Very pretty restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating . As we entered we could see the kitchen at work . This restaurant is modern and bright with its lime green color accent . We are promptly seated and the server comes to ask for beverage order . One can look at the menu from the bar code on table with the phone or choose a paper menu . I prefer the paper menu . I start off with the cauliflower appetiser and it is creamy and tasty with some nuts in it . My next selection was a quina veggie bowl . I did like but thought this is expensive non the less I had it. My friend ordered a personal pizza and she liked it . My meal with a wine came to 41.00 I guess I prefer not sending so much on food . This has been a favorite chain of mine for a long time. I've been dining regularly at this location for about two years and like much else we consume these days, the quality has slowly declined. The portions have changed drastically. I'll provide a clear example: the bowls that boast avocado as an ingredient used to come with a full avocado. They eventually went to a half avocado. I think we're currently at less than a half of an avocado per bowl. Beyond portions, it seems like the quality has gone down. I used to be wowed by how fresh their produce was for a chain. Now you get meh-quality vegetables. I used to be wowed at how well they cooked the food. Now I end up sending food back (a rarity for me) because they burn a lot of the food. I used to look forward to the seasonal menu changes. But the changes seem to be minimal these days, and never for the better. They've moved away from clean food to more heavy, meat forward dishes. They're pushing their flatbread pizza a lot, too. And they aren't very good. read more

This place was a disappointment. The menu looked very interesting, but the food was below expectations. We ordered guacamole with edamame appetizer, ahi tuna poke bowl, and Peruvian burger. Everything was bland and lacked flavours. The "guacamole" was just mashed avocado mixed with edamame beans, the chef should go to Mexico to learn what guacamole is. The poke bowl had undercooked rice and tasteless, dry tuna pieces. The patty in the burger lacked any spices, it was just meat pressed together with nothing else added. You could get a better burger at MacDonald. Honestly, if I were rating the food only, this would've been a 2 star review, adding a star for nice service and the way the place looks, it's really interesting open kitchen design. However, we certainly wouldn't be back, at least until they replace the chef. read more

I love eating clean and I never feel guilty about dining at True food. I came here for lunch and got seated quickly. The staff was attentive and friendly and made great suggestions for what to order. I ordered the edamame dumplings and it is now one of my favorite things ever. I ordered the lasagna, only 400 something calories and wow! I've had other items from the menu before and they're all really tasty. The restaurant is located in Waterside shops, parking can be tricky during season but off season it's pretty easy to find parking. The place to eat if you're looking for food that is nutritious and wholesome. It is located near The Shops. The food was served relatively fast. If you're indecisive about what to get I recommend ordering one of their bowls. A great place to bring friends to lunch as it has a chill and soft spoken ambiance. The menu is limited and many of our favorites weren't available We think because they just reopened they have to get the kitchen crew rhythm purring again. We spoke with the manager to give him feedback, how would he ever know? 1. The grass fed burger was almost burnt but requested as medium 2. The bun was stale 3. The side sweet potato hash was cold 4. This is my first review. I'm on my way to Chick-Fil-A right now after eating at True Food because my food was so bad. I ordered the edamame dumplings and they were so overcooked they fell apart. Then, my burger bun was charred and the meat was overcooked. The waiter brought out new buns but given the state of the meal, new food should've been brought out or at least given a discount. For 1 appetizer and 2 burgers, it wasn't $56. Disappointed and won't be coming back. read more

I have already been here twice, and it's a bit of a drive for me, so that says something right there. I'm gluten free, and try to eat as clean as I can when going out, which isn't always easy. True Food Kitchen made this easier for me. Their menu was marked appropriately, gluten free, vegan, etc. There were some creative dishes on their and some old favorites. My husband's favorite, so far, was the lasagna, although he wished the portion was a bit bigger. He has a larger appetite than I do. For me, the portion sizes were just right. And, although the prices are a bit higher, I feel that it's worth it, considering the quality of food and the innovation of most of their dishes. I was especially impressed with the poke bowl, as the flavors were so wonderfully interesting and yummy! I love the creativity here and the focus on sourcing the best ingredients (local, grass-fed, etc.). It is a big place and it gets VERY busy, so I recommend showing up in-between the normal busy hours, like a late lunch. Easier to get in without a long wait. For someone interested in eating better, or avoiding certain foods, and has a real appreciation for good food, this is an excellent choice. read more

