Service and food are all good. I like seafood pasta! Food quantity is bigger than other restaurant which is really good.

Trying this place for the first time

Toscano's Italian Kitchen is one of our favorite spots to eat as a family. We go often and always leave happy and full! The food is consistently delicious. My personal favorite is the seafood linguine, and my husband always gets a pasta dish with spicy sausage and chicken that he loves. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality. The atmosphere is welcoming and family-friendly. Most of the seating is in booths, which we prefer, and we've never had to wait too long, even on busy weekend nights. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they really make you feel at home. My kids are obsessed with the mac & cheese (the portion is huge!) and the chicken with mashed potatoes. One of the things I appreciate most is how thoughtful they are with kids. They cover the tables in paper and hand out crayons so the little ones can draw. The servers even write their names on the table, which adds a sweet personal touch and helps keep everyone entertained while we wait for our food. They also have a great wine list, which is a nice bonus. We always leave with happy bellies and big smiles. Toscano's is the kind of place you keep coming back to and we do!

This place was a Grand Slam with literally NOTHING we didn't thoroughly enjoy. The service was great with everyone working as a team. Our waitress Julie was super attentive and even apologized for a delay which in our opinion never happened. The decor was nice and portion sizes were large, giving us lunch for tomorrow. The Mamas Mac& Chees, Eight Layer Lasagna and Pesto Pasta are all fantastic

A Saturday walk-in visit came with friendly staff and prompt service. The majority of the dishes were excellent, with the Margherita pizza being the only one that was just okay.

Long overdue update. Jake is my favorite employee!!! His energy is always up, always positive and no matter what he tries to make sure you have the next experience. Have had Jake serve us SO many times I could go on and on about how great he is, but you get the idea lol. Still love the perfect manhattans, bruschetta, meat lovers pizza & the apple walnut insalata with chicken. Thanks for being my favorite restaurant in town with my favorite server maybe ever!

Lasagna

Italian restaurant in Monroe's business area. In its own building and plenty of parking. Mid sized interior, divided into two areas once you walk inside. Got that yellow-orange Mediterranean paint scheme. Went there for a late lunch, and the place was 1/4-1/3 full and still see people coming in an out. Menu has the usual Italian dishes you see in the US. Pizza, pasta, meat dishes like chicken marsala etc. Plenty of alcohol choice too as the place has a bar. I got the lasagna. Didn't take too long to serve up. It was rich and cheesy. The square looks small in the big plate, but it was filling. Liked the sauce, which was not overly sweet or tart, more savory. $24 before tip which was is within range for a middle restaurant. Other people in my party liked their food too.

Sweet Cannolis

Food was 5/5 as always. I ordered their corn fritters as an appetizer, the chicken bacon ranch pizza as my entre, and the sweet cannolis for dessert. It was a lot of food so I had leftovers for a few days, which is always nice. Service and Ambiance were 5/5. The waiter was friendly, food came out fast, and the restaurant was clean.

Some kind of carbonara special. So good!

Grab a table and they will come to you. Lots of locals trickle in so it can't be bad. The 80's style bar in the back I have never gone in to but you can tell it's a locals favorite and the bar serves drinks for people at the restaurant and vice versa if bar customers want food. Love their small green salads in 80's wooden bowl it's nostalgia in a bowl I asked for no cheese but either way it's the best salad with yummy honey mustard dressing and love it's very crouton forward. Love the good helping of fresh condiments with the $12.99 cheeseburger and $12.99 chicken sandwich platter. Their grill is well seasoned so their burgers always taste amazing! I was most impressed by their willingness to accommodate my dietary restrictions for free with a smile. I also like to get their veggie grinder minus cheese. Nicely toasted and loaded with fresh veggies. So good! Breakfast is decent they serve Cafe Darte brand drip coffee now and the servers are good about keeping the cups filled. The breakfast menu is small but good enough for most breakfast go-ers. A couple who's new to the area was impressed with their classic egg/bacon or ham or sausage/toast/hashbrown breakfast for only $10.99 and turkey sandwich lunch with soup or side for 10.99. They don't open til 10am on weekdays (8am on weekends). I love their veggie omelette $14.99 (minus cheese) loaded with grilled veg and perfectly executed hash browns. They do one bread slice toast instead of two which is fine since two is too much carbs it cuts down on food waste. Love coming here takes me back to the 80-90's homey and laid back place to go without breaking your wallet. I have relatives from Seattle who look forward to getting their famous Jeno's large combo pizza and baked spaghetti with spare ribs when they are in town. If you can eat bad, their hot fries, cheesy bread, chicken strips with honey mustard are good as a snack. They take cards now but the old cash machine is still there! Servers are very nice and part of the neighborhood ambience! Hope they do DoorDash soon I see there's clover delivery not sure if it's in effect. They have lunch specials on the board on weekdays sometimes have off menu items like shrimp melt and side. They have AC now during summer months. I see they offer gluten free crust option for their pizza's. As always, they serve store bought pies, ice creams, cookie and sundae basic desserts and there's always a soup of the day. Our regular go to for good diner American or Italian.

