Located in vintage oaks plaza, this is the perfect dessert stop to treat yourself after shopping! Yes! Treating yourself, after a treat! Parking is easy, place is clean, staff is friendly. Now let's talk about their yogurt. For self-serve, I ALWAYS get a heap of original tart, topped with mochis, strawberries, kiwis and sprinkles. I'm predictable like that! If I feel a little bit spontaneous, I add fudge brownies. For me, you can tell a good yogurt place by how they perfect their original tart! They offer a huge variety of fresh toppings too! Win! Hands down one of the best froyo in the bay and have been coming here since they opened over 10 years ago. They offer classic flavors as well as seasonal. Yum! Tuttimelon is always a good option. I've been "customer friendly" with John the owner for a while. Although not to the point where he would remember me by name when I come in but that doesn't matter. We first went here years ago so I guess this review was a bit late. However better late than never. They offer an extremely clean and friendly environment. They train their workers especially the teen workers to be ultra customer friendly and they are. These workers stay on top of the restaurant, keeping it clean, and making sure all the customers are satisfied and happy. They offer multiple options including one vegan non-dairy option at all times. That option tends to be pineapple or some other fruity type flavor. I wish there a vegan option would be something like coconut or something more basic so it didn't conflict with the toppings too much. But it doesn't stop me from going. He also has a nice selection of sorbet is an ice cream's with many vegan options in that display case. And they offer some smoothies. Overall a great place to take the kids and they like to play Tom and Jerry cartoons which the kids really like. We got kicked out since we didn't have masks, but Tuttimelon doesn't provide masks ...Marin county doesn't require them so I don't carry them around. Mike and Marissa (owners) are such wonderful human beings. Asides from having the BEST frozen yogurt and gelato in town, and the cutest shop, they truly care about the level of customer service they provide. My daughter loves this place! I went in today to grab some frozen yogurts and gelato for 36 children and 6 teachers for my daughter's camp. It. Is. Hot. Out! They went out of their way to make sure I had everything the kids may need, assuring me that the toppings did not cross-contaminate with any nuts. The kids absolutely loved it and the color-changing spoons! Total win!! I hope the other families will give them a try and support them. Typically I wouldn't review a place like this, since I find most Fro-Yo pretty much the same. But, this particular Tuttimelon has been one of my regular spots for a long time when I come to the Novato Mall. On a warm day, there's probably no better place to be refreshed. One thing that makes this spot unique is that they serve Gelato and have a full on Gelato bar , which many other Fro-Yo spots don't have. Most people gravitate towards all the yogurt goodness, so the Gelato bar is often times underrated because not many people go for it. Go for it! It's delicious. Their downside is selection, but what they lack in yogurt selection they make up with taste and with their topping selections. As any place that serves many children, there's always a time when I may be busy/packed, but service is always pleasant and the prices are reasonable. We don't live in Novato, but when we come into town we like to hit up Tuttimelon. I love that they have real cookie dough and not those powder covered balls that other places call cookie dough. What I really dislike is being hovered over. See, here at Tuttimelon, you can't do your own taste cups. An employee has to do it for you. Lame. And after you use a machine an employee is literally right behind you waiting to clean the machine, or sweep a sprinkle that fell on the counter. Like, back up! Love this place! Our family, like so many others, have been coming here for years, and we're happy to support our local business. I guess this post is more of a mini-vent session than a review, because, honestly, their fro-yo is always delish, especially when covered in chocolate pixies and fruit toppings. No, my complaint is that, with businesses more or less fully opened and restrictions significantly reduced, Tuttimelon's website reflects that the store is open until 10pm on Fridays & Saturdays; except that twice now, we have arrived less than five minutes after 9pm, excited because the lights are all on and the door wide open--only to get inside and be told "...Oh, sorry, we're closed; we closed at 9 since COVID...". Okay, fair enough, but it's been almost two years and no one thought to update the store's website to reflect that??? Not everyone (certainly not me) goes to Yelp first when looking for a business' hours--most go to the website. So, Dear Tuttimelon Owner(s), please update your website to reflect your current hours of operation so that your loyal, local patrons don't suffer the disappointing anguish of dashed expectations on an otherwise awesome Friday night! I love Tuttimelon! It is such a fun place to grab a sweet treat with the kiddos after school, baseball or whatever you are doing. It is rare to come here and not see kids and parents enjoying the delicious gelato and frozen yogurt. The frozen yogurt is self serve and you can have a sample of any of the ten different flavors, they always ask if you want a sample. There are consistent flavors like vanilla, Chocolate, Taro and Tart and the other four switch sometimes. I just tried the Dole Whip and it was so good, just like at Disneyland. They have a ton of toppings you can create with, one of the bars is candy based and the other is fruit based. They also have sauces and a magic shell machine. My favorite is the Taro with coconut, pineapple and mango it is just so tasty. The gelatos are always presented in a beautiful fashion and are just as tasty, my dad loves gelato. read more

But their customer service was SERIOUSLY lacking. I stopped going in due to that reason alone. About a month ago a friend wanted to stop in so I gave them another chance. I am so glad I did. They must have read or heard their skills we're subpar. Not only were they pleasant, they were downright friendly, chatty, and out on the floor offering samples. In my opinion, this place is flawless! Not only is the shop kept very clean, but the workers are always kind. The flavors of frozen yogurt here are incredible (I haven't tried anything else there yet so I wouldn't be able to judge that at the moment). My favorite it their Chocolate Brownie TuttiWow; how can a low calorie frozen yogurt with only 100 calories in their 12 oz size taste so much like indulgent chocolate ice cream? I never thought I'd be reviewing a gelato/yogurt place, but here we are. Located in the Vintage Oaks mall near Gymboree, Starbucks and DSW, the interior colors of red and orange along with the immaculately kept displays of frozen goodies, attracts kids like magnets. But adults can appreciate this place too - the gelato selection is diverse, always changing and tastes great. Today, one of the owners previewed his "Crema" concoction for us, and it was delicious - from imported Italian coffee, like the "crema" on an espresso. Equally good are the variety of fruit flavors, particularly the raspberry; I personally like mixes like the hazelnut brownie, banana chocolate, and many others. Other pluses: For the number of little kids and (possibly) messy adults, the place is maintained immaculately. The restroom is equally clean. The help is friendly and the husband/wife ownership team (I believe they're married!) are fun and generous of spirit. They have WiFi if you want to linger. Great, great place - whether you're out on a date, or a date with the kids. They're also open to 10 PM most nights, and I believe 11 one night. read more
