What a gem. Never heard of Latin Japanese fusion but it works and it delicious. The sushi was delicious and our entrees were very yummy. The katsu curry is wonderful on a cold Chicago night. Warm and filling.

This place is so good! They have HH deals on thier margaritas, honestly whoever decided to combine Sushi and Margs is my hero.

Tsukiji is a sushi-Latin fusion restaurant with a variety of options (sushi, ramen, udon) and drinks! I got the Rumba with cream cheese (no extra charge) because the server said the Tropical does not have rice and is for people who reallllly like plantains. The chirashi don was good but expensive for what it was. Service was great. The ambiance inside was lively but intimate. Would definitely go back for the happy hour deals and to try the margaritas!

The food here is phenomenal. The mix of Mexican and Japanese flavors is done so well. Music, vibes and service was fantastic. This is definitely a repeat spot, try the Sapporo michelada!!!

This a new favorite for me. My 1st time here, I will absolutely be back. The happy hour margs were as beautiful and they were delicious. We had 2 appetizers and 2 rolls recommended by our server and they were VERY good. I can't wait to go back!

I came here for dinner on Saturday night and was seated right away. The staff were really friendly and the decor was a nice vibe. The prices are a bit high for the quality of food that they provide to you. Spicy Edamame: edamame dressed with raw spicy pepper and sesame seeds Mangonada roll $21: I see the effort in the "fusion" but I wouldn't call this sushi. Salmon Avocado roll $11: this was a good classic roll. It would be nice if there was a better rice to filling ratio. Dragon roll $21: this roll was good. Good ratios of filling to rice and ingredients were fresh. Mariscos Ramen $28: had to wait awhile for this one. The ramen came out way later than the rolls. The flavours were good. The shrimp was perfectly cooked. The scallops were so chewy and over cooked. It seems like they hard seared the scallops and then put them into hot broth to cook it again. Unfortunately, the broth was way too spicy that I had to take it home to dilute it with water to eat it. Overall, I liked the vibe. It was a bit off putting & tacky to be asked to share their restaurant online. The food was mid.

Tsukiji Sake Bar feels so welcoming the moment you walk in. The staff made us feel at home, and the food was solid across the board. The owner, Jessy, even came by our table to chat and make sure we were enjoying everything -- such a thoughtful touch that made the experience even better. Everything tasted fresh, and I especially liked the karaage and takoyaki. The salmon had a bit more sauce than I usually prefer, but I can see how others might like that style. Personally, I'd enjoy a little less sauce or dressing overall, but that's just my taste. The patio was spacious and comfortable, and I liked that the whole place had an open, roomy feel. They also have a good drink menu that paired nicely with the food. Overall, a very nice spot with a warm atmosphere and attentive service -- I'd happily go back.

Love this spot! They have a latin fusion sushi menu and drinks. Their margaritas with homemade fruit purees are spectacular! Their sushi rolls are also great! My favorites are the guacamole fusion and lime fusion rolls. The ambiance was also great! They had Latin music and it felt upbeat. Our server was nice, but the food did take a while to come out. That wasn't an issue for us, but just something to note

I've been wanting to try this spot after seeing a lot of social media posts and came during happy hour. The margaritas were too sweet, and the food items on happy hour were no difference in price. I also was charged extra for a spicy margarita. The lobster wontons were tasty with nice chunks of lobster inside. The rumba roll was interesting and weirdly sweet because of the fried plantain- I honestly wouldn't order this again. The salmon ikebukuro was fresh and delicious. Service was great and friendly. Interesting fusion concept!

I had some troubles with this restaurant. Although our server was truly really nice and offered great recommendations from the menu, the overall functioning of the restaurant was far from optimal and my particular meal wasn't very flavorful nor worth the hefty price. I booked a table for our party of 4 at 6pm Three if us arrived on time to a relatively empty restaurant, with the fourth person 15 minutes away. We were hoping to get started on drinks. We were told no matter what we wanted to order, they could not sit us until our entire party was here, despite not being busy. When we were finally sat at our table, we knew pretty quickly our entire order, but the staff could not take our entire order at once. Although I really enjoyed the guava margarita (the Mexican part of the fusion restaurant) this resulted in us waiting 20-30 minutes before we can place our apps and mains...dragging out the entire sit in experience to over 3 hours on a not busy Sunday night! There were some highlights of the food, the spicy edamame was delicious and their fatty tuna special was very smooth. However my beef curry don was pretty bland, didn't have the typical starchy potatoes in Japanese curry, and beef was minimal. It definitely was not worth the 20+ charged for it. Although the ambiance of the restaurant was dimly lit and fairly romantic, I wouldn't return give the long wait and overpriced food

Fun spot we found while on vacation in Chicago. We didn't have a reservation so did have to wait 15-20min. It's a smaller restaurant so not as much seating. They have some unique rolls. We enjoyed everything. It was very filling. Especially the chicken udon. Good flavor. Wish we had a microwave in the room for leftovers. The sushi menu has some regular favorites, but also a few unique fusion rolls. I can't remember which one this is but had a shrimp tempura base which I usually prefer a non fried roll. There were too many options to pick from and think I just picked something. Would go back if I were in the area again. The ramen also looked solid.

Absolutely amazing sushi experience! The sushi here was incredible - super fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. You can tell the chefs put a lot of care into every detail. The owners were extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. They even surprised us with a complimentary shot of sake! A Everything from the ambiance to the service was perfect. Definitely one of the best sushi spots l've been to, and I'Il 100% be coming back!

I have been to the Sushi Taku restaurant on Division countless times. I went with friends and did all-you-can-eat. My favorite item we had was the salmon and yellowtail carpaccio which we ordered separately off of the menu. It was flavorful and tasted fresh. It can be a little hard to remember all of what I ate since our group was grabbing plates based on how it looked instead of just the name. The Philadelphia roll tasted great. There were 1-2 tempura rolls which were okay. The sauce used on the octopus balls was amazing! I wish I could put that sauce on everything! It was so savory with some umami flavor as well. The creme brulee was okay, I wouldn't try it again. I think it could have had more flavor and-/or sweetness. The mochi as always was great. I almost decided to save Miru for our next visit, but I'm glad I made time for breakfast here on our departure day. Located inside the St. Regis Chicago, the restaurant offers beautiful views. The service was excellent--attentive, friendly, and professional. I ordered the Tokyo Breakfast. The salmon was perfectly cooked and paired beautifully with rice, a soft-poached egg, and salmon roe. The miso soup was slightly salty on its own, but it worked surprisingly well when enjoyed with the rice toward the end of the meal. Overall, a memorable breakfast experience. The sushi is phenomenal, as were our drinks... but the other entrees are disappointing. The karaage and duck yakisoba in particular in quality could be from any corner restaurant in Chicago. The service lends itself more casual, and I noticed they were consistently quite slow to clear our table. I don't think people come here for the food as much as the views. Overlooking Streeterville from this angle and vantage was truly jaw dropping and for this reason I still strongly recommend Miru.

The taki yoki fritters weren't bad either. We saw people getting omakase, so we ordered a yummy looking piece they were receiving. It was just okay (chutoro truffle). The nigiri was also okay. The tuna piece was the only I really loved. The fish quality wasn't as high as I was expecting. The sushi was decent. A little too much truffle in the spicy blue fin tuna and a little too vegetable forward in the hamachi serrano. All in all, the atmosphere and amazing service pushed this up to a 4 for me.
