'I think I'll have another' cocktail

Our waitress, Patty was very nice, helpful and checked on us often. I got the ribeye steak and it was the best dinner I've ever had. My husband got the pork steak and said it was very good as well. To drink I got the I think I'll have another cocktail and it was delicious. Worth the money for sure!

Tupelo is unarguably one of Whitefish's top three restaurants... We always make it a point to stop into Tupelo when visiting town because it's that good... Cajun meets mountain vibes, Tupelo has designed a great laid back atmosphere to enjoy high-end eclectic fare. It's not a cheap restaurant, but the quality and customer service is always outstanding. Tupelo has a small but well-thought out and creative menu... Steaks, wild game, fish and seafood options, etc. You're never rushed at Tupelo and the service is very attentive. Definitely recommend a reservation because the restaurant can get busy. If you're looking for a higher-end dinner, Tupelo is it when in Whitefish.

The service was the best we've experienced all week in whitefish. Celebrated my wife's birthday there tonight. The food was perfect. Every detail was dialed in, from the biscuits that were hot and fell apart in your hands because they were so soft, to the special shrimp salad, to the poutin with duck confit that had a generous portion of duck meat and cheese, all the wait to the shrimp and grits that was the best I've had (and I spent 4 years in Baton Rouge!) It's a quaint place with a cool o atmosphere. Perfect for a family dinner.

Tupelo Grille in Whitefish , MT was chosen for dinner tonight. Located on the main drive in Whitefish, this place is fine dining. The decor contains tin ceiling tiles, brick walls, lots of dark stained wood and eclectic art on the walls. The vibe is cool and special. The wait staff was attentive and great about presentation of specials. We ordered crawfish and shrimp cakes with remoulade and celery leaves. This was amazing with the slaw enhancing the appetizer. Reward your taste buds and order this dish. The beet salad had whipped feta, hazelnut brittle, and preserved lemon vinegarette. Again flavor was salty, peppery but could of used a hint of sweetness like candied pecans for crunch. Our entree was the crusted trout filet with veggies in a hazelnut / citrus brown butter. The crusted trout was good and the veggies were perfectly done but the flavor was minimal. The ambiance here is great. You expect a very special meal is this very nice venue. The staff was on their "A" game. The food was good but felt they need a small enhancement to vault them over the top. Tupelo Grille is a place you should try for a special evening.

Went to Tupelo Grill for dinner. Service was a little on the slower side as it seemed like the bar tender was also waiting tables. They had someone come around with water which I thought at first was our server but it wasn't. The food was very good, and would recommend if you are looking for a good meal in whitefish, MT!

The cheese and brat plate was just about one of the most delicious things I've ever had! Some other standouts were the peach cobbler cheesecake and the southern wedge. Also the Boursin parsnip mashed potatoes served with the chicken were out of this world, I wish I could order just a side of those themselves! I'll continue to return here

This place was pretty good they have a bar side with life music and a restaurant side for dinner service. We tried an array of things: Cocktails: affordable housing, Aperol Spritz , old fashioned the Smokey Smokey whiskey flight. They were all wonderful. Food: Beet salad, shrimp and grits, New York steak and the lamb rack. Everything had great flavor, was it the best I have had, no it wasn't but it was really good and all plates were cleared. This place had a nice ambiance and I would certainly recommend it for a lovely date night. Great service as well.

Wow! This is a Fantastic Restaurant in 'downtown' whitefish. We started with a lot of questions about the cocktails, and the waitress got some additional info from the bar tender. Then, when we ordered drinks, we got an extra one! The waitress said the bartender (Alec) wanted to make sure we were happy with our drinks. And were we ever! The drinks we ordered were great and the extra one we fought over! We got the daily special appetizer-- wild mushrooms cooked in a cream sherry sauce and served over crostini with a little greens and truffle oil. They might have been the best mushrooms we've had! My partner got the 14 oz rib eye, cooked medium rare. The steak has a crispy crust. It melted in your mouth. The onion fig sauce was delicious. I had the blackened shrimp with grits. They were the best shrimp and grits I've ever had, there was a cream cheese jalapeño sauce that I was a bit suspicious of, but that made the dish. I hope we make it back to whitefish so I can come back here!

Just resting after a fabulous Sunday brunch! Started with a Bloody Mary and we asked that it not be too spicy -- and it was perfect with a little zing, but didn't take our heads off. I ordered the fried chicken eggs Benedict. The chicken batter had a dill flavor which added to the taste. The has browns were crispy and the biscuits to die for. It was sooooo good! My sister had the fried chicken and waffles, also excellent. Portions are large and the prices are reasonable. Our server was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed our culinary experience.

Wasn't sure what to expect once we entered. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. The server, Penny was bubbly and offered great suggestions. We started with the most amazing Pimento Cheese plate, incredible! The Cesar salad was not traditional...but better. I had the Fried Chicken and it was a standout! My husband had the Bison tenderloin which was equally memorable! The downside to this spot, it's not near where we live in S.F.

    Shrimp and grits!

Gotta downgrade Wasabi this time 'round…read more This is a regular stop when in MT, mostly on tradition because we came here on our honeymoon and took a pic at the bar. This time, the whole experience was a bit of a 'one off'. The Good - Actually...nothing to report here. The Meh - Not sure if the sushi goes here, or in the 'Bad' section. Twenty years ago and the first few times after that, the sushi was crisp, unusually tasty with a bit of a 'surprise'. We loved it. 5 years ago, it was 'ok'. This time, just really marginal. The rice was dry and so were the ingredients. Disappointing. The Bad - The staff were all going on and on and on about their music and their gigs and music theory...blah blah blah, while we sat and waited for our food. We realized at some point that they were cranking out large to-go orders while we waited. Boo. No good. Take care of those who made the time and effort to come to your business and eat. I don't often award one star, but Wasabi gets one for this experience. Post-dining discussion came down to whether we'd ever come back. We decided that yes, we'd probably return for our pic at the bar and a quick sake, but we'd eat in one of the other many restaurants in Whitefish.

Overall I was very disappointed. There is zero ambiance and their sushi is way over priced. The…read morerolls were decent but nothing exceptional. I didn't order nigiri because of the price. I'm attaching a picture of their menu but $15 for yellow tail, $16 for salmon and $19 for salmon eggs is out of control. Should be $$$$ not $$. I don't mind spending $500 for 3 people bur in this establishment I couldn't or wouldn't consider it. Many places to eat in Whitefish leave this to the locals if they crave average sushi.
