When you want to make gains at the gym, you're going to need protein. I can't think of a better…read morepost workout meal than having a poke bowl with a good mix of fish options. You also get a bunch of omega 3's, essential vitamins, all in a low-fat form compared to things like beef, chicken, and pork. All that being said, I ordered a protein packed bowl with brown rice and four scoops of fish (went with a variety of tuna, albacore, salmon, and spicy tuna). Even skipped the mayo this time and went for the ponzu/soy based sauces. The bowl was super refreshing, filling, and I didn't feel like a blob afterwards. Super simple to order: just mark up one of their order sheets with all the fish and bowl accompaniments you desire. There's a nice variety such as tomatoes, edamame, corn, cucumbers, and even things like kimchi, seaweed salad, and avocado (costs extra). If you're not interested in a poke bowl, there are other options like sushi rolls, ramen, katsu bowls, etc.

I checked a bunch of stuff that I think I'd like . Didn't know how it would turn out looking all jumbled up, but to my surprise, it was actually tasty to my liking. The suggestion of the sauces was important. Staff suggested the mayos but I like sour so ponzu was the way to go. Wouldn't mind coming back to try again if I'm in the area. Looks like the sushirito is their thing too. They also have unagi don, may need to come back and try that too. Plenty of parking outside in the complex, so pretty convenient.

I just love this place. It's like a little piece of aloha in the middle of the bay area. My favorite is the luau curry katsu...huge portion with all the yummy memories of being back home. My daughter loves the spam musubi and she always loves to pick out a small snack from the general store isles. Everyone goes home happy and we always look forward to our next visit to this little "diamond" in the rough.
