Amazing place for your Indian cravings. First time visiting Houston, and we got the paneer butter masala, side of rice, garlic naan, and crispy manchurian. Everything was wonderful. We went home and ate the leftovers for dinner. Inside the service is also pretty good. Nice people, warm and welcoming atmosphere. The tables were pretty clean and we didn't need a ressy to dine in. This place had some highs and lows. It took a while for someone to acknowledge us and take our order at the front, which wasn't the best first impression. The food had good flavor, but it was much greasier than I'm used to for this cuisine. This was a good authentic Indian spot. Prices were pretty solid for the amounts and portions that you get. Several different street food options or bowl options for an authentic experience. I didn't too much like the butter chicken burger as it was just a slab of dipped butter, chicken with tomato and a huge onion slice about half an inch thick but overall it was okay. Would not get again. It also came with French fries and these were extremely basic from a frozen bag. Very dull. Unfortunately I didn't realize the burger came with fries and I additionally ordered loaded tikka masala fries so instead of it being a replacement for the fries with a burger I just had two huge orders of fries. Seemed like something that the person taking the order could've mentioned before I ordered it. Also had the lamb baryani, tikka masala and garlic naan. This was amazing! Tasted so good. Deep in flavor and of course spices The naan was amazing And everything came out really hot! You can smell the flavors and the spices when you walked into the restaurant. So we tried to make Butter chicken at home. Fail! And it was late. We found Tumeric and Dashed it to the house. Great decision. Butter chicken was flavorful, Bullet and Garlic naan good and we added a flavor bomb Salt and Pepper Chicken. We are happy to have found a spot closer than Kathmandu that comes close to the same product. We will order from here again. read more

We were in the area and thought of trying this place out, however, we were really disappointed with our visit to this spot. Unfortunately, I had one of the worst chai that I ever had. It truly missed even the bare minimum mark. Our tea lacked both flavors and colors. Its full of some cheap milk and there's hardly any trace of actual tea leaf there. We mentioned it to one of their staff members, and got coffee instead. However, the coffee was same with no trace of coffee at all. We wanted to have samosas but learnt that samosas are outsourced and they just heat it up and serve. So, skipped that. It was the same outsourced for the burger and fries. Haka noodles was something that we liked, good portion size too. Chana masala was not good but still doable. The best part was their staff member who assisted us. She was very courteous. She apologized for the tea and when we asked for coffee, she didn't even charge again for that. She was also checking in between with us and everyone else on how's everything. We decided on takeout and ordered the following items: Butter Masala w/ Shrimp (7/10) Garlic Saag w/ Paneer (9/10) Cocktail Samosas (9/10) Chicken Biryani (9/10) Garlic Naan (7/10) Mango Lassi (10/10) Originally, we wanted lamb for the butter masala but they called us after we put in our order to inform they were sold out. So we switched to shrimp on it. The masala has a tomatoey flavor but lacks the heavy spices that I was expecting; it still is tasty and I would order it again but with another protein. The naan had some garlic flavor but was a bit cold after unwrapping it; probably need to heat it up next time. The rest of the dishes were pretty solid with the somosas and biryani being our favorites. The saag w/ paneer was tasty and thick. The rice that comes with the curries have spices and herbs mixed in which add to the flavor. Finally, the mango lassi is a delightful beverage/dessert. My girlfriend loved it to the last drop. I'm glad there's another indian option in the area that is perfect for take-out. We look forward to trying other items such as the korma and (hopefully) lamb curries. read more

For this place to be named Turmeric everything was lacking spices and flavor. Overall it just seemed like all the amazing Indian spices you love when eating the cuisine were missing. Both the tikka masala and the "famous" butter chicken tasted the same with just one note of tomato. The bindi was very dry and not a stewed dish and lacked flavor. The garlic naan was good but one of our orders lacked the garlic naan seasoning. My roti was burnt. The samosas lacked flavor. Also they gave some cucumber side that just tasted like cucumbers and tomato's in oil and pepper. No vinegar or mint or anything. Overall very unsatisfying. read more

I am SO incredibly happy to have good Indian food in the area! Everything was really delicious. We got chicken 65, korma chicken, butter chicken, saag paneer, and garlic naan. It was all pretty bomb, but the korma and saag were true standouts. I can't not mention how tasty the chicken 65 also was, and while I personally prefer a little fluffier naan, it was deliciously garlicky. I was initially put off because they quoted 15-20 minutes for to go and then it took 55 minutes, but the food was absolutely stellar. I'll be giving them a lot of my money. read more

I have driven by this place multiple times and never knew they were so good! They are located below an apartment community. I tried the Dawali Butter Chicken and it comes with rice. The rice actually had a whole cinnamon stick in it. The rice was so flavorful!!! It seems like it was soaked in coconut milk instead of water. The butter chicken was not too spicy, it was very creamy and has packed with flavor. I ended up ordering a side of garlic naan bread and it was also tasty. The location is clean and the service was great. They have a takeout section where you can get utensils and also plates to go. They provide 2 hours of free parking validation. Pretty good option for Indian in the area. My favorite dish was the Chicken Lollipops. Ample and juicy chicken, with delicious spices. The Tikka Masala (lamb) was tasty as well (although it was a bit too spicy for me -- I wish they toned it down a bit or let you choose the level). I also really enjoyed the Hakka Noodles (an Indo-Chinese dish) with paneer. The biggest let down was probably the garlic naan. It barely tasted like garlic. I did appreciate that they had multiple naan flavors to choose from (including a sweet one). read more

The food is legitimately great but their front staff and overall service is absolutely horrendous. If you order takeout, it generally takes an additional 20-30 minutes from Whatever they estimate. Take-out orders are frequently missing items, so definitely check your bag. Generally, I would say as long as you tack on the additional time to their estimate and check your order, it's reliable good flavor. However, this time I arrived at my general 15 minutes after estimated pick up and sat about 5 minutes waiting for front staff to appear. She let me know the lamb biryani I ordered was out of stock, what would I like instead - 40 minutes after I ordered. That had happened once before and they called after I submitted my order to request substitution. When asked, she said they were too busy to have reached out. There is one table of two and there was one additional person waiting for food. Previous to this most recent experience, I would have said as long as you're prepared to wait for not all of your food, it's good. At this point, there are as good options that aren't this place and have absolutely no issues providing timely & correct food orders. read more

Theres thick onion pieces packed with flavors Rice ( included): not your plain rice, its spiced and delicious Peshawari naan: mildly sweet and went perfect with the curry. I'm pleasantly surprised. This place might just be my new Indian takeout spot. Been here twice and both times the curries have been excellent. Got the Kadai and Garlic Saag and both were fantastic. Pickup experience and service at the counter has been great both times as well. My minor gripes are: 1. No built in spice level selection when ordering online. You have to add it in the comment section. Not a big deal but would be nice. 2. Naan is mediocre. I'm excited to try the other dishes. Other folks I went with had good things to say about the Chicken Tikka Burger and kebabs but I haven't tried them myself. read more

We normally LOVE tumeric. I've given 5 stars because they make the food spicy enough and they are fast. But today they took 45+ minutes despite only one other couple there.
