Ttobongee (Manna Bunsik) has officially closed as of May 25th, 2025. I was a huge fan of their kimchi spam fried rice, bulgogi beef set, and bulgogi kimbap. I'd also tried their yang nyum fried chicken, Korean corn dog, dduk bok gi, tofu soup, banana milk and Soon Hari soju. The bone broth soup was so good, there were a few times when I just got a large/double order of that to go. Service was always friendly and great, and I heard that the owners are moving out of state to be closer to family due to illness. Sad to see them go. Wonder what will take its place, until then Natomas only really has the chain Bonchon left for Korean food. read more

I'm really sad to find out they are closing in two weeks! FYI they're called Manna Bunsik, not Ttobongee. I don't know why I waited so long to come here. The food is very tasty and the portions are nice. Service was very friendly too. They were so busy today they ran out of beef bulgogi but offered us a generous alternative as an apology. We finished very full and had lots of leftovers. KFC boneless: crunchy with nice strong sauces. Too salty for our palates but very tasty. Banchan: large scoops were given, our favorite was the broccoli, beef bone broth and japchae. Chicken bulgogi set and tofu soup set: both were fabulous. Chicken had a nice char, soup had large pieces of tofu. Dumpling soup: the pork mandu were very yummy. It's a large portion soup. I'm gonna try to come here a few more times before they close. I think the prices are comparable to other Korean restaurants in the Sacramento area, maybe a little cheaper. read more

