When you can get a free alignment check elsewhere and a professional alignment done for nearly half that price, it's hard to trust recommendations here. This is my honest firsthand experience buying a vehicle here so other people can be aware. We found a car that seemed like a great deal and test drove it. The salesperson was sweet and welcoming, but by the time we closed the deal we felt misguided and left out of the loop on important details, both about the car and the finances. There were numbers we went over and were told, and when we reviewed everything later it just didn't add up based on the conversations we had. We were there for so long, felt rushed into the decision, and walked away feeling completely blindsided. The car was a Mazda CX 90 plug in hybrid, and the plug in feature was miserable. The EV range only gets 26 miles fully charged, and if it's not fully charged you barely get 21 to 22 miles. On top of that it needs premium gas, and if you use regular 87 you get engine knocking. So why would I ever run anything but premium on a car I just bought, and none of that was communicated to us. We found it buried in the manual. The car looked pretty and we loved it at first, but the focus never felt like it was on the actual details, price point, or real value. We tried to like it for about a month and a half to 2 months and finally decided we had to get rid of it. When we went to another dealership we found out we were almost 11,000 dollars in negative equity on a brand new car, which was a huge shock and showed us how much we got bamboozled. I'll give credit on one thing, the service team helped us get a new windshield since it had chips and cracks before we drove off the lot, and they covered it, which was honestly the only positive from all this. Otherwise the Apple CarPlay wasn't working, the plug in wasn't working, just headache after headache. The finance side made everything feel rushed too. It was very much a sign this, you're on your own now kind of energy, with things not clearly explained as far as costs. This is the 6th or 7th car we've purchased and by far the worst experience I've had with any dealership. When we came back to say we wanted out, the response was basically you don't like the car, what do you want me to do. No apology, no is there anything we can do, just here's your problem, we can't help. Then we were told to go do a private sale since we'd get a better offer than anything they could do. Overall, it was an awful experience. Definitely do your research on the car and the numbers before you sign, don't feel forced into anything just because it's being pushed on you, and go in with your eyes open. I'm only sharing this so future customers have more insight before working with this dealership.

I provided what the OTD should be along with a breakdown of what my payments would be with the base price, X down, .99% interest listed on Hyundai's site, and loan years. Unfortunately today he text me accusing me of not understanding and telling me I couldn't have the .99% interest and get the base price I was quoted. He then gave me an OTD $4k+ higher than what we talked about. In all honesty I could've just refinanced when I got my first payment and got the OTD price I wanted, but the condescending manner in which he spoke to me wasn't worth it. From the jump he was rude, talking down to me asking if I'd ever bought a car, but I looked past it with the goal of car purchase. But the attitude overall, especially at the end when he realized I knew what I wanted and he couldn't play games was enough to turn me off from Tustin Hyundai. Unfortunately, several small issues added up and left a sour taste in my mouth after what should have been an exciting purchase. I want to be fair and make it clear that I'm not writing this to personally put down our salesman, Brian, or our finance representative, Carlos. Both were friendly and professional throughout most of the process. My concern is how several things were handled once the contract was signed. I recently purchased a used GMC Sierra and was under the impression it would come with two key fobs. I understand it's a used vehicle and, in hindsight, I probably should have specifically asked. But when you're making a major purchase, certain details simply don't cross your mind. What bothered me was not finding out there was only one key until AFTER I signed the contract. A replacement key and programming aren't free, and knowing there was only one could have been part of the negotiation. Finding out afterward made me feel like information that could potentially affect the deal wasn't disclosed until the deal was complete. The truck was also missing a floor mat. Again, by itself, not a huge issue. But it followed the same pattern: something that probably could have been easily addressed before signing suddenly became, essentially, "You bought a used truck; that's the way it is." What really pushed the experience from disappointing to frustrating was the fuel. Before completing the purchase, Brian told me the truck would come with a full tank of gas. Later, while in finance, I asked Carlos as well, and he confirmed a full tank. After everything was signed, I walked out to my truck and found approximately half a tank. When I asked about it, I was shown a sheet stating the dealership could only add four gallons. At that point, after a long day and with other commitments waiting for me, I simply needed to leave. The issue