Paul and I decided to have lunch here after two doctor appointments. It was a Tuesday at 2 pm. We quickly took seats at the high-top bar. It really wasn't very crowded at this time but it took awhile before we were able to order and another longtime to have the food delivered. I asked the waiter at the end why everything was so slow. He basically blamed the chef staff saying that all the training wasn't complete. They are only still getting it together since opening less than 2 months ago. The Company is growing in leaps and bounds. He said this is their 33rd location and more to open very soon in Wellington, Boca and Melbourne. Paul had a smoothie made with berries and almond milk with a grilled chicken salad. I had the salad with their chicken salad. I found it having too much mayonnaise and lacking flavor. We came in for breakfast and unfortunately had a couple issues with the food. My husband sent his meal back because the avocado was brown and appeared spoiled. The first manager said it was just from the heat and argued with him about it. Shortly after, my daughter's pancakes came out with strawberries that were clearly overripe with dark rotten spots. Thankfully, a second manager named Evan came out, apologized for the situation, and removed the items from our bill. We appreciated him stepping in and handling it professionally. My eggs were good, and we hope the kitchen pays closer attention to the freshness of the food before they plate it going forward. read more

We were seated and looked over the menu. Place was not busy at all. Waited looking for a server. Over 8 minutes went by. Finally I got up to find someone to at least order some coffee? Found a bus boy and he ask where we were seated. He went to the back and comes back out with a server I assume. They look at us at our table then both disappear to the back. At that point we assume they are in no rush to do their job and come by and at least offer us coffee or water. At that point we got up to leave. The restaurant is new to our neighborhood. It was packed on a Saturday morning. The service was really great and very fast. They had a pretty great menu however, the kids breakfast menu was a bit odd. We had the avocado toast with goat cheese, which is really delicious and large. I was blessed to get a couple days off so I wanted try Turning Point with my wife. We went this morning and initially the experience started out good, the hostess was very kind and led us right to a table in the restaurant which is much larger than I initially thought. The resturaunt is pretty nice inside, typical for the area but nothing too grandiose or special. Once we got to our table that's where the problems started. I noticed a couple of other groups sat and they got water and coffee before we placed our order. A server finally walked by, tapped on our table and said he'd be right with us then he slowly walked away with zero sense of urgency while he spoke to another server laughing about something. Several minutes went by and he finally came back, we had not ordered drinks yet but we're ready to order breakfast. He asked us our drink orders and we insisted on ordering food as well. He wrote everything down and then walked away. He went to another table, then another, then spoke with a coworker then was out of site. Tyler was his name and for the next 30 minutes I was looking for him because he was no where to be found. Finally someone brought our food out and Tyler came back. He had the least sense of urgency of anyone I've ever seen. He seemed like he was perpetually still waking up from a centuries long coma. The soup came in a small bowl with a teaspoon instead of a soup spoon, and there was no flavor to the soup and it did not look appetizing. The half sandwich that was ordered with the soup was asked to be not toasted, but it came with hard toast. The caprese sandwich came with very very hard bread that had been toasted. It tasted like hard crackers, not panini bread and was difficult to bite. This was my first visit and it didn't disappoint. When I arrived, I was greeted and seated immediately to a nice table by window. The ambiance was bright, mostly white with flowers lining an outdoor patio. My table was inside. The server was very friendly. I ordered coffee right away and took time to read the menu. There was something for every taste so it was hard to decide. I went against what I would normally get and got a combo breakfast of eggs, sausage, pancakes and potatoes. The sausage was a little extra but it brought the price in line with other dishes already with meat. The food was very good, hot and appealing. My eggs were not quite over medium but still tasty. I don't like my yolks too runny. Everything else was prepared very well. The pancakes were very tasty as the server said they would be. The place got very busy which surprised me me for a Later Monday morning, but they had plenty of staff to properly serve everyone. I glanced at a spring special menu which had some items I think would be worth trying on another visit. Turning Point