I ordered through Door Dash and the quality of the food did not disappoint. My only complaint was the fries were extremely soggy. I love the crispy chicken. It was definitely extra crispy. The chicken had a dry rub, which is what I prefer. It was very juicy and tender. I highly recommend this. The maip dak was not bad, although I expected a spicier sauce rather than a sweet sauce. It was very juicy and tender as well; however, I prefer the crispy chicken. I love the tofu soup set with beef and seafood. It came with 3 sides, steamed rice, and 2 crispy mandu. Ordered the 9pc soy garlic wings and the galbi combo, and it was roughly around $45. That was little steep in my opinion. The flavor of the wings were great. Slightly sweet, and savory. But when I think of Korean fried chicken I think of crispy/crunchy wings. These were just soft. And not even because the sauce made them soggy, they were just not crisp at all. So that was a miss for me. The gable combo was just ok. Came with a decent amount of meat but the sides weren't my favorite. The kimchi had an off taste, and the japchae definitely wasn't fresh. Almost as if it was previously refrigerated and they tried to heat it up to make it palatable to serve but the noodles were still stuck together. The rice had a hard patch on it so you can tell it was just over exposed to heat just sitting in the rice cooker that it dried out. The bean sprouts were tasty though and the broccoli still had a good crunch. I'm glad it wasn't over cooked. The restaurant space is quaint. And we had came in on a Saturday afternoon and there was only one other table there prior to us. So we were able to sit anywhere and our food came out at a reasonable time. Came here on a Wednesday for lunch and it wasn't really busy. Came mainly for the lunch combos and kimbap. I got the boneless garlic soy chicken lunch combo with a tuna kimbap on the side. I love how it came with different banchans, kimchi, bean sprouts, broccoli, japchae, gyoza, and rice. The chicken was nice and juicy and still crunchy. Me and my girls love to try new Korean spots around the city and my oldest went here on her own one day and brought some back. I tried it and immediately knew I'd be trying them myself. They were out of something and I can't recall what it was but they were nice enough to give some sauces and radish on the side. They're a smaller spot with some pretty cool wall decor, it was nice and clean inside and staff is friendly and helpful. Sodukk sodukk: B Two skewers of crispy rice cake and mini sausages, covered with a sweet and slightly spicy sauce. This place was decent but we had higher expectations. The decor was super authentic and had soju posters with kpop stars all over the walls. The service was very friendly and patient with us as we figured out what to order at the counter. I asked if I can get all flats and they were able to customize that for me. Comparing with Vons Chicken and Bonchon, the taste of the yang nyum chicken here is pretty one-note; very ketchup-driven and spiciness is minimal. Not my fave, but I do like that the chicken here in general is tender and quite meaty (some of the chicken drum pieces that I got were full-on humungo drumsticks lol). As for sides, the French fries have a good subtle garlic taste to them. Flavorful kimchi spam fried rice (also comes with a nicely fried egg on top!). Super friendly lady at the ordering counter. Small interior but there are a few tables if you want to eat your chicken fresh out of the fryer. Ordered 2 short rib plates and a spicy pork plate. Came out to about $60. Spicy Pork: Good flavor, not too sweet, would get again. Galbi (short rib): Have had better but was still good and satisfying. I enjoyed all the side dishes that accompanied the plates: daikon, jap chae (although noodles were noticeably over cooked), broccoli, and kim chee. This place hit the spot for korean fried chicken. Wasn't too busy on a late Friday night. Food came out very quickly especially since we ordered fried chicken. I came back to try this place and was slightly disappointed. My partner and I dined in this time instead of doing takeout. Fortunately, the server was so sweet. I must say that the portion size has gotten significantly better. So I do commend them on that! I like a spicier flavor , the japchae is pre-made. It had lots of black pepper in it, and I end up returning it after trying it on my sampler because I ordered it for my 1 year old son who found it too spicy. The tofu soup was AMAZING THOUGH! It came with many sides(jab chae being one of them), which I love. The Tteokboki was soft and had a good flavor. I do enjoy the one from Deluna cafe on the other side of the movie theater, though. Came in on a Wednesday night before seeing a movie. Service was not great, and it was a little busy, but that's no excuse to not acknowledge customers waiting in line. My boyfriend and I ordered separately before my mom and brothers did, and they were standing there waiting to even be acknowledged for 10+ minutes. I understand being stressed because it's busy but the least you can do as a cashier is say "thank you for your patience, I'll be right with you". My mom and brothers got tired of waiting and left which sucked since we all wanted to enjoy a meal together. I didn't blame them for leaving though. Onto the food... Well first let's start with the fact that we waited a good 25 minutes for our food, which again felt ridiculously long. I was regretting even ordering and wished I had left with my family to get something else. I ordered the original fried chicken plate (4 wings soy garlic flavor, japchae, broccoli, bean sprout, kimchi, and rice) and my boyfriend got the crispy chicken combo (6 wings and fries). We both thought the chicken was bland and even with mine being soy garlic, it did not taste like soy garlic I've had at other Korean friend chicken places. It wasn't very crispy either. The japchae texture wasn't good and tasted bland too. Everything on my plate just tasted bland, no real flavor to anything besides the kimchi. Food was pretty disappointing considering I hadn't eaten all day and was looking forward to a good meal. Lastly the price was the kicker, the amount of food we got for almost $35 was laughable. I could get a better tasting and bigger meal elsewhere for the same price or cheaper. Overall a disappointing experience. I would've gave 2 stars to be generous, but the fact the cashier didn't acknowledge my family after standing in line for so long and then standing at the counter for even longer rubbed me the wrong way. We came here on a weekend because we were craving Korean fried chicken. Upon entering. We were greeted immediately. We chose to dine-in. You order at the cashier then find a place to sit. We ordered 15 pieces all wings half original and half green onion with a side of fries. We got the in house soup for dining in and a side of clear rice noodle japchae (with some extra to take home) which was super good btw. Waiter asked if we would like ranch or ketchup for fries no charge. The flavor of the wings itself was super bland - great texture but needed something. We were looking for hot sauce or any other condiments for flavor but couldn't find any. Also, we didn't realize when you order the original flavor it comes with fries so we had double the amount but that's ok, we just took the rest home. 3/5 for fried chicken - maybe should try another flavor next time but 5/5 for service. Was excited when I saw that they had a location in Natomas but skeptical because of the name change to Manna Bunsik. The verdict is this place is delicious !! I ordered the 9 piece fried chicken, half crispy and half yangnyum. Had to wait about 15 minutes but was well worth it. Chicken came out hot. The yangnyum sauce was so good, tangy, has a subtle spiciness, addictive. I think I would opt for the soy garlic next time because the crispy didn't have a ton of flavor but it was still delicious. The guy that took our order in the front and served us was so friendly !! My husband and I saw this pop up on Yelp a few times and decided to give it a try. We love Korean Fried Chicken and we're excited to have another option close to home. We went with a Half Order of Ttobongee chicken and a Half Order of Maip Dak chicken as well as an order of fries and the Sodduk Sodduk. I ordered at the front counter to go (we stopped while running errands) and they let us know it would be about twenty minutes. The employee at the counter was very nice and gave some recommendations, I have a few items that I can't wait to try next time! One thing we learned is that there is a Combo Chicken (drum & wings), Wings only or a Boneless option. This time we chose one Wings and one Combo Chicken and we liked the Combo better because the drumstick was delicious. I think we'll definitely try boneless next time too. The chicken was hot and crispy and the flavors were great. When they send the to-go order home with you they make sure the wings are uncovered and our fries had vent holes in the container so the fried food didn't get soggy and this helps so much! The Sodduk Sodduk (rice cakes and sausage) was delicious too, but for us the chicken outshined it. The top items on my list for next visit are the Galbi (beef short ribs), the boneless chicken and more of their side order items. We'll absolutely be back soon! read more

You have the option of order a while order or a half order - and you can select wings, drums, or a mix. I love little chicken wings, and this place fries them up perfectly. The wings are have a perfect fry with seasoning that is delicately done. The Korean corn dog was a revelation! It's unlike your usual corn dog in that it is light and crispy on the outside. The inside is oozing with melted cheese. There's a little ham sausage right in the middle for you to find. If you want more traditional Korean fare, that's on the menu too. I had the clear noodles and it came in a very large portioned bowl. I couldn't even finish it and had to get it to go in a box. It's a small place so it wouldn't be the best for big parties. My husband and I love Korean fried chicken and have been to many places and when we ordered, they were very strict on no substitutions which is very sad because you can't get the soy garlic unless you want to buy a whole separate plate of it. Their split flavors are limited and could be flavors you don't even want together. We got the combo #3 and it came with one small plate of rice and we also ordered a side of fries. Our total came out to be almost $40! The wings were so dainty, so small, and seemed like something I can buy a bag from at Costco. It is pretty small inside so plan on ordering Togo. I tried following: Extra Crunchy boneless chicken; tender crunchy chicken with a good spicy kick.
