Stopped in to Tumble 22 after going to a street fair in Georgetown nearby. Really hot and humid day to be at a street fair so we were toast by the time we exited at Tumble 22. Stop for some drinks, some loaded fries, a spicy chicken sandwich, cobb salad and a combo platter with spicy chicken, mac and cheese and more fries. All were really tasty and filling after a hot day in the sun. Service was great. We bought three slices of pie to split later at home. Will definitely consider Tumble 22 in the future.

Ok I give up on this place. My third visit. Rotten potatoes in the potato salad and what wasn't rotten was under cooked. I understand now what they're doing. I like boned chicken without a bunch of sauce. Their chicken doesn't have a good flavor without sauce. That's black rotten potatoes.

First time at this location and great experience with my online pickup order . Starting from the warm greeting to being pleasantly redirecting me to the right pickup location, the crew had a great vibe. The food was great - chicken fries and coleslaw .. Plenty of parking outside , no drive thru , online ordering was quick and smooth and on time!

I got the lil og & my man got the orange chicken sandwich of the month 10/10. I loved the fries & the comeback sauce was interesting. the pie was super good & fluffy. I got the chocolate pie & my man got the peanut butter pie which was way too peanut buttery for my liking but he loved it. overall the service was super good, super clean & super cute inside. the sweet tea was also really good!

Tumble 22 is a local favourite from what I gather. It's also exclusively a small TX chain restaurant. This location is one of the four near the Austin area. Chicken is their specialty, specifically Breaded Hot Chicken. This location is joined at the hip with Via 313 Pizza, which looked a bit confusing from the outside. I thought they were the same restaurant until I attentively took a second glance. Not the largest of venues, but it does have a good amount of seating. They have a full bar along with bar seating as well. Parking is not an issue, ton of parking available outside and around. #ChickenSando: ~ LIL' O.G. - 4.5 Generous portions. Everything is BIGGER in TX! This was the LIL' O.G. NOT the regular O.G. Still a good size Chicken Breast Sandwich. Perfectly Crispy with Coleslaw, Pickles and Mayo. Good stuff. ~ w/ SEVE'S COLLARD GREENS - 4.5/5 Tasty Collard Greens, not bitter or fired! Good size portion for a side. #Sugar: ~ CHOCOLATE CREAM PIE - 3.5/5 Not for me...This looked amazing. Unfortunately I thought it looked much better than it tasted. A ton of Cream...not much else. Rejoice Whipped Cream lovers, which is not I...

We ordered dinner the other night and it did not disappoint. Their online ordering was pretty simple, their prices were pretty reasonable and my order was nicely packed and ready to go when they promised. All our chicken (Thighs and Tenders) were all absolutely fresh and delicious. We all don't care for spicy foods so we opted for the whimpy version. The Fries were crispy despite the 30min travel home and the Mac & Cheese was so nice and creamy. Unfortunately, I didn't care much for the Collard Greens because they were quite spicy. The Pecan Pie was excellent. I'll definitely be back in the future to try other items on their menu.

I wish there was a 3 1/2 star because I feel that that's what it is for this location but my kids love this place! I was embarrassed to say that I haven't tried it when it was so hyped lol I love hot chicken! I love spicy chicken! My favorite is Gus and Hattie Bs in Las Vegas only and so my standard is really high, but I've heard such great things about Tumble 22 and everyone's comparing it to those two places and saying it's better so I was so excited. I got to try this on the last day of school and of course our kids wanted to go there and we went for lunch. Of course I had to get the half bird because then you can get all the pieces and see how it is. I heard it was really spicy so I just did the hot the one that they said that jalapeño comes without the seeds because I heard it's really spicy and I just want a little bit of the spice and I did not want the Korean flavored which my daughter got because I like my chicken with a dry rub. So we all ordered our food, it was a late lunch and we had another one coming on the way so we added the chicken Cobb salad for her and my mistake, I should've gotten the larger one because the regular one is not as good a deal. Our waiter was super nice super attentive. The food came out fresh and hot. I liked it. The fries were crispy and fresh. Chicken wasn't bad but it wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be, but maybe people hyped it up because it wasn't as wow as I thought it would be maybe I got the wrong thing cause my other son usually gets the boneless and he raves about that but it wasn't bad. I didn't eat the pickles or the bread that comes with it so I gave it to the kids. The slaw was fine. The salad I was told it was underwhelming. This is the second time she got it. It was all right. The pies were not it and kinda pricey for pies coming in a slice, but they weren't that great at all sadly. A bit stale. Overall it's fine. The price wasn't too bad. It's for what you get. I think my standards might be a little high thinking back to the HattieBs in Las Vegas and Gus's in town, even though I haven't been to it in a long time, but I may give this one a try again because it wasn't bad and it was a cute place with high stools and fun atmosphere. There's another location. I wonder if that one's better in Austin ‍ but this one in round overall not bad.

