This review is specifically for the service department and Paul. I brought my car in for service and was quoted $267 and later was told that I needed brakes and tires replaced for an extra $1400. I don't mind paying the money, but Paul should mention up front that typically these are the parts that need to be replaced at 70,000 miles up front; customer service is all about managing customer expectations, and Paul didn't do this. Additionally, the loaner car I was given was dirty on the interior as it had multiple mud stains in the trunk and dirty foot prints on the passenger side dashboard. After picking up my car and leaving the dealership, I come to find out that they had not vacuumed my interior. I called and asked if this is a part of the service, to which they respond yes. They asked me if i'd like to bring it back to get it vacuumed, but I'm short on time and can't. This should've been handled yesterday; I left my car for over 24 hours there. Needless to say, I'm chomping at the bit to get a follow-up call from them about how my service experience went. This will be my last time there. read more

Serous considering CT200h, so we went to test drive it at Tustin Lexus b/c it is the nearest dealership to our home. The sales rep told us we cannot test drive it until we agree on the price and the terms first, and we just walked out at that point. He said that's because of the high demand of this car. I then called Lexus at Mission Viejo, they said I can come test drive anytime. This car is in relatively high demand but it is not like the $400k Lexus race car, we can test drive CT all day long. I went to Tustin Lexus a few years back when I wanted to purchase a GS, and I was not feel welcomed there, they weren't rude to me, they just make up all these rules that seems like I am back to the first day of school in my first grade, I can't do this, I can't do that, type of situation. Maybe it's my bad luck? However, I have never tried their service department yet, don't know how good/bad that is, but I don't any energy to deal with them and I rather take my car back to Mission Viejo for service. read more

My wife and I bought an IS250 a few days ago. The salesman Rex was great. I would give him 4 stars easily. He was knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. So, the reason for the one star- The financing guy Dave Straider is the reason for the one star. The first thing out of his mouth was about the service contract only available for a short time "in fact, only available right now...no pressure though." He literally said that - available right now only...no pressure though. I loathe high pressure sales. He was very very pushy as far as purchasing the service plan, which btw would have added about $3500 to the price of the vehicle. He vigorously pushed the service contact. He told me it would be between $200 (now)-$450 (pay-go) per service - pay now and save. I told him that I have a great mechanic; family friend and Toyota mechanic - ASE Master. His next question was "well, does he do the work for free?" We went back-and-fourth like this for a few minutes. I understand he stands to gain from the sale of the plans, however, he nearly lost the deal completely pushing me in this manner. My wife intervened. Cooler heads prevailed. He threatened that I may void my warranty if I don't have it serviced by the dealership. Talk about pressured sale. Geez. Aside from 15,30, 45, 60,000, etc, service -service means and oil change, filter, lube and fluid level top off. $450 for that is laughable. Maybe I was misinformed, but that is what I took away from it. The warranty conversation also lead by Dave was to add 3 years to our 3 year warranty. I informed that we were not interested. He asked "why? What if something happens on the 4th year?" I was taken aback. I told him I am aware of the liability I may face after the 3 years of 100000 miles. The conversation ended when I told him that I feel like he was trying to sell me something I don't want. He said tersely, that I don't have to buy anything, just sign the form. WOW. My wife and I talked about it after the fact. We talked about it with my family and friends as well. The most experienced car buyer I know (buys new cars vs buying tires. I jest.) said he was surprised that Lexus would use such sales tactics. The more I think about it, the more I get irritated. We did get a really nice car through the deal. I just think I should have been treated better. I am obviously not the most savvy car buyer and feel somewhat demeaned. I doubt we will ever purchase anything from Tustin Lexus again. It's very unlike me to write a review, but I've been so outraged with my experience at Tustin Lexus that I needed people know that they will LIE to you just to make a deal. Previously leased my IS250 from Newport Lexus and one of the value added benefits they offer are complimentary car washes. I'm literally a block away from Newport Lexus, so I love this added value benefit. Plus, I'm very clean in general, so the idea of complimentary car washes would definitely entice me. If you get your car washed 1x/week at $15 (usually it's more), for a 36-month lease that's $2160. My dad was in town and shopping for a Lexus himself, so we dropped by Tustin Lexus for some due diligence before heading to Newport. My lease was also up and I was under mileage by 2000 miles. We talked to the Sales Rep Sam M. and my dad told him what he was looking for and I also mentioned my car. He really jumped at the chance of getting me a good deal. Really wasn't interested in giving my dad a deal (in all fairness, my dad was over mileage and he didn't have his car with him). I even told Sam, "At Lexus, I get complimentary car washes and I really like that." He said, "Don't worry Newport will wash your car for free. They are owned by the same owner." He even showed me a water bottle saying, "Look it's the same company." I asked SEVERAL times throughout the process ALL the way till the very end about the complimentary car washes and he kept telling me Yes I'd get free car washes at Newport. I kept saying, "Are you sure?" One week later, when I went to Newport to get my car washed, the attendant told me that they only wash cars that were purchased/leased at Newport. He even told me that they've been getting a lot of people coming from Tustin saying their sales rep told them the exact same thing. The guy was very sweet and gave me the number of the service manager to see if there was anything to be done. The service manager at Newport was REALLY nice and I called AJ D'Amoto (owner of Newport Lexus). He got my info and told me he would call me back. He seemed very nice on the phone. By the way, I called the Sales Rep when I was at Newport Lexus and he told me that he didn't know anything about the policy change and he was sorry but then explained why the policy had been changed. I even said, "You didn't know all this information a week ago when I purchased my car?" This afternoon I got a call back from Michael D'Amoto (brother to AJ and owner of Tustin Lexus). What outrages me is that he was very rude to me right from the start. He told me that his sales rep said something different than what I was saying and so I said, "You're going to believe your sales rep over your customer?" And, he said, "yes!" It makes no sense that I would lie. I even told him that I could have my parents (both were with me) and my fiancé (who showed up at the end) tell him what the sales rep told me over and over again. Again, Michael D'Amoto was again very rude to me and said, "That didn't matter." He kept telling me I got a good deal, but a good deal isn't a good deal when you aren't given all the facts. I lost my choice of going to Newport Lexus because I believed the salesman. It's not right to do business this way. It's never OKAY to be lied to about anything. If you aren't sure about something, take a moment to call and find out, especially when your customer seems to care about this thing. What's more is that they can make it right. A special VIP sticker can be put on my car allowing me to get complimentary washes at Newport. I was told by Newport Lexus that this had been done on cars before. read more

