After talking to some more people about my experience, they told me that I was duped. I asked Elle if I could just get the oil change instead of the 5000 mile package since my car hadn't been driven 5000 miles since its last oil change. Elle told me they only offered the packages, so I had to get one of them if I wanted the oil change at all. Now, people are telling me that I should have been able to get the oil change instead of paying for the whole package. This review is for the service department only; I bought my vehicle elsewhere. Long Story Short: Questionable business practices combined with sub-par customer service, a lack of technical expertise and general incompetence make this the kind of business you should avoid like the plague. RUN, don't walk away ASAP! The Full 411: Back when my 2018 Mazda 3 was new, I made a habit of getting all the regularly scheduled factory maintenance done here.  I didn't start having serious trouble with either the service department or my vehicle until the bumper-to-bumper warranty ( 36 months or 36,000 miles) was about to expire.  While the warranty was still in full force, the leather on the front seats started spontaneously curling and shrinking.  Despite the fact that the car had been garaged for the whole time I owned it, the seats looked like they had been left in blazing desert for months.  I brought them in to be repaired, and the service department had their regular techs replace the leather on both seats. The next thing that broke was the stereo/navigation system control mechanism.  Just a couple of months after the 36 month warranty expired, it basically quit working, and it became impossible to listen to music or use the navigation system.  I took the car into the dealer, and they said they'd need to replace stereo/navigation system control mechanism.  Unfortunately, as it was just out of warranty, they insisted on charging me a $500 "co-pay" to do the job! Fast forward to about a year after the 36 month warranty expired.  The leather on the front seats began separating from the seat bases.  This time when I brought it in to the dealer, they judged that the latest problem was caused by their lack of experience with this type of repair; they agreed to have the seats repaired a 2nd time by a professional upholstery shop.  I would have been very pleased with this, except: 1) The dealer charged me a $600 "co-pay" to have the seat repair done over again. 2) The leather on the seats has now once again separated from the bases!  To add insult to injury, a few months later the "new" stereo/navigation system control mechanism developed an intermittent problem that causes it to randomly changes stations and/or fast forward while playing music or books.  No WAY am I taking the car back to this dealership to be overcharged for what should be free repairs and THEN have them do faulty work.  I'm done with this place, and will take my next new Mazda elsewhere for maintenance and repair - I suggest you learn from my mistakes and do the same. read more

SERVICE DEPARTMENT is consistent and reliable. A dealership service department is never inexpensive but they seem to get the job done right the first time. Whenever I have service on my Mazda I need done, I always call two other shops for quotes. Tustin Mazda always quotes within the ball park (5% or so) but has enough service technicians to get the job done quickly and correctly. We work with the same service writer easy time (Damien) really like him. He knows what needs to be done and quotes accurately so there are no surprised. If there are situations where related work may need to be done, he tells us and quotes us beforehand. read more

First and foremost, I was extremely happy with the level of service, professionalism, and humility the staff at Tustin Mazda has demonstrated. Prior to dealing with them, I was extremely stressed and displeased by another Mazda dealership that was closer to my locale (PH). I was able to test drive the car that I was eyeing, but I didn't appreciate the way they conducted themselves and tried to game me. Luckily, I had a contact that referred me to Tustin and I dealt with Jim on a Saturday. He was courteous, transparent, and even sent me a breakdown with several options to match my situation.
