One of my favorite spots wish I lived closer but I will drive to the city for Arigato. I love their baked rolls and casual atmosphere. This one of the newer sushi restaurants in Seattle we been going to for a while. The service is friendly and quick. You get the customary "hello" from the Chefs when you walk in. Located near the zoo and Greenlake makes it a nice place to stop by if you're in the area. There is a nice view towards the lake. The food was fresh and well portioned. A week and a half ago, I noticed that Teasome had closed and Arigato Sushi was soon to take its place. The Homie and I decided to check them out for an early dinner (7/12/23). It had just opened two days ago. The restaurant is on a Metro bus route, and limited street parking proximate to a main thoroughfare in a retail/residential area. We were seated in the back dining area with pleasant breeze coming through the adjacent deck. Menus and chilled water were provided. No standard miso soup though. I did not inquire about the availability of other beverages or later whether they had any sweets or dessert. No mention of specials either. Order was taken, items were served in a progressive fashion, and brought to our table without delay. Granted we were the only folks onsite and they were well staffed. We checked on, but pretty much service was unobtrusive. We dined with overhead music which thankfully drowned out a nearby bandsaw being used outside. Items ordered were of decent serving size and exceptional quality. I am happy when items are served at an appropriate temperature for optimal texture and flavor. Menu items included shrimp tempura (5 pieces, $14), nigiri sushi/chef's choice (5 pieces, $10), salmon belly/sake toro sashimi (3 pieces, $11), 3 negihama rolls/hamachi - yellowtail ($7 each), scallop/hotate (2 pieces, $7), and chicken wings ($13). Shrimp tempura were sizable, served crisp and piping hot atop greens with a dipping sauce. On point! The nigiri sushi app, all pieces were fresh and generously arranged. Perfect temp to savor each bite! The negihama rolls (hamachi/yellowtail) and the three slices of salmon belly (sake toro) were also satisfying, with the latter deemed as buttery. The scallop (hotate) nigiri were perfect texture. Appreciated the ample wasabi, pickled ginger, and shredded daikon that accompanied these items. The chicken wings were served hot, crispy atop salad greens. Plump drumettes and flats were devoured by The Homie. It'll be great to try their chicken karaage and their Korean style wings at another future visit. This was a worthy splurge for decent quality and service. No issues noted from the get go with this visit. With tax and tip, it was under $100. Arigato Sushi joins other Japanese businesses: Modern/Setsuko Pastry, Tokara, and Fresh Flours along the main stretch in Seattle's Phinney Ridge neighborhood. read more

Fish was super fresh tasting and it felt ~fancier~ than expected (staff in all black and classical music of sorts playing), but I still didn't feel out of place in my leggings and sweater. We came in a group of 7 and we all enjoyed our food so much. I got the Mt. Hood roll and Joy Joy. Ordered some appetizers to start and they were all so flavorful and delicious. The place is small and has a nice cozy feeling. If you're coming to eat by yourself or if you're a party of two, the outdoor seating option seemed nice too! Their menu option is great and offer a variety of different options. I'd highly recommend getting their Korean fried chicken if you decide to stop by because it's so crispy and tasty. It was not too sweet like some other places I've tried. Also, I was concerned about parking because based off of Google Maps there seemed to be none available, but there were so many close by street parking places I had no problem finding parking as soon as I got there. In my previous review I left a 1 star which I stand by. This is definitely the location as I have said prior and they definitely offered gyudon or sukiyaki at the start of there opening and again the food was very disappointing and I have no interest in changing my review on this location. Perhaps in a year or two I will try again but for now they have disappointed on levels in the food and beverage industry as well as the hospitality business. read more

I stopped in for take-out at 1:30 pm on a Friday. My order was ready in 15 minutes. I ordered a spicy tuna roll ($8), a yellow tail roll ($7), and a sashimi appetizer ($15). The sashimi was fresh--absolutely no fishy taste. I usually don't like raw salmon, but theirs was very good. The sashimi appetizer is a really good deal because the pieces are huge. The rolls are real Japanese-style rolls (maki) where the roll is small but the ratio of fish to rice is very high. You get get eight pieces per order. I will definitely go here again. read more

The service when we were there was below standard (the server was kind of ignoring us/ walking away when we mentioned how may people in our party, we waited quite a while until someone took our order, we had to get soy sauce by ourselves from the table next to us), but I don't think it was intentional. I don't think in any way that he was rude. It was either he was slammed, or he doesn't know how to manage tables. So 2 stars for the service there. And 3 stars for the food I'd say. The food is mediocre, and to be honest, it was quite overpriced for the quality we got. The fish is fresh, but the rolls and the calamari was...edible? We ordered some nigiri and sashimi appetizers, as well as deep fried stuff; and the sushi+ sashimi came out last, long after we finished our rolls. So fresh and so yummy! I absolutely love their take on the humble inari sushi. Inari is a favorite little bite of mine, usually just a sweet and vinegary little rice stuffed tofu skin pocket, but Arigato puts a delightful little twist by turning it into a roll with some fresh avocado and cucumber inside. It's pretty exciting to try a different twist on a classic! Also great is their Negihama roll, with yellowtail and green onion - the green onion gives such a fresh brightness and flavor that really set it apart. Just discovered their deep fried avocado roll tonight, and the creamy and crunchy combination was a real explosion in my mouth. Definitely a repeat order! We love this little sushi spot in our neighborhood and it's our go-to for sushi night takeout. read more

We had a spider roll, negihama roll, eel roll and the signature roll (which was covered in sesame salad dressing?). It tasted like they were trying to both cut costs and Americanize their sushi. Excessively sweet flavors and gummy rice, Krab filling in most rolls, and wasabi without a bite. It's what I would expect from a generic grocery store not an elegant new spot in Phinney Ridge... I love sushi and we have so many great sushi restaurants in Seattle. It's sad to say but I just don't understand why this place was so below the bar. read more
