Toscano's Italian Kitchen is one of our favorite spots to eat as a family. We go often and always leave happy and full! The food is consistently delicious. My personal favorite is the seafood linguine, and my husband always gets a pasta dish with spicy sausage and chicken that he loves. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality. The atmosphere is welcoming and family-friendly. Most of the seating is in booths, which we prefer, and we've never had to wait too long, even on busy weekend nights. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they really make you feel at home. My kids are obsessed with the mac & cheese (the portion is huge!) and the chicken with mashed potatoes. One of the things I appreciate most is how thoughtful they are with kids. They cover the tables in paper and hand out crayons so the little ones can draw. The servers even write their names on the table, which adds a sweet personal touch and helps keep everyone entertained while we wait for our food. I have to share because our experience here was better than we could've ever expected. I showed up at 7pm on a Saturday night and asked for a table for 9 with no reservation. I basically knew some members from our baseball team would be joining but was unsure how many. 9 turned into 12 turned into 15. From start to finish the service was flawless. The manager made it happen with no hesitation. I was the one that was anxious, he was so chill !! And then our server, Whitney was so kind and so accommodating.. she made us feel comfortable and welcome and took all our orders, even with 7 kids with no problem. Toscanos catered our Easter family celebration and it was WONDERFUL!! Connor was so helpful with the planning and coordination via email and over the phone. The day of our party Amelia had everything organized and ready for us to pick up including trays, pans, tongs, etc. the food was fantastic- all raved about how delicious and quality the food was. We highly recommend Toscanos and will definitely use their catering services for family gatherings but will add them as a favorite GO-TO restaurant for a nice meal. Our family loves Tuscanos! Not only is this place great for groups, they also host end of the season sports parties I found that out recently. I will warn you that the portion sizes are huge and the pasta dishes can feed two easily. They also have a gluten free menu which is a huge plus. Late Wed afternoon, 18th Mar 2026. Food was delish, service was very good, BUT my Fettuccine Alfredo was not cooked by someone who knew what they were doing. The fettuccine pasta was clumped together and uncooked to the point it was really chewy (not even close to al dente). Very disappointing to pay $20 plus for that. Got that yellow-orange Mediterranean paint scheme. Went there for a late lunch, and the place was 1/4-1/3 full and still see people coming in an out. Menu has the usual Italian dishes you see in the US. Pizza, pasta, meat dishes like chicken marsala etc. Plenty of alcohol choice too as the place has a bar. I got the lasagna. Didn't take too long to serve up. It was rich and cheesy. The square looks small in the big plate, but it was filling. We stopped here on our way back home. We were seated fast. Then we sat at the table for about 10-15 before Summer came to our table. She asked if we had been there before. Which we haven't but have drove by on our way back home a few times. Thought we would try it. She was going to just take our drink order but we were ready to order our food as well. After sitting for about 15-20 more minutes without our drinks still. We seen her scan the room. Then it was like a lightbulb went off that she didn't get our drinks. Which I'm sure our food and appetizer were about to come up at the same time. I understand restaurants get busy (which it didn't appear to be super busy in there at that time) maybe she can only handle a table or two. If that is the case maybe she needs to ask for help if she can't handle what she is given. A table was sat right before we left and their server was already taking their drink order and on the move to get their drinks. But to leave new customers sitting at a table for around 30-35 minutes without even getting our drinks. We did have a few staff walk by and not say one word to us. We did hear the table behind us had their order messed up. They were told about 8-10 minutes for their food to be fixed. They still hadn't received their food when we left. Doesn't leave a very good impression. We ended up getting up and leaving. Since we needed to find a different place to eat and get back on the road. We had a wonderful experience at Tuscano's! Drew, our server, was attentive and friendly. Other staff we came across were also lovely. The place was clean, cozy and beautifully decorated. Food was excellent. The whole family was happy and we left with full bellies. As many years as we've stopped in Monroe for food on our way thru the area, I'm kicking myself we didn't try this sooner. The food is delicious and even my picky waters lived it! The kids loved that we could draw on the table as it had butcher paper as the table and crayons. I ordered the special, I don't remember the name, but it was spaghetti with garlic cream sauce, mushrooms, chicken, bacon, and onions. Amazing! My kids had the kids cheese pizza and the kids Alfredo. The kids' meals are cheap but WARNING! If you add a protein, like chicken, it's just a much add the whole meal! Kids Alfredo was $8, we added chicken and that was another $8 for a few strips of grilled chicken! I couldn't believe it. My husbands steak was too salty. My food had no flavor and some of the penne pasta was hard on the ends. Mine should've had a lemon sauce but there was almost no sauce at all. I ordered the Apple Walnut Salad and Pepperoni Pizza and expected really good italian food. So wrong! Tuscano's dough may be made from scratch but it's more like store-bought Boboli than real pizza dough. Wet, heavy and doughy, they coat the bottom with corn meal to make it taste "crispy". The salad was literaly inedible - field greens were slimy, brown and rotted. I took a picture and received a refund from the delivery service but wasn't given a chance to say exactly why the meal was bad. We had the focaccia bread, picante wings, cajun chicken pasta, pollo con fresca and the spaghetti and meatballs. Our friends just bought a house in Monroe and were thrilled to find this Italian restaurant with so many gluten free options! On a visit to check out the new house we decided that we had to give this place a try and celebrate the recent reopening of inside dining in Washington. We were seated at a nice table and our server was very friendly and did a phenomenal job at taking our very complicated order. At the table we had two celiacs including myself who are allergic to gluten, one person who is struggling with stomach problems and her doctor is eliminating almost everything, a picky 12 year old, and then my husband who is practically a 12 year old and can't have anything "icky" in his food. I was really impressed at how the server so patiently took our order AND got everything perfect. We shared some amazing crispy brussel sprouts and delicious shrimp appetizers that I loved. The husband had a greek salad (but had to have the olives left out cause apparently they are icky..) and I had a caesar without croutons. Ingredients were fresh and tasty. My chicken fettuccine entree was amazing and I ate waaay past the point of miserable and it..was..so..worth..it. The husband of mine loved his spicy cajun pasta and our friends, including the 12 year old, gave raving reviews of there meals. As our entrees came out the owner of the establishment came over and chatted with us which was so nice! He was very down to earth and did far more than the casual hello, how's your meal but actually asked where our friends new house was and what they did for a living. Very amicable. Not the best Italian place just regular neighbourhood local places in Monroe. Service was awesome! Seems like also servers know every single person from neighbouring. Their menu is simple which is really nice for locals. Food is tasty but I'm not a big fan of tomato sauce and seems like they have every dish with tomato sauce. Stopped by this place on my way home from the fairgrounds because I wanted to try something new. Nice restaurant with great service and high prices. Almost $20 for a personal pizza with sausage (semi spicy) and pepperoni. $10 for a plain cheese pizza and $1.50 for each additional topping but the only option is pepperoni and/or sausage. Pizza was good but nothing special. I should also point out that I was here around one and lunch is until 3, I'm pretty sure these were the lunch prices. I added a star because the staff is very attentive and was constantly refilling my root beer and checking on me.