I have had by far the worst experience that I have ever had at any dealership. My experience here actually defers me from even wanting to buy a Lexus anymore. I have always been a long time Lexus fan and so have my family. We have the ES and the CT. But the customer service here was so horrible I would not even recommend Lexus to anyone now. The sales associates are very shady, trying to change the price of the car after half the paperwork was already signed. I was literally in the office finishing paperwork for the car with the price that I, the sales associate Greg, and the so-called "manager" Youseef agreed upon, when they came in and changed the price of the car last minute saying they could no longer do that price and wanted $650 more. So I literally wasted 2 hours signing paper work and then they decide to try and bump up the price. I feel that that is extremely unprofessional and not very good business ethic at all. I don't recommend this location, customer service is basically non existent here. This location definitely does not live up to Lexus' commitment of "providing the highest level of customer satisfaction". If I were you, I would not even give this place a chance because i guarantee you that you will be highly disappointed in the way they treat their customers. No wonder this place has such low ratings, I witnessed it first hand. Don't worry though, I sent a written complaint to Lexus corporate so maybe things will change in the future. read more

Why oh why would you come here when you have other options? I came here twice. First time, not so bad. We were greeted by Moussef who was quite nice and just fine to deal with. The second time was a different story. I showed up with the promise that the car I was waiting for was in. Once I showed up, I found out it actually was not available. I had to deal with a manager named Derek--a complete manifestation of all bad car salesman stereotypes. He made empty promises at least 5 times, was rude, manipulative, and just BS'd the entire time. Wow! These guys have some brass balls! Let me tell you about my experience, and it was an experience alright. I drive to Tustin Lexus because they are my "local" Lexus dealer and I like to support my local businesses, even if I pay a bit more. I'm shopping with my mother-in-law for an IS250, for her, and we settle on a specific color, features, etc. Now comes the part that we ALL dread and for good reason. The good ol' haggle. After our salesman writes up an offer, which we thought was high (shocker), he brings in his "manager". Now this guy, you have to picture him, straight out of the movie Glen Gary Glennross, big sweaty cheeseball, insulting, rude, and clearly having a bad day. So, after he was done offending our intelligence, the negative energy drove us straight for the doors. After we leave, they start calling us apologizing for our awful experience. They said they wanted to make up for the bad experience with offering us a great price. And so I thought that the price they offered was fair, but I was still hesitant to come back in. After a long thought, I did end up purchasing the car here strictly because of the price. The experience was awful, I wouldn't shop here again. read more

