I will stick with 4 stars.... been back twice recently... note they have a new "chef" so recent visits have been SLOW...and when i say slow...an hour before we got our food ...ugh... i am not marking down for that b/c hoping it is temporary and i understand staffing is a difficult thing. food is plentiful and better than your average diner... prices are reasonable...not cheap...not expensive menu is a little confusing for me....hard to explain why but there are so many "options" for each item I feel overwhelmed. Also note that website menu is not updated on prices, format or items service ....they really try....don't expect too much...they are friendly and kind and really try! it is extremely casual service. the walls are adorned with OLD pics of solana/del mar area which is super fun to look at. it's amazing how much the area has grown over the years. ya i'll keep going back...just mentally prepare

Food is great! I enjoyed the chicken salad. They have live music often. Nice to sit outside and people watch. They have a lot of outside seating so bring your dog. They will get your dog water. Service was great! Would like to see more beer choices.

Went to high school in Solana Beach and can honestly say that T's has been consistently good for a long time. I like it better than Sunnyside down the street and feel it is a solid breakfast option in small, sleepy Solana Beach. They have a fairly small menu, but it is full of great options and a lot of breakfast classics. Eggs Benedict is my favorite breakfast dish so I loved seeing many different types of Benedict options on the menu. Parking is extremely easy and service is always fast. Our server today was especially polite and everything that we ordered came out quickly and was cooked to our order. For this most recent visit, I chose to order the Surf Side Crabcake Benedict and thought it was actually very good. I had a Crabcake Benedict the previous week and this version was much better. The coffee is also strong and the pricing is fair and it's honestly a great option on the beautiful 101. They have indoor and outdoor seating and I would just highly recommend to anyone searching for a great breakfast spot in Solana Beach.

T's Cafe is ok. Their food is pretty good, the service is just ok. I would go back and most certainly will. But I wouldn't bring out of town guests here. I wouldn't come here expecting a great experience. The Great - They have specials that are fun! (just make sure you look at the front, because a server isn't going to tell you about them.) The Good - Plentiful Coffee The Bad - Service is good enough, just not very friendly or attentive The Ugly - The restrooms are pretty gross. Not waste everywhere, but no one is cleaning the the baseboards, walls or floor I don't think. T's is a nice place to go if your in the area. Sit outside, enjoy the sites, expect decent food, but don't expect much more.

Friendly service, yummy food, ample amount of indoor/outdoor seating. We sat at the bar (there was a 10 minute wait for a table) which was perfect. The bartender/server Uzbek was attentive, helpful and friendly. We put in our orders fairly quick, but they did take a while to come out- id say 20-30 min. Both dishes were yummy, except for my biscuits - they felt overdone and hard, not that edible. The coffee was good and so was the OJ. *on a Sunday, they were pretty slow until about 10:30 - that's when we saw a line start to form :) Enjoy!

Was deciding between this and another place. Ended up going here, based on the menu. Arrived a little after opening. Similar to another review, I was standing at the host area for a few minutes. I think one gentleman was handling everything until I left when another server came in. I got seated in a booth. The sun initially was a little bothersome, as it was right in the eyes. But, it adjusted enough. I went with the T's Country Benny (country fried steak), which came on a biscuit and not an english m7ffin. This was excellent! The breading on the steak was crispy and flavored well. Tender, too. The biscuits were soft and did a great job at soaking up the egg yolk and gravy. The gravy had an excellent flavor, as well. I got a side of hashbrowns. These were your typical hashbrowns. Cooked perfectly. Coffee was OK, too. I was a satisfied diner.

Cute little cafe right by the beach and lots of outdoor and indoor seating. We only waited about 15 minutes to get seated outside (no wait for inside) and ordered a caramel iced coffee, OJ, and Bloody Mary to drink while we waited for the food to come out. Service was very sweet and all the food we saw coming out, especially the sandwiches and French toast, looked SO GOOD and also huge! I got their seasonal special carnitas benny which was packed full of flavor and my friend got a more traditional breakfast with the fluffiest pancakes. Prices were also not bad for a restaurant by the water. So happy to have found a great brunch spot next time I'm in Solana beach.

At T cafe .... Waiting patiently for food.

So slow! Mason jars are cute for serving water, but not if the threads at the top haven't been cleaned.