Great place! Loved the choices, great atmosphere, and overall setting. This is located the Waterside Shoppes in Naples so it is the perfect location. The inside has high ceilings to the overall feel is light, airy, but still casual and comfortable. So it is like the atmosphere matches the food. I'm in experimental Vegan mode, and decided to give this place a try. Beware that there's a mix of Vegan, Vegetarian, and full on Meat on the menu. It's a great place to come if everyone's not on the meatless train. This is a chain restaurant but you wouldn't know it if you haven't been to other places. This is the first one of these I've seen and tried. After talking to the waiter, I was torn between the TLT (i.e. fake BLT) and a pizza with fake cheese. Since I had just had pizza, I decided to go against the waiter's advice and get the TLT. He said it wasn't his favorite, but others liked it. Well, let me tell you it was pretty darn good. The Tempeh (bacon) was not bacon crispy, but it was close. The flavor was spot on. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and the bread was wholesome and crispy crunchy good. The vegan mayo was a bit runny, but tasted good. And the side of cucumber salad was very dilly (not in a Bud Light way) and flavorful. I'm glad I stopped and had a quick bite to eat. Stopped here for a healthy lunch. We have been trying to behave more in our aging eating habits. Our server Gina was super nice and recommended the edamame dumplings to start! That might be the greatest thing ever! I will crave them now for the rest of my life. They were perfect in every way, texture flavor etc. if I had to complain it was only that I wanted MORE. Hubby had a Cobb salad with kale that he enjoyed with a champagne vinegrette dressing. Nice flavor and good size for lunch. I had the spaghetti squash casserole. True Food Kitchen is a staple in a healthy, but yummy lifestyle. Everything here is super tasty and pretty affordable for the prices. The only downside is that sometimes I leave a bit hungry, but I think it depends on what I order. Either way, I keep coming back because I love my healthy fix! I usually get one of their bowls (teriyaki chicken or the one with miso broth) and they are super delicious. These always leave me full. I also have tried their burger, which is really filling and tasty. Their breakasts are not too filling, so I would probably avoid ordering those meals if you are super hungry. This place has been a great spot for creative, flavorful, and health-forward food in Naples! I've been a few times before but never managed to get pictures of our orders. This time around, we tried the cocktails The Monarch and Dragonfruit Margarita--each fantastic. We also had the Vegan Double Cheeseburger, and I must say it was a hard pass for me. I've never had a bad meal at TFK before, I just don't recommend this particular dish. The patties were rock hard around the edges but mushy in the middle, and the burger around it was falling apart in my hands. Meeting up a friend who lives in Naples, this was one of the places she recommended as it would be very healthy and delicious too! It is located at the Waterside Shops which is an upscale shopping center. We came for an early dinner on Saturday. Their menu had a good selection of gluten friendly, vegan and vegetarian options. Of course, calorie counts. We started with a couple appetizers: roasted brussel sprouts and caramelized onion tart. The tart came as a flat bread. It was light and delicious. The three of us ordered a couple dishes to share. When we ordered the Panang curry, we forgot to add protein to it. Just a headsup, the curry was not American spicy and had a good kick and good flavor. We also had the Grass-fed steak tacos. Steak was good quality and well- seasoned. What a great place with such a good reputation. It seems anyone who's been here loves it no matter which one of their locations they've visited. I have to admit I didn't know about this place but a quick yelp search cured that issue. I brought my friend here for dinner, she's vegetarian and I wanted a place that didn't just have a "vegetarian option" but a vegetarian feast! This place does them justice and my friend was excited, she told me she had been to the one back in Chicago and loved it. We ordered drinks, her the tequila cocktail, and mine the vodka with rosemary. Can't remember the names but they both were very very good, We ended up getting 2 other rounds! For starters we tried the ricotta and mushroom flatbread. The ricotta was an almond butter version and I hesitated. I like my cheese milky if you know what I mean, haha I like real cheese. Nothing against vegan cheese but I think it's the weakest point in the vegan option. They haven't quite nailed it for pizza. In fact, in general I will go ahead and say vegan cheese sucks! Haha BUT there is a happy ending to this paragraph. I LOVED and I mean loved not just liked or thought it was pasable, I thoroughly enjoyed the ricotta and overall the pizza. What an amazing pizza for a non pizza place. Puts other places to shame in fact, how delicious is this recipe?? Wow, it's a 5/5 for the pizza I would order it again without blinking an eye. I ordered the chicken teriyaki quinoa bowl and ordered double chicken. This was good and the whole dish seemed very fresh and healthy despite it being rather heavy. It didn't blow my socks off but it was superb and I enjoyed every last bite. I do think it needs something, not sure what but something to make it blast off into 5outa5ville. Service was an issue, i have to say we waited longer than at other places. This wasn't a problem at first and as the night progressed it seemed to get a bit worse. The check was around $100, which is on the very edge of being a little overpriced (drinks are $12) for this kind of experience but not quite when you factor in the obvious care they took building that menu and executing those dishes and the decor and overall feel. Good service, okay food. I think they execute on the whole "healthy" thing, it's just not supper exciting food. I got the Ancient Grains Bowl with chicken, which was perfectly fine (a little spicy though), but overall it just reminded me of the salad bar at Whole Foods.
