For Ambiance during Christmas this place is 5-stars. I was in before the holiday and things looked lovely. For menu coherence, I'd drop that to three-stars. Gyoza? This is not a fusion restaurant. Seafood gumbo? Makes no sense. There are other examples. I feel as if the chef doesn't know what he wants the menu to be. I had the risotto. It was a bit underwhelming. There was no unctuous creaminess that should have been there. The prices are typical for other bougie Italian restaurants in the area; although, the prices here are not as ridiculous as Riccardo's. I'm on this mission to eat my way through the menu at Tucci. I've been going consistently for the last 8 weeks or so 1-2 times per week. Their Caesar salad is the best I can find! Their boar pappardelle is INSANE! My comfort zone is their spaghetti and meatballs cause I love the leftovers. Their bruschetta is such a yummy shareable. Had the gnocchi last night and it was soft pillowy heaven. Greg, the owner, works almost every day as the host. He greets you with a smile and I LOVE that he cares enough to that first and last impression. The bartender Michael is phenomenal - remembers me, what I like, how I like it, knows my drink order, and can manage that bar like no one... and the staff is so friendly all around! The setting is intimate with low lighting and great for a date, a work dinner, or dining for one (as is common for me). Lido Bar, attached, is perfect to pull up a seat and relax while watching the two tvs with different sports always on. Highly highly recommend! No reason not to give Tucci 5 stars. We came for happy hour but ended up ordering the Duck Bruschetta off the regular menu because...yeah. It was amazing and well worth it. We showed up around the time they opened at 4 pm for a nice early happy hour and they've got great options. The regular menu does look a little pricey but the pasta dishes sound delicious. Cocktails were on point and a nice ambiance, located in a kind of ritzy area in Lake Oswego, tons of little shops and places to eat nearby. We will be back to try their pasta! read more

Solid 4. I was a bit hesitant when I saw Italian and Chinese items on the menu. But maybe that's just something you have to do in a small town to appeal to the masses...? The service staff was young and energetic (but not overly attentive - but that might be due to staffing issues as I think our waitress was handling most of the restaurant). Wine list was small but still had some good choices. Caesar salad: tons of flavor, just the right amount of dressing and very fresh / crisp lettuce. Wild Bore pasta: pasta was perfectly al dente and the wild bore sausage made in house had just the right amount of spice. The only negative to this dish is that it had way too many capers and fresh garlic in it. Lasagna special: very good lasagna. Noodles weren't soggy as is the case with some restaurant lasagna. Tomato sauce tasted fresh. The garlic bread was a bit overdone (which is great because it kept me from eating all of it ) but still had good flavor. read more

Had a lovely dinner here! One of my friends was visiting from out of town and we were in the mood for some carbs. She recently just got a new job so we had to celebrate. What better way to start the night than a bottle of wine? We decided on the Chianti, which paired nicely with our meal. They also have a decent selection of cocktails to choose from. We ordered the chopped salad, salsiccia pizza, carbonara, and gnocchi. Everything was pretty darn tasty. Definitely want to come back and try their other dishes! Atmosphere: The inside looked nice but we were seated outside and I am so glad! They made it really nice with the lights and the decorations. Have a very cozy, comfortable atmosphere. Food: Ordered the Mushroom and Prosciutto Spaghetti and it was a good portion for what you pay. The flavors were all there, and the pasta wasn't dry. The prosciutto was just placed on top after everything was cooked which made the dish a little too salty. I wish the prosciutto was incorporated and cooked into the spaghetti. Used to love this place. Had very bad experience yesterday. Staff was rude, the host first apologized for that staff, then yelled at us that if we did not like it there, we should leave. Not sure if they were understaffed and stressed because of the snow or did not like that my partner was using a walker. Their space was poorly designed for that. Very concerned that disabled people are not welcome there. Our mood was ruined. Have not experienced such rudeness anywhere else. Will not be surprised if they are on their way out of business. Overpriced and sub par. Carbonara was almost 30 dollars and not good. In addition if you just want a side of bread the only option is ordering the $12 garlic bread. The reviews here are pretty accurate from my experience. If in LO, Tucci is probably the Italian place to go. We went last night. Service was very good. Everyone very friendly. Drinks were excellent. The food, however, was mixed. My crab cocktail was not good. The presentation was odd and my stomach churned all night after I ate it. The Brussels Sprouts were salty - something that other reviewers have raised. Another person in our party experienced barely completely cooked chicken. Others in our party ranged from "very good" to "pointing out something that was out of place but the rest of the dish was very good. Was it worth the trip? If in LO I would likely go back, but PDX has some wonderful Italian restaurants that blow Tucci out of the water, but they require driving into town and battling parking. If Tucci can fix its inconsistency in the menu preparation(service and drinks are exceptional) they can rise to a better place. read more

