Stopped in for a quick meal on the drive up to SF for a Friday night Giants game. There's no parking lot for this restaurant so parking on a side street is the only option, but it wasn't too bad. When we walked in the restaurant was practically empty and about 4 workers were standing around waiting behind the counter. We built our own poke bowls and there were many toppings to choose from, most of them free. The regular bowl lets you select 4 types of protein which is generous, but the server uses a scale to measure the weight. Regular poke bowl: The quality of the fish was decent, but lacked flavor, even with the sauces. This is partially my fault, but the amount of toppings on the bowl takes away from the overall taste of the poke bowl. Would prefer a more authentic Hawaiian style poke bowl over this. read more

Disclaimer: this review is for the food only because it was take out The fish was of decent quality but I would definitely say on the smaller side in terms of portion. If you're someone that likes to taste more of the natural flavors of each ingredient, then perhaps this is for you. I believe most if not all the sides were pickled but they tasted only very lightly pickled. Went there for lunch hoping to have oysters but they didn't have it. No explanation, just "we don't have oysters." The fish serving size for a poke bowl is really small compared to other places and the taste was so so. The TV screen menu on the wall had this big red line down it from top to bottom in an area covering the menu options so it was hard to know what was being offered for a new customer. I had to look online for the menu. Apparently, the red line down the menu has been there for a long time (2yrs per yelp photos). Workers weren't so nice. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. Went here on Tuesday so it was pretty quiet. I got a custom regular poke bowl since it was only a few dollars more than the small one and you get 2 more scoops of fish! I got the salmon and crab. One of the things that I like about this place is the consistency with the amount of fish. Instead of ordering a bowl by the scoop, you order by the ounce. The restaurant itself has a very relaxed vibe. They have a happy hour as well that I've gone to once. The oysters were okay but not my favorite. Unfortunately, the bowls and service are not up to par with our expectations. My boyfriend got the regular bowl (4 scoops of protein) and I got the small bowl (2 scoops of protein). For the price, each bowl is pretty small and there weren't too many options to choose from and a lot of the toppings cost extra. The sauces were lacking and even though I mixed and matched a few of them, I felt like there still wasn't enough flavor in my bowl. The "truffle aioli" didn't taste like truffle at all. My boyfriend's red pickled onions had a weird fragrance-like taste and did not taste pickled. The quality of the fish was fine - it tasted fresh but since I got a small, there wasn't much of it. The only thing I liked were the glass noodles. Besides our mediocre bowls, customer service was pretty much nonexistent - the employees definitely did not seem like they wanted to be there and were borderline unfriendly (like many other reviews have mentioned, unfortunately).