It was delicious and I cannot think of a better pasta place in the area! While it is on the pricier end for Italian (think ~$28 per dish for pasta) it was well worth it - everyone cleared their plates. I ordered the Gnocchi Primavera (hold the veggies, per the recommendation of our server) and it was divine. My husband had the Fettuccine al Salmone fumanto and said it was perfection. My mom had the Scampi di Gamberi and said it was amongst the best she's had. Both of my kiddos smashed on their kids pasta with red sauce. While the food was delicious, the team serving us is what made it top notch. They were tentative (but not annoying), helpful, patient, and friendly. We started with the Pappardelle Al Ragu Di Cinghiale, which was quite tasty, though the pasta felt a smidge on the drier side. Unfortunately, the Osso Buco ($75) missed the mark immensely. The veal was overdone and notably fatty, and the saffron risotto was very dry; it desperately needed a sauce to pull the components together. At that price point, I expected a much more refined execution. It's a lovely place to sit and the staff are wonderful, but the main courses didn't live up to the premium cost. Edit: I'm surprised by this response. I took the time to highlight what your team does well--the service and the atmosphere were truly lovely. My feedback on the Osso Buco was meant to be constructive, especially given the high price point. It's disappointing that instead of addressing a kitchen consistency issue, the suggestion is simply to eat elsewhere. I'll certainly take that advice.

Our son's been wanting to take us here for a long time and chose this, our first visit, as his wedding anniversary gift to us, his very dear and suffocatingly loving parents. The first thing that struck us were the variety of Italian foods and ingredients for sale in the grocery part of the restaurant. I bought the Garlic Scape Pesto because I've never had that type of pesto sauce so, why not? The staff at the front counter, who also doubled as hosts and wait staff, were very friendly. We arrived early for our reservation and only had a short wait before being seated at our table. We sat in the larger, outdoor section that was inside a tent. Our table offered great views of the outside and of the restaurant interior. I'm not sure why but when our son called in our reservation we had to pre-order our dishes and he had to pay for it then. The benefit of this was that after we were seated our orders came to our table within 10 minutes. We ordered the Vr11 Caesar Salad (which came with lemon-infused croutons!), two wood-fired pizzas and the Eggplant Parmigiana. The Caesar Salad appeared modest but when eating it, the lemon-infused croutons gave it a wow factor. My pizza was the Pizza Calabrese with two types of spicy Calabrian sausage, a Tropea Onion Jam, scarmozza (smoked mozzarella cheese, roast red peppers and grana padano. I didn't really get the smokiness in the cheese nor did the sausage chunks on pizza taste that spicy. But the clear star of the show was that Tropea Onion Jam which WAS spicy because I think 'NDuja sausage was mixed in with it. THERE was the heat I was looking for within a huge burst of flavor. That jam alone made the pizza. Our son loved his Pizza Carbonara ("It was amazing!") with the large dollops of stracciatella cheese with cured egg yolk, and curled guanchiale (pork jowl). This was our first tasting of guanchiale (our son graciously let me sample his pizza) and it was good. It was more like sliced pancetta and it was good. He loved his pizza but I tell ya, mine with that onion jam had already won me over. How much did my wife enjoy her Eggplant Parmigiana (which she also let me sample)? My wife usually doesn't finish her restaurant entrees. She finished this one. Nice marinara sauce flavors mixed with grated Grana Padano cheese and tender sliced grilled eggplant. I didn't pick up any grilled flavor from the eggplant but the dish was delicious. This was our son's second visit and we'd like to return for his third and our second. Both the grocery and restaurant are definite winners.

We ordered the margherita pizza, the funghi e tartufo, the hot lovers pasta with shrimp (level 3 spice), the spinach ravioli. Everything was delicious. My personal favorite was the mushroom pizza and the hot lovers pasta. The pasta definitely had a kick to it for level 3. The shrimp could have been replaced with alternative meat option because it didn't absorb the sauce like I would have liked it to. The ravioli was done well. The margherita was very tasty. We were planning on having dinner here one night but the ferry was late. By the time we pulled up it was already 30 minutes after they closed so we sat in our car parked across the street looking up what other places might still be open. Since it was my birthday, they also graciously treated me to dessert with a song, which was a thoughtful touch I ordered the Pesto Pasta and added chicken for an extra $5. I didn't mind paying the additional charge, but I was disappointed by how little chicken was included there were only one or two small pieces. The pesto sauce itself was flavorful, but it was quite rich and heavy because of the amount of cheese, making the dish a bit overwhelming by the end. The real star of the meal, however, was the tiramisu. It was honestly one of the best tiramisus I've ever had. The balance between the coffee flavor and sweetness was absolutely perfect, and the texture was light and creamy. I would happily come back just for the tiramisu. The portion was also very generous and could easily be shared between two people. The pasta portions were equally impressive. I couldn't finish mine, so I was happy to take the leftovers home for lunch the next day. Overall, I had a wonderful birthday dinner. Between the excellent service, generous portions, and outstanding tiramisu, this is a restaurant I would definitely return to.