is a little out of my way, but worth the trip. like to try new places so today was the day to try this restaurant I must say parking was easy. The restaurant what we had was delicious and the rest of the food look very good. It's a very type breakfast lunch type of menu the server JERNEY was excellent. He couldn't have been nicer, helpful and making sure I got exactly what I asked for. We had a chai vanilla delicious tea very large portion. We also had a waffle which was delicious and we had a pancake it was called a power pancake. It had oatmeal in it, but I think it was made with the regular pancake flour which I was a little disappointed in. I thought it would be a special kind of flower for high protein type of flour, but that's what the waiter saod. blueberry lemon 1 pancake I had we ordered real maple syrup. I think it's really tacky that we have to pay two dollars extra to have good syrup but OK if that's what it is indoor outdoor seating I will return. My daughter treated me for breakfast on my birthday. It was our first time here . The decor and vibe was bright , modern and welcoming. They have a pretty decent amount of food choices and an extensive coffee menu. I ordered the western omelette with hash browns along with coffee. My daughter ordered the avocado toast as a shareable for the table along with the shrimp and grits . Unfortunately the food was not as good as we expected. The omelette was burnt on the bottom and the potatoes and English muffins had some sort of fake butter or oil taste . The avocado toast was not toasted at all. It was just sliced bread. My daughter only ate half of her shrimp and grits saying that it was cold in the middle and that the shrimp tasted like a freezer . Our server was very visible and helpful in the beginning but disappeared after she took our order . This was my first time at Turning Point. My friend recommended it and has been there several times. We were able to sit right away at the main counter on bar stools. Our server, Rachel, was super friendly and accommodating. I ordered a Belgian waffle with bananas, strawberries, and blueberries. Rachel topped it with whipped cream. One thing I typically don't see if warm syrup. I had my own bottle and couldn't wait to dig in. It was so good, I ate every bit. I also ordered extra crispy bacon as a side. It was cooked to perfection. I was able to order an iced vanilla latte with oat milk and cold foam. I left comfortably full. The prices were also very reasonable. My friend ordered the GOAT 3 egg omelet with citrus salad and rye toast. She said it was delicious. She also got a to go order, and it was timed perfectly to be ready when we were done eating. I rarely leave reviews, but this was one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. Our party of eight was told the wait would be about 30 minutes, which we were fine with, but it ended up being over an hour before we were seated. When we were finally shown to a table, they placed us at a six-top booth...clearly too small for our group. Naturally, we had to spill over into the adjoining space, and instead of apologizing or fixing the mistake, the staff actually confronted us and told us we couldn't sit there. It was baffling that the restaurant would knowingly seat a large group at a table that couldn't accommodate us, and then turn around and make us feel like we were in the wrong. The staff seemed completely unprepared to handle even basic seating logistics, and the way they spoke to us was rude and dismissive. If you're a large party, I would strongly recommend avoiding this place altogether. We had such a wonderful experience the first time we went to the Turning Point Restaurant, and so we both decided to come in a 2nd time. Needless to say, we were not disappointed in any way. The service was once again top notch,and the food Just as scrumptious as the first time. It was even more busy today,and we believe the steady flow of customers has everything to do with their superb service,and the delicious, well prepared food rendered at the Turning Point. Our delightful server by the name of Brittney made every effort to see that our time under the roof of the Turning Point was a pleasure, and yes she succeeded in doing that for us big time. We both were so impressed with her expertise that we Inquired as to who the manager of her shift was. We had the chance to speak with the manager of that shift. We told her that it shows how focused the manager of this shift is because it is seen through the superb workers during that shift. It isn't by any means easy what these two individuals do to make each customer feel comfortable,and focused upon during such a steady flow of new customers. Somehow they make it look easy. Had an amazing brunch experience, trying this spot out for the first time. Our waitress, Rachel was super nice and checked on us often. They have an extensive drink menu of coffees and juices. Everyone ordered coffees but I ordered the vanilla chai tea, which really knocked my socks off how damn good it was. It comes in a huge