isn't the cost of half a tank of gas--it's the principle. If two employees tell a customer something is included, it should be honored. If dealership policy only allows four gallons, that should be explained before promising a full tank, not after the contract is signed. Individually, the key fob, floor mat and fuel are relatively small things. Collectively, they create an uncomfortable pattern where the good news comes before the signature and the disappointing details come afterward. I also purchased the Platinum Protection Plan because I specifically wanted the dealership's best level of extended coverage. I spent a substantial amount of additional money on it, yet I left without a clear explanation or documentation showing exactly what my plan covers. I asked about the coverage and was essentially told it covers everything, but I still don't have enough information to understand exactly what I purchased. That's frustrating after spending tens of thousands of dollars on a vehicle and additional money protecting it. I'm not asking for special treatment, and I understand I purchased a used truck. I simply believe transparency and follow-through matter. If something isn't included, tell me before I sign. If something is promised, honor it. And if I purchase your highest-level warranty, make sure I leave knowing exactly what I paid for. I really like my Sierra and wanted to leave the dealership excited and confident about my purchase. Instead, these little things left me wondering: if these details weren't disclosed or honored, what else might I discover later? That's why I feel 3 stars is fair. The experience wasn't horrible, but it wasn't the level of transparency, follow-through, or customer care I expected when making a purchase this significant.

We were told directly that the vehicle had been properly examined before being placed in inventory and sold to us. Less than 10 days after purchasing the vehicle, it began vibrating. When we brought the issue to their attention, we were eventually told that the problem was related to the upper and lower torque mounts. Getting the dealership to address the issue was already an unnecessary hassle, including dealing with the sales manager, Eric, as well as Yesenia and Jennifer in the service department. They ultimately repaired it at no cost to us, rightfully so. The vehicle continued to vibrate even after their repair. Because we were not getting answers from Acura Tustin, we took the vehicle to another independent auto shop for an inspection. They provided us with a printed outline documenting multiple issues they found with the vehicle. These issues should have been identified during a proper inspection before this vehicle was placed in inventory and sold to a customer. Note, I have not even made my first car payment due to how early on this whole purchase has been. That is especially concerning because we were specifically told that the vehicle had been properly examined and was well maintained. We then repeatedly contacted the dealership and were told that the manager and service department would call us back by specific dates. They never did. We were left chasing them for answers about a vehicle they had sold to us as properly inspected and well maintained. What happened today was the final straw. My mother, who is currently battling cancer, went to the dealership in person to try to get some answers. She was told that the manager, John, was not there. I subsequently called the dealership myself and learned that John was, in fact, in the building. At this point, this is no longer just about a vibrating vehicle. It is about integrity, accountability, and how customers are treated once the sale is complete. Penh, Jefferson, and the rest of the sales team will do all they can to seal the deal when purchasing. But when there is an actual problem after the sale, our experience has been completely different with ignored phone calls, broken promises, excuses, and conflicting information from BOTH sales department and service department. We feel that we were sold a vehicle under the impression that it had been thoroughly inspected and properly maintained, only to have a significant issue arise almost immediately. We then had an independent shop inspect the vehicle and provide us with written documentation of additional issues that should have been caught before the vehicle was sold. Even after Acura Tustin's attempted repair, the original vibration remains unresolved. This is a company that lacks integrity and does a shoddy job. The way we have been treated throughout this entire experience has been unacceptable. A dealership's responsibility should not end the moment a customer drives off the lot. If you are considering purchasing a vehicle here, get your own independent inspection and verify everything yourself. Do not simply take their word for it. We have contacted Lithia corporate and in communications with them. This has been an extremely POOR and UNPROFESSIONAL experience. Update 9/8/2026: Went in with my partner to talk with the manager, John. Off the bat, he was very dismissive and avoidant. He was furious with our claims, and made harassment comments to my partner because she was vocal and communicative about the car issue, which is also in her name. Then he threw paper at her. Towards the end, he became terribly apologetic, and attempted to rectify the issue with another shoddy attempt of nothingness. Begged her to not tell anyone.
