I don't know if they changed owners or chefs, but everything was very good this last time I went. I had gone about 8 months ago, and I left disappointed and not at all satisfied with the food or the service, specially for the prices. This time the food and service were very good and the best thing is that they now have tiramisu! Now I do recommend this restaurant and I hope to return soon :) read more

This is one of the better Italian restaurants in Lake Oswego. Certainly not the best I've been to but good enough for when you have cravings. It's a bit on the pricey side for what you get but if you go during happy hour between 4:30PM-6:00PM it's worthwhile. The restaurant has a cozy feel, especially at the bar area where there's a fireplace and a TV right above it that I noticed tend to play old movies. There are two TVs at the bar counter area where some sort of sports or news channel is on. Parking is either on the street or their back lot. When we come here, we usually order several items and share. Our last visit, we had: - Blood Orange Old Fashion - Baked cheese - Italian sausage - Ravioli - Risotto special - Affogato I wasn't thrilled with the baked cheese but everything else was pretty darn tasty. I prefer their house pasta over their pasta classico because I like fresh pasta more. Their cocktail was a bit strong for my liking, so I usually order wine. If you like strong drinks, then this is where you want to be. Michael the bartender is great and always remember his regulars. He may come off as brisk and unfriendly but he's efficient and always get the order right without writing anything down. Ryan S. was our server last time and he was super friendly and attentive. Tucci's has a very nice vibe. The hosts are very polite as well as the servers. Not a lot of pretentiousness going on here. The food has always been good. Not much else to say other than it's awesome. You see people in casual dress with kids as well as more dressed up. I think dressier more so than casual is probably most appropriate. This was my second time and the food, service and ambiance were wonderful. I was with 3 others and We all loved it. I had an encounter at the end of the evening and want to thank your employee (sorry, didn't get his name). I really needed the rest room and walked back with my friend, who was also crossing her legs. I said - "go go! i'll get the next one". The other one was occupied too. I waited. I'm a 70 year old 5 ft tall woman. A large man came into the narrow restroom hallway. As he twisted & tornadoed past me, I said -"it's occupied". He still juggled the knob and made a kind of kerfuffling sound like a boar sucking up wet moss. i backed up. He harrumphed down the hall. A worker guy came into the hall and told the man there was a third bathroom down the hall. And as happy as i was when he left, i was still trying not to pee. after i was relieved I thought about the situation and what I should have done. It always seems to be the same. I wait at the deli counter, and the tall guy, clearly behind me in line, gets helped first. I thought i had been overlooked again, so I got up my nerve to say something. As i came back to the dining room, i saw the worker guy. I said "you gave the guy the 3rd room. I was next in line." As i tried to walk away, the worker guy said "wait a minute". I stopped and he said it wasn't like that. He said the guy was further down the hall so it looked like he was next. He didn't overlook me. Thank you for seeing & connecting with me. I like this place and I want it to be excellent, but I come away feeloing it's, well, very overpriced. Very few entrees are under $32 and those don't make me feel like I'm getting my money's worth. the staff is very friendly, but the service is slow. (maybe get some more kitchen staff?) I had the Mongolian beef, which was over $30 and it was a very disappointing plate. Half of the plate was absolutely plain white rice and then the beef. NO VEGETABLES, no garnish. Tasted ok, but absolutely didn't feel like I got my money's worth. read more

We chose Tucci for a birthday dinner after having been to all of the DTLO usual spots recently. It was a warm night and we opted to sit inside for some cold air, but we were right next to the adorable al fresco area. Our large booth easily fit 6 adults. The staff was very accommodating as we had to lie to the birthday girl to make a surprise guest work! Overall, I really loved the ambiance of this place. The food and drink were good and next time I would want to explore the menu more-get multiple things to share! We started with drinks-I had a dirty martini (which was not great, not very dirty) and a marionberry vodka drink, which was great! The apps were lackluster compared to the entrees, but the risotto fritters and garlic bread were still delish, just forgettable. Main courses though, oh baby! I had the spaghetti nero with the crab and it was soooo great! I sampled from the plates of friends the gnocchi special, gumbo, and mushroom/prosciutto pasta- all very good! Overall, well priced, cute spot with good food! I would love to come back here again. read more

The host should be fired! He was absolutely horrible. That is a customer's first impression. He was rude. We attended a birthday gathering for twelve people, on a Monday night. They could have pushed tables together in the middle of the dining area which would have allowed the group to celebrate together. Instead they sat us at three tables completely separate. There was no attempt to try to accommodate the guests. It was very awkward. The host was responsible for the seating situation and did not want to go out of his way to try and be a considerate human being. The food, the server, the bartender were all fine. If we had been able to sit together and actually feel like we were celebrating two birthdays (which is why we were there) I would probably recommend this place. Get rid of the host! read more