It was my birthday, and we had an amazing time. The wine was delicious, the meals were so flavorful - and the ambience was fantastic. The only real reason it's not a 5* is because my chicken was dry (but not my husband's) and my noodles were slightly undercooked (but not my father's noodles) - so I know it was only MY meal that suffered, but the flavors were on point. We had such a great time at this little Restaurant the other night. We made reservations and they were right on time. I haven't been here to Tuccis for a long time, and I had forgotten about with a small hidden gem it is. We decided we wanted to go in after hearing that their restaurant had been robbed, to support the local business. The prices are really reasonable and the staff was lovely and very welcoming. We were not served by just one, Michael, who was lovely, but the entire team and chef Vinnie even came out to share his opinions about the menu and offered suggestions and then once again to show us the ingredients that he was putting in our food and allow us to smell and taste the mushrooms that had been forage the day before and the greens and other vegetables that were "in the dirt yesterday". The prices are so reasonable. We started with two blood orange old fashioneds and moved to a bottle of wine and small plates of each of cauliflower, zucchini and carrots. All of the veggies were incredible and we gobbled them up before I could even take decent photos. Our entrées were just as impressive and Vinny most certainly did himself proud. We then took advantage of their dessert menu and ordered their cheesecake Pana cotta and their Apple crisp to go. We had the Apple crisp the first night and it was to die for, we had the panna cotta the next evening and it was equally as mouthwatering. We recently moved to the area and love this place! We've gotten several different dishes, all were incredible. This had my absolute favorite fettuccine Alfredo I've ever had in my entire life. It's the perfect flavor. I will probably forever order that dish. Cocktails are always one point, blood orange old fashioned (I think) is one of my favorites. All of the cocktails I've tried are well balanced. Every staff member we've come in contact with has been amazing. There's super cute outdoor seating, nice indoor seating, and then perfect date night seating with low lights and a darker yummy atmosphere. This place literally has it all. I came here once a few years ago and thought that the filet mignon was some of the best steak I have ever had. Unfortunately, things have changed a bit. The steak is now served medallion style and it was incredibly salty. $43 for 3 small pieces of filet with no sides seems a bit ridiculous in my opinion. I also ordered the potato & leek soup that was on special and it was delicious. We also ordered the calamari from the happy hour menu. It was super tasty, but again, very salty. The service was great, our waiter was very friendly and attentive. I would eat here again, but I definitely wouldn't order the steak. Not worth it. Had a truly awful dinner experience here last night (had come previously 2 years ago and don't recall such an awful experience). Waiter was disinterested in any form of service or checking on our table. First - our very very young sever made recommendations of specials to order, only to come back 15 min later to tell us (after we placed the order) that they had run out of what he had recommended (and we had ordered). We then proceeded to receive our cocktails which were awfully made (spicy mango vodka and Marion-berry vodka- not drinkable) For dinner we had the crab cakes (so fishy and taste as though they were not fresh so we did not even eat them) and a beet salad. Service took so long (to even ask for water) that we didn't order anything else and after another 15 min of waiting for the server to check back on us we asked for the check. I had gone about 8 months ago, and I left disappointed and not at all satisfied with the food or the service, specially for the prices.