mug and even though I was stuffed from my meal, I made sure to finish my drink so it wouldn't go to waste. Hands down best chai tea I've ever had. I had the goat omelette, mom had the Georgia peach bacon flat bread, dad had grande huevos rancheros, and my sis ordered a chicken pesto panini. Everyone really enjoyed their meals, which were sizable portions for a reasonable price. I didn't try the huevos rancheros but I had a bite of both the Georgia peach flatbread and the pesto panini, and both were delicious. We came because of the Yelp 4.9 star rating, and the restaurant deserves every star. Turning Point is a northeast breakfast / brunch / lunch chain that started in PA, branched to NJ, and has made its way down south to FL. The menu can be characterized as "crafted" -- it's obvious that a lot of thought has been put into their offerings. They have all the standards, like eggs Benedict and pancakes, but the menu puts some really cool spins on them: I was hoping my kids would order the toffee crunch pancakes (alas, they didn't, and a whole order sounds like too much sugar for this 55 year old body). Anyway, the menu was nothing short of impressive. Varied, crafted, and interesting, as opposed to, say, Cracker Barrel, which is simply varied. Thought was even put into the coffee - they offer a roast level and a short synopsis for each coffee type for those of you who are coffee snobs (like me). One criticism would be the lack of half and half or cream. People who are serious about their coffee don't like creamer packets. I understand they're convenient (no mess, no refrigeration), but they're low quality. The people were all lovely. The waitresses, bussing staff, and front desk were all friendly, chatty, and very welcoming. Attentive without hovering, which is always appreciated. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. Either area is comfortable. We sat outside and weren't attacked by mosquitoes. Ambiance is pretty typical Florida restaurant. There's lots and lots of parking. This statement will be of no use to Floridians, but New Yorkers will scratch their heads in disbelief. Two Chocolate Chip Pancakes: B+ / A+ My son wanted the 3-pancake version but the waitress warned us it was too much, and she was right. Even the 2 pancake version would be appropriate to share between 2 children. The pancakes were humongous; it was a little breathtaking. They were very sweet and very good (B+). We took about half the plate home and when I heated them up, they got very crispy over the high heat and SO DAMNED GOOD. The sugar / chocolate caramelized over the high heat so that they were crispy on the outside and soft / fluffy on the inside (A+). The reheated version was far and above anything I cook at home, which is still blowing my mind. Challah French Toast: B / A- My daughter ordered this. Again, portion size was out of control: it was appropriate for 2 children. Honestly, while it was good, my challah French toast is better. When we heated it up the next day, as with the Two Chocolate Chip Pancakes) the outside sugar caramelized. Definitely better the next day. Wilbur Skillet: A / A+ I almost never order the same thing twice at a restaurant because I love variety in my foods, but I would gladly make an exception for this. It was a good, solid A. The bacon was very thick with just the right ratio of fat to meat. Home fries were really good. Definitely shareable with 2, and even perhaps 3, adults. However, as with the pancakes and French toast, when I reheated the home fries over a high heat the next day, they became God-Like: some of the best home fries I ever had in my entire life. Sausage: A- / A We ordered a side of sausage to share for the family. Thick and fatty. Not incredibly seasoned, but definitely yummy. Reheated the next day over high heat made the outside super crispy and kept the inside juicy. New Jersey Roll / Taylor Ham: A- Some call it NJ Roll, and some call it Taylor Ham. I tend to think of it as Spam. The Spam of our parents, not spam. It was cooked extremely well - lightly browned. read more

We stopped by for a breakfast at this new location. I have never gone to a turning point before, apparently they are a chain. The restaurant was clean, bright and had nice seating inside and outside. Our server, Thomas, was amazing. He explained the rewards program and I signed up! We saved $5 which was nice. I had the Tuscany omelette with field greens, it was delicious. I love a place that leaves the coffee pot on the table! They were so kind asking if we wanted to go cups for our coffee when we were finished. Prices are reasonable. I'll be back, a lot! I want to mention how much my wife and I appreciate that Turning Point offers both vegan and gluten free options. My wife happens to need both, which is not always easy to find. Especially for a breakfast place. So the fact they offer JustEgg Vegan eggs along with Vegan Beyond Sausage patties is such a breath of fresh air. They also took the celiac disease seriously which is a giant relief as we are always scared to try new places.
