come so the restaurant wasn't busy. We had our dog so sat outside on the patio. Because of the heat my husband got the Cobb salad. I got the herb Hummus and we got a pizza for our child. The food was dreadful. The salad had a bunch of things thrown together that didn't have balance (made no sense for chickpeas to be with blue cheese). The hummus was slop on a plate and the cheese pizza had a layer of grease on top. We had to request napkins to blot the pizza before we gave it to our child. We felt bad because the waiter was very nice and attentive but seeing as we left most of our food uneaten it was a little awkward. I wouldn't recommend this spot at all. Amazing hidden gem in Fort Mill. With more and more vegan options popping up this restaurant is what "top shelf" looks like.

Was out shopping on a "me" day and decided to stop and have a salad at the bar. Decided on the Chopped Salad with chicken and was not disappointed in my selection. The lettuce to toppings ratio was perfect and the dressing was light without being too oily or creamy, rather a compliment to the salad. The grilled chicken was seasoned and tender. Bonus the staff is adhering to Covid guidelines, so I felt better about eating at the bar as opposed to outside! Great lunch spot to enjoy solo or with friends! read more

I went for the first time and took my dad and the family for his birthday. We were impressed with all of the options on the menu and everything sounded so good it was hard to pick. We ordered the edamame dumplings, street corn flatbread and the hummus as appetizers, all 3 of which were good. For the meal we ordered the steak, an entree salad, rainbow trout, glass noodle bowl, Korean bbq chicken sandwich and regular chicken sandwich. The steak was ordered medium and arrived so rare it wouldn't cut and was not edible. The salad had way too much dressing and was basically dressing and globs of lettuce. It was sent back and remade with dressing on the side. The rainbow trout was fine although the portion was extremely small. The noodle bowl with glass noodles were overcooked and mushy though the flavor was OK at best. The Korean bbq chicken sandwich was dry, overcooked and the air fried breading was burned to a crisp. The regular chicken sandwich was ordered with sauce on the side but had sauce on it and also arrived with lint stuck to the chicken as the breading was so dry and hard it pulled lint off of something that touched it in the kitchen (possibly a napkin?) half of the items ordered were not eaten entirely and we decided to skip out on dessert. The restaurant was extremely loud and the music changed volume multiple times during the meal, I felt like I was at a club. The staff were very busy, coming by to ask if everything was OK but then just running off immediately after asking. After the meal I stepped into the bathroom, and there was a bad sewage smell in the air, damaged door handles and the floor was wet with urine. Normally most of these things wouldn't bother me but for the price of these dishes I expect better. The bill totaled 192 for six adults, no beverages just food. We showed up expecting to order some nice desserts after a healthy meal for my dad's birthday and ended up rushing out as soon as possible without ordering anything else. read more

Love the vegan/vegetarian options they offered. My boyfriend and I shared some edamame dumplings which were delicious. We just wished they served more than 4 or 5 dumplings. I tried the T.L.T. The tempeh could've been a bit warmer for my liking. Or perhaps a different substitute for the "bacon like" crispiness. My boyfriend had the steak tacos which he said were good but could've been a little more flavorful for his liking. I appreciate that this restaurant is vegetarian/vegan friendly so both myself and my boyfriend can enjoy something. My super-health-conscious friend raves about this place all the time. I was in need of vegetables after a Thanksgiving full of greasy goodness, so I decided to take her here for her birthday lunch. In my opinion, the food was mediocre for its price point. I ordered the ancient grains bowl, and I expected a much bigger portion judging by the high price. It didn't have much flavor, either. My friend loves the Cobb salad with chicken, so she went for that. Her salad was a bigger portion compared to my bowl. Not sure how it tastes, but she seemed to enjoy it. I asked the server for the raw tuna app that I've had at the downtown location and he wasn't sure what I was talking about but the manager at the time ( sadly I forgot his name) was very nice enough to come over to my table to find out what dish it was, made it in the kitchen and brought it over to us which I really appreciated. My family includes a picky eater, a vegetarian, and always someone is trying to eat healthier. True Food provides options for all of us. I have eaten here at least six times and each time the servers were wonderful - attentive but not fussy. We really wanted to like this place as I am vegetarian and it's just a few minutes walk from our apartment. The first time we went for dinner. We were seated and ordered drinks and an appetizer pretty promptly, but after that the service was very slow. Our drinks- just two glasses of wine, didn't arrive until after our food. My husband ordered the sea bass which he immediately noticed was pretty bland, then saw it was raw in the middle. They immediately made him a new one and offered a free dessert which we accepted, but the second order was still undercooked but edible. The chocolate cake, admittedly, was delicious. We decided to try coming back for brunch thinking it might be better, but again service was slow. We got the two egg breakfasts and mimosas and were very underwhelmed. The eggs were extremely bland, the toast was plain and dry, and the sweet potatoes were too wet and not cooked enough. I didn't eat the sausages but my husband said they were cold. I was happy when I found out they were opening one up North at the Domain! We came for lunch and the place is big and clean. Love everything on the menu. My favorite is the Ancient Grains with Steak. A little sweet potato, caramelized onions, avocado, grains with a chimichurri sauce.. EXCELLENT! We will be visiting a lot more! Most tables didn't have food when you looked around. Everyone was just staring at each other. Every dish we ordered was extremely spicy. My mom almost couldn't eat her food because it was so spicy. Came here with my girlfriends a Friday afternoon, we made reservations for 2:30 but were a little late due to parking issues. Host was very nice and understanding about it and got us seated. Drinks were delicious and so cute!!! Food came out rather quick DELICIOUS!! I loved the penne so much! There was just enough mozzarella to taste but not too much where it became over bearing.