I wanna say that service here is superb! I talked to the manager here and he was so helpful when I was having some issues placing an online order. They were so kind. I got the szechuan loaded fries (free if you make an account), the two boneless thighs hot and the chicken sandwich. The chicken itself is not very spicy (tried the mild and hot) but it is crispy and light. I got the coleslaw as a side and really enjoyed it! The loaded fries don't taste szechuan but had the distinct taste of wasabi which wasn't bad just I wasn't expecting that.

Full disclosure: I'm a T22 fan of longstanding, but mostly familiar with the Burnet Road location. I was interested to check out the one in Round Rock. Happy to report it's just as good as the original. Funky chicken decor, friendly servers, and excellent chicken that arrives at your table very quickly yet always seems straight out of the fryer. I like the Happy Hour menu, available from 4-6, when I don't want a big meal. Sometimes, like today, I'm fine with a single piece or a few tenders and a single side. I'm in love with their Broccoli Salad, but went for variety today and remembered how good the Collard Greens are, with a bit of a spicy kick and random chunks of ham. These people do chicken right.

Has the service at this location gotten better yet? Nope! For sure no!!?

Last time we were there it was excellent. I guess we all can have a bad day. Labor shortages really hurt my industry too.

Does the potato salad contain any milk/lactose (i'm good with eggs)?

Hello, Samantha. Unfortunately our potato salad is not lactose free!

Do they have an outdoor patio and allow dogs?

They have a Semi outdoor area that is Screened from the weather. Sorry I am not sure about the pet policy. I would call and ask.

I knew better when I seen buddy put a sealed bag of cooked helotes in water to warm it, that this was 50/50 on good, but DAMN. The chicken tenders, tasty. Juicy & not small. The plain is basically like eating a canes tender.. boring. The lemon pepper & bbq ones were a lil better but very light on the flavor. Like, very light. Mid at best. The sweet potato waffle fries, fkn trash! They HAD to have been warmed/prepped in a microwave bc there isnt a CRISP to be found. Soggy and undercooked. The white mac. Horrible. Bagged boiled noodles & 50 gallons of cheese sauce that has not a pinch of flavor. It was so gross. But the one that made me spit out my food & write this review was having to wring the grease outta my "Texas Toast". 1st of all why tf do you use toast to line the bottom of the chicken box & seal it up?? I rolled a tender into a piece of bread & took a bite & it was like a mouth of melted butter. I was immediately grossed out. I literally smashed & smooshed the toast, wringing it out & it was like a wet towel. Dripping w grease. That was it for me. This was a definite waste of money!! Idk how this place was so packed!!!!

