Had a great time enjoying libations while watching the more faring guests board and ski down the hill. This was my first time to Mammoth and I had an amazing time conversing and laughing with Ms Teri behind the bar! She was an amazing bartender and made my experience amazing. The ambiance is great as it stays pretty crowded and everyone's got a story to tell. The food from the food court was nothing special but the carbs helped soak up the booze!

This is THE place to visit after a busy ski day. LOVE hanging out on the deck on a sunny day with an Epic beer, marg or Mexican coffee. Grab lunch from Main Lodge and bring it out on the deck to eat. Pizza is fresh and yum, but my favorite is the grilled chicken sandwich with double fried French fries. Yum!!

We really love this place and been a fan favorite for over a decade. Been riding Mammoth Mountain for over a decade and this is definitely one of our favorite hangout spots for our pre-skiing. The drinks are pretty stiff, and the bartenders are always very nice to us. It's a pretty small bar area but they have huge TVs in case anyone in the group wants to watch sports. You can also order some food from the bartender as well. I really like the old rustic decor on the wall and it's close proximity to the chair lifts. Easy access and the bathrooms are right behind the walls. Call chill spot.

Lively, packed bar with friendly bartenders and a daytime rave feel. We were lucky enough to get seats at/near the bar during two visits and got great service. The bar manager is super chill and comped us a round of drinks that one of the bartenders forgot to charge us for that we brought to her attention. Honesty is definitely the best policy! We also had a nice chat with the DJ who kept the club vibe going. An entertaining and fun bar to get your drink on between runs.

The drinks here are a good excuse to come up to Mammoth any day of the week! My friends and i came here during St.Pattys's weekend. Two days at this bar gave us a lot of opportunity to sample both hot and cold drinks. And we all agreed the Tusks Bar is the place to be! We ordered the green beer (served only during St.Pattys's day), Peach cobbler, Broadway, Tusks Old Fashioned, Effem Cucumber Press, Cream Soda, Tusks Cinnamon Cider, and the (Sunday) Tusks Bloody Mary. And each drink was given two thumbs up by our group! Savory or sweet, each drink had its own tasty kick to it. My only regret is that we didn't try their St.Patty's Day Special Corned Beef Hotdog. From the people i saw eating them, their happy faces with the "mmmhhh-mmhhh" expressions made me think that it must be good! The staff was very attentive and friendly as well. And bar manager, Kristen, was an absolute delight! She kept our friend who didn't ski/snowboard entertained for a few hours. Overall, we enjoyed our ski/snowboarding trip at mammoth, but the Tusks bar and its staff made it even more enjoyable for both us skiers/riders and non-skiers/riders!

Awful. I was crazy patient standing in front of the barTender while she tried to get a hook up with some people from Tahoe. Eventually asked if I could just have a draft beer real quick and she said "I'm just having a conversation and then when I am done I will help you." Insane right? Unbelievable. I am an icon pass holder and own high velocity rental property here in mammoth. Will be recommending to all of my guests that they avoid the snobby brats at tusks bar. New bar at Canyon is great!

This bar is located in the main lodge on the 3rd floor across from the Broadway Marketplace or food court. It gets pretty crowded, but definitely worth a visit especially after snowboarding, skiing or even just walking about the village. I came for the SHOTSKI! It's a fun, new concept to taking shots with friends or family. There's ski's for groups of three & four. All your shots are attached to the same ski so you all really have to take your shots at the same time. The staff is also very accommodating in taking pictures or videos. Overall, great experience & I'd do it again! Bottoms up!

Service only at the bar. $19.50 for a small Bloody Mary. Tasty and a little spicy made it somewhat redeeming. Just a meh experience.

Did the prices go up this season? I was surprised when I ordered a Moscow mule and my bill was $18, last time I ordered this same drink, it was only $11.

Expecting customers to tip before they have evaluated the service or even laid eyes on their food is a highly objectionable business practice. This policy is especially frustrating when the subsequent service and food quality fail to justify that forced investment. As out-of-town visitors, we found the pub completely unaccommodating. There were zero instructions on how to order, making it feel exclusively geared toward locals who already know the routine. We had to flag down a staff member wiping tables outside just to learn we needed to scan a QR code. The service we received after being forced to tip was incredibly disappointing. Our beet salad arrived first, but the runner dropped it off and vanished so quickly that we couldn't ask for a second silverware setting. Since we intended to share the salad, we had to wait. The salmon plate didn't arrive until roughly 15 minutes later. When we finally managed to ask our waiter for the extra silverware, he treated a basic hospitality request as a major inconvenience. Getting a simple fork felt like pulling teeth. The value for the price is simply not there. The grilled salmon plate was remarkably small--well under three ounces of fish. To make matters worse, the accompanying vegetables consisted of literally three skinny asparagus spears and two even thinner carrots. Between the aggressive upfront tipping, the small portion fish size, and the dismissive attitude of the staff, this establishment has massive room for improvement. I am leaving a two-star rating in hopes that management will reconsider their ordering system and address these glaring service deficiencies.