Lousy customer service by Kevin Aghajani. I'm shopping for a car and specifically dealing with the internet because they are more flexible in dealing over the internet and phone than the guys on the floor. With each brand I'm corresponding the same way by giving them my trade vin, pictures and other details when requested and asking for an approximate value. Every brand from Kia to Hyundai gave me what I wanted all except Kevin, who basically said to me I don't have the time for you if you don't bring your car in for me to eyeball it, go to KBB yourself and figure it out. So I thought okay let me check the customer service at another Lexus dealer OMG! it was completely the opposite experience, they were so helpful and courteous true to the Lexus philosophy. I immediately stopped shopping and purchased from them, it's all about customer service and Kevin at Tustin Lexus dropped the ball I will never go to Tustin Lexus and I will make sure that I spread the word to everyone I know. read more

They call them stealerships for a reason. Be wary of getting an honest price quote from this place. They will say anything to get you through the doors like: "we will beat any price from another dealer". But this is a lie. Do not discuss financing or incentives prior to getting a price in writing. I cannot emphasize enough how you must get your agreed upon price in writing from the sales person/manager. They will try to screw you, whether it be add-ons or warranties, etc... And they will make you a deal on a car they don't have and will stall long enough to get it. They've lost my trust, and I will never go back for a new car or for service. Do not buy from this place!!!!!!! You will get a super bad customer service. You will notice it already by just calling them on the phone. Operator does not even know how to speak english and will transfer you a million times to find the right person for you. I experienced a pressure selling people and they will even force you to buy PREPAID MAINTENANCE, they will tell you that its worth it but trust me its not! They said its refundable but they gave me a hell of a hard time to get my refund!!!!!! Took them almost 4 months to send the refund check. We were here last Sunday 6/26 , we were in the lot looking at cars, I already know what kind of car I'm looking for in mind already. The Vietnamese salesman came and asked us if we need any help, forgot to ask for his name. He showed us the car which IS 200t f sport with navi. I really like the car, the car still has wraps on, pretty much brand new, never test drove... We went back to the room and talk about numbers. He kept asking me what's my number, how's my credit score. I asked him back the same question and he never answer my question. I gave him the lowest number in mind thinking of negotiating my way up. I told him 39,500, he said no way that he could sell me at that price. I asked him then what's the best price that he could do? He kept said "I cannot do 39,500." I told him I know, now what's your price?, he just walked out and said I offered too low and he won't give me his price. Seems like he didn't want to do business with us. I was so mad, what kinda salesman is that? I'm willing to negotiate, But he doesn't want to then guess what? I'm taking my business somewhere else. I then went to Westminster Lexus and got treated so much better. I finally got my car. One star for walking us to the parking on the roof to show us the car. My wife and I went by the Tustin Lexus dealership this afternoon. A salesman approached us and ask if he could help us. We asked if they had a ct200h to look at and he said no. He was as rude as it gets and we were shocked. He said is there anything else you want and as I was asking why they didn't have any ct200h he just walked away. Another salesman quickly ran up to us as we were leaving and apologized for this guys behavior. He said that this particular salesman didn't want to lose his turn on a customer that he thought wasn't going to buy a car. The rude salesman was about 50 yrs. old and wore a dark blue dress shirt. This dealership has consistently kept plenty of inventory on hand, terrific people on staff, and they have the best prices! We always call DAVE PETERSON, Internet and Sales, as he is professional, makes it easy for us to work out all the details prior to our arrival at the dealership. Dave has an exceptionally pleasing personality, goes the extra mile, and is a man of his word. He can be counted on to honor the deal that was made previous to filling out the paperwork. DAVE STRADER, Finance Director, is very efficient and quick. Although he informs us of our options, he is never pushy. DEREK in the service department, is also friendly and easy to work with. All in all, we would give Tustin Lexus a rating of "10" and it just doesn't get better than that! read more