This is a good place that shoots itself in the foot with klutzy self-representation…read more. They call themselves a virtual kitchen located within Urban Chicken. They are NOT a virtual kitchen - and it is just as well that they are not a virtual kitchen. They make it sound like Chronic Fries is borrowing space from Urban Chicken. Chronic Fries is not "borrowing space" from Urban Chicken. The two institutions are one and the same. The menu for one is printed on the back of the menu for other. They may have a complicated ownership structure - But that does not get around the fact that this is simply a fast food restaurant where you can order both chicken and fries. * * * I don't see why Chronic Fries would want to be a virtual kitchen. Virtual kitchens are awful antiseptic places where there is no place to sit down. In a virtual kitchen, you get your food from a numbered box. In a virtual kitchen, there is screen against a wall from which you order. Otherwise, you use your phone. It takes effort to make contact with a human being. Virtual Kitchens are total THX 1138. Virtual kitchens s**k. * * * Chronic Fries/Urban Chicken is a nifty place for a fast food restaurant. They have tons of seating both indoors and outdoors. The crowd is heavily college-age which may or may not be collegiate. The crowd is diverse the way Round Rock is diverse. The crowd has a lot of church kids the way Round Rock has a lot of church kids. My male companion and I were the oldest people in the place. Virtual kitchens don't have crowds - let alone young ones. * * * The fries are super-duper. (Okay, for a college aged place, I probably should have used a term less dated than "super-duper".) For the maximum french fry bliss experience, get any version with chicken on top. Some versions give you chicken automatically. All versions let you order chicken on top as an add-on. Urban Chicken does a good chicken And what goes on your French Fries will be top notch. We got three kinds of fries. The standout was the BBQ Mac and Cheese Fries. Hot Cheetos Fries were just what they sound like. The sides that don't have much Hot Cheetos on them are not all that interesting. You get to the part with industrial quantities of ground up Hot Cheetos on top and, Suddenly things start to go live action. Plain macaroni and cheese fries are not that exciting by themselves. But they sell about half a dozen sauces to put on top of your macaroni and cheese fries. Some of those look like they could make a real compelling argument That they belong on your fries If your toppings are not exotic enough already. * * * Just for the record, they also run a soft-serve operation. That soft-serve operation offers milk shakes as a possible beverage. Thumbs up on the soft serve milk shakes. Their version of an Oreo Milkshake has about a truckload of Oreo crumbs dumped on top. On a milkshake that means that the crumbs end up all on the bottom with your maraschino cherry. Why oh why, in the 21st century, do we still have to put up with maraschino cherries? Why oh why, in the 20th century, the 19th century, the 18th century or any century that you can possibly think of, do we still have to put up with maraschino cherries? The church kids eating at the various tables around you can probably explain to you that because Eve ate the Apple in the Garden of Eden - and Adam ate the apple too - that they were thrown out of the Garden of Eden - and forced to have maraschino cherries on top of their desserts. God's love and the Forgiveness of Jesus Christ gives you the really good Oreo Milkshake that surrounds that maraschino cherry. I have no idea if that theology is sound ... But the Oreo milkshake is objectively good And the difficulty of sucking up those Oreo crumbs with your straw Is the exact equivalent of attaining heaven merely by the force of good works. * * * First rate fries. First rate toppings. First rate drinks. A corporate office with an identity problem. And religious people to talk to in the seats If the fries inspire you to seek a higher way. * * * What's not to like? (Outside of the identity problem.)

My wife was especially excited--she's been wanting gizzards for a while (not sure why!), but I stuck to non-organ as I am a normal human being. I ordered the tender value meal with corn-on-the-cob, a kids meal with fries, and a liver/gizzards combo for her. The tenders were pretty small and honestly a bit sad. The corn wasn't stale but was super mediocre, and the fries were among the blandest I've ever had--definitely down there with the worst. As for the gizzards, my wife actually enjoyed them! She found the liver a bit too pungent but liked the gizzards overall. A couple of other things to note: the bathroom had no paper towels, and the floors throughout the restaurant were kind of sticky. On the plus side, the service was super nice. The cashier was incredibly helpful, patient, and considerate in explaining the menu to us, which I really appreciated. All in all, though, the food leaves a lot to be desired, especially the tenders. There are definitely better ones almost anywhere else. I might still come back to try the fried chicken, but overall it feels more like a nostalgic place for locals rather than a tasty meal. 2.5 rounded up cuz of the service.

The lovely cashier was super helpful and immediately asked if we'd been here before. Since it was our first time, she went through the menu and its entirety. She suggested the chicken tenders for my friend however I went for the bone in wings. They come with or without sauce. They have numerous of daiquiris both alcoholic and nonalcoholic. I ordered the chicken, which is five wings that come with fries and a fried pickle. I added a bottle of water and this ran me a little less than $17. They put your order in for you and then you can make your way outside to one of the many seating areas. We chose to sit on the patio. I love everything about this! Especially the fries. They look like a crossbreed between a curly fry and a naked potato wedgy. My wings were not only sauced with the buffalo sauce, but they came with a ranch drizzle. I also received a small container of ranch on the side. My friend got the spicy garlic Parmesan chicken tenders (2) and a Coke on the side. The wings were meaty. The sauce had flavor, and the ranch was amazing and comparable to Wingstop ranch. I can eat those french fries all day. And the fried pickle was the added touch though a bit spicy for my liking, but it was still a great addition. I will return to try different options.

Outstanding French fries. Huge wings!…read moreSauce flavors are mediocre at best (we had bbq, spicy parm, buffalo medium) The daiquiri (a $20 mistake) tasted like something I should clean the bathroom with (the dodo bird (creamsicle)) i'm not sure if it's the alcohol base or the artificial sweeteners in the flavor, but it was just gross.