Everything I've tried has been amazing...fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care. Their smoothies are unreal, and you can actually taste how high-quality the ingredients are. It's owned by two sisters who are the sweetest people ever. They make you feel so welcome every time you walk in, and you can tell how much love they put into this place. If you're looking for healthy food that actually tastes GOOD, please go support them. This spot deserves to be packed every day!

The menu is a little bit different than I remember, but still focuses on fresh and healthy. The girl working at the front used to also work at the PB Location and she's very friendly and knowledgeable. She also gave us samples of the berry smoothie and the green juice to try. I went with the golden milk latte to drink, and it was fabulous. I did have them add a shot of espresso to it because when I was ordering a latte, I definitely was looking for caffeine. It's lovely with turmeric, cinnamon, oat milk, MCT oil and black pepper. I also ordered the Hot Chick salad. It came out looking gorgeous. The salad tasted really good, the chicken was seasoned nicely, and I liked the different textures with the rice, the quinoa and the roasted corn. The dressing was super tasty too. When I got towards the end of my salad, my last few pieces of avocado were bad. It wasn't a dealbreaker for my experience, but I would've definitely preferred that they would've left those pieces out. Also, the little toasted cracker things tasted like cardboard, dry and flavorless. I probably should've tried scooping up some of the salad with them, but I left them on the plate. Overall, I would definitely return to this location. You cannot beat them if you are looking for something fast, casual, and healthy. Definitely not on the cheap though, my salad and latte were $34 before tip, but I don't mind paying for good quality food that is fresh and healthy.

My family was vacationing in Encinitas and stumbled upon Claire's on Cedros on our first morning while searching for an early breakfast spot. Pancakes are usually not something I get excited about - I tend to think most restaurants use the same premade mixes from the same suppliers, resulting in pancakes that are ultimately forgettable. That changed the moment I tried a bite of the pancakes my daughter ordered. I was genuinely surprised to discover what may be some of the best pancakes I've ever had. Since then, Claire's has become a breakfast tradition whenever we're in the area. Buttermilk Pancakes (OG) - 5/5. These pancakes completely changed my expectations of what a pancake can be. What makes Claire's buttermilk pancakes stand out is their depth of flavor. They have a rich, buttery character and a subtle fermented tang that give them a distinctive personality. Add a little extra butter and real maple syrup, and the flavor reaches another level. The texture is equally impressive. Unlike many restaurant pancakes that are either soggy or overly dense, these strike a near-perfect balance. They hold their shape well while remaining tender and fluffy, with just the right amount of air pockets. They're substantial without being heavy and soft without falling apart. The finishing touch is a thin ring of golden-brown crispy edges that adds both texture and extra flavor to every bite. Seasonal Lemon Ricotta Pancakes - 4.5/5. Our server recommended the seasonal lemon ricotta pancakes, and I'm glad I gave them a try. They are every bit as well-executed as the original buttermilk pancakes, with a bright citrus flavor and a richer, creamier profile from the ricotta. While I still prefer the original buttermilk version for its subtle fermented tang, these are excellent in their own right and well worth ordering if they're available. Eggs Benedict with Crispy Parmesan Risotto & Honey-Cured Bacon - 4.5/5. Once I find a favorite dish, I have a habit of ordering it repeatedly - which was becoming a problem thanks to those buttermilk pancakes. On a return visit, I made a point of trying something different and was glad I did. The standout pairing here is the crispy hash browns. This is one of those dishes where the individual components really shine when eaten together. Combining the arugula, poached egg, hollandaise sauce, and crispy hash browns creates a wonderfully balanced bite. The hash browns contribute crunch, the egg and hollandaise provide rich creaminess, and the arugula adds freshness and brightness that keeps everything from feeling too heavy. It's a thoughtfully composed dish that delivers both flavor and texture. Drinks - okay. The juices, teas, and coffee were perfectly fine - nothing remarkable, but nothing to complain about either. They do their job and complement the food well. Here are my final Thoughts. I'm so glad we discovered Claire's on Cedros. It has given me a new benchmark for what great pancakes should taste like. Even as someone who never considered pancakes a favorite breakfast item, I find myself thinking about them long after the meal is over. If we're back in Encinitas or Solana Beach, Claire's will be one of our first stops. The pancakes alone are worth the visit.