From what we were told, they coordinate hours with The Yodler across the street, which handles lunch service. We only came for dinner, mostly out of convenience since we were staying at the hotel. The first night, I ordered the bison osso bucco -- oh my god, it was really good. Tender, flavorful, and served with mashed potatoes and green beans. Zero complaints. My husband ordered the salmon and was pretty disappointed; it tasted like it had been frozen far too long. The second night, I went with the short rib grilled cheese with tomato soup, and again -- delicious. Honestly, what's a better combo than grilled cheese and tomato soup? Now add short rib? Wow. Meanwhile, my husband got the burger, which was cold, dry, and flavorless. He couldn't finish it, although the fries were very good. So either I'm excellent at ordering... or he just had bad luck two nights in a row. Bottom line: don't go out of your way to eat here, but you can find something good on the menu. They have a full bar and lots of TVs, which is nice after a ski day. There are definitely better restaurants down the mountain in town, but if you don't feel like driving, this place will do just fine.

This was particularly true of the 25/26 season, and I found myself there in what was likely one of the last powder days of the season. I stayed in the Mammoth Creek Inn, a short walk away from Mammoth Bowl, but this is not the first time I've been there. Mammoth Rock Brasserie is somewhat hidden as it exists above a bowling alley, but it is undeniably one of the rare gems in Mammoth Lakes. I walked in at about 5:30pm without a reservation on a Saturday, and everything was great. I got seated quickly near the window with a great view, and was given the rundown of the specials of the day, which I'll be grading individually. - Hamachi Special "Hamachi Crudo" (5/5) - done to absolute perfection, the choice of sauces and a small amount of ginger and seaweed salad made for a perfect tasing experience. The sashimi is fresh of course, but what sauces you pair with it matters - and Brasserie did it perfectly - Seabass special "Loup de Mer au Beurre Blanc" (5/5) - done to perfection! The skin was perfectly crispy, and the fillet done amazingly well and combined with the Beurre Blanc made for an incredible pairing. The mashed potato side and asparagus was also great, although I wasn't really a fan of the root vegetables. There was also the complementary bread and salted butter which were a great way to start. The bread I believe comes from Shea Schat's bakery in the same town. Overall everything was amazing, and you're overlooking some of the best views of Mammoth Lake's mountain range. It's difficult to not recommend the experience, except maybe it being a somewhat pricey fine dining experience, but I think everyone should try it at least once!

Decided to still try out a couple of new spots to give Mammoth a chance and was pleasantly surprised by Mammoth Tavern. Stopped in on a Saturday night and were told that the wait would be about 30 to 40 minutes but were seated in about 10! I highly recommend waiting in their waiting area or downstairs for your table as they will come to find to if something opens up quicker. Everything we ordered was tasty. We were very hesitant to try the Asian sticky ribs but it actually ended up being really good. I can't remember what the vegetable dish (4th pic) was called but it was also very good if you got a bite with everything in it. It had sweet potato, beet, candied walnuts and pomegranate seeds! We also ordered some drinks. The curry drink (forgot the name) was surprisingly good despite the odd list of ingredients that went in. Their local black cherry soda was also very nice. Service is great and very helpful when it came to recommendations. The space is small and doesn't allow dogs which was a bummer but still a spot I would come back to try more of their seasonal items!

We hardly saw our server. She came once to take our order, someone else brought our drinks and food, then that was it. All other tables, including next to us, had their servers checked in on them. Ours disappeared. There were only 8 other tables filled up. After finishing our food and drinks, another server came up to us to ask if we needed anything else. This took another 10-15 minutes for the check to arrive...from our original server. The bill came out to $99.44. We left a $15 tip. We probably should have just left the tip blank due to the poor service and not knowing the trouble this would cause. A few days later, a $1,599.44 bill posted to my credit card. Yes, over a thousand dollars charged for a $100 meal. They took the $15 tip as a $1500 tip. I don't even know how someone could make that mistake since we only wrote $15 in the tip line. The service certainly does not deserve a $1000 tip. I still have the original receipt and we only signed for $114.44 marked in the total. How that was changed to $1,599.44 is just bonkers and just plain robbery. Now I have to dispute this with Chase. So save those receipts, and watch out for this business.