My Lexus RX330 is on the dashboard recall list. After numerous calls I was advised that they can't remember the last time the RX330 dashboard came in. I have been advised I wasn't on the list. Then I was on the list stating the date of April 28, 2016. I was then advised I'm in the middle of the last. I received a call from Steve today advising me they made an error. I was on the list In January 2016. I have approximately 50 consumers ahead of me. This of course means nothing to me. They can't remember the last time they received a dashboard for my SUV. We never even got into the color I needed. Is this a joke?? May take a year. Hope I live to see my new dashboard. BTW I was also advised if I needed it.....I could pay for it. How can that be??? I have to say I was very skeptical when I read the review on yelp before I went to Tustin Lexus. Once I got there, and mind you it was already 8pm, I was immediately greeted by Ramiro Moreno. I told him what kind of car I was looking for, which was a compact fuel efficient car, he introduced me to the Ct200h. Since there obviously was not enough time that day to close a deal, he still have me test drive the car and made an appointment for the next day to come back and talk more about the numbers. When I cam back the next day, it was Memorial Day weekend and they were BUSAYYY! My mom and I went up to the dealership and was treated by another gentlemen and told him that I had an appointment with Ramiro, it didn't take us long to see that he was already showing another customer some other cars. But to my surprise, I didn't even have to wait 2 mins and Ramiro was already heading over to help me. He asked if I wanted to see the car again in the day light and I said sure. Through out the whole time when talking numbers, my mom had out little pup teetop with us, he's about 10lbs. The employees there were sooooo friendly to him. And I'm a dog person, if your nice to my dog. Then I'm going to be nice to you haha. Ramiro really helped us with the numbers and finally we came to a decision on the final price. Now I've had to go through the process of buying a car 2 separate times before this and I've got to tell you, this was the fastest car buying experience ever. Ramiro filled the car up with gas, even gave me some goodies to take home with me. Took time out to show me how to use all the gadgets on the car and gave me his cell number, so if I had any questions what so ever, I could call him. All in all, I loved my experience despite the horrible yelp reviews. Ramiro Moreno is a great salesmen and made my first lexus purchase that much better. Go see Ramiro Moreno for your car purchases. NEVER COME TO THIS PLACE! It's not even worth a star! Don't waste your time!!!! This is the worst dealership I have ever seen. Salesperson Peter Chan verbally promised us one price in the morning then ask us to shop for insurance. In the afternoon he kept us waiting about three hours and kept telling us to wait. He even provided us the VIN number for us to purchased the insurance. Then he told us that the price he offered in the morning was not valid anymore, so we agreed to pay more. Then another hour of waiting. At the end, he told us that they can't find the car in the lot. I was speechless, after my complain, Peter was upset with me and humiliated me. Within The time we had been waiting there, lots of calls were coming, it's all about who was upset. There were a guy who had some problem with Peter and argued with him for long time. I had the most horrible experience at Newport Lexus so I was referred to Tustin Lexus and can I say that I had an amazing experience. Ask for Damon!!! He is awesome and honest! He helped me get into the car I wanted for a payment that I could afford. No games and was upfront with everything. After having been to a few different car dealerships before coming to Tustin Lexus , I was pretty sure that all car dealerships were the same. Boy was I wrong! Tustin Lexus far exceeds any other dealership I have been to. Everyone was nice too! Well, as I stated on my review before. DAVE was true to his word, he is by far the best salesperson, attentive, truly will work to get you the best deal. The experience was fantastic. Specifically, we were very happy with our Internet Sales Manger, Rex Urasaki. He was very knowledgeable about every aspect of the vehicle from Tech, to drive train to the available options of the car. He personally explained all features of the car, had the car washed and detailed and the entire process was extremely forward and fast. The price was unbeatable and fantastic as compared to all So. Cal. dealers that we had received quotes from. We had gotten another Lexus from South County Lexus a couple of months ago for my wife and in retrospect, we wish we would have gotten it from Tustin Lexus. Lesson learned. read more

We just had the best experience at Tustin Lexus. We have been shopping for a luxury car for my wife for a little while. She has set her mind on a specific color which is kind of rare. We went to several dealership and none of those are as helpful as Tustin Lexus' John Braun. John didn't have this specific color in the house at the time and he worked very hard to try to get the model for us. I was kind of suspicious at the beginning due to experience at other places. But he was working extremely hard and keeping us updated on the daily basis. I can tell he really wants to keep his customer happy. Worst example of luxury auto dealers. They are the oldest and most run down dealership LEXUS has. Their customer service lacks in the service department. Rude from Norma (receptionist) to service Mgr Steve Buttsworth. Have had several issues over the years. Save your money and time. Go elsewhere, I'm sure Jiffy Lube is much better!!! Don't worry. I am going Newport LEXUS. Even making an appointment was easier and pleasant. Convenient that they replace my airbag in five hours, unlike Tustin Lexus who quoted 4-5 days!! I will never be back to buy a car or service. Your service manager hung up on me and REFUSED to let me speak to general manager!! Made me purchase a tire instead of repairing or offering to place temp tire to take elsewhere, instead was forced to purchase overpriced tire from you. Only offered a discount AFTER I took to social media. I've already complained to LEXUS Customer Care too. I'm still waiting for Tustin Lexus to notify me when my 2007 Lexus LS 460 will have its' potentially faulty front passenger air bag inflaters replaced, as published on the May 24, 2016 Business section of the LA Times under the heading "Toyota issues air bag recall". The last time I inquired about this from their Service Department on June 29, 2016, I was told the "part was not available yet".