I've eaten here before and been quite pleased. However this last time, we called in an order for take out. I had risotto and my husband had pizza. We were disappointed. We understand that food which we had to reheat will not be as tasty as if fresh at the restaurant, but the taste just wasn't up to par. Ok here goes..... Wow. The food is awesome. We started with the calamari appetizer because we were celebrating my mother in laws birthday and I knew how much Betty loves her seafood. It was fresh like wow. The plate size was small in my opinion though. And if you guys like seafood....whoever their supplier is is spot on with bringing in really fresh products. The halibut is amazing. Betty had a seafood fettuccine that was amazing. They nailed their red sauce, or should I say gravy? We split the almond cake for dessert and when I mentioned that we were celebrating a birthday we ended up with 3 desserts for one price so kudos for that!!!!!! Tucci is what we decided on for our date night. A triple date night. I looked up restaurants and found this place and after looking at the photos and the menu, we all decided to give it a shot. It was great! Our server was Craig, who was awesome. He was knowledgeable and fun. He had a good answer for all of our questions. We started with calamari, roasted cauliflower, and risotto fritters. Right away I knew the whole meal was going to be delicious. Everything was so good. Drinks as well. I got the house-made gnocchi and it was pillowy heaven. My boyfriend got the gumbo, someone else got the pea & bacon pasta and everything was delicious - will definitely be back. They're also very clean and seem to be sanitizing as they should and taking precautions since we are still in a pandemic. read more

The shrimp scampi pasta was mediocre since it was way more on the tomato side. The desserts are ok as well. A happy hour order of sautéed shrimp for $14 which was four tiny cocktail shrimp served with a small strip of white rice with some spicy orange sauce that wasn't that great, a side Cesar that had a freakish amount parmesan and limp lettuce. My sister ordered a side salad and specifically asked for no onions on it, when the server brought it with onions and she mentioned it he said "can't you pick them off?" Typical Lake Oswego snob bs. This was a date night. The umbrellas on the patio lit up on the canopy into a bright a cheerful yellow. We would have sat outside, but we were in the mood for a bit less light. The place was busy... but there weren't any children. This is a great place to bring friends and family alike... and might I add there is no corking fee, which is a very sweet bonus indeed! I will glow now about the food. We ordered risotto fritters, very similar to a Mac and cheese ball but oozing with a luscious cheese and contained within a perfect, golden ball fried to perfection. Because we arrived during happy hour, they were discounted, but they were the same size as a full menu serving. The wild boar pappardelle was something of legends! The boar was prepared into a sausage, and due to the cooking they were not gamy at all. The rich tomato and wine and garlic made this into an ultimate delicacy. The noodles were huge, wide and ribbonous things! The whole dish was a true delight and a MUST HAVE here! You will NOT go hungry if you try this. All of the food did look amazing in the pasta section, and I will come back to try the vegetarian gnocchi! (My carnivore partner agreed it sounded wonderful!) The only reason I did not give it five stars was because we both ordered a banana bread sundae with vanilla gelato and a special candied cherry and REAL house made caramel sauce, but my partner swears his banana bread was burnt (it is cut very thinly). But I think they used a dark molasses in the bread that made it appear burnt, though it wasn't. Losing a star aside, I WILL be back with my in-laws to give it another gander. We came here because we received a gift card. The food was solid--good, but not special. We got the minnestrone soup, ceasar salad, shrimp scampi, and peanut butter pie. I liked the soup a lot. I didn't care much for the pie, basically a big lump of peanut butter. I got the house manhattan cocktail and it was strong, which was good, but it wasn't anything special. Service was very good. We sat outside under the heat lamp, which was nice and cozy. For the price, I don't think it's worth it. The portions were huge. I would rather have smaller portions and have it cost less. read more

This is my favorite local spot! The food is always amazing (steak, lasagna, Gorgonzola salad!) oh and the peanut butter pie! Sometimes we stop in just for that! The service is also excellent, they will go out of their way to make you feel like you are their only guest. Even the drinks are top notch! They will make an effort to know your name. People that leave bad reviews because they didn't get the table they wanted, the reservation they wanted or because they had to wait 5 minutes for a table should try Taco Bell. My husband and I came for date night and sat at the bar. We were waited on by Michael, the bar manager and he is ON POINT! We never waited for drinks (even water) and he got our food orders in immediately. We shared the meatballs, pan seared dumplings, risotto fritters and the gnocchi with ground sausage. My husband treated 2 of his employees and their significant others to dinner for the holidays. The ambiance was nice - cozy and quaint. We got some appetizers (bacon wrapped dates, garlic bread, and fritters) which were all good. Some of the dinners included risotto di pollo and gnocchi - both of which were very very salty, Alfredo - which was ok, Mongolian beef - ok, and Aglio e Olio which was good. We also had 2 bottles of wine. The waiter dropped off the dessert menus and soon after, one of the people in our party accidentally hit a glass of red wine that went all over the table and my pants. It was very obvious that wine spilled everywhere as the napkins and tablecloth was saturated and mound up on our table. Our waiter (or any other staff) never came over to help us or clean up. I asked for a glass of club soda to get the wine out of my pants and the waiter brought it over - but still never cleaned up the table or offered to help. Instead he asked for our dessert order. We ordered dessert and when he brought it, he placed it on the wine soaked mounded of napkins and wet tablecloth! I was once a server and NEVER would I have my customers sitting at a table with wet linens like that. I didn't want to look like a picky person in front of my husband's colleagues, but I was beyond irritated that nothing was done to clean that up. Even for the amount of money we spent and the expectation of a good tip, the waiter just let us sit there in a mess. read more

We were excited to try this restaurant but unfortunately we were disappointed. The waiter was very aloof, uninterested and frankly not very good at service. I ordered seafood risotto. It was basically a broth soup with raw, uncooked rice. There was an enormous octopus tentacle in the center. Very unappetizing to look at and even worse to eat. The waiter brought the wrong wine. He didn't offer to correct his mistake. My husband was kind enough to let me have the rest of his fettuccine Alfredo. It was not great. How do you mess up noodles?
