Needed to satisfy my brunch craving and this was the best looking spot in the area. I was skeptical at first because it is nestled in a shopping center consisting of HomeGoods and Target, which are quality stores, but nonetheless not where you expect to be eating brunch. The place was PACKED!!! Mostly housewives and college students considering the restaurants limited hours. We were hit with a half an hour wait, for which we ended up conveniently strolling around the aforementioned shopping stores. The food turned out to be delicious! I ordered the veggie wrap and the balsamic dressing that came with the order is something I will never forget. The tropical waffles we ordered turned out nice too. I've been here a couple of times and it's a nice place to eat. It basically feels like a diner with a less extensive menu but with better food. It's well-lit with big windows, and with all the breakfast and coffee being served around you, it has a very "I'm actually awake in the morning and I have the whole day ahead of me" feel. As a college student who's rarely awake early in the morning (unless I'm STILL up), it's a refreshing feeling. I ordered the Grande Huevos Rancheros, and thought it was pretty good. I would have liked more chorizo and fewer potatoes, and the avocado was a tad unripe, but the dish as a whole tasted great. On a previous trip, I ordered an omelette, and if I recall correctly, it was quite huge and very tasty. Also they have a good selection of very healthy breakfast options; lots of oats, fruit, and lots of egg-white only dishes. My friends have ordered them, and they loved it. Their prices are reasonable for the large serving of food they give you (maybe a little cheaper than diners around here), and the staff is very nice and accommodating; the place has a very laid back atmosphere which is great in the morning. read more

I really love this place. It's my go to when I want to get some brunch. I don't even mind the long wait during peak times because it's worth it. I usually get the Wilbur skillet with either scrambled eggs or sunny side. It never disappoints and very filling. All the food is really fresh. Last time I was there I got the lobster Benedict and it was so amazing. I haven't ordered lunch there yet because all of their breakfast options are too good to pass up, but they look good also. Came here for breakfast with my friend. Place was packed the hostess told us 10-15 minute wait, as soon as we sat down they called out my name and said a table opened up. The food was really good I had one of their "skillets" it was delicious home fried potatoes with spinach, mushrooms, & cheese with two eggs cooked to my liking on top. I asked for orange juice and the server asked if I wanted fresh squeezed or regular, I thought that was amazing not a lot of places do that and I wasn't expecting that from a chain restaurant at all. I had the day off and hadn't been to the Turning Point in a while so my husband and I decided to go. I ordered something that was from the old menu which wasn't there anymore. They were so accommodating. However the server was new and got a little confused. My order got a little mix up. Long story short my husband finished his breakfast before I received fine. When I did get my "Hawaiian French toast" the manager a really nice lady also brought me off the old cinnamon sauce that came with it. She also said your meal is in me and apologized for the wait. I was just happy to get my old breakfast and that was so incredibly nice of her to do. I will definitely be back and believe this is why this restaurant is always crowded. Great customer care. Everything is great here. We always start with a carafe of Blue Mountain coffee. It's almost as good as experiencing it at a Jamaican villa...poolside. We recently took a ride to NJ for a quick errand and stopped here for a quick bite. In a shopping area so plenty of parking. Wait wasn't too bad on a Sunday around 9-930 when they opened. Definitely a popular place. FREE COFFEE UPON ENTERING ALWAYS A PLUS!!! Very good customer service. Food was good not the best breakfast I ever had but- then again, I got something, as my husband would say- is boring. 2 fried eggs, hashbrowns and English muffin. He got a fancy egg dish which he said was good. They use liquid egg for their omelettes so I deduct a point. Service was lovely and fast. Coffee was nice and fresh. We really enjoy the fresh food made here. For lunch, I especially like the Martha's Vineyard salad. For breakfast, any of the egg dishes are good. The pancakes and waffles look really decadant, but I haven't given them a try yet. The downside is that you are pretty much guarunteed to have a long wait but if you call ahead they'll put your name on the list. The food is good, not great, good. The variety is also above par. Unfortunately the service and wait is the down side. Speaking for myself, if I go somewhere for breakfast, I do not want to wait till lunch to eat. On several occasions, my family has waited the allotted time only to find out that the true time is double. Here is a tip, if you go there and the hostess states it is a 30 minute wait, expect the true wait to be 60 minutes. In short, go somewhere else and try another time. Recommended. Took my family out for brunch here a few weeks ago. Everything was very good. Their house blend coffee is great, as good as the fancy Jamaican Blue Mountain that they also serve. The one negative was the fake butter they spread on your toast. It wasn't butter. It didn't taste like anything except grease. I think they just smear some of the grill grease on all the toast coming out of the kitchen. I wanted to come here for awhile, so I decided to go in this morning. The host was busy, buut greeted us with no eye contact, and just asked us how we were doing. He later told us we could sit wherever, and someone would be with us. The first thing I saw, was that one of the booths were dirty, and had dents, and rips in the seat. I decided to go to the back of the restaurant, and we got seated. A couple minutes later two waitress came to our table, but one of them was a student trying to become a waitress. Our waitresses first asked us about drinks. I saw that they had a peanut butter cup hot chocolate, so I got that. I liked the cream on top, and the peanut butter cups, but the hot chocolate didn't really didn't have a peanut butter flavor. The service got very slow from there, and it took a long time for our food to come out. I think it took at least an hour for our food to come out. And, while we were getting our food out, the waitress was training the young waitress, and it took them a while, for some reason to get the food off the stand. The omelet that I got was good, and so were the onions inside. They put a lot of onions inside, and they put a lot of cheese as well. I did not like that the cheese was coating the top, but the omelet was still good. The potatoes on the side tasted too dry, and barely had any flavor. The food though is quite filling. but I don't know if I will be back, considering all the other great breakfast places. read more

