I imagine they are short staffed because I only seen two waitresses/waiters both times I was there. We ate outside the second time. My order was wrong, the waitress seemed like she didn't care. There was another girl with glasses and two French braids that brought us our food and noticed we had no ice and offered us refills for our warm water. I went for lunch on Sunday and the food was really good. The place is big, nicely decorated and there is a lot of seating. They also have a nice outdoor patio with views of the new RiverFront Park. On the weekend, the brunch menu runs until 4pm. We tried the pimento dip for an appetizer and it was really good. The accompanying chips were thin and crispy with a lot of seasoning and they went well with the dip. For lunch we ordered the fried chicken BLT and the smothered chicken (thighs). Both were very fresh and flavorful. The "peach don't kill my vibe" drink was good and smooth, but very sweet which I expected from the peach and pineapple juice. We have been wanting to come here since learning about the chain in Des Moines. I ordered the Shrimp and grits and my husband ordered the Asheville chicken and waffles. We ordered a biscuit for cause to share before our meal. The biscuit was delicious!! I love blueberries! The biscuit was the perfect salty and buttery. Had a nice crust. Pricing is a little more than you're traditional brunch places but i feel like everything was worth the extra few dollars. I got the cucumber and lime soda which was most refreshing! I was super interested in going to Tupelo Honey after seeing a sign that it recently opened! Great location downtown in the new Brickline building, and just steps away from Gene Leahy/The RiverFront park! The interior has the cutest decor and I love the green all over! It feels very warm and inviting. The outdoor area is also very cute, and I can't wait to sit out here in the summer. Our server Joey was great and gave some good recommendations for food! I started with the sweet tea and really enjoyed it- it was the perfect pairing with some good southern food. I ordered the honey-dusted bone-in fried chicken and really enjoyed it- it was very well done and super crispy, but definitely not overdone. As my side I ordered the salt and pepper dusted brussel sprouts, which I really enjoyed and were so crispy. I've tried many around Omaha, and I think these ones are tied for first! I've been to Tupelo Honey now twice, once for brunch and once for dinner. While I suspected that I would like the brunch more, I was surprised to find out the opposite. For brunch, we ordered the Eggs Benedict and Mac 'n' Cheese Chicken & Waffles. The Chicken/Waffles were very unique and something I'd order again (however I recommend asking for a side of syrup). The Eggs Benedict was good, but I've had better. Dinner: We started with the Pimento Cheese dip and biscuits. The dip is a must-order if you're getting an app. Biscuits were alright, but it's worth the small price since the money goes toward a cause. Entrees we ordered were the honey dusted chicken and the Bistro Filet. The filet was excellent! I had fairly low expectations ordering a filet at a Southern Kitchen Bar but it was cooked exactly how I wanted and had a great flavor. Finally, the Honey Dusted chicken. This was the show-stealer that we will now order every time we return. Incredible, honey flavor that isn't over-the-top and cooked to perfection. We went into the order not crazy excited about eating dinner off-the-bone but I can't imagine not trying this entrée in hindsight. Ambiance and service are great! Tupelo Honey offers a modern, upscale feel that isn't crazy expensive and also feels welcoming to families with children. We will definitely continue to return! read more

I was there today and I don't think I could have had a worse interaction with staff if I tried. When we sat down and ordered our food, (avocado toast, Mac and cheese, eggs and fried green tomatoes) I did not know it would take an hour...... After we ordered, we never saw our server again. The food was brought to us by a food runner and then not one person checked in on us ever again. We had to search to find someone to give us a box. The food was good but that was it. While waiting for our food the host came to our table, took a chair away from the table, loudly said "WHY" to herself then left. That was it. Only to return 10 minutes later to put the chair back at our table. Thankfully we paid immediately after ordering or we would have been SOL. Finally got to try Tupelo Honey for the first time last weekend! I've been wanting to try their brunch specifically so that's when we went - however I ended up getting a sandwich off their lunch menu and it was delicious!! We also had cocktails that were very refreshing and summery! It was so hard to choose just one drink and one thing off the menu... this is one of those places where you have to try something new every time you go because there is just so much to choose from and you know everything will be good. 10/10 I can't believe a place like this finally exists in Omaha. The chicken is cooked to perfection and was so crispy!! The fried cauliflower was not too spicy and the buttermilk ranch was delicious. The asheville hot chicken & ranch melt with the Texas toast was absolutely amazing and I would order it again!!! My friend had the sweet and spicy chicken sandwich and devoured it!!! We shared the sides of the broccolini and the fries, and both were super good, but I didn't care too much for the sauce on the broccolini. Service was excellent and food came out in a timely manner. Lunched with three friends. One ordered breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage patties, toast, and a side of the rosemary potatoes. Two of us took advantage of the December special, which had an app, half fried chicken, side, and a small banana pudding. The scrambled eggs were fluffy, but we all tried the sausage patties and they were overcooked and dry. The biscuits for appetizers were delicious. As was the blueberry compote. My other friend ordered a side of gravy and she said it was OK. She ordered greens for her side and said they were good and I ordered the rosemary Parmesan potatoes and they were very good. The chicken was a disappointment. It was very dry. The portions were very large. I ate my leg and, when I got too closer to the bone, it was red and uncooked. The "honey dust" over the fried chicken skin was delicious. I can't deny that the flavor on the skin was delicious, but the chicken was not very tasty itself. We tried the honey Sriracha as a side and it was spicy but good. The banana pudding was very good. Traditional vanilla pudding and pieces of banana and cookie, but it was sweet and delicious. I ordered sweet tea and I was a little disappointed. I was expecting more of a southern sweet tea like from when I lived in Texas. It was more of a generic sweet tea. read more

My water glass was never empty, as our server was very on top of making sure we were taken care of. The chocolate cake was also delicious. The restaurant itself is also just so cute, and inviting. We were in and out in about 45 minutes, and we never felt rushed. It is a great idea on their part to not place prices on their online menu because they charged $20 for gumbo which is less than a cup's worth that is served with less than a quarter cup of rice. I have no idea how this crap establishment will make it ten seconds in this already restaurant-overdeveloped Omaha.