Extremely misleading tag of 'Gluten Free' used for this restaurant. Yes, they can make egg items GF (as can many places), but a place that tags itself as GF and that has waffles and pancakes as mainstays on their menu should have GF waffles and pancakes. And they don't even had GF BREAD!!!! How the heck can they use GF as a tag? My guess is that they want to be known as a healthy choice for meals and people associate Gluten Free with healthy. So they claim to be GF to get more customers. But, in reality, someone with gluten intolerance or celiac disease will not have that many choices here (other than the egg dishes). read more

If you havent been to the turning point - you should go. Good for a date or with the family. The only downside is you run the risk of not getting a fast table so its recommended you call ahead to check on current waits. All of the food is clean and cooked perfectly. A true "Turning Point" in our brunch experience. Because of one person (hostess) I will never spend another dollar at a Turning Point Restaurant. We visited this site this morning starving as much as anyone else choosing to sleep in in through breakfast on a Saturday morning. We put our name on the list for the first seating available and where told that the bar (2 seats available) would be the quickest- so we agreed. We waited for 10mns for our bar seats to be cleaned out while watching other folks being seated at tables. After approaching the hostess to see if she can sit us at a tabLe as they were becoming available quicker than it was taking them to clean out our bar seats, the young lady informed us that we wouid have to go to the back of the line and wait to be seated and basically ordered us to wait until the bar seats would be clean and proceeded to sit other folks behind us while rolling her eyes as she walked away. We quickly walked out of the restaurant and will never return to any Turning Point establishment. read more

When we walked in at 11:30 it was busy and we're told the wait was 25-35 minutes. It was really about 10 so we were seated quickly. I had the ginger tea, a good choice for herbal. I had the chicken pesto pannini with a side of seasonal fruit salad. The fruit salad was large enough for two to share. The sandwich came with a side of salsa and tortilla chips. I'm not a big fan of chips and salsa, a little salty for my taste. Our server was delightful. She gave me a side of balsamic vinaigrette and said she likes it as an extra sauce for dipping, good suggestion. The sandwich was a generous portion, ended up taking half home. Wife had the quinoa salad with chicken, also a generous portion. It came with a side salad as well. She took half home as well. Our server asked if I wanted a container for the salsa and told her I'm not a fan of it. She said next time I can substitute fruit or garden salad. Great brunch place to go to when you're waking up on a Sunday feeling tired and just want food. They have a large variety of foods to choose from and the sizes varies too. What I mean is, whether you have a large appetite or a small one they have great options for both. You won't come out feeling like a whale unless you wanted to. The service was nice, the girl was very friendly and offered her take on what's good to get. My favorite is the french press coffee. There is no logic applied to how they seat people. Our wait time, initially estimated at 40 minutes, ended up being close to 2 hours. If we had known upfront, we would have decided to go elsewhere. Went with family last Sunday. We called ahead and when we arrived we actually got seated. In the past we've had issues being told by staff that just because you call it doesn't get you on the list until you arrive. We ordered our food and asked for extra sauces with our meals for in the past, sauces were skimpy. This time it wasn't necessary for they had plenty. Unfortunately, this is where the good ended. The restaurant touts everything being freshly made and I ordered the chicken and waffles. The sausage gravy was luke warm at best. The waffles were cold! (Food maybe freshly made but not freshly delivered to the table). Wife said her food wasn't really hot. When food was being delivered, a young man wearing a black hoodie over his uniform (everyone else was dressed properly) helped bring food to our table. Instead of taking 2 steps to his right to serve my wife, he passed it directly in front of my face almost hitting me. When I said something about it he apologized but still, basic serving rules apply. I have never really liked this restaurant or should I say this location (never been to others) because I've never received a good meal there but my wife loves it and I take her there because of that; because I want her to be happy; however; on my own I wouldn't be there. read more

While the wait is usually 20-30, they have a large variety of different breakfast/lunch foods to choose from which compensates greatly for it. Their food is so delicious